Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio SeaWorld - Westover Hills

Everything was going great until it was shower time the water pressure was non existent. That’s a major issue! Getting back from the heat or even the pool you expect to come back and have a nice relaxing shower but the water pressure had other ideas. Never have I ever had such a low water pressure in any of the cheap hotels I’ve ever stayed at but to have it in the courtyard by Marriot is wild! I hope this issue is resolved for other guest.

This place was excellent for a 3 star hotel, I would even go ahead and rate it 3.99. Great place for family with kids who just want to get away and enjoy a pool food and drinks. Definitely be my first choice next visit, if on a budget.

The Courtyard by Marriott San Antonio SeaWorld is literally a 6 minute drive to SeaWorld, this is great when you are done for the day and just want to get back to the hotel. The pool was absolutely disgusting. There was stuff floating in it (clumps of hair, paper, rocks, bugs). I’ve never seen a hotel pool with blue/while chlorine floaters. I was worried about my children once I realized how nasty the water was.

The location was nice. We were in a good location for Sea World. Not very clean in the room we stayed in. Had to call for them to come up and tidy up some areas.

The bed is not kid friendly. It has steel on edges. My baby got injured when he hit the bed.

Room was dirty with other peoples hair in bathroom and on sheets. Pool was dirty but open. Charged for parking through 3rd party app. Some outside event was being held so parking was non existent even after I had to pay for it

A perfect hotel in every physical way. I had a problem with the charge that appeared on my card, but it was quickly fixed when I complained. Therefore, I suggest you check your card statement afterwards.

We love how close this hotel is to sea world! Newly renovated, parking was a bit of an issue due to something going on at hotel wish I would have known prior to arrival.

This hotel is under construction! None of the pictures on Expedia match anything that this Hotel provides. Everything is outdated. I stayed with two handicap people. One of the elevators wasn’t working, so I was forced to push my handicap Sister to a working elevator while my father followed behind having a very hard time walking on his own with his walker that distance . It was the hard and inconvenient for me to try to wheel around my handicap sister and make sure that my dad would not fall around all of their construction this Hotel. Hotel does NOT match Marriott standards whatsoever! There were broken bathroom doors, washing machines in the area provided for filling ice, made it impossible for a handicap person to even get into! My dad couldn’t use his bathroom fan because of the loud noise it was making. They were cutting down palm trees directly over the pool area on Friday at 1 o’clock in the afternoon . I was horrified to go back and find my sister covered in sawdust! They just started cutting trees over her!I tried to speak with the manager, but as soon as I started this is not Marriott standards. She became extremely upset! I explained to her that I threw away chlorine bottles that were left out at the pool and both doors we let open on the pool maintenance rooms?! The hot tub outside didn’t work for $1600 I would expect a little more than what we received. The general manager was very very rude and disrespectful when we went voice or concerns. Very disappointed!

Room was clean and updated enough but could’ve been better. Main issue was no hot water! Tepid showers so if hot showers are important to you stay elsewhere.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel location to Sea World was close and only 15-20 min from the Riverwalk. The outdoor pool is very family friendly. The only recommendation I have is for the Bistro. The bartender was super friendly and not her fault , but our nachos and kids grilled cheese took over one hour to be delivered and it was cold. It would be better just not to serve food if this is how long it takes. Other than that, this is a great place to stay and I will stay again!

there was lots of bird poop and nowhere during the booking was it said that they charge you per day to park your car on their lot.

The location is excellent. If you are looking for super closeness to Sea World, it's great. Considering this hotel is in the "budget friendly" category it is disappointing they do not have free breakfast and shocking that they charge for parking. We have stayed at several other hotel chains similar in price and get free parking and breakfast. So this sadly, is a one and done for us.

Rooms were very spacious and clean. Pool and balcony in too was very nice. Would definitely stay there again when in San Antonio.

They didn’t have housekeeping room was in terrible condition there was no one at check in waited for 30 minutes before we could find some one. Really bad experience. No parking always full horrible

The hotel was under construction and we were put on a floor that was having the floors redone so it was messy amd loud when workers were there. The pool area was being updated so the hot tub was not working and there was trash everywhere from the work being done. Parking spots were closed off the paying customers.

I had a really great experience staying at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and quick to help with anything I needed. Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was.

The toilet was used and the seat up as if a man used it then never cleaned. The bed was terrible and literal body impressions in the mattress. To top it off they charged me twice and still do not have my refund.

The pool was ok. I stayed for 2 nights and my room was not cleaned on the following day. Also did not stayed at the room I choosed online.

Found an unopened gallon of Lactaid in the rooms refrigerator, a full cup of soup too, plus two pairs of socks on the floor. WiFi only worked until 8:00 p.m. and never did work the next morning before we checked out.

There's construction going on but for the most part it's not an issue. Parking is full by pm so you have to park in the back. It would be nice if they had free breakfast.

Needs more comfortable beds

The outside hot tub was not working. Pool was nice but they are remodeling the hotel so some pool chairs and outside tables were stacked and pushed to the side, like it wasn't organized well. The inside pool is not as big as the picture looks.

Everything was amazing! We got a free upgrade when we got there. Only complaint is that you have to pay to park. Other than that everything was AMAZING!

Hotel was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! They should have closed down for renovations. They put us on a floor filled with cation tape and caulk. When I stepped off of the elevator I stepped right into putty to put new floors on. Ruined my $1100 shoes and all the said they would do is refund my room. They also said the general manager would call me which of course I never received a call from. Marriott has enough money to where they should have closed that floor for renovations.

They accidentally gave my room to another person (same name) but they immediately made up for it by upgrading us and getting us a better room and comping our breakfast and parking. The staff was very accommodating.

Found a used cape in the pull out couch. Found lots of hairs in the shower. There was still food and drinks in the refrigerator in the room.

The bed is awesome as was the water pressure and shower head. Internet access was consistent and the staff was always helpful and friendly. If I could change anything, I would put a microwave in every room along with complimentary refrigerator.

My room had loose ragged material hanging from under the mattresses. The bathroom floor was filthy. The toilet stopped up and the guests above were super loud. The hallways on the third floor had says s on the carpet from paint and construction throughout. It was not appealing at all. The staff was super nice though.

The staff was very kind but our rooms pull out sofa bed was so dirty. The body wash and conditioner was out. I had put 2 adults and two teenagers would be staying in the room and I only had 3 towels. Third we were there for three nights and not once did housekeeping come in to change sheets or towels. I expect this out of lower end hotels but this was a higher end Marriott and expected more. We will not be staying here again in the future.

Over all our stay was great, but our specific room was clearly not cleaned properly. A small women’s coat was hanging in the closet. There were beer bottle caps on counters. The couch was stained. This is one of my favorite locations, but this room was lacking. Can’t wait for the renovations.

Stayed away from downtown to avoid parking fees but was still charged $10/day. Room had bugs and was noisy from kids running down the hall. Staff was great!

The guy at the front desk was great however housekeeping is seriously LACKING! Every day we had to go to the front desk for coffee. By day 3 still no Housekeeping. Back to front desk for more coffee, clean towels and trash bags as the small cans were overflowing. We did not have a DO Not Disturb sign on the door but yet it’s been 3 days and many trips to the lobby. Finally 4 days later housekeeping FINALLY shows up, do you want clean towels etc, at this point we said why bother, we are leaving in the morning. The Hispanic woman at the front desk could use some manners. Asked for a box of tissues and she acted like it was coming out of her paycheck. We said 4 people with allergies and maybe half a box of tissues is not enough. We were wondering when we walked to the room on the first day why filled trash bags were sitting by the doors. We get it now. NO ONE comes to your room for supplies or to clean. Calling the front desk is useless. NO ONE answers the phone. Will we stay there again, probably not. The service in the bar area was beyond terrible. The attendants were lazy and not attentive. There was only one other customer so it wasn’t because they were busy. They didn’t represent the hotel well at all.

We are booked at another Marriott in Hawaii next year and are considering canceling it because of this experience. The location to Sea World was spectacular. That’s the only redeeming factor.

We stay here every time we're in town. It's close enough to downtown and other sites, only a 20 minute ride from everything. The staff are amazing and there are two pools to enjoy...can't go wrong.

Terrible experience, never coming back! I arrived at this hotel expecting at least the basics, and I just kept getting more and more disappointed. First of all, they don’t say anywhere that you have to pay for parking. You already pay a lot for the room and then get hit with this extra surprise at check-in. Totally misleading. Second, there is no breakfast included. Not even a simple coffee or something basic. Nowadays almost every decent hotel offers at least some kind of breakfast, but not this one. Third, there was only one jacuzzi working. The others were closed/broken. If you book thinking you’re going to relax, forget it. Too many people trying to use the same jacuzzi, you basically have to wait in line. Ridiculous. To make it worse, there is no microwave in the room, and not even a proper area to heat up food. For anyone traveling with kids or who likes a bit of practicality, this is a huge inconvenience. Great stay! Rooms were spacious & clean! Great price! The pool area was beautiful, and can’t beat that there is a Starbucks inside hotel and small restaurant. Overall would stay again!

The room was clean. It was spotless. It had good amenities. I didn't like that the fridge was broken. It sucked not having a place to put our left overs. We were on a time crunch so we couldn't make a fuss because we had places to be.

The pool was closed. Nice waiting area. Wish you had large tv's to watch while having a drink instead of going out to a restaurant/bar.

The hotel was luxurious, clean and comfortable. We had a very good stay except for one front desk lady who told us the stairs were out of order (fire code violation) which was an issue because our son doesn’t do elevators . He was going to pay extra to book another hotel but turns out there were two that were open but she was misleading. Otherwise we had a good experience.

They refused to clean our room and change the bedsheets every day and we had to continually ask for more towels. The water for a shower was always cold!

Room was not cleaned enough. It looked like a damn booger on the wall next to the restroom and the balcony was not swept and candy wrappers left out there. Didn’t get in pool. The water was shut off so we couldn’t shower, use the restroom or brush teeth. Staff didn’t send out any notice by email or calls. I love the Marriott but this one was not it.

I recently had a 3-night stay at the Marriott Courtyard. There was minimal lukewarm water, NO HOT WATER for showers or in the bathroom sink. I had to ask the front desk multiple times for fresh towels, starting with the 1st ask around 0650 am. I finally got towels after 3pm. For the price, hot water and clean towels are not a lot to ask for. We will not be staying again.

Had an awesome stay here! The hotel was super family-friendly, clean, and comfy. It’s also close to SeaWorld, so we didn’t have to deal with long drives. The pool was definitely a standout — super nice and perfect for unwinding after a day at the park. Definitely recommend!

There were ants in the bathroom and the hot water was not warm enough, even though the room was on first floor. Plumber came as soon as I called, but there was little he cud fix. Looks to be a major problem that the hotel building needs to be fixed. First time bad experience with Marriott, hope u can fix it.

Outside was dirty, trashy. Room was ok very cold. Bar very high close for drinks. Coffee bar extremely sweet. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!! It's you want SOME KINDA OF PEACE & RELAXATION don't go there, kids were loud & rubbing around in hall way. The picture online isn't update. Gates & security is insane cause probably ghetto. Not my cup of tea. AND WON'T BE RETURNING there Again.

The carpet on the floor needs to be steamed and cleaned. Also, the tile in the bathroom is very slippery when you get out the shower and my husband fell really bad and hit his head on the toilet in the handicap. They should put a different type of flooring in the bathroom, especially the handicap bathroom and also rails not just in the shower but outside.

Still have to input my card info in. Just not needed. Tv in the room has lines in it. Mother board is bad. Had no towels in the room. It’s not the end of the world but just so inconvenient. Won’t be coming back to this hotel.

A very nice property close to West San Antonio attractions. The property had a nice lobby, bistro, and pool area. Only complaints are that you have to pay for parking, which seems to be pretty a common practice in San Antonio, and the bistro meal prices are high compared to the quality of the meal.

Sadly the room we had, was full of ants!!! Which we noticed towards the end of our stay since we weren’t in the room much. Other than that, lovely hotel & staff. Just bad room I guess!

This hotel sits off of 151 and Wiseman. There is literally nothing next to it besides a gas station yet they charge guests $10 per night to park. When I asked why they said because of seaworld. No one is parking at this hotel then walking 3 miles to go to seaworld. No complimentary coffee or breakfast is available. Walls are thin. I heard the people next dooor two nights in a row, one time at 3:30 AM walking back and forth in the room. Won’t stay here again.

The late night staff was very accommodating when my flight was delayed. And the checkout staff was amazing as well! The hotel was very clean and nice!

Was a work trip and stayed pretty busy, so didn't get to enjoy much of what the hotel had to offer. From what I did experience, housekeeping did a good job and the staff was friendly and ready to help. Pool looked nice and clean.

Everything was great at the property the only thing i didn't like was the parking situation there was an event going on we couldn't find somewhere to park waited for someone to leave not fair if we had to pay for our parking at the property...Everything was great ... housekeeper went to our room gave us fresh towels one time our stay was 4days but i took my own towels tho .. staff was friendly helpful in any questions i may had during my stay ... not sure why but my husbands allergies were bad not sure if the Ac or what but overall was great and relaxing the hot tub fantastic.

I honestly don't know why I keep booking at any of the Marriott properties. Everything is just ok. They don't have anything that even makes me want to keep staying at these properties, not even free coffee. I've stayed at more expensive hotels and way less expensive and they offer a lot more perks to make your stay comfortable.

Always clean and very respectful staff

The pool and jacuzzi was excellent . The staff were professional and went above and Beyond to help my accommodations needed. November the Assistant Manager made it happen. Not only did she welcome me with a professional greeting. She had everything ready for my check in. The process was very smooth. And all I can say is this hotel had the best burger and had a restaurant and movie theater sitting style with huge chairs and laid back recline seats I could go on and on. Liz was helpful so was Jannetta. Second shift personal and third shift. Were super helpful also 10 stars. All the way. I had a good time here. Highly recommended .

Absolutely disgusting hotel. So dirty so dirty so dirty. Cockroaches everywhere terrible smell, and the rooms are horrible. I would not ever ever stay here again.

The indoor pool was full of mosquitoes, something I’ve never experienced on past trips to southern Texas. One hot tub was broken and surrounded by chairs, which made the area feel even more uninviting. The hallways had a strange odor, and looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in some time. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, though it was manageable, and the room itself was clean enough for our needs. Unfortunately, the view from our window was completely blocked by a construction pod in the parking lot, which added to the off-putting feel. That said, the property did serve its purpose for the weekend. The best part of the stay was the location—just a quick five-minute drive to SeaWorld, which was the main reason for our visit. For that convenience, it worked, but between the poor service, lack of upkeep, and general atmosphere, it isn’t a hotel I’d be eager to return to.

I booked 3 nights here and my room keys became deactivated every few hours so I had to constantly go to the front desk. Housekeeping did not come back when I asked for a few moments before letting them in and the next day I told them I did not need them and when I left and came back they had been in my room. I grabbed donuts and a waffle for breakfast to take back to my room and I was hassled and told that I couldn’t even though im paid for a 3 night stay which means I ate every other meal in my room. The television barely worked and the hotel clerk gave me the excuse that they were switching from cable to digital so that’s why my channels were not working and I know that’s a lie. Honestly, spend the extra money and stay elsewhere. If you’re out of town working and have low expectations then I this is fine but if you want a quality stay, go elsewhere. The staff was nice but that did not account for my overall stay.

I had a good business trip for the most part. The staff are great. Staff are willing to help and make things right. I do wish that all rooms had a microwave, to my knowledge you can request one during long stays, but ! It has to be available, people stay for long periods of the time there. Unfortunately not having a microwave was an inconvenience for me, I didn’t enjoy having to travel too the lobby to heat up my food, it was very dreadful. I can say that i was highly appreciative of the refrigerator in my room. The amenities are pretty cool, great for events or business, the gym is nice and the pool is decent. Unfortunately on my visit the dive bar wasn’t open.

Hotel seemed nice. Didnt know we would also have to pay for parking once we got there. Paid extra for rhe breakfast that was mediocre. Internet wouldnt stay connected on our devices at all, and would not let us use our ipads to stream at all. For the price we were disappointed.

They only do housekeeping every other day, which is fine but the day they came to clean up the room they only did one bed instead of both beds. There was no microwave and when you travel with kids, you expect a microwave because they like to warm up leftovers.

Careful, they wouldn’t give rewards for Marriott because the reservation was through Expedia. Parking was so expensive $25 per night. Room smelled musky and had a bunch of chips in seat. Okay for a quick sleep on a road trip but no longer than that.

The hotel is in the process of renovation and not all elevators are working. We had a hard time getting around with our kids. The pool was a big hit though!

When we booked the property we had hopes of a swim up bar and relaxing in a pool. The theme of this hotel should be temporarily closed. The indoor pool and spa.... temporarily closed. The outdoor swim up bar..... temporarily closed. The one thing at the pool that did work was the music that they started playing around 7:45 AM each day. That was my morning wake up, that I didn't want or ask for, each day. The walls are also super thin and we could hear the people above us moving around all night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

this hotel charges $10 for parking for some reason. the water pressure was terrible and the water was warm at best. they also were under construction in the lobby area. the price should come down if they aren't providing regular service. lastly, they did not provide room service unless asked.

They were working on the prooerty, so at times part of the lobby was closed due to the workers having areas taped off. Or there was paint buckets in the lobby halls which you had tl be careful not to bump into. The housekeeper staff that we saw when going down the elevator were not friendly. They wouldn't say hello to us. Just stared at us and that was awkward and uncomfortable. Lastly, there was an evening that they were hosting a banquet and the parking was limited. We were not informed about this during our check-in, and we had a hard time finding parking that evening. Overall, we would not stay at this location again.

We upgraded and got the King Suite this year. It was money well spent! The room was big, we had a balcony and the kids really loved it. This was my 2nd stay here, definitely will be coming back and getting the king suite again!

We enjoyed the pool and on site grill. The communication was great. The GM emailed earlier in the week to advise the indoor pool was out of service due to a part back order, but the outdoor pool was good to go. The pool is connected indoor and and out. Even with just the outdoor pool, we had a great time. The splah pad was off. I advised the front desk and they took care of it right away. Definitely going back.

But they failed to inform me upon check-in that there would be construction/remodeling going on on the floor above mine. Spent a whole afternoon listening to hammer drills and stomping through my ceiling.

There was construction on the property so I don’t think the price should’ve been what it was. Also no continental breakfast. The staff members were fantastic!

The road noise was unbearable. I had a sound machine and the ac turned down for the fan to stay on and I still had to sleep with my fingers in my ears. The beds were hard as a rock. Expedia said breakfast was included-it was not. The pool was nice for my toddler but other than that, I wouldn’t stay there again. Definitely false advertising

Easy check in, easy access and parking, close to just about everything. The room was large, clean and quiet. The balcony was large with a good view of the courtyard/pool area. Basically can't find anything to complain about, will definitely stay again when in San Antonio.

We accidentally left some hanging clothes in the closet and the hotel said they didn't find them. So that means that the cleaning service took them and didn't report it to the front desk or they just didn't look in the closet and lied and told us there was nothing there. We 100% left them there

The hotel was conveniently located and the pu lic areas were clean. Our room did have a broken towel rack and the bottom stripping on the room door was loose making it difficult to close. Also the indoor pool area was out of order and they ran out of pool towels. The outdoor pool can use better lighting in and over the pool.

Great property and took good care of us on our cross-country travel. However, for a property in an area with plenty of space, it was a bit frustrating to have to pay for parking. Seems a little greedy.
