The location was perfect. Really helpful guy that worked at the front desk, i think his name was Emerson. Breakfast was fresh and delicious with a wide variety. Enjoyed the pool top terrace in the evenings. All in all a great stay. You could see Christ the Redeemer from the terrace room was quite noisy.

It took a long time to get the final invoice and had to push several times t get a Nota Fiscal. After a week it popped up in my inbox.

Our stay at Astoria Palace Hotel was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has an incredible location right in front of Copacabana Beach, with breathtaking ocean views and a beautiful rooftop area. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and very relaxing after a long day exploring Rio de Janeiro. The breakfast was delicious with many fresh options, and the staff was always kind, attentive, and professional. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere and the amazing view from the rooftop pool. A perfect hotel for anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty and energy of Copacabana in comfort and style. Highly recommended!

Location was great, clean. Rooftop was amazing. Breakfast was a bonus. No view at all. Just a corner window looking at air conditioner unit. Not that I expected ocean view, but something to look at.

Friendly staff especially mr Leanardo and mr Rosemberg Great location snd good breakfast Noise in the vicinity of the hotel

The location was excellent, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. We had a great time. The rooftop had a great view. See photos. The pools were not well cared for. The small lower one seemed to have algae and the larger one had some mold around the edges.

Location was great! Breakfast was decent - a good variety. Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Cleaning service was prompt. The "bell boys" were super friendly. One man lent us his umbrella for the beach one day (after being told from the front desk (Rosemberg) that their were no umbrellas in the area to be lent out/purchased). He was very friendly - always smiling. Nice view from the rooftop! Small roof top pool (it's more like a hot tub). The shower in the room was a bit dingy/moldy. Facilities need upgrading. The day time front desk help (his name is Rosemberg) was so unpleasant, unprofessional, and disrespectful. When asked a question, he wouldn't even make eye contact with me. This was consistent from check-in to check-out. He has the worst attitude. When asked if he spoke english, he didn't even respond, just a look of disgust came across his face. His bad attitude left a lasting impression. It's unfortuante because the rest of the staff were a lot more friendly/accommodating.

Location and I was able to leave my suitcase at reception after check out. I understand that it’s an old hotel BUT the basic amenities should be new - the towels were old / hair dryer terrible / flush did not work properly The AC started to leak during the night and had to be switched off as it made the entire side table wet. There’s Netflix / Youtube app on the TV but it doesn’t work. I called reception to fix the connection and all I got as a reply was : “ it doesn’t work and that’s it “

Ithe location and breakfast was ok It is actually shame to have this location and not having upgraded hotel. Rooms are so old, dirty , i had to clean with Clorax everyrting, hairs in the sink,no one came to clean the room though i asked several times. Towels almost black colour not white ,you can not touch the curtain to out a side so filthy. Breakfast was only thing that was ok. The reception barely speaks English, staff is nice but it is not their hotel , whoever is the manager and owner are the once to be blamed. I checked Palace hotel which is one of the most expensive there but not impressed, apparantely the hotel are not well maintained.

Staff very accommodating Breakfast too much sugar and too less fibre.

The location is near the beach I usually only write good reviews, but I can’t ignore what happened to me at this hotel. If you care about your safety or your belongings, DON’T STAY HERE. During my stay, $2,000 in cash was taken from my room while it was being cleaned. When I talked to the management, they were very dismissive. Their only response was to blame me for not using the safe - even though nobody told me about a safe or any security rules during the entire check-in process.

Location on Copacabana Beach was fantastic! The bathroom was old. Shower fixtures leaked water so there was puddling outside the bathtub/shower.
