    On arrival, we were greeted by a wonderful doormen crew. Check in was easy. Simone was super friendly and gave some excellent dining and other recommendations to help us throughout our stay. The hotel has a nice restaurant with menu selections to accommodate most diets. The hotel bar is a great place to watch sports and Jennifer and Josh are both top notch bartenders. Ask about the peanuts! It's conveniently located next to shopping, dining, comedy club. Spacious and clean rooms. Highly recommend.

    This hotel was very nice and close to a lot of things such as shopping and dining. The hotel itself was very welcoming. The staff were very friendly. The rooms could use a little remodeling however they were very nice and spacious. The pool of course was the highlight of the trip because my daughter stayed there. This whole hotel was comfy/classy and I would stay again.

    The front desk staff were excellent. They were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the shower was delightful. The ice machine was out of order on my floor so I had to go to another floor to retrieve some. Also, the room service delivery person forgot my drink and I ended up having to go downstairs stairs to the restaurant area to get it.

    They don't really have a coffee shop much to my dismay. Getting a cup of decaf was a chore and I didn't even want to see what would've happened if I asked for a latte. The service was good and the people were very nice, but you need a coffee shop or stand.

    This is a very nice option while staying in the galleria area of Houston. Pet friendly, and a fine place to conduct business. Plenty of quiet areas where discussions can flow without much interruption. Too cold to enjoy the pool area, but it looked very nice.

    The staff were great and there are no real negatives. The location is good and they have on site parking for about $30 a night. The room had a few small issues that were quickly corrected by the staff. The bathroom had sliding barn type doors so not a lot of privacy if you have people in the room. Nice pool area and I would consider staying here again

    Wonderful location. There were a few items in my room that didn’t work. The ice machine on my floor was broken. The sockets in my room only worked in one area and it made it difficult to do paperwork. The shower head was also malfunctioning.

    I checked in they gave me the wrong room. Then offered complementary breakfast then charged me $75 for a breakfast buffet and I asked the lady at the front desk and she had a attitude about it and i mentioned to her about her saying it was complementary and she said she can give me $15 off and she should have honored what she told me when I checked in

    Room was nice and clean. Floor was quiet. No iron or ironing board. Only a hand held steamer. Only issue was with Valet. Was charged 49.00 after overnight stay but also had a 17.00 parking garage charge from Valet retrieving my car the next morning. Overall it was a good trip.

    The shower water temperature fluctuated A LOT and would become scalding hot for a couple seconds every minute or so. The worst part was that there was a terrible foul sewage-y smell from the sink for the first few seconds when the tap was turned on. Overall, not worth the cost and definitely not a 4 start hotel.

    We had many problems with our room. As Hilton members, we came from several other Hilton hotels traveling through the state over vacation. This was supposed to be the nicest of them all, and it was the grossest. We arrived to a pungent smell of fish in our room, as well as fruit loops cereal along and under the coach. Our shower took upwards of 10 minutes to heat up, and when it did, it was scalding and did not change temperatures quickly either. The receptionist downstairs was incredibly rude upon our arrival; probably upset she had to work New Year’s Eve. When we originally arrived, we had requested a higher floor, and she had told us that was not possible due to the hotels capacity being full. When we made our complaints about the smell and cleanliness, miraculously a higher floored room was then available. No apologies provided. We came with two young kids who were exhausted and just wanted to shower and sleep. There were no blankets provided for them in the closet- so we had to wait for that, as well. All in all: the hotel room was unclean, the water situation was a mess, and there were no blankets in the closet with the pull out mattress. We do not recommend this hotel for any reason, whatsoever. The staff was rude and our experience was poor. Save your money and avoid the “4 star hotel” facade.

    The staff was great! I wish I’d gotten some of their names but one man helped us with our luggage was engaging and so polite! There was a bartender who was really nice too, she made us drinks in the Christmas bar the last day. Another bartender who made me a delicious pitcher. They really outshined the negative. You get what you pay for with this hotel. My husband was basically Bob the builder for our toilet for the few days we were there and our shower would not turn off. There were some other minor things but again, you remember what you paid and you let it be.

    Valet was slow. Seems to only had one guy working. We drank at the bar and they couldn’t make some of the drinks on the menu due to not having the mixers. Took us a few minutes to check in due to front desk person doing another job, but smooth otherwise. It was quiet, clean, lobby was decorated for Christmas and that was nice.

    The rooms here are like small apts and they were very clean and smelled great. Not to mention they are dog friendly which was perfect for our mini poodle. We came for the NFL game and it was close to the stadium. Valet is reasonably priced. Only downside was bartender was a little rude to us but other than that we will definitely be staying here again on our next visit.

    Paid parking for guests is disappointing at $32 for self-parking. For a hotel in this category, you expect basic items like slippers or a dental kit, but none were provided. The AC kept the room cold but was noisy. The windows weren’t soundproof either, and the freeway noise was noticeable throughout the night. On the positive side, the bedding was clean, the mattress and pillows were comfortable, and the in-room espresso machine was a nice touch. Staff at check-in and checkout were friendly and helpful. Good staff and a few nice features, but the overall stay didn’t feel like the 4-star standard they advertise.

    The front desk associate was professional, friendly, & knowledgeable. If I only had to review her, this would be a 5 star review. During check in, the valet entered &stood at the desk. When I was asked for my license plate, the valet spouted off the plate, but we disagreed on the order of the letters. He told the desk clerk to put in the plate number he gave, disregarding me. I confirmed that I would self-park my car. The valet continued to stand there and insert himself in the conversation. He told me he had memorized my license plate, he knows all cars in his lot at all times, he was very good at his job, etc. I was uncomfortable during this exchange. Afterwards, I loaded my wagon with luggage and headed to the 2nd floor room with my daughter. As we entered the elevator, he approached us and told me he needed my car keys. At this point, I had been at the hotel less than 5 minutes. I assured him I would move the car as soon as I placed my bags in the room, and he told me that I was not allowed to without surrendering my keys per company policy. I asked my daughter to go sit in the car until I placed the bags in the room. He followed her & continued to discuss the matter with her, so she left the property due to feeling harassed. I went back to give the front desk my actual license plate, as he had given the wrong one. 3 other guests arrived, parked in front, checked in and took bags to their rooms, and he did not approach them at all. Bathroom was dirty in room.

    Such an amazing hotel! Every room is a suite I believe with a living room couch and a separate bedroom. The only downfall is there’s no microwave to heat up leftovers not even downstairs. Nowhere in the whole entire hotel. But if that’s my only complaint, it’s not that bad.

    A few things stood out during my stay. First, there was no door sweep or stopper under my room door, which made me feel the need to stuff towels there for privacy. After checking in and later browsing reviews, I noticed that several guests had mentioned jammed bathroom doors, which I also experienced. So if privacy is important, I’d recommend requesting a room with a fully functioning door. Lastly, my interaction with the bellhop was questionable with my experience in traveling. I accepted help with my luggage upon arrival and explained that I didn’t have cash on hand but would tip before I checked out. He then suggested I could send the tip via Cash App or Venmo while in my room, which I found unusual for a hotel of this level. I felt a bit pressured and ended up paying digitally, after which he gave me his personal business card and told me to contact him directly for any other help. Overall, the experience left me uneasy and not quite up to the standard I’ve come to expect from Autograph Collection hotels.

    My only complaint was the bed. I was going to complain about the bed being hard but once my husband came to bed he said it was hard I knew it wasn’t me and went to sleep on the couch. Everything else was good just not a good night of rest

    Great visit. The only thing was the elevators were broken in the parking garage. So you had to carry you luggage if you selfed parked. Luckily we did not have much , only stayed one night. But if the front desk would have told us we probably would have paid $10 more for valet. Also the ice Machine on our flood was broken but we had an ice chest so did not have to make to many trips. Staff was friendly, pool was nice, room was clean and big. We enjoyed our stay overall and would stay there again.

    This place is very nice, BUT the prices for breakfast, it’s CRAZY. We ended up getting the buffet breakfast just to find out we paid $80 for 2 people we both had coffee, 2 pancakes, some eggs (scramble) and bacon and sausage. THAT WAS ALL! we could’ve gone to IHOP and paid so much less. And the pancakes were hard, plus they charged us a service fee… like what was that for?? Also parking… they charge you per day. Had no other choice because there isn’t any other place to park. I can say the valet customer service were the BEST. If I would to stay here again I will NEVER get breakfast there.

    This hotel was so cute and comfortable, it was super clean has a lot to offer from breakfast to dinner, the on site bar has happy hour until 12am with $10 drinks and food. Very classy and plenty of mirrors everywhere for your photos haha I will def be back to Houston and I’m going stay here again the service has been the best by far that I’ve had in a while.

    The room size and layout is wonderful. Love the separate living room and TV, dining table, mini fridge, and very nice espresso machine and pods. Did not care for the fairly loud highway noise, hard and uncomfortable bed, scratchy sheets and towels. It seems to be an older building which has been remodeled with a nice contemporary look, but not so exacting standards in terms of craftsmanship. The bar is very nice. The pool is on the small side and lacked any landscaping. Everyone was very friendly and professional, and provided very nice service.

    This is my second stay at the hotell this year---the last time I had a few issues with self parking related to the gate not lifting when I wanted to exit the parking garage --this time I had zero issues. So the first time most likely was just an unfortunate one time issue.

    The front desk attendant informed me there was no microwave available, and the pillows provided caused skin irritation—something I have never experienced at other hotels. While the property itself is beautiful, it was somewhat difficult to locate, even for Houston locals. Unfortunately, the level of service did not reflect the high cost of the stay, and I believe better service could be found at a lower rate nearby.     I enjoyed my stay at the Chifley Houston. It was conveniently located to every activity my friend and I participated in, which was within 10 minutes. The maximum was about 20 minutes with traffic. Thereare plenty of food options, and conveniences. It was walkable for quick trips. Available transportation for lyfts/ubers didn't take long. The property has a bar/restaurant that is good. Happy hour is available on the weekends as well. The hotel staff was courteous and always spoke; even gave recommendations for our visit. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Houston.

    The hotel is in a great area, you can walk to galleria very easily. Staff was great! The only thing is that they didn’t clean our room and also that the room is kind of damaged, dirty walls, loose restroom but other than that it was okay. Another good thing is that our room was huge, it had like two rooms 😃

    Everything was great. We swam. We ordered dinner. Valet was great. My only complaint is that the phone did not work to call down stairs so I had to walk down to ask for bedding for the sofa bed. And hours later I still had not received the bedding. The lady downstairs told me that I gave her the wrong room number even though I knew I did not.

    Very poor check in experience. I had prepaid for my 2 night stay and my brother and his family was also staying there and checked in hours before I did. The desk clerk insisted that I had not prepaid and wanted to charge me over $900 on my card. I told her that they had probably given my brother my room by mistake. The desk never acknowledged that and said that my brother had given them my name. What a joke. Very insulting and unprofessional. They never apologized for their mistake and never even acknowledged that a mistake had been made

    The property and management was not accommodating. I needed to cancel due to a family emergency and wouldn’t accommodate waiving the cancellation fee.     The Bad: 😒…When you first walk in you take in a strong stench of what smells like gas. The strongest area for this is near the elevators but you can smell it other areas in the lobby. Staff is a large problem for me. When arriving I had questions about my reservation and the woman running the front desk was very short and not forthcoming with answers. I had to ask several follow up questions to get clarification for what I needed. The following day not only was our toilet clogged, but our room phone wouldn’t work. The toilet was fixed quickly but no one ever came to check out the phone. We had to call the front desk using our personal phones if we needed assistance. The other issue with staff I had was about parking. When I explained that my car was no longer registered as requested the woman at the desk (different one from the first day) was very rude. She only asked for my room number and email address then walked off. No communication about what we will do to fix the issue. When she returned she totally ignored me and proceeded to help 3 new customers who had since walked up. I finally had to interrupt and ask her what next steps were. Overall my stay was mid. I was disappointed.
