Amazing staff and great service. Wonderful room amidst lush greenery. Value for money overall. The staff went out of their way to make my stay a wonderful one. They accommodated a number of my personal requests thus making my stay a truly memorable one. Nothing of significance. The fan in the room had a 'white' noise but it wasn't too much of a bother after a while.

loved the breakfast, excellent presentation and was very healthy. the signage to the hotel needs to be better both taxi's took us to the wrong hotel and there is confusion with a nearby similarly named hotel.

The location feels very welcoming, just like the staff. Everyone was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. Communication was excellent, especially via WhatsApp, with very fast responses at any time of the day. Breakfast was very generous, fresh, and consistent. We tried all five breakfast options and everything was delicious. We also had dinner a few times and tried different cuisines including Balinese, Chinese, and international dishes, all of which were excellent. The spa services were also great, with very relaxing and high-quality massages. The resort offers very good value for money overall. A big plus is the free shuttle service for guests, which we used quite often and found extremely convenient. There wasn’t anything significant that I didn’t like. If I had to mention something, housekeeping could be slightly improved, but it was not a major issue. The resort is a bit far from the central area, but you can easily reach it in about 30 minutes by Grab or free shuttle service from the resort, depending on traffic.

Hidden gem away from the buzz of Ubud. Amazing facilities and incredible staff. Will definitely come back!

Incredible taste of Indonesian hospitality, and a beautiful rural setting. Lots of activities on offer. Sometimes patchy wifi but goes with the remoteness vibe

Because the hotel is basically located in a forest there were some gecko sounds during the night which I assume is normal at those kind of hotels. The front desk offered to change our room!

Honestly….everything

We stayed for two weeks and honestly, if we hadn’t already booked another accommodation for the rest of our stay, we would have liked to stay at Rumah Kayu for even longer! The property is stunning, but what really made our experience outstanding was the staff. They made us feel so at home! And they had a whole vegan menu, with many options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I ever come back to Ubud I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable! ? Location was slightly outside of Ubud, which can be inconvenient for some, but if you want to be away from the craziness of the city, it’s perfect! If you dislike wild animals (frogs, lizards etc) for some reasons, this is probably not the place for you. Because the resort is located in the midst of nature, we had some cute little visitors during our stay, which we personally didn’t mind. Had some issues with towels at the beginning of our stay (they were not looking very clean), but staff gave us new towels right away.

Everything was great

I absolutely cannot rave enough about my experience here. I had such a lovely time in room 15. It truly felt like my own little wonderland. The front staff was so accommodating and handled all inquiries immediately. I will most certainly be back. The food at the restaurant is terrible even the most simple dishes like rice paper rolls were poorly made or over processed. There is a great restaurant around the corner.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the private villa and the room was incredible from the bed to the shower. As soon as we arrived, we went to the spa and got the two-hour package with an hour Balinese massage, facial and scrub and it was one of the nicest massages I've had in a long time. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The food there is nice, however, I do recommend exploring town as there are a lot of great options nearby. Nothing negative to say
