Fitger's Inn

Walking into the lobby it was very different, loved the charm. Entering the room it was impressive with high ceilings and color scheme made it look clean. As I looked around, there was dog hair on the couch, on pillows, on bed , and bed base. I was surprised that when I booked I wasn’t aware that dogs were allowed in building or if there was an option to get an animal free room. I was sneezing when in room, due to pet allergies. When going to bed I check bed for beg bugs, there was a bed bug cover on mattress which I appreciated but I could clearly see that one bed in room did have bed bugs in the past, as I could see many many blood spots that were on mattress inside the bed bug cover. It is an unique place to stay but this was my experience.

If you're interested in history, this place has it! We had a room that allowed us a view of Lake Superior, which was beautiful! Our room was clean, and we had everything we needed for our two night stay :-)

Loved the shuttle service, the service with our luggage, everyone helpful and friendly, great view and breakfast bar, quiet, clean. Only great things to say about it. Patking was secure and easy to get to.

Fitger’s is a historic and beautiful place and the furniture in the rooms gives you the feeling you have stepped back in time. The bathroom is wonderful. Will definitely visit again.

We have stayed here more than a few times. Always been excellent, but this time the refrigerator in the TV stand was making a horrible noise most of the night. It was very hard to sleep.

An incredible venue that is well maintained, has an old school feel and has gorgeous views.

Everything was inside the building with shops, three restaurants, and brewery. Fitger's is right on the lake shore which is great and you can walk to Canak Park.

We got married here and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was very accommodating and it was the perfect match for our vintage art deco vibe. We will be back!

Lovely hotel with old school charm. Rooms are decorated beautifully. Great location to uptown and lake walk. Lots of shopping and dining in the Fitger building. You really have everything you need right there. Definitely going back.

I REALLY liked my 4 night stay at the Fitger Inn in Duluth. Fitger Inn is in a well-maintained 150 year old Brewery building, so it is an interesting, historical Inn. Rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom amenities are wonderful Aveda Rosemary and Mint soaps. The Inn offers free breakfast bars, coffee, and fresh fruit in the parlor every morning. The Inn also has several restaurants, a brewery, and a craft ice cream store. Best of all, the Fitger Inn is situated right on the shores of Lake Superior and adjacent to Duluth’s 7 mile Lake Walking Trail. The Inn is also right in center of Duluth, so one can easily get to restaurants, the Aquarium, the Lake Superior Harbor Cruise, and interesting stores. Fitger Inn also has a curtesy van to take you to and from the airport and to points around Duluth’s. Everything about this historic Inn results in great service, great location, and a wonderful stay.
