    One thing I want to mention is that there was a discrepancy with the valet pricing. Hotels.com listed valet at $59, but the actual charge was $74.69. When we asked the front desk about it, they explained that the third-party website had incorrect information and that it was up to Hotels.com to update the pricing. Not a huge issue, but I'd want to know. The room was nice, although not overly spacious. Room service was quick, food was good. My son said the burger was 5 stars. While I wouldn’t say the food was anything extraordinary, I really appreciated room service was available throughout the night. That’s a huge plus since many hotels stop room service early. Drinks from the bar were excellent. The valet team was exceptional. Even when it was extremely busy, our car was always ready by the time we made it down. The only downside for our family was the pool area. It felt more like an adult social hangout than a family-friendly pool (wristbands were mandatory). While my kids were swimming, another guest in the pool became visibly annoyed when a bit of water splashed her (she was literally in the pool).. I mean when you're swimming, it happens. It was a nice stay.. we'll come back. I do recommend.

    I have attended a conference here for the past 4 years in a row. This time I was in the first room right outside the elevators. I was worried it would be noisy, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s always been a great experience at the JW Marriott. Also, it’s a short walk to several restaurants.

    We always stay at the JW Marriott went in Austin. The staff is really helpful and the rooms are nice and clean. They have a wonderful bar -two bars downstairs and easy access to the downtown area to walk to restaurants..

    Houskeeping knocked on the door each morning at 8 am. Seems a bit early to be requesting to clean the room. The morning of checkout, after housekeeping knocked, another employee knocked and asked when we were leaving. It was 9:00 am and checkout was 11:00. Seemed a bit rushed to get us out.

    Food at the bar was average. Staff was fantastic. The room never cooled off, but by the time we made it and it was too late to do anything about it. The common areas to enjoy were extremely nice, but I don’t know that I would go back to this location for the cost. The one in San Antonio I enjoyed much more.

    We had a wonderful time overall. Place looks amazing, the bar by the lobby looks amazing. The only thing is the guy bartender from pool wasnt really accomodating and friendly. Was asking multitple times if he can kindly change the tv channel to watch the other tv with sports and he keep saying yes but he never did.

    This is a lovely, well maintained hotel. Rooms were very clean. Shower was nice. Bed was comfortable. I requested a feather free room in advance and got it, no problem. Staff was all very nice and helpful. We had a lightbulb out in our room, one day, and maintenance replaced it within a couple of hours. Toiletries were nice, pleasantly scented without being overpowering. Good hairdryer. Excellent, convenient location for so many things that you will want to do in Austin.Had an issue with our folio at the end of our stay and called and spoke with a manager after returning home. Problem was fixed within 24 hours. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

    Room was spacious and well decorated. Loved the little ledge in the shower to put soaps and my foot while shaving. It felt like a female designed it! Breakfast options are limited on property but great choices for an appetizer and drink. Only bad part was there was a conference of folks in finance. Vibe was intense while they were there (they were everywhere all over the property!) but subsided into calm once they left. Pool was beautiful but service at the bar was slow. Book a reservation in advance to sit at “the Edge.” Spa was amazing! Special shout out to Kashayla and Ileanna for making my time in the spa extra special. Would definitely stay here again.

    Front desk staff was responsive and professional. We got kicked out of the Edge rooftop lounge. We were given 3 minutes notice to leave because we were approaching the 2 hour time limit that we not not aware of. When we left there was still plenty of seating available. It was a weird interaction if the staff. The noise from the elevators was unacceptable. I was a half way down the adjacent hallway and the noise kept me up at night. The front desk staff helped me with a room change. The hotel was under construction so the first floor amenities were not available. The in and out access from the parking garage did not work.

    One of the best hotels in Austin - centrally located, gorgeous, lots of amenities and amazing restaurants. The staff is so attentive and the rooms are amazing. It is always a joy to stay here when we visit Austin! The pool is a perfect escape during the day with poolside cocktails and great views of downtown Austin. The restaurants are perfect for a brunch with friends, watch the big game, or grab a quick bite before checking out the city. Its our favorite place to stay for Austin City Limits, SXSW or just a quick Austin getaway. Parking is expensive for what it is and is charged separately from the hotel - which can be annoying. But overall no notes - great property and the staff are amazing.

    Room was so nice and cozy! The bed I could sleep in forever and don’t get the started on the shower. I could have showered for hours! That shower head was sooo good! Also being a gold member, we automatically get a 2p checkout and a tall drip coffee from Starbucks (on the 2nd floor) ! Everyone needs to stay here just once and you’ll be coming back !     Booking.com let us down: Our booking.com reservation was nowhere to be found in the Marriott system. Hence, there was nothing to cancel--and yet we were hit with a hefty cancellation fee (all of this under the aegis of booking.com); Marriott was honorable enough to nullify that fee. We had to start all over, directly through Marriott--and were lucky enough to get one of the last rooms available, at almost double the rate which we had obtained on booking.com. We salvaged our stay--which was excellent. A very nice hotel by every measure. We will no longer be using booking.com.

    We never saw the pool and forgot there was one. When we checked in they told us the type of room we had reserved wasn’t available. They gave us a lounge pass to make up for it, but the VIP lounge was never open for service when we would have liked it to be, and we were there with friends who didn’t have the same access. Other than that the hotel was wonderful, clean, inviting and convenient, if maybe a little pricy even for downtown Austin. Towels and beds were luxurious.

However, the only downside was that multiple charges were held on my card for seven days, and the final charge was applied on the last day. It temporarily doubled the amount on my card. I understand it’s just a retained fee, but for travelers with a set budget, this could really affect your trip.

    There were clothes left and it made me feel the room was unclean. When I took them down to check-in desk they chuckled. The shower didn’t drain. The phone charger next to bed didn’t work and my phone was dead the next day - my birthday. When I arrived the parking was difficult to enter due to large rids in front. When I left the gate did not operate and no help arrived. I an a disabled vet and had to go into the hotel for help. I paid the full price and it ended up being a sad 70 birthday!! No one called about my complaint for my aug 15,16 th stay.

    Great people, Great location - under construction so that was a bit of a turn off... also the elevators could be heard from rooms within a few doors away, so be sure to get a room down the hall a bit ;)

    Nice facility with extremely nice and professional staff. The only issue I had was the shower water pressure was very low. For this size hotel also, the pool was pretty small and jammed.

    Everything was really good at this hotel the only reason I put a low star is because the night before I had to leave I asked the front desk to make sure my room key that works as a parking pass as well works because I had an early flight the person said we are all set. The morning comes for me to leave and I'm stuck at the gate for almost 35 mins trying to leave and almost had me miss my flight

    This hotel is an absolute must when you are in Austin. Staff is incredible, pool is amazing , deans steakhouse has the best gun barrel filet that I have ever tasted in my life ! Do not look anywhere else

    Great stay for July 4th weekend! Check in was pleasant, love the location, walking distance to 6th street, Starbucks, steakhouse, cafe, rooftop bar, lounge, pool… this hotel has it all for a great family vacation!

    However: 1. There is no breakfast option ("The Corner" restaurant serves only brunch/lunch/dinner menu. 2. It is impossible to get reservations at the rooftop bar The Edge. 3. The reception lobby is undergoing renovation for a redesigned lobby bar. 4. There is a mandatory $25 resort fee per day which is not mentioned when you make the room reservation. Overall good experience. 4 out of 5 stars.

    The hotel is gorgeous and clean and there is plenty of extremely courteous and helpful staff to assist you of needed. The weather was horrible at times during our stay, so it was awesome having two restaurants in the hotel.

    Rooms, same rooms that standard Marriott hotels. Food, they said that the breakfast is up to 10 am but in they start to pick up everything at 8.50 am. Valet parking, my car was returned with a fish odor that made me almost travel back home with the windows down.

    Holly at the front desk gave us the best first impression we needed. Very friendly and informative. Our stay was great. I would stay here again although the $66/night for parking is a little extreme for the amount we pay per night. The valet workers have amazing customer service, so I’m sure customers will tip no matter what!

    Overall, a good stay. I had called to asked if the hotel had distilled water for my husband’s CPAP machine. They said they did. However, when we arrived, they did not have it. That’s frustrating. Also, how does an international hotel that is suppose to be prestigious 1) not have it 2) not be able to properly communicate that? Finally, be prepared to pay $50-$70 to park.
