Reviews
The hotel staff is generally friendly and helpful, with a few exceptions. The location is ideal for concerts and shopping, but the rooms and facilities are outdated and in need of renovation. Some guests have reported issues with cleanliness and hidden fees.

At the time property was being renovated, with some demolition above had to leave as we where informed that the work would continue until 7:00PM and decided to leave and asked for a refund. No manager on site and we ended up loosing our money. When hotels are under renovation, it has to be disclosed prior. Hotels.com gave $25 quick cash back, but overall lost money.

It was walking distance to the places we wanted to visit. The hotel was nice with outdoor seating. Rooms were very nice as well. We sat near the front doors inside where there it was a lounging area. We were opening a bottle of wine. An employee told us we could not open anything or have food because there was a bar. The bar was closed. The employees were eating chicken fil a and Canes. And it was raining outside. I thought that was inhospitable and rude. They didn’t serve the wine we were opening either.

We had to listen to the fire alarm for an hour and a half. It was very loud and irritating- we were trying to get packed up and get out but we hadn’t even started to pack. I thought we should get some sort of a discount for the inconvenience but the front desk lady seemed to think otherwise. She did finally give us free parking, but she was not happy about it. Never apologized for anything.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped. It was advertised as having free high speed internet but there was no information in the room as to how to connect to the WiFi. Reception was also very poor. The next day I was told that the internet wasn’t working. This was very difficult for me as I was unable to contact family.

Picked this hotel because of name brand I like to use and location. Location to places in Woodlands was excellent. Lobby was nice but room was outdated. Old style furniture and small tv. Bathroom outdated as well. Disappointed that breakfast buffet was priced at $18 and was charged $15 per day to self park in a basic outside lot. Had to ask front desk for housekeeping to clean room. They showed up after 3 pm. We were already getting ready to head out for dinner and concert. Expected more for name brand and price. My last stay at a Hampton Inn was much better.

The thermostat didn’t do anything. I could barely sleep because it was hot and stuffy with a moldy odor. The bar was kind of a joke, no draft beer and we were served room temp shots.

The room was too small. It has stains all on the sheets on the bed. The breakfast did not come cool that you have to pay for breakfast. You already paying for a night $205 but you gotta pay for breakfast too. It should’ve been included everything you have to pay for the rooms are small. They have like a mildew smell. The air didn’t come on. It’s he an hour later.

Excellant front desk staff. Our room wasn't ready when we checked in right before 3:00 but they immediately offered us another room so no wait. Very clean and quiet hotel. Great walking to the Cynthia Mitchell Pavillion. Not impressed with the (expensive) breakfast buffet (eggs and gravy were not hot) Didnt see the microwave until almost finished, otherwise could have heated the plate up - but it was our choice to try it. Overall it was great - would stay there again

Unfortunately, our stay was uncomfortable, as our room was humid and sticky (even with thermostat set at 60), and the king bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Housekeeping did a great job and room was very clean, but no recycling, and towels were replaced after one use even though we'd hung them to dry/reuse.

Staff were pleasant and helpful when there were hiccups. The value of the breakfast was not worth the offering. I could have gone to any other hotel and received the same fare as a free continental breakfast. Additionally, we encountered numerous glitches such as wrong room, missing breakfast vouchers and staff attempting to charge us for the mediocre breakfast. As stated above, the staff was gracious, but the lack of organization and attention to detail was noticed.

When I got there to check in, I had forgotten my driver's license, but I did have it on my save Wallet on my phone, which I had never had any issues showing anywhere I stayed at. Anyway, the lady gave me a hard time and asked if she could transfer information to my husband name, and she really didn't want to help, but a nice Hispanic lady did help me. The only thing about the room was it really had an old smell, but it was very clean.

We reserved 2 rooms only one was ready at 3 pm we were told someone was in our room and they were waiting for them to leave so our room could be cleaned. The rooms were musty. What’s the point of having a set check in time if we can not check in? Breakfast 18 dollars? Parking 15 dollars? Not worth the 250 a night for sure!

Very convenient location to our event. Easy parking and check in! The bar was open when we returned and we enjoyed the bartender and other guests enjoying themselves! Our only complaint was that the buffet breakfast was $18 so we decided to go out to breakfast for a higher quality meal that costs much less and made to order.

We always stay at this hotel when we go to concerts. Great walking distance. Usually the hotel is perfect. This time there was no hot water, at night, after running for 30 minutes. In the morning there wasn’t any hot water either. When I told front desk they apologized and said that happens when they are fully booked. I would have liked some kind of discount especially for the price of the room.

We knew the policy that you can’t check in till three but if the rooms are done then you should be able to check in to your room an hour early. I work for a resort and if we have the rooms done we mark them done. I asked them if they were cleaning 400 or more rooms in 45 minutes. There was no way something wasn’t finished. We waited and I went up to check for a room and oh she looked and only one just popped up. And she didn’t even bother telling us till I asked. The lady was very rude and seemed uninterested in us at all.

My only complaint would be we weren't able to check on till after 4. We were in for a concert so I had to change up plans since we got to our room so late.

The staff is very nice but I had to switch rooms because the water pressure in the shower was very low and then in the second room the water shut off completely in mid shower. Also the tub was concave and I could not get stable footing. I don’t know how people don’t fall in their showers.

I cannot believe that you charge Hilton Honors members $12 for the priviledge of parking my car by myself, in your unsecured parking lot. No valet, no off premises lot, just a way to make a quick $12, and you accept no responsibility for theft or damage. What, exactly, am I paying $12 for?

The young during check in was awesome but no one explained you had to pay for parking daily. The room was clean and fresh. Now here’s where things went left. First and foremost this hotel has false advertisement, I booked this hotel thinking there’s complimentary breakfast which there was not, I also booked with the intention that I would go swimming but the pool water was green and you can see all the filth sitting in the bottom of the pool. Communication was poor overall, During checkout I was given a receipt with a total of $252 but my card was charged $276, the woman couldn’t explain why and also told me to my face that she in fact doesn’t see a transaction for $276 but today my account was credited $24. I would never book here again.

The property was to be expected for Hilton Garden Suites. It would be nice for the price to have at least a continental free breakfast. There was only one staff member I seen who was the front desk manager whom was very pleasant and helpful. The room could have used a little freshen up, and if 4 ppl check in I feel it should be common to have 4 sets of towels etc but we had to get extra from front desk in order for all of us to bathe, a little inconvenient as we were just staying for one night and basically needed to get to sleep and get out early am. Overall, the property was fine. Typical high prices for the Woodlands area.

Check in was terrible. Assigned key cards did not work. Made three trips to main desk before being reassigned a different room after key cards did not work. Tub-shower diverter did not convert from tub fill to shower operations so couldn't take a shower or wash our hair. Asked for another room change there was nothing available. Ask for maintenance no one showed. Ask to call management no response.
- 4/5
Nice place. Did not like that parking was not included in the price of the room. It was an add on charge. And no free breakfast. It was $18 a person. For the price of a $250 room it should be included.

Everything was good my biggest issue was the check in time couldn’t check in until 3pm and check out time was at noon I ask why late check in time I said they were full last night and cleaning the rooms was the reason for late check in time

Would definitely stay again.

Customer service was impeccable. Everything was clean and staff was very kind.

The stay itself was fine. No complaints. But I was charged an additional fee which after contacting the hotel was an accident that still hasn't been refunded to my card. The deposit at checkin that was supposed to be refunded still hasn't been refunded. So this has put a damper on my opinion of the hotel.

To advise that I booked in error a king room and needed a twin queen room, was advised that all had been changed and when we arrived after 7 hrs travel the abnoxious reception lady advised there was no change made on line and although there were twin rooms available I’d have to cancel my king room with full loss and book a new room for $190 I said no, I utilised the king mattress on the floor alongside the base bed with towels for some comfort Stayed in the hotel location several times as my record will show, advised my office to block it for all future bookings, needless to say all was returned to original when I left

The sofa bed was not ready for my son and both sofa and kind bed were really uncomfortable. I don’t recommend. The location is great but they really need some renovation.

I don't like hidden fees. I was shocked at a $12 parking fee because I drove a vehicle. There is plenty of parking and I feel like they found a way to squeeze more money from the customers. They also wanted $18 per person for breakfast. My 8 year old is not going to eat $18 dollars worth of powder eggs. I will not be staying a Hilton again.

Great hotel well located for the social life

Room rates are pretty high for the quality of the rooms, then you also pay $20 per car for parking. They also told me that breakfast was included with my stay and then told me in the morning I had to pay $18 per person. Will definitely choose a different hotel next time.

Upon check in, no personality by the woman at the front desk. Prepaid for a King Room, got two doubles and the musty stench in the room and dirty carpets are disgusting. Outdated is mildly put. Late arrival and wanted to put on the TV for some background noise to unwind and it doesn’t work, none of the inputs do. Will never come back.
- 5/5
They reservation/ check in process was flawless and simple. Reception people were friendly and eager to help. Lobby was pretty with desired snacks and light meals. They had a full bar which was nice since it was storming outside. BUT THE THING THAT MADE ME THE HAPPIEST IS THE CAME IN AND FRESHENED MY ROOM! After Covid no one wants to go back to that. That's why I stay in hotels! The service! Other more expensive hotels don't do that so Hilton is my new Go-to, whether garden Style or Luxury Tower. I'm in
- 5/5
Very Friendly
- 4/5
Lobby area was nice and updated but the room needs help and definitely needs a technology upgrade. No smart tv. No phone charger outlets and we didn’t bring the plug-in for our charger so we were out of luck with that. But it was quit and close to market street with sidewalks
- 5/5
Very close to woodlands mall

The manager remembered my name at checkout from checking in the day before. Very impressed!
- 3/5
The property & lobby was very fresh & nice looking. The rooms could use a refresh
- 5/5
Great property, well maintained and staff is friendly. Honestly I would almost consider this a 4 star hotel. And at $60 cheaper than the Residence right next store. I even splurged for the junior suite (suite was not available.
- 3/5
The hotel had obvious signs of "I don't care anymore" wear and tear. Wallpaper, all up and down the hall, peeling off the wall at the places where it connects. AC units that barely worked, or worked too well, with no in between. One moment the room was 78, the next it was 65... then back to 78 in 10 minutes without us touching the thermostat. They charged for parking in a non-covered parking area. They had a breakfast buffet that reminded me of a Holiday Inn, but they charged $17 a person for it. Lots of little reasons like this make me feel not quite like picking this hotel was a mistake, but more like it will be the last time I visit that hotel, as there are so many other options around that hopefully care more about their facilities, and the value they bring to their guests.

Hilton Garden Inn is my place to stay as I travel. Looking ahead to my next visit as Hilton hotels are the ones I choose first. Thank you Hilton. PartyOnPeople.
