I was given an old room that had nasty stains in the sleep area and bathroom. The room should not be assigned to anyone until it's rectified. Also, the door to the room was extremely heavy. I closed the door and didn't realize the door was not fully closed, which scared me. I couldn't open the door upon entry because the door was extremely heavy. Overall staff were great!!! I did complain about the room and was given an option to move to another room.

Clean rooms, super friendly staff that want to go above and beyond ! Such comfy stay for my family and I . The overall ambience upstairs where the rooms are are very quiet which is nice and the downstairs is nice social area, I wish there were more trash cans upstairs such as near elevators but other than that everything was a lovely experience.

My only complaints: 1- the coffee maker in the room was very dirty and needed to be cleaned. 2- The iron was missing from my room and despite two requests I never did receive one. So I was a bit more wrinkled at meetings than I had hoped. 3- The valet only parking option was overpriced and not terribly convenient. Would have preferred a self parking option. I ended up parking in a neighboring lot.

We been members of Hyatt since 2018, and we love it, rooms are clean and fresh, we are comfortable staying here. Everytime we travel, we stay at Hyatt because we feel safe, the staff does not disappoint, bilingual staff is a plus for my family, we enjoy the breakfast, the only think that i do not aggree/disliked is the fact that we need to pay for parking, i wish it could be included w the stay.

The valet and parking attendants are consistently rude, unprofessional, and unnecessarily confrontational. Simply trying to get picked up in front of the hotel turns into an argument. Instead of a smooth guest experience, you’re forced to either deal with attitude or walk out to the street and navigate active traffic just to avoid the hassle. What’s even more frustrating is the hotel’s response. When this issue is raised, management deflects responsibility by saying the parking company is a third party. That may be true contractually, but from a guest perspective, they are representing the Hyatt experience—whether the hotel acknowledges it or not. This disconnect between the hotel’s quality and the parking experience is significant and needs to be addressed. It’s disappointing to see such a well-run property allow an outsourced service to damage its reputation.

The only reason why I would not give this establishment a 5 star is because one of the valet staff made my wife uncomfortable.

Through it took two hours before we were able to get in our room, the room was clean. I loved the couch (similar to a sectional) and the design of the shower. My friends and I had lunch at the hotel restaurant, Urban Star. The menu offered a variety of dishes, including empanadas and chili. Lunch was delicious! Service was great. We parked our rental VIP and the team didn’t disappoint. We experienced very short wait times for our car and were always met with a joyful team member as we arrived at the end of the day. Overall, I had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Houston and would stay there again!

Wrote in advance, called Hotel, called Booking with: trouble finding one of the reservations and requesting bedding without feathers. Completely ignored in all requests. Asked daily for NO feathers. Always ignored. Room dirty, half made room at almost 6 pm without doing the shower-restrooom. Really unhappy.

Check I was easy. Room was dirty, bathroom had what looked to be fecal on the floor, bad odor in room, stains on floor and night stand. The cafe, asked for three coffee’s they just forgot to make the other two and walked off. So the only feature that was great was location from HLSR.

Not much. The front desk staff was extremely rude, and the manager Aman was not helpful at all in resolving the situation or assisting with finding another hotel. First off, the hotel overbooked and left half my coworkers with no rooms. The hotel claimed that booking.com had cancelled their rooms on 2/24 at 2AM but booking.com was called at the time that we were attempting to check in and told the manager that they did not cancel the rooms. I have not been refunded by booking.com nor did I get 5 of 7 rooms that I reserved and paid for. I have received no credits, and the hotel staff was insistent that booking.com canceled but I watched someone else take my rooms. Arman had the keys for all of us in his hand and the other girl working the front desk took the other rooms from him and gave them to another guest. So, we had to scramble to find rooms for 2 of our coworkers and all the hotels in Houston were booked. I will never book with Hyatt or Booking.com ever again. The Hyatt staff was so very rude and hateful about the whole situation, and it had nothing to do with us. I am making complaints with Booking.com, the BBB, and I have even called the Mayor of Houston to complain about Hyatt and not to recommend them to people coming to visit. I am writing very nasty reviews. I can not believe that Hyatt would cancel our rooms at the last minute when we booked the rooms a month in advance. There was no notification from Booking.com nor Hyatt that the rooms were cancelled. Hyatt and Booking.com stole money from me.

No complimentary water. You have to be an Elite Hyatt member or a bottle of water is $3. Breakfast, I believe ended at 9:30 am, which is way too early. The toilet was a little loose at the bottom, so it moved. Also, they didn't give me any info, on anything, just a key and a room number. No list of local restaurants (that deliver), etc. No coupons, of any sort... No local activities...

My only gripe is that I bought this hotel specifically to sit by the pool to catch some Texas Sun and this time of year the pool was shaded literally the entire day, blocked entirely by the building. I wish I had known that. If that doesn’t matter to you, it’s a great option.

This was a fantastic stay; you have a mall across the street, a selection of eateries both within and outside the hotel, and a beautiful view from your room. Hind is a lovely person who served as a wonderful host, recommending sites and making our stay even more memorable!

The two cons about the property is the rooms was dirty and dusty, and valet is automatic $45 bucks no other options.

Great hotel! Like any downtown property be prepared to valet check your car for an additional $50 per night. The guys are great and will grab your car anytime you need it. Property was clean, well maintained and in a great area.

We were in a time crunch made it to check in around 5 o’clock. Unpacked rested for about 20-30 minutes and went down to the bar/lounge/restaurant and order some food before our baseball game. The food was great. The service was excellent. We ordered some drinks that were phenomenal. The weight staff was amazing and always ready to help check in was so easy. Valet was so easy no bad things to say about this hotel visit. It was our first time staying there and we will be back.

Friendly staff. Some valet attendants were unprofessional. Very noisy all hours of the night. Whole floor smelled like marijuana when we arrived. Some of the negative experiences were circumstantial so the hotel management was very helpful in making accommodations because of the negative experiences.

While I understand that the microwave was on another floor, it wasn't as convenient as having one in the room.

Stayed here before love the hotel, valet (is expensive though lol), the bar and restaurant, staff was nice. You can meet alot of nice new ppl. And it’s walking distance from the galleria mall but I’m not a walker so.. will definitely return when I come back to Houston again

Room looked nice but wasn’t the cleanest. Hair in the sink and brown spots on the comforter. Noisy and had to move rooms but staff was nice enough to make it happen quickly with no complaints and addressed the noise as well.

Everyone was super nice, pleasant, and helpful. I would have loved to see information about when breakfast starts and ends and would have loved to see more extensive options for the buffet. Waitress that served me showed excellent customer service (she's the beautiful tall Mexican waitress). The chef making omelet was awesome and very polite and welcoming conversations. Big smiles, too. The concierge old lady was so nice and pleasant (she looked like she was in her 70s). I would have loved for the motion sensor light for the bathroom to remain on a bit longer. It timed out too early. 30 to 45 minutes should suffice. Also, as with most hotels, there were no exhaust fans for the bathroom (or maybe it wasn't working). No hotels are perfect, but this one deserves 5 star rating. My stay was July 1-2.

I stay at Hyatt Regency often but this was my first at Galleria in HTx and it did not support. Open lobby area with bar and cafe, pool and fitness center. You can order food + drinks by the pool. The room is spacious and upon entering I could smell a slight bleach scent; this is typically a good indicator that the room has been cleaned properly. There were no issues with hair, stains or anything. Housekeeping will greet you in the hallways and they seem to be happy and pleasant. The front desk staff and bartenders are warm and welcoming. Parking is plenty but the parking fees can add up.

The hotel itself was amazing. Check in was amazing Ed was great and walked me through every step of the process for check-in because this was my first time visiting the property. He also accommodated me with a late check out because I was in town for a conference. room and hotel itself was clean and modern. the second day I was there after returning from the conference I sat at the bar and had a quick bite to eat before returning to my room. There were two bartenders the lady seemed to be busy so when the guy arrived, she asked him to take my order. He took my food and drink order, and my food arrived in about 10 minutes after finishing my meal and the drink, neither one of them ever asked if I needed anything Nor did he ask to refill my drink and I had ordered a lemon drop. I sat and waited 15 minutes after eating all of my food and having an empty cup, and neither one said anything to me. This only appeared strange to me because he took another gentleman‘s order who was with his wife and told them if they needed anything to let them know and went and checked on themso after sitting for 15 minutes, I asked for the bill neither 1 told me to have a good day or anything. The only one who addressed me was the manager who was standing off to the side. I’m only including this because I felt a type of way because I was the only African-American female sitting at the bar, and everyone else was Caucasian, including the bartenders. I hope this does not happen again for anyone.

Horrible customer service. Valet people is rude for and expensive, you can park yourself at the same facility and not risk your car with them. Rooms are dirty and take until late in the evening to clean. NOT worth for what they charge

When you walk into the hotel lobby from outside, the smell of cologne is overpowering. At first I thought it was people but then I realized it is some kind of air freshener as it was always there. I immediately started sneezing and my eyes were watering. It envelops you and I continued to smell it in my hair so I took a shower. The hotel does not make it easy for you to stream movies and a maintenance technician had to come to my room to show me how to do it as the instructions in the room were not accurate. The room was clean and tidy.

The room could have used a better deep clean. Especially in the corners and the walls had substances on them. Overall will still come and stay every trip I take to Houston

When we arrived to the hotel we were told that the room we booked was not available anymore. I was told that we would get a room with a king size and rollout bed. This was very upsetting because we were a party of 5 with little kids, who have been traveling all day and was exhausted. After sometime going back and forth and my daughter crying we were giving rooms that were accommodating.

Bed and bedding was very disappointing for a 4 star property. Rest of the hotel was very nice and clean, staff very accommodating and the pool was nice.

No self parking. Valet is forced. Carport wreaks of Marijuana. Wifi is too slow. You will have to upgrade to paid tier for streaming. In room service is extremely slow. They have really low stock on loner microwaves. Add in comments when booking rooms or good luck with that. On +ves, its opposite Galleria, clean and modern looking. I don't think I will be returning to this hotel.

It was a beautiful stay

Stay was good. I did not like my first assigned room and there was no issue to change it. Carpets need to be replaced but beds were comfortable and the staff is very attentive.

Quick 1 night stay, used valet $46, price wasn’t great but the service was. Room was clean and spacious. AC worked amazing. The hotel was nice and we agreed we’d stay again.

Our room was ok. The table was not cleaned it all, you could see the rings from cups/drinks sitting there and it was dusty.

The phone did not have any cord so it was not connected; very inconvenient to try and reach the front desk. Also, there was no iron and when I finally reached the front desk, it took them quite a bit to get an iron up to me.

The amount of money they charge to park your car doesn't add up to the speed of service when getting your car back. Also dont stay here in april ita prom season so you have highs schoolers all over the hotel. Which also caused me a 50 min wait for my car plus 40 min to get back into my hotel when returning

I love to stay at the Hyatt Galleria! Juliette who is the restaurant hostess is very kind and remembered me!

After a long drive, the last thing I want as I'm arriving to check into the hotel is a valet attendant barking and yelling at me. After a brief, tense, energetic exchange he disappeared into the parking garage. Everyone I encountered after that was super nice and pleasant. Hotel was buzzing with with weekend activity. The rest of the stay was flawless. Nice hotel, clean and comfy.

Spacious rooms, very clean and inviting place to stay. The pool was well used by my family. Only negative was a very noisy market with revving vehicles on the Saturday night we were there, obviously beyond control of the Hyatt but nevertheless annoying.

Nice hotel and great location, but the bathroom in my room was dirty… the floors are filthy, the shower walls are dirty and the paint looks dingy. The bathrooms need a major overhaul.

Hotel in excellent location right next to the Galleria. Only option to park is valet , works well but parking is overpriced .

The only bad experience was that after we checked out, they wrongly charged us for a beer that we never drank. We emailed the food and beverage manager, but he never replied to our email. They did refund the amount wrongly charged but they should have emailed us back.

Very nice hotel, great service and very good location

Manager very condescending told me I was basically frugal for booking with expedia and should of found a cheaper the hotel manager told me “if I was going to complain about the double charges and holds on my card that I should of been aware of the authorization charges.” It takes 7 days to get my money back but she didn’t have to belittle me could have just said nothing I can do hotel policy I can’t waive incidental room charges.

Very clean, nice place. My only complaint was the man who walked into our room the day of discharge without knocking or anything. He just entered with his key. That should not have happened

The staff was amazing the room was clean and the water in the lobby is infused with fruits and things of greatness 🤗 I only have a problem with paying for parking everyday after what u pay a night! 🙈 but it was very home feeling far as comfort! This is one of the best Hyatt Regency hotels I have ever stayed at! What makes it great is the staff and management, they all are very customer oriented and do their best to provide a good experience for their guests. The rooms are clean and modern; and the location is great too, shopping and good restaurants around plus you can get to most places in Houston within 15-20 minutes, very convenient! Will be back again.

We came for the NYE on December 31, 2024. The hotel was a great pleasant surprise: easy valet parking, fast check-in, incredible staff, super clean, elegant and beautifully decorated! It is right next to The Galleria mall, 3 minutes walk. It has a great coffee shop in the lobby, as well as a bar. Elevators access with room key for safety. Everything was perfect, my wife and I fully recommend this jewel!

This was our first stay at this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. Very nice property. Our attendant was very helpful. He made our check in very easy and quick. We loved our room. Beds were comfortable, well kept up, clean and very spacious. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Check in was friendly, inviting, fast, and they made us feel welcome and special. The room was spacious and clean and the lobby, bar, and restaurant were lively and very well decorated for the holidays. This is a great part of town to be in for the month of December.

This property offered cleanliness, a spacious room and a very helpful staff. We chose this location due to it being in an area for shopping. There are dining options offered in the hotel and within walking distance around the hotel. I would definitely recommend and will return again for future travel.

Property is a cross from the Galleria mall. The only bad I have is the daily valet parking rate is overpriced and that price do not include tip. The valet parking and self parking are in the same garage. The self parking was alot less (even if you go in and out multiple times) because I can park my own car.
