The breakfast and the location. The staff were friendly and polite as well. The room (standard room) could have been refreshed. The walls were bubbled and the washroom was never well cleaned, I had to use my own products to clean the toilet and shower.

I would definitely recommend this stay for anyone who worries about safety in Rio! This was the perfect location - walking distance to the beach and so many good food spots as well, so it was easy to walk to dinner in the evenings. Breakfast was also really good and we made use of the pool, which was also really nice. The staff. Almost nobody spoke English and it was very difficult to communicate. We arrived at 7am after a very long journey, and they were not helpful at all to accomodate us with our luggages and for us to change. They even charged us for leaving the luggage there before checking in. Other than that, the only other thing we did not like was the gym - small and old machinery and very exposed to the heat.

Location was really good, the breakfast was good as well with a lot of options, the room was spacious enough, the only thing that could be better was the TV, it was too old and wasn't a Smart TV TV of the room was too old, not it wasn't smart so we couldn't watch streaming or other entertainment that we would like to during the night

Need an update
-
Location , near Copacabana palace Elevator not working properly , and no water on the tap
-
The location is excellent, it’s located just two blocks from the beach. The elevators are way too old so you have to wait a lot of time to get one.

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff! Went out of their way to be accommodating to us. Easy walk to Copacabana

Nothing. Only the location. The worst hotel i have ever been in my life.

Pool Street noise
-
Breakfast and the roof top pool area were nice. Quiet old facilities. The windows are single-paned and there was a lot of street noise even on the 13th floor. Also our neighbors were very loud—i think the listing claimed the rooms were sound proof, and that definitely wasn’t the case. The housekeeper took away the key we left in the thing that shuts off power when the room is vacant when we were trying to charge our electronics—I assume that is about rationing AC. Prices are far too high for the accommodations provided. Will not be back.

Such nice place, perfect Location, nice pool and BEST. BREAKFAST.

Once I had already paid thru booking they told me that I Bring another person to the room I gotta pay an extra 30 dollars fee (AFTER I HAD PAID). The matress at the superior room is not comfortable, in fact it is two mattresses together, and bad ones. The swimming pool is way better in the picture than in reality.

Very clean and well maintained. Excellent staff. It was a heat wave and the building was struggling to stay cool. It's time to change the carpet in the lobby.

The staff is very nice, friendly, helpful and pleasant. It looks old, needs maintenance and rehabilitation. It is an expensive 4 star hotel, but it does not look like a 4 star hotel. The bath tub is brownish, the little shower for washing was almost broken, the walls need painting, door has scratches, the rooms are small, the ad pictures seem great but it is definitely all that. They need to rehabilitate surely.

I liked only the location. And the General Manager of the hotel is an amazing, polite, intelligent, hardworking and attentive person. I wish she could improve all the existing issues as soon as possible. The room was not clean enough: dirty towels, bedsheets, pillowcases. The location is very noisy, even at night. There is no hot water in the sink, which I learned that is quite common in hotels in Brazil, however this is very inconvenient for those who are used to shaving with warm water. Additionally, some of the reception staff are not well trained to attend the guests in a proper and respectful manner: when i asked to fix the drainage issue in the sink, they told they would attend the next day; when i asked to meet the manager, they told ok, but it took two days for them to communicate to the general manager; who indeed is an amazing and intelligent lady, attentive to the details and as soon as she was informed about the issues, she did her best to fix everything. However the staff at the reception needs a proper training and the lady in the restaurant needs a warning for being rude and not attending well to the clients. She was literally rude and by this could even affect the appetite of the evening guests at the restaurant. I wish the general manager could check them all at random times, especially in the evenings and explain that the guests often deserve a respectful attendance and the issues they encounter first belong to the hotel..

The place is central, plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around. The stuff is very nice, helpful and welcoming. My room was a bit outdated, the shower was a bit weak.

The receptionist treated me in a way that if it wasn't super late and I wasn't super tired of the drive I would choose somewhere else to stay.
