Bali Jungle Resort

The location and surroundings of this Resort is truly gorgeous - located next to a river in the middle of the jungle, the soundscape of nature is just incredible. The bungalow was great - I love the idea to have 3 glass fronts to have a complete view of the jungle, that you can close with completely opaque curtains. I loved the closeness to nature, I loved all the insects and animals around, all the sounds. It was just amazing. And to all the comments that point this out as a negative -> you booked a JUNGLE bungalow, what do you expect? Of course there will be animals, especially insects everywhere. I have to point out the staff as well - I stayed over Nyepi and the staff kept the kitchen running for the guests. I would have been fine with only the breakfast (as part of the rate); I was actually sorry for the staff to spend Nyepi cooking for others. So thank you very much. Now to the reason, why I only gave 8 stars. The place is a bit run down. Maybe it is because it is still low season and they might get everything back to shiny and nice for main season, but anyway. For this kind of money that it normally costs (I got quite a special booking rate, otherwise I most likely wouldn't have taken it), you would expect a better state. Don't get me wrong, the bungalow itself was amazing, clean and everything worked great. But the common areas were not well maintained - algae in the ponds, the spa area was abandoned and obviously not in use since quite a long time, the sunbeds at the pool were dirty and so on. The restaurant and food options are ok, but also I would expect a bit more in this price category.

The hotel is located deep in the jungle, so it’s important to prepare in advance as getting in and out is not easy. The entrance is very steep and can take time to navigate, especially for those with mobility issues, and many of the steps are quite slippery. Our room also had a fridge that didn’t work, which made things less convenient, leaving us with little choice but to dine on site where the menu was also quite limited same as breakfast.

Everything!!!! Absolutely stunning surroundings. Gorgeous big pool in the middle of the jungle. Staff are awesome. Can have food by the pool or brought to your room. Amazing massage in early evening listening to the waterfall and the critters sing. This isn't a complaint but just a heads up if you have old knees. Lots of steps. And the driveway is extremely steep and windy but did make it a proper adventure for us. ??

we liked the location of the resort plus staff was so friendly and quick responsive, doesnt matter what is the time! they have a trump card as down to the resort there is a river and falls where you can spend your time with your loved one. I must say a great place to visit !! we are vegetarian and we did not find much options for vegetarians but they have promised to add more vegetarian items for future!

It didn't bother us but be aware there is no tv. Limited wifi and no fridge.

The fact that this is my second time staying here just this year alone says it all. This place is such a rare and special gem in Bali. Hidden away in the middle of the jungle, you feel all the beauty of nature while still enjoying all the luxuries of a villa. That feeling of opening up your villa door in the morning and being greeted by a sea of lush green jungle as you take a dip in your private pool, listening to nothing but the sounds of nature around you— truly unforgettable. Also this place is super fun to explore, winding paths along the valley side decorated with mossy sculptures and little hidden vistas that inspire you to venture in and see it all. You can go down to the river as well and see a little waterfall hidden in the valley. All I can say is this place feels magical and the pictures don’t really do it justice. After a long day of sight seeing around Bali, coming back to the calm and quiet beauty of this place is everything. 100% recommend

Nice cute bungalow, but small bed, nice pool and great breakfast. Staff were very kind and helpful Kust cold shower BD location, not so many opportunities for food. Just a few restaurant, not a good way to go down to the jungle.

The huts are amazing, I had a super simple one and then a slightly more fancy one. The view of the jungle is what makes this place so special, it is just so incredible to be so surrounded by jungle. The grounds are also amazing, with a pool looking out onto the jungle and sties leading down to the river. The pictures here don’t do this place justice. I felt a little isolated there as I am a solo traveller without a moped and it’s in a quiet area of Bali, plus very limited English with the staff, and only had the restaurant on site to eat at which was limited but fine for dinner, but extremely limited for breakfast (pancakes or waffles! But they were tasty!). I wanted to go on a proper trek in the jungle, and was sold a 4 hour one with a guide, and it ended up being more like 2 hours with lots of stops. He was lovely but it wasn’t what I was looking for. But otherwise the place and the sounds of the jungle were soo worth a short trip. Also would have loved a lamp in my room cause it was either super bright or pitch black!

Beautiful facility in the jungle. Spent our last night there as a family after four weeks in Bali. A wonderful conclusion in the jungle. Original, great pool, great atmosphere. You just notice the two years of Covid. Some little things need updating - but honestly, that's part of Bali. Gorgeously imperfect.
