The location was good, the surrounding area was beautiful It was the worst value out of any Four Seasons Ive ever stayed at. The room was mediocre, the view was crossed by high powered electric cables in your face, the service at the breakfast was deplorable, not even a chair to sit on the terrace.

Fantastic overnight to celebrate our anniversary. Upgrade, champagne and help with difficult to get dinner reservations. Can’t say enough good things! Great location!
- 5/5
The hotel itself was gorgeous and the staff was extra friendly and helpful. The lake view rooms were nice with cozy beds. The welcome fruit and chocolates were a sweet little welcome gift. The amenities were great and had a big 24 hour gym. room service had a pretty big selection and onsite restaurant was excellent especially if you wanted to dress up but not leave the property. The lobby bar was packed and loud which was fun to mingle. I’m surprised there was no walk way or stairs down to the riverfront from the hotel. You had to walk around 2 blocks to the public stairway or cut through the gym and walk on the grass down the hill, which for us, it stormed bad and we were stuck trying to walk up the grass trying not to slip lol.

Great hotel

The location on the river is terrific and provides easy access to trails along the river and to downtown Austin. The staff is well trained , polite and helpful. Prices of rooms, food and parking seem high in relation to other first rate hotels in Austin.

Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and very attentive. Our room was clean and cleaning service was great.
- 4.5/5
Our room was a premier king with lake view it was great plenty of room with a small sofa and table chair View was stunning, room service excellent and maid service exceptional with turn down service. Staff all amazing and went above and beyond. Spa could definitely be better. Separate steam rooms in locker room. not great for couple trips. Pool not in use over Christmas as I’ve rink over it. No indoor pool Or jacuzzi. The relaxation room was nice, small but I expected more from a 5 star hotel.

This a beautiful quiet but at the same time lively hotel. Service is excellent and location, the best for visiting Austin Downton and a nice jog around the Lady Bird Lake.

The hotel is in a perfect location to shopping, eating, and the River. Has an excellent trail on the River for walking, running, or riding bikes. Definitely would recommend this hotel. The service and staff were wonderful.

Amazing service by all staff. Friendly without being too formal. Many amenities. Still the “ gold standard” in Austin.

Customer service is unparalleled at the Four Seasons. They will go well beyond what is expected to fulfill your needs. Everything is costly at the Four Seasons, but service like that doesn't come cheap. The TVs in the rooms are outdated, I feel, and could use a modern replacement.

I have stayed at this property on at least three prior occasions. The location is about as perfect as you can get and convenient to downtown offices, dining, entertainment and the lake. The staff and service is superior. Food is great. The lobby bar overlooking the lake is spectacular. While the rooms were very clean and updated, the bathrooms were a bit small. It is unlikely that I would stay anywhere else in Austin.
- 5/5
Our anniversary was an amazing experience. We got massages at the spa and enjoyed an excellent meal at Circo.
- 5/5
Our entire stay was excellent as always! We always cherish our time when staying at a Four Seasons.
- 5/5
location on the river
- 4/5
Dinner at Ciclo was surprisingly mediocre to bad. Our waiter was excellent, but the meal was very disappointing. My ”hickory-smoked” ribeye steak was not well trimmed leaving far too much fat that was not apparent when served. My wife’s short-rib ravioli was also rather “fatty”.
- 5/5
Lovely visit. Hotel service was fantastic and food was delicious!
- 5/5
Another great stay. Dinner at Ciclo was especially good.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and so accommodating. The hotel was located close to so many interesting restaurants and activities.
- 5/5
Hotel is recently updated. Rooms are smaller but well organized. Lovely view of Lake Austin
- 5/5
Great Staff. Knowledgeable and friendly. Front desk staff excellent. Joey was great to deal with at the front desk. He made my stay special!!
- 4/5
From the moment I arrived the staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant served me a tasty steak for my Saturday evening meal. The spa was relaxing and my therapist Liz did a fantastic job. My only complaints are that the bed could be more comfortable and the shower in my room was just average. Overall would definitely recommend.
- 4/5
You could notice the lack of employees. However, those who work are doing an excellent job (Valet Staff, Restaurant Staff). The front desk staff is not very friendly. Four Season Hotels are renowned for their balance of service and product quality; Austin Four Season needs improvement. There is no turndown service, and it does not ensure fresh towels in the bathroom. Overall is good but not excellent as it should be for the Brand.

Beautiful property in the river and the service was great and friendly

The staff at this hotel (valet, doorman, desk staff and food service) were superb.
- 5/5
Great views of lady bird lake in downtown austin.
- 5/5
Super clean and newly remodeled. It was the break we needed.
- 5/5
The four seasons Austin property is a gem the rooms are super clean. A friendly happy staff, great bathrooms Comfy beds and beautiful grounds
- 2/5
Bad, overpriced, not at all a five star hotel, old-poorly renovated room, holiday lnn looking bathroom (small, terrible shower) room service really limited after 10 pm. Unprofesional staff, bathrobes were full of hair, definitely last time we will ever stay in this hotel.
- 2/5
Victor - I have been struggling with whether I should email you because there was nothing wrong with my stay with you all. However, I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t let you know that my stay yesterday and this morning was not what I have grown to love and unfortunately expect when I stay with you all. I’d be happy to discuss speak with you on once I land in an hour and a half or tomorrow. If not, no worries. As someone who uses the phrase the Four Season treatment when speaking about the top in class customer experience, I felt I had to at least let you know.
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel with a great spa and gym and it's close to everything downtown.
- 5/5
The staff went above and beyond to make our weekend getaway perfect. Overall great place.
- 4/5
The vents in the room were dusty and moldy. Generally speaking, did not feel like a Four Seasons.
- 5/5
They were very kind and accommodating. We brought our two small dog babies and when we left for dinner, one of them was crying and they took them down into the manager’s office to love until we returned home. Everything you would expect from the Four Seasons.
- 4/5
too close to elevator
- 5/5
It was excellent - wonderful venue
- 5/5
Looks a lot better after the renovation! The rooms, the gym and especially the lobby and bar.
- 4/5
Stayed here during SXSW - a calm and pleasant retreat away from the crowds. Spacious and clean room, staff were professional and I had a very good stay. Dining at the hotel/room service was great, however a drawback is there are less options than at other Four Seasons I've been used to: Only one restaurant and a lounge. I did not get to use the pool/other facilities but the park around the hotel is lovely and you get an amazing view of the river if you stay on that side of the hotel. Overall very pleased. I'd stay here again at the right price.
- 5/5
Loved every minute of my stay from pulling up to the valet and checking to check out. Service was excellent, room service great
- 5/5
PROS: It's a perfect location for accessing everything downtown on foot - and a short drive from anywhere in town. We both had great massages at the spa, and used the steam room too which was great. Great gym & well-stocked locker room! Employees provided really great service throughout our stay, including specialized pillows and bedding for the super cozy bed. CONS: Aside from being prepared to spend top dollar there are only minor "cons" to report. We wished there had been a hot tub, and the spa area was kind of small and too connected to the gym (I like having more space to hang out and relax). Also, we slept in until 9-9:30 on the weekend and almost missed the coffee set up every morning. Not sure why a place like this wouldn't have coffee and water set up for guests 24/7?
- 5/5
Exceptional staff and facilities!!! Love the remodel!!!
- 5/5
Enjoyed my stay to the Four Seasons Austin. Excellent location on the river and close to all downtown attractions. Great food, as is customary for FS properties. I stayed in a river view suite, which I would highly recommend, as it is very spacious and comfortable. If you get a river view room, there is a big power line that will be in your view for all floors up to (I would say) floor 7. You will not regret staying here.
- 5/5
We love ❤️ the Four Seasons service and the fine property
- 5/5
The people make a big difference at a typical Four Seasons but especially so in Austin - great group of employees - the hotel is in renovation mode and they went above and beyond to make us as happy and comfortable as possible. Will return!
- 5/5
Hotel was quiet and upscale. We stayed overnight prior to an early medical appointment based upon its proximity to our destination.
- 5/5
The hotel was under going renovations but they did a great job making it feel as though nothing was taking place. Loved it great staff we will be back!!
- 4/5
Great hotel but under construction during our visit. Service was exceptional! The margarita cart amazing. Would be nice to have an adult only pool. Too many kids splash and playing Marco Polo.
- 5/5
Hotel is excellent!
- 1/5
Not worth the price at all. We stayed for our anniversary and hotel cleanliness and level was not worg the ratings.
- 5/5
Love this location. Would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Charged high end hotel price (~1000/night) for a terrible view of a parking lot and a room where the AC had an odd, almost stuffy smell to it. Was granted late check out with my booking then had house keeping and later front desk staff coming by and calling room to “see if I needed any help [getting out of room]” essentially.
- 5/5
We had an amazing weekend at this hotel! I travel for work internationally and can say easily the service and comfort of this Four Seasons was world class. It was right on the lake, within walking distance to great spots on the water, the new library, and the cafes and restaurants on Congress. Although it was always tough to leave the hotel's comfort- but always easy to come back! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
This is a good hotel.
- 5/5
Excellent service, extremely comfortable room, great food at TRIO, wonderful spa.
- 5/5
The whole hotel was amazing Everything was clean and nice. The staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
From the seamless smiling check in, to the view of the lake and the beautiful room and grounds...this is THE place to stay in Austin! When we told the concierge we were going to the University for a tour we received a chocolate plate in the shape of Texas with a “Go Longhorns!” Written across the stop. Special touches and first class experience. This will be our new home away from home when we visit our son!
- 5/5
Everything was top notch. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view. The fitness center was exemplary, with complementary water and towels.
- 4/5
Other than that, the front desk was cheerfully hospitable. I thought the renovations were tastefully done... except the ballrooms. I know it was a split decision to keep or get rid of the elegant chandeliers, but it was a huge selling point for us to have our wedding celebrations there, and I am deeply saddened it was replaced by some modern monstrosity.
- 5/5
Room was nice. Staff helpful. Location convenient. Near nice walking trails.
- 5/5
Great place even better location. Was walking distance from all that I needed
- 5/5
Great location, rooms are comfortable with views of the river, bar and restaurant were hopping for acl weekend and football games. Pool is nice but not up to four seasons rigorous aesthetic standards. Bonus: lake austin running trail and bat bridge are steps from the hotel. Try the blt + egg for a decadent brunch!
- 5/5
This was the first time we traveled to Austin and stayed at the four seasons hotel. The hotel is under construction but we hardly heard any noise and were told about it in advance. Our room was already renovated and was very nice. The only downside was no gift shop. However, this may be added with their ongoing renovations according to staff. Overall really good experience!
- 5/5
Great location. Great staff very friendly Fabulous view from our room. Convenient location. We ride Vonlane Luxury Bus from so very close to Hyatt where the bus trip ends.
- 4/5
staff was very friendly. the bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff is gracious and accommodating. I highly recommend the location and is walking distance to EVERYTHING!
- 5/5
Great service easy access to downtown xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- 5/5
Everything you would expect from a four seasons. The back patio / yard / restaurant on the lake was perfect. Other than a billing issue at checkout that was quickly resolved, it was a great short stay.
- 3/5
I was not all that impressed with this Four Seasons. The location was fantastic. The general facilities, such as the lobby and grounds were great. However, I did have some major issues. First and foremost, the spa was undergoing a renovation, and I do not recall any notification regarding the closure. While they had temporary treatment rooms, my wife was unable to use the general spa facilities, which she really enjoys. Next, there was some level of spa construction/renovation noise during the day, which was very annoying. Rooms were not the size I am used to at a Four Seasons (no separate toilet area, or even a tub). Service was very spotty in the lobby bar. And, finally, our room was never serviced by housekeeping on one our our days of the stay, despite hanging the "please service room" door hanger on the door for most of the day while we were out and about. In short, I just expect better from a Four Seasons.
- 5/5
Was able to check in at noon instead of 3 pm, lake view room with balcony, watch the bats at night leave Congress bridge and the scullers in the early morning while the lake is quiet, what's not to love about this hotel?
- 4/5
The only reason we booked this hotel was because it was an Expedia VIP hotel. When we checked in there was a very loud party going on in the lobby bar and we could not hear the front desk clerk. We were put in a second floor accessible room facing the driveway. I went down to see about being moved to a higher floor and we ended up being moved to the 7th floor, facing the river. The room was nice, and the views were great. We've stayed at several Four Seasons in the past and I don't feel like the service was on par with the nightly rate.
- 5/5
Easy walking to downtown and Rainey street and the lake. Great coffee and breakfast
- 4/5
Great location and staff. Dated rooms. Needs major renovaion.
- 5/5
Best service , just incredible
- 5/5
Our stay was great, as usual, at this hotel. The staff and service standards are impeccable, and we can't wait to come back. I travel to Austin several times each year on business, and we tend to stay here most of the time. They think of everything before we need it.
- 4/5
the staff was very friendly. i got a great room over looking the lake.
- 3/5
Nice overall, hotel needs remodeling / work. A little tired looking, which was also confirmed by a recent 4 Seasons guest who stayed not too long ago whom I know personally, and had the same impression. Staff was great, except with one experience when I went outside one evening and asked for a cocktail and had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come outside (after I went in twice to ask for someone), and it wasn't busy, either.
- 5/5
it is a gorgeous view of the lake. the customer service was excellent. the staff was very very friendly.
- 5/5
We return to Austin after 10 years and It was excelente the staying at the Four Seasons!!! My kids loved it and the overall service was very good!
- 5/5
The room was fantastic! Comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I actually became ill during my stay and the staff jumped through hoops to help out. They brought complimentary tea and called in a dr. Whom responded within 20 min. It's the extra special touches that really matter. Thank you'
- 4/5
Recs: improve the bar menu Pls , meatballs were hard and tasteless , everything else great.
- 5/5
Great service. I had booked a suite and was put into a smallish room. The problem may have been a miscommunication with the reservation site. I expected them to say, "not our fault, enjoy your stay." Instead, they found a suitable suite, moved my stuff and brought me a complimentary cocktail for my trouble. I was pleased and impressed.
- 5/5
Visiting our daughter and enjoyed every minute! Texas football and a beautiful waterfront view at the hotel! Priceless!!
- 5/5
This hotel is right on the lake in downtown Austin. There is a beautiful trail for walking, jogging or biking that runs for miles! Work out room is really small but doesn't matter as much with the path right there
- 5/5
My husband and I went for a long weekend getaway. It is a wonderful hotel, and an even better location. Only thing better would have been to have a room with a balcony.
- 3/5
At over $500 a night you REALLY expect more. Couldn't get coffee in the morning unless you ordered through room service at a ridiculous price. Room was small and balcony overlooked a parking lot and other hotels.
- 5/5
Literally EVERY employee of the hotel greeted us with a smile and offered assistance if we needed it. The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The restaurant, bar and lounge also proved to be enjoyable and a delight in every way. The attention to detail was impressive from servers calling us by name upon approaching our table to specified mattress and pillow type according to your preference.
- 5/5
Helpful pleasant staff, rooms & facilities one would expect from the Four Seasons.
