The one amenity I was l was looking forward to, in the heat and humidity, was the pool. Unfortunately this was a severe disappointment. The pool, located on an exposed roof, has NO umbrellas, and is a huge concrete slab that has absolutely no appeal. There is no bar or service to obtain drinks, and the exposure is such that all one can expect is dehydration and sunburn. If it were not for the need to attend my CE course, I would not choose to stay at this hotel unless I felt like shopping to get out of the heat and humidity.

The old Galleria hotel is showing its age but still a very nice property. Solid building built back when they knew how. Quiet. I'm surprised that the pool area is not exactly run down but plain, empty, lots of wasted Galleria $1000sq/ft real estate. There could be a Tiki bar up there!

Great location, great staff. My room (1307) had a leaking shower hose which would squirt and wet up the outside floor the moment you turned on the water. Also, my room was a Junior suite; was surprised that there was no microwave or separate small sink.

The rooms were extremely clean and the staff were extremely helpful. We could not have had a better time at the galleria although I have stayed here on numerous occasions and I’ve never had a bad experience.

Cat piss ( not even kidding) probably because of humidity in their laundry room, they said I had free breakfast because of the incident and later on they charged me .. telling me its only pending and that im assuredly getting my money in around 30 days because im an international client. Don't stay here , I only did because I went for shopping.

I loved everything about it the room was beautiful and clean with a walk in shower with two showers heads. Those big luxury square head and the other one you hold in your hand. We were up on the 20th floor with a view facing Houston North side it was beautiful. Destination was great connected to the Galleria Mall and a host of restaurants all around us. What I didn’t like was the parking, it’s free but it’s hard to find parking spots and valet parking runs 52 dollars over night. The towel was hard and I expected a place like that to have soft towels when I dry myself off after enjoying their amazing shower heads.

The hotel was great and it was so nice to be connected to the Galleria for shopping and so many restaurants. The elevator system is very good and security is excellent. Self parking in the garage is free. The gym is nice and has 4 Pelotons.

Hotel reception was good and fast but the rooms need serious sound insulation from all sides. We could hear every car on the road and every neighbor closing his hotel room door. We could not till around 2 am because of the noise. Pillows are very low quality. Woke up with neck and shoulder pain.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Conveniently located right in the mall, we ate at Joey Uptown across the street and it was delicious. Bedding and room were very nice and clean. There were actually multiple layers of bedding which I appreciate rather than the thin "blanket/sheet" that seems to be popular. We would definitely stay here again. A+++

My key cards kept demagnetizing, so I trouble with them several times. Unfortunately, a guest a few doors away on my hallway had a medical emergency. I had to pass by on my way back to my room and I could see his body on the floor. I think that he died.

Unfortunately, the people in the room next to mine desided to smoke weed, and the smell was all three days I was there. That said, I did run into a few issues worth noting. I had some packages delivered during my stay, and I wasn’t aware there would be a $10 charge per package, even as a guest with a reservation. In the end, I was charged more than expected (about $65), and when I inquired, the adjustments and deductions weren’t clearly explained, which left me a bit confused. It would be great if the package policy were communicated more clearly and managed more transparently. Another hiccup was with breakfast. Although my reservation didn’t include breakfast, a staff member at the front desk kindly offered me a complimentary breakfast for Friday as an upgrade. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the restaurant, they told me it wasn’t included and I had to pay for it—so that was a bit disappointing and awkward. Lastly, there was a $29 daily charge for amenities like restaurant credit, skating, and museum access, which I wasn’t interested in using. I would have appreciated the option to decline that charge, rather than having it automatically added. Despite these concerns, the hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff was generally helpful and friendly. I just hope they can improve clarity and consistency around charges.

We had to ask for toilet paper and didn’t get coffee to make after the first morning. The bar was supposed to be open till midnight. We went to get a night cap at 11:30 and the bartender had already shut it down. We shamed him to open it back up. Not a quality stay for $900 for only nights.

I felt safe and secure in this hotel and i appreciate the security system connected to the entrances and the elevators. My only real critique is that the 4th floor roof top pool need furniture and decor upgrades and there is far too much room in the pool area for so much of the space to be empty and unused. There should be more atmosphere around the pool area. There are speakers everywhere around the pool area but no music, no sound at all. I really enjoyed this hotel and my executive king, corner room was perfectly decorated and smelled amazing. I loved the space and the separate sitting area. I will be back.

The hotel was fine. No complaints. The area around the hotel was questionable. Young people walking around in traffic without crosswalks. Potential accidents. Young people doing disrespectful things like filming women and just has a slightly dangerous feel walking out in the evening.

Convenient to local restaurants outside of the mall, but no shuttle van. Had to Lyft everywhere. While the hotel was pretty on the inside, the outside of building was old and run down including the windows & doors leading into the lobby. The rooms were nice, but the popcorn ceiling and drop ceilings were outdated. Looks like this is where you cheaped out. The restaurant the White Oak was good, but they were out of 3 dishes including pancakes, but they could make waffles. Overall though the service was good the housekeeping was great and the fitness center was very nice and clean. Having mall access was very convenient.

During my trip, the city of Houston was essentially shut down due to an unprecedented 6 inches of snow, forcing the airport to close. I had to extend my stay on a daily basis while waiting for flights to resume. When I finally secured a flight for the following morning and attempted to cancel my reservation for the upcoming night, I was met with a flat-out refusal from the front desk. While I understand the existence of “rules and regulations,” extraordinary situations like this require a level of courtesy and understanding. Instead, I was charged for an entire additional night despite clearly explaining that I would not be staying. This rigid and greedy approach left a bad taste in my mouth, especially considering the extenuating circumstances. A little flexibility and empathy from the front desk would have gone a long way. Until this hotel addresses its front desk issues and prioritizes customer service, I cannot recommend it to other travelers, particularly during unpredictable situations.

The staff was very accommodating and courteous. Great rooms and location is fabulous for all shopping or ice skating.

Negotiating the parking lot and accessing the parking garage were difficult and time consuming. Directions from the staff at the porte-cochère and in the parking area were vague and not helpful. Most importantly: The highly inventive "Destination Fee" is nothing but a gouge. We were told that if we ordered room service the $25 fee would be deducted from the bill. IT WAS NOT. We paid the $25 fee plus our credit card was billed an additional $100! For what? Our order was 4 cups of coffee and 2 english muffins. That is nothing but wanton theft. Shame on you. Enjoy your grift. We will not be back. Let's see if anyone in your organization has the integrity to respond.

Someone must have been smoking weed in the hallway, because I woke up around 1:30/1:45am to the unmistakeable smell of weed in my hotel room where I and my young children were sleeping. I do not feel like there was much value for over $300 for the night. It was also loud on and off all night - not necessarily people as much as mechanical noises and maybe doors and elevators opening and closing to deal with the aftermath of whatever happened on our floor. There were carpet refreshers/fans blowing loudly immediately outside our room in the morning. No one asked how our stay was at checkout so no apologies or concessions were offered. The shower didn’t drain well, and I’m not sure the air conditioning was in great shape either. I have no recourse and am out a lot of money. Perhaps a parent with children is not the right demographic for this hotel. It otherwise seemed promising, and the gym was quite good. Room service was fast.

Big areas and beautiful room

I liked that everything we needed to do was conveniently close. The mall was easily accessible and so were the stores we needed to go to. What I didn’t like was that if you need ADA parking there were only 4 parking spots available for that.

Still no restaurant…
