Hotel Nettuno
About Hotel Nettuno
Located in one of the most historically important streets in Naples, the hotel is set in the ancient center of the city, surrounded by the most beautiful open archeological finds in the city. Opened during the 1960’s, and restored several times to offer the most modern comforts, the Hotel Nettuno owes its name to the very famous statue of Neptune’s God, created by Michelangelo Naccherino in 1599. After a long day you can relax on the hotel’s roof-garden, where it is possible to admire the most beautiful Sacred Domes in the city, such as Santa Maria La Nova or the Monastery of Santa Chiara, as well as a partial panorama of Vesuvio’s peak and the nearby Mountain Somma. The breakfast was very good value. Some hooks in the room for jackets would have been appreciated.

The property was super close to the Universita metro station and close to the historical center. Great 5 euro breakfast offered in the terrace. The spot is in a more local area and looks a little bit sketchy but it is just a Naples thing. The place was super clean, affordable and clean single room. Amazing views from the terrace and everyone was so nice at the front desk. There is someone at the front desk 24 hrs and they cleaned the room every day. Would recommend for someone looking to save some money but also appreciates a clean great stay. Rooms are updated — would stay again! Also 13 min walk to the port for the ferries for day trips to Amalfi, Capri etc. also it is on the 4th floor but there is an elevator. A few steps to climb to get to the elevator so just be aware if you have a lot of luggage.

some distance from the central train station makes it safe and quiet but easy to get there. Fresh made croissant as breakfast is very nice. The room is small but makes me feel cozy and safe.

The location is great. Walking distance to the main sights. The area felt safe provided you know how to be cautious in big, crowded cities (the same all over the world). Room was clean and functional. About 20 steps to the lift so not too arduous. Staff were friendly and called an airport taxi for us and recommended restaurants. Churches are closed 12:45-16:00 so plan around that. Also book in advance for popular museums. A good experience living like an Italian. Don't expect too much and be laissez faire. All was fine.
