Clean room, comfortable bed, easy check-in and check-out, very nice accommodations, and a unique space which was so nice. I would definitely stay again.

The room was charming and welcoming and beautifully appointed. The location was fabulous with the ability to go for long walks along the lakefront a few steps away. I didn’t receive check-in instructions and had to call for those when I arrived but the staff were super helpful and even got my room ready early as the weather was dreadful and I had my dog with me. It was a lovely place to stay!

parking was fantastic. Room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was big. #5 is on the second floor. Nice view of the lift bridge and a nice view of Lake Superior from the small balcony. We did take a sauna.

This space was perfect- Near a beach, large outdoor area, unique decor and layout - and very clean. We had everything we needed - convenient for walking around Canal Park. A great value too!

We loved having a room we could enter without a long hallway. We liked not having a key and liked having a reserved spot to park. The room was clean and ready for us upon our arrival. We would have preferred towels without a scent but they were fine.

Very cute historical property, comfortable, and in a prime walkable area with assigned parking. My only issue was the blinds would not allow for much darkness in the room, making it a little tough to sleep in the early morning. Overall a great experience, however.

Fantastic and unique place to stay. A very good value for the location. Being dog friendly was a major bonus too.

Right in the heart of the tourist area of Duluth and a stone’s throw from Lake Superior. Easy to hop on the North Shore scenic drive and a cozy spot to come back to! Beds are a 10 out of 10 Location is a 10 out of 10 Vibes are 10 out of 10

Delightful location. Biggest downside was that no on-site staff made it difficult to address small yet important details of the stay like replacing an inoperable coffee maker. We liked it a great deal otherwise and would stay again.

Clean room and centrally located

There is a very nice 'heirloom' vibe to this location - the rooms are built into a historic building and are comfortable and nicely appointed. The grounds are well maintained and while we didn't have time to use it, there is a sauna on site which is a very cool amenity if you have time to try it out. The staff were also responsive through email, text and phone call - although everything is handled remotely so we didnt actually meet anyone in person. The location is close walking distance to the restaurants and bars in Canal Park -this is generally a plus. However, it does sit at the extreme end of the Canal Park area and up against the highway overpass. We had some issues with homeless people hanging around and making noise at night.

Such a great stay. First 20 minutes we were there we decided we will definitely be staying again, and that opinion remained the whole time. Great views, great location, quiet, and staff was exceptional. Sauna is a huge bonus!

Very neat old train station right on the lake walk. Parking was close and convenient. We had room 5, the entire upper floor. It was decorated nicely and if it were warmer we’d have enjoyed the private balcony with views of the lake and downtown. The bed was soft and we found it to be uncomfortable but that’s personal preference. Owners were fairly quick to respond over messaging in Expedia to resolve an issue. We are happy we stayed here. Great location for lake access and canal park tourism.

Great place and super great location!

The location was excellent. There are a lot of food places and sights to see within walking distance of the Inn. The historic significance of the Inn was also very cool to us. We did like the full electronic communication for the Inn, and not having a front desk. (Strange - but actually nice) The room was clean and free of strange smells, which is always appreciative. It was very nice to have a large shower. There are also a lot of mom-pop places near the Inn that are nice to visit as well. The only small issue we had was with the lock to the room. To begin, we thought that the key to the room was in the outside lock boxes as another group was also looking at the boxes for their room key. It took reading the instructions a second time to understand how the lock worked. I guess maybe stating that the locks were fully electronic for the rooms and then how to use them would be best. We also did not know that the locks didn't auto lock when you left the room and that you had to press a button to engage the lock (found out by accident it didn't do this). There is no fan in the bathroom to get rid of humidity from showers, which although not necessary, they are nice (other things too). Other than these small details, our stay was excellent.

We reserved Room 5, which was advertised for 4 people. But the room was only equipped with sleeping for 3, and one of the two beds was a single person sofa bed, that was so uncomfortable it was impossible to sleep on. Two people slept comfortably, but the other two were out of luck.

The room was cozy and the bed comfortable. Close to everything in Canal Park and the lake walk is great to explore finding sea glass. Staff are very accommodating. We were very excited that they accept pets. Would stay AGAIN.
