Well equipped accomodation, diverse breakfast and polite staff I would have expected to provide us basic hygiene items as tissues or toothpaste. Some of the products served for breakfast weren't fresh The property is far from the city. Consider 1 h commute

Too out of the way. Room floors were dirty. Air conditioning did not work.

We loved that it had a pool, was super clean and tastefully decorated and all who worked there were wonderful. Martina at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating. It’s very far from Barcelona proper- however there are many ways to get to down town- Tram, bus metro. Sime ways better than others.

Good location like the property it just far from city center.

Matxalen is the best❣️❣️. I don't like that the hotel accepts animals. Because the very thought of sleeping in a room where an animal was before me really bothers me. Also, many of the workers don't know how to speak English, which is necessary for me to work in the hotel, but I hear those same people speaking French. There is no logic.

Hotel is totally renovated, and is located in s calm area not very far from the airport, with many means of transport for the city center of Barcelona.. NA

The water pressure was excellent, the air-conditioning worked, the beds were reasonably comfortable, and that was the end of it It was really in a bad location, we had no idea when we booked it, it takes forever to get to the tourist areas, you have to take a subway for 45 minutes, then you have to get on the tram, sometimes we waited 20 minutes for the tram and then another half an hour on the tram, you can easily spend one and a half hours from downtown, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anybody as a tourist

Good job brining the facility up to speed. Good food in the cafe, fine breakfast. Slow as snot checking-in process. A bit fiddly on rules... The pool was said to close at 8pm and we'd arrived about 6:30. Sadly we were to leave very early to catch a flight the next day and there was no discount or offer to pack a light one. Then when we went to the pool and 7pm, two issues. What looks to be a hot jacoussi type area isn't, but it's a wading pond. Then of course no heat, and the pool was locked. We really had to do a lot of smiling against a good bit of hesitation to get a moment to learn that the water was unbearable cold. Good design in smallis rooms which were well appointed. check in process needs streamlining.

Bed was made every day, the design of the rooms is well tought of, the bar besides the pool was great, staff was great all around. Regarding location, you should take the tram to the city center instead of what gmaps advises, much simpler and more reliable. Surprisingly...even nitpicking, nothing.

It’s great, staff are nice, the swimming pool was full all the time with kids and unfortunately after 20h even during the summer we were not allowed to get in, but still being great the area around the pool and the bar. The food was also great. It was a lovely experience! The timing, checkin late, checkout very sooner. Swimming pool is not 24h open.

Very clean room and facilities. Great breakfast. Nice swimming pool. Beach towels provided. My favorite part was chit chat with receptionists and the barman! Very nice people, I felt very welcome! There is a nice Mercadona within walking distance and a full sized hospital next door (hope you never need it, but still). I suggest you visit Sant Joan Despi town centre, it’s lovely. Location us quite distant - in order to get to the Barcelona center, you need to either take a tram/bus then change to metro or walk for 20 minutes and take a train. Taxi is 20 EUR+ one way. If you have your own means of transportation, this hotel is simply perfect!
