Gerebig Bungalow

The standard room was spacious with beautiful views of the garden all around. Access to the nice big pool was great. Big balcony. Fridge in the room. Very helpful and friendly staff. The kitchen for standard rooms is actually shared, but online description says private.

Gerebig Bungalow has a great location, right across the street from the Alchemy restaurant, perfect if you're a vegan or vegetarian. There are other great restaurants in the area, and of course, the Alchemy yoga studio. The staff are friendly, and the bungalow, tucked back from the road, is very quiet. Another plus is the lush tropical landscaping throughout the property. Like a lot of hotels in Bali, mold and mildew are a problem here. Without an a/c, my room was humid with a strong smell of mildew. The rooms are also a bit old, in need of a refresh, and some of the furniture was termite eaten.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were also excellent. Property is clean, close to restaurants and event centers, and decently equipped. Room, bed, and balcony were decent size. Loved having a refrigerator and bottled water dispenser in the room. And loved having clothes hangers in the armoire. Many of us don't travel with clothes hangers, so having them is such a small thing, and yet so helpful. Attention to room maintenance would make the stay even better. Fixing small things like the broken towel hangers on the bathroom door. The melted drain in the sink. The loose wall mount for the shower head. The broken and taped bottom shelf in the door of the refrigerator. The doors to the armoire that don't close easily and stay latched.

Gerebig was perfect for a digital nomad. The bungalow is very private and quiet with a big room and a nice veranda in a beautiful garden. The location was very convenient - a very short walk to a coworking space and to several restaurants. I would stay there again.

Perfect location for us! Set in lush surroundings and paths. Low key charming accommodations with a very friendly staff. Loved our patio with magnificent array of plants and visiting birds. There was nothing not to like. We totally enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful place!!! And the host was amazing. So kind and helpful. Location was great. You can eat, do yoga, go to the supermarket without ever going on the main streets. So much green beauty surrounds the area. You will love it here! I highly recommend Gerebig Bungalows to anyone coming to Ubud!!

You are literally stayed deep in the forest

The sheets and towels smelled moldy and I'm not super sensitive but woke up stuffy every morning.

Close to a lot of things to do No ac, the rooms and things in them are a bit on the older side. Left half way through my stay and payed for a different hotel…

Staff were super friendly. Free breakfast was unexpected. Nice gardens. Close to everything in Penestanan. It is down an uneven path so some signage could help. Some AC wouldn't hurt.

My week at Gerebig was exactly what I needed to start off my trip to Bali. Ibu Kadek and all of the staff were great. Excellent communications and responsiveness. Staff can help with rides, tickets to Kecak dance, laundry, excursion suggestions, etc. I landed in Bali at 1am and they arranged for a pickup in advance from airport and took me directly to my room. So reassuring after an exhausting flight. . Very warm welcome. Breakfast was a highlight each day deciding how I wanted to start off my day. Many options. The grounds are expansive and lovely. The location in Penestanan is a short walk outside of Ubud Center ( honestly, faster to walk than sit in Ubud traffic). So much quieter and less traffic than in town and I loved the neighborhood and all of the pedestrian walkways throughout to get around where I wanted to go. I only swam in the pool twice but the setting was also so lovely. The rates for the week were very reasonable. I have no complaints I did not have AC, but some rooms have it. I didn't need it. . Stay at Gerebig for a warm and friendly, familial introduction to Ubud.

Spacious room. Big Area, 15-20 mins walking to Ubud Central. Only 300 metres behind Blanco Museum

Very well located and an a large green territory, easy to order grab. Surrounded by nice restaurants like Alchemy (vegan), Brie(cheese, meat, DJ), Clover( happy hour and live music) Very basic amenities, no hairdryer and air conditioner, but the weather was 28*C an we managed well with the provided fan

Very quiet but not so far from the center of Ubud (15 minutes). Very friendly and helpful owner

awesome location ! Great thoughtful host and an amazing garden ! As it was raining we didnt make use of the pool, but it looked lovely. Loads of cafes within walking distance. Great breakfast and very quickly served as well. Thank you !! weather couldve been better :))) But no fault of the accommodation !!
