When I checked in, I provided my ID and the front desk asked if I was from around here. I said yes. They responded that it was hotel policy to not rent to locals. We were not able to stay at the hotel. We stayed at this exact hotel one month prior, with the same local address, so don't know why the policy was not followed last stay. I was not provided the "no locals" policy on their website, or from any email communication before we arrived.

Stay was great however check in was difficult. Was told they couldn't find our reservation because the booking didn't match what my husband's driver license said. The reservation had the English version of his name but license had Spanish and we were told by the Ivan we'd have to change it. When we commented we've never had an issue before he stated that they were strict at their establishment and had the awards to prove it. I'm sorry but he has no right to make any of those comments. Evening staff was so much nicer and easy going.

Great stay at Atwell. The only thing is that the hotel needs a covered area for loading and unloading. It was raining and we had to wait 2 hours to unload. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

The facility was very accommodating, we got in very late each night and the man at the front desk was excellent at offering accommodations to make our stay more comfortable. Breakfast could have had more variety such as a waffle station or similar. But not a big deal for our group.

We had never stayed at this property and I’m so glad we did!! We are a family of four and the room was spacious, two queens and a pullout sofa. It was definitely beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. There was a small breakfast buffet with enough options for the family. We will definitely be staying again.

It looked new. The staff was courteous and helpful. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. One thing that always tells me a lot is how well the shower and sink drains. Do they backup and you end up standing soapy water. These DID NOT and is always a positive reflection on how well everything is. The TV was easy and simple to operate. Too often I’ve found at other places I’ve stayed you need a programmers degree to make them work. My only suggestion would be the fitness are while the equipment was top level they were out of disinfectant whipes and the room was a little cool for my taste. The next time I’m in Austin I will stay at Atwell again.

We enjoyed our weekend stay here! I love the 24 hour water/coffee bar and the breakfast was very good. We will definitely stay at Atwell again.

3rd stay at this hotel and it’s always a great experience. Clean spacious rooms and breakfast included plus noon check out. Perfect for traveling with kids.

I did like the fact that they provided the wifi password and a pool, workout room and breakfast. My family and I all enjoyed the fact that we were able to indulge if we wanted to! I wasn't fond of the fact that there was only one key card, I was very anxious about losing it. I can absolutely understand why there is a fine if someone was to smoke inside of a room but 250$ to me is extreme. My mom is an avid smoker and it was an absolute no go regardless of how much it was but the 250$ definitely put that pressure on.

It was close to almost everything. Easy access to the freeway and to every cool places around Austin. The staff were approachable and accommodating especially Allison and Ivan. There was a big cockroach in the room. I reported it promptly and even sent a picture of the roach, they promise to fix it but never did.

It was really good location super close to airportand the room was comfy and nice! Would recommend. Note that the shuttle will stop at 11 pm for guests flying in late.

The air conditioner had a rattle that came and went. It was hard to keep the ac at a temperature that wasn't too cold and also to hot. The AC would go off in the night which meant you would wake up hot. Also the breakfast could use me variety and the juice station was watered down. Good thing there is a Dennys right next door

This place was awesome, so close to downtown Austin and you really get more bang for your buck staying close to the airport (they even had a free shuttle service). Only heard one plane go by and wasn't bothersome at all. Staff was very nice, the room was huge! And very well appointed and decorated super cute. I felt safe traveling alone. Great breakfast and gym. Would definitely stay here again. No notes.

Very clean property and rooms. The hotel staff were very helpful, courteous, and patient with all of our questions. The walls in the rooms are a bit thin as we could hear when the people staying next to us would close their door, but we never heard any talking or noise apart from that so we can't complain too much! We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious room. Attentive and friendly staff. Clean gym with new equipment. Nice additional quiet spaces to work/read such as the loft lounge and library (that I think you need to reserve). The bed was soooo comfortable with high quality linens and feather pillows, so felt more like 4 star hotel from a sleep experience.

The breakfast was not good. The orange juice was VERY watered down. There is little choice for food even if you arrive early. The breakfast area was very small, as if it was an afterthought. Also, the wifi in the hotel is VERY slow.

Nice hotel. But man oh man they go out of their way to make you feel bad about not booking direct with them. On check-in I was told that late checkout is $50/hr for people who book through hotels.com, and that I wouldn’t be earning any IHG points with them either (after they asked for my IHG number). Definitely makes sure the poor feel poor.

Stayed with Atwell for a surgery procedure at St David’s which was very close in proximity. The staff from start to finish were just exceptional. Any messages sent in question form were responded to with lightning speed. Requests for extra towels were accommodated. Breakfast bar was very good and coffee available throughout the day in the comfortable lobby. Right after returning from the hospital…I’d left my phone in a Lyft taxi and pretty much panicked me. Zoey and another associate made big efforts to get in touch w/ Lyft…and in the end my phone was secured. If ever a return to Austin…this will be the choice for accommodation.

The Atwell was quite possibly the nicest “airport hotel” we’ve ever stayed at. From the front desk staff, who we never would have known were new (only 2 weeks on the job) if they hadn’t told us, to the shower that felt like what I imagine showering in heaven would feel like, everything was wonderful. We had an issue with the AC unit in our room and they immediately remedied it. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub but they both looked great (& the hot tub was huge—it can fit at least a dozen people and is over 3 feet deep!). The rooms are spacious and decorated with bright art that is not garish. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and despite being between a busy highway and a busy airport, the room was very quiet. They also have a really nice (& reasonably priced) bar with small meals—flatbread, chicken sandwich, and other appetizer-type foods. And there’s a Denny’s right next door if you need a more substantial meal. The lobby has good coffee and a snack shop, and there are several different sitting areas (communal spaces) and a business center which we didn’t use but it’s nice to have the option. I had no idea the Atwell was so nice but now that I do, we’ll definitely be back. You won’t regret staying here!

This was the perfect place for an overnight stay! I loved the rooms, spacious, clean and the beds were so comfy. The staff were so nice and we loved the variety of complementary breakfast options. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I am out in Austin.

It was a great experience from the staff to the whole hotel. I arrived a little bit late to check in and the gentleman that helped me out was kind enough to sell me a cold beer after a long day of travel. Then the following morning breakfast was delicious everything was super clean. Highly recommend this hotel definitely when I’m back in Austin I will be booking here.

Atwell is a very clean hotel and courteous personnel.. Room not as seen on internet. Space between beds and wall was very small. Rooms dont have iron. But the worst was the same breakfast every day. Not even a small change daily. If you stay 2 or 3 days its ok. But for longer time is pathetic.

First time in all my years of traveling the globe that I’ve ever been charged for extended my checkout by 30 minutes. Even being a member of the loyalty and I still had to pay for a late checkout. This felt more like a motel instead of a hotel. Not sure where “Suites” fit in but not even close. Because of this issue all the other little things that I usually ignore are amplified……like the poor water pressure in the showers, narrow and awkwardly arranged room. Hard, thin towels and bed is not very comfortable, very minimal breakfast menu choices.

This was a very clean hotel near the airport. Our king suite room was huge! The bed was comfortable. Slept great. Would recommend to anyone flying out of the airport here.

The first room had a faulty toilet but I was able to move into another room with a working toilet. The young lady at the desk helped each time I needed it and help me move my items. Getting help was easy and I really like the coffee, tea, and juice bar.

The staff were very kind and pleasant. The rooms were gorgeous and the hotel was well equipped. I’d definitely stay here again. The coworking space and breakfast were great!

Breakfast options were not refilled promptly. Waited about 15-20 minutes and decided not to wait any longer.

Staff was great. HOWEVER, last night there was only one poor person running the show at the lobby/shopping/bar area. She was wonderful. EXCEPT, since there were so many people checking in, I and two other gentlemen I was not with waiting over 20 minutes to get served at the bar. You need to add another person at night, even if it's just a lower-level trainee/assistant to the front desk person. Also, it was cold last night and even though I set the thermostat up to 72, the room never went above 68. A little too chilly for my taste. When I woke up, it was cold and that made the tiles in the bathroom rate cold as well.

Clean and well maintained. Even with the rush of new arrivals the staff was attentive and very helpful. Excellent service.

Our stay at Atwell Suites Austin Airport started off as a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, it was completely overshadowed by an unacceptable and offensive encounter at checkout. After completing the checkout process at 11:30 AM, I stepped outside to load our luggage into the car while my wife remained in the lobby to prepare a complimentary coffee. At that moment, an employee named Ivan approached her and questioned whether she was a guest, stating that “homeless people sneak in to make coffee.” As one of the few African American guests at the hotel, this assumption was particularly troubling. My wife was rightfully offended and immediately informed him that she was with me and that we had just checked out. However, the fact that she was even subjected to such treatment being singled out, questioned, and made to feel unwelcome was humiliating and completely unacceptable. No guest should ever be made to feel like they do not belong, especially after paying for and staying at a property that prides itself on hospitality. This experience left us extremely disappointed and has completely changed our perception of IHG. If professionalism, respect, and inclusivity are important to you, I strongly urge you to reconsider staying at this location.

AC only works when you move. Who moves when sleeping? So be prepared to have AC turn off while sleeping.

Clean, modern, spacious rooms w comfortable beds and linens. Complimentary airport shuttle was suspended for weather so instead ordered me an Uber at no extra charge. Coffee, water and tea station in the lobby was a nice touch.

Spacious, well thought out bedroom. Accommodating staff. Perfect for night before my flight back to the UK with a free shuttle service to the airport

Hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. The suites with extra floor space were great for my family. It had a modern clean aesthetic. Great location for convenience for airport access and right next to a Denny’s with Javi’s Tex mex and Waffle House within walking distance.. Atwell has its own shuttle you can schedule for airport pick up and drop off. Simple continental breakfast. Great coffee bar. Free filtered water provided in lobby.

The stay at this hotel was good with good size room, and comfortable bed. However, being a vegetarian, we were very disappointed with breakfast. The only thing available for us was bagel! Ther was no whole milk as well. For an IHG hotel, we would expect there is sufficient breakfast option even for vegetarians. The cereals were cheap brands too. We book hotels so we can go bhot breakfast. But this was the bummer. Not completely satisfied. And we may not book the this hotel again

The hotel shuttle from the airport was not good. Our flight landed at 11:30 pm and couldn’t reach the front desk for the shuttle. We were later told it stopped at 11pm which the website does not advertise. We took a cab which we were over charged by $20 from what the meter said but we were beyond tired at midnight and wanted to go to bed. Breakfast was mediocre and seating in the common area was uncomfortable.

Very clean and spacious rooms.

We loved this hotel. We arrived at Austin Airport at 10am, and the hotel sent an Uber XL immediately. We were in the lobby with our luggage by 11am, and our rooms were ready. The front desk person was wonderful, and gave us some great ideas for our evening. Everything was great. Will definitely stay here if we visit Austin again.

I enjoyed my stay at Atwell Suites it was clean and comfortable, but it is next to the highway so you can hear the cars and sirens at night but it wasn’t bad. The room was very spacious too I was very surprised. I had to take an exam in the morning so I got up early and made it down for breakfast which was really nice. Thank you I really enjoyed my short stay here!

The only complaint would be the breakfast and not much of a selection 🙄 eggs and sausage were cold.

Amazing service when unexpected circumstances arrived. And the hotel itself is really comfortable and spacious. Perhaps the best non-luxury hotel I’ve stayed in — and I travel a lot for business.
