The fact that I had to go every day, every single day, to make the access card work again at the reception. Also, they constantly thought my girlfriend was staying with me, when she lives in Rio, and did not stay. They even charged me for that, unilaterally.

The location and breakfast were great. Check-in and check-out were more complicated than expected. It took over 45 minutes for my booking to be confirmed at check-in, which made the arrival process quite slow. At check-out, I asked if it would be possible to extend my stay in the room until 2:00 pm, considering that my check-in one night before had been quite late (around 11:45 pm). I tried to explain my situation and hoped we could find a mutually flexible solution, but unfortunately there was no possibility of negotiation from the hotel’s side. I was offered the option of paying a fee of R$287 to keep the room until 6:00 pm so I could leave my luggage there. All my belongings were already packed and I was not actually using the room during that entire period, but this was the only option available. During our conversation, I mentioned that experiences like this can influence how guests evaluate their stay. The manager, Carol, said that such a comment could be interpreted as coercion, which surprised me, as my intention was simply to explain my perspective and try to reach a reasonable arrangement. Additionally, the air conditioning in the room was very strong and difficult to control. Even when set to the highest temperature (31°C), the ventilation remained intense and the room stayed quite cold. Bed sheets, mattress and pillows could be more comfortable as well. Overall, I tried to approach the situation with flexibility and understanding, especially considering the late check-in, but unfortunately that flexibility did not seem to be reciprocated.

Location and room size. Rio needs to clean up the city.

The breakfast was good and divers. The bathroom was old fashion

Breakfast exceeded expectations. There was a variety of breads, juices and fruits. The room lacked maintenance. The AC vent (on the ceiling) was leaking all night flooding the room creating a dangerous situation. Housekeeping/service did not respond to requests timely. Room service was terrible. We ordered a vegetarian soup and was served a meat based soup. We are strict vegetarians, so was very hurt by the lack of respect to our choice of food options. The restaurant replaced it with a vegetarian option at no cost. The food was great. Again high reviews for all the food served at the hotel. Customer service needs to be improved.

The breakfast room was wonderful, a big selection from eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit & pastries. It was staffed with amazing waiters! it was so much more than I had expected! Can't think of anything!

Breakfast was delightful. The air conditioner would not turn down, so we had to turn it off periodically.

I loved the location, the friendly staff, the great quality service, the spacious rooms and bathrooms, and the wonderful breakfasts. A great value for the amount paid. I think the rooms need minor updates, such as electric plugs by the beds.

Nice breakfast. Good location. Room was smaller than expected. No place to sit; other than on the bed. Smoke detector was missing (but replaced once we pointed it out). Charged us 600 Reis more once we got there. Wanted to watch Grey Cup football game on 10th floor bar tv (no one there but us) but were told it wasn't permitted.
