Baymont by Wyndham Plano

We arrived and cancelled our room after we saw the condition. There were roaches and unsavory people hanging around the lobby and property.

The rooms were clean, but there was a strong smell of Marijuana throughout the inside and outside. The staff member that was in charge of the breakfast area was rude and snapped at guests. The pool was not open. The website stated there was a pool but it was closed. The Ice machine most of the time has no Ice. The front desk staff was very pleasant and cheerful.

I asked for a downstairs room and was asked if I had any disabilities. When I said I'm just autistic and have alot of stuff (cause I didn't want to argue about the fact he should never asked me that) I was talked down too. The website said a full breakfest bar which it wasn't. Will not stay again

Hotel had mold and a barking dog. You're sent a message after check in telling Expedia NOT to call and ask for a refund under any circumstances. I suspect that people arriving and calling to ask to cancel their stay happens often.

Breakfast was always made for us fresh clean room and plenty of heat and air conditioning for the hot summer days and a cold winter nights if you ever get a chance to meet Alex he's a good friend of mine that's how I was able to beat him because he works there very caring and nice guy and very helpful and knows his job this guy deserves a nice promotion that I hope he gets in the near future very deserving kind soul . Management has worked very hard keeping the property very respectable and red of all the troublemakers that wants flooded the place I can honestly say has done a really good job cleaning the place up safe for all customers and employees with 24 hours by the local police in high tech cameras on property very safe place to stay for everyone and shout out to the rest of the staff and management for always being there for me and helping me when times were rough for me and hope to visit again soon love you guys. The place was a dumb. Room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. We stripped the beds and used our own bedding. The wash clothes looked like they hadn’t been washed. We used our own stuff. Not worth staying at

The breakfast was terrible we left the hotel to find some breakfast. The air conditioning worked good, the chair in the room was in poor shape, and the sheets had stains on them.

The lobby and hall ways smells like pee and the room I had stunk as well but not like pee like someone lived there a long time and their smell stayed behind.

The hotel needs immediate upgrades but the staff is exceptional!

The breakfast didnt even have eggs, they only had waffle and potatoes for warm food. The hallway smelled like weed. The staff did the best they could with the people that use the hotel. Out tub was painted over, the door of the bathroom 332 has a hole on it, the tv would not connect to the internet. We are not coming back there.

AC was not working properly, room was not at all clean, many cockroaches were found in the room. Can smell cigars everywhere in the hotel, safety wise its not at all recommendable. Very uncomfortable to stay with family

Hotel was filthy. Sheets had hair and spots so we requested for clean set which we changed ourselves. There were roaches in the bathroom, dust on furniture, door security latch loose, repairs on bathroom door were horrible and floors were filthy. I can't believe it's part of the Wyndham hotel chain. Wyndham should revoke their name and not be associated with this hotel. Will not stay at this hotel ever again!

Nice staff. It's just an old building and certainly smells like it. Very thin walls, the ac didn't seem to keep the room cold. The toilet was not attached to the ground. One lightbulb in all lamps.

The room should be taken off market and the ac/heater plus the hair dryer needs to be replaced. The countertop needs to be fixed. It's being held up by a 2x4 at 1 end. Not Good.

The ac/heater made a loud sound when it came on and I notified the front desk about it Friday when I got in my room and asked for another room on the 3rd floor and it never happened. Plus the hair dryer doesn't work properly, no heat coming out of it. And the bathroom counter is being held up by a piece of 2x4. That room needs to be taken off market and totally fixed before being rented to anyone else.

Booked a king size bed and was given a double queen. The room smelled like absolute mold and musty. Dead cockroach in the tub and live one crawling around in bathroom. Shower curtain looks disgusting. Stuck pieces of hard candy on carpet. You can’t connect the tv to the WiFi to stream anything. And the toilet barely flushed. I was told I would be refunded my final night but I have not been.

The staff was super helpful and I stayed while my tiny home was being remodeled for 3 week they were more than accommodating the housekeeping is a Joy they clean everyday the

It’s an inexpensive hotel but was very convenient for my visit. I saw one lady carrying out a huge bag of food one morning- she reminded me of a homeless person. There was a pile of luggage in a corner of the hotel that was there during my 3 day stay. It was the same luggage all 3 days.

Based on the condition of the hotel and other observations we didn’t dare eat the free buffet breakfast. We couldn’t get out fast enough the next morning. We canceled our reservation for the following night and ended up making reservations at a Drury Hotel which was fantastic and I highly recommend.

We had not even checked into the room when another customer was checking out without staying due to roach infestation. This is the second time I’ve tried to stay at a Baymont and the smell and suspicious activity prevented us from staying.

It was cheaper than surrounding properties and the AC worked. Aside from that, sleeping in your car might be a viable option instead. Facility was lacking maintenance, staff was scarce, sheets were dirty, and breakfast offerings were a joke. Rotten bananas, stale bagels that crumbled, bread that birds wouldn’t eat, and the only things I felt safe in consuming were cereal and coffee creamer.

Heavy Marijuana smell begins from the lobby, the moment you step into the hotel, and everywhere until you go to your room. I stayed a week, and the smell never went away. WORSE HOTEL EVER. Everything is broken and dirty, with bugs in the room. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. People (looks kinda homeless) smoking WEED all over, LIKE outside the hotel, every single entrance, swimming pool, etc. This type of hotel shouldn't be listed by Orbit at all. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED..

I hope Expedia also will move away from occupation tourism in the West Bank, and also accurately state that the rooms here are not refundable. On night two, the manager also kept bugging us by repeatedly knocking the door to check how things were going, while also being non-responsive to the concerns we shared about the first room. The bathtub was peeling in both rooms. The breakfast is understocked and kinda sad. Smells like smoke throughout the entire building despite it supposedly being non-smoking. I was able to find better places nearby with similar prices at the end of our reservation, so take the extra effort to look for them. This one is not the worst out there, but it's pretty uncomfortable. The employees seem to be the only good elements of this place.

While brushing my teeth a roach ran across the mirror. Hotel hallways smelled dank like stale weed and cigarettes. There was a homeless guy in the bushes eating pizza. Breakfast was lackluster. They were serving small pigs n a blanket, they put out a total of 6 out while I was down there for 30 minutes. Several people came down and there was nothing left. Don't know what I was expecting for $70

Though there was a bit of a hiccup over my reservation, I was checking in super late, the hotel honored the reservation and told me that I could clear up any discrepancy in the morning. The staff was extremely helpful, especially the night guy Alex.

It was convenient for where I needed to be. The place was very dirty there was black curly hair in the beds there was dirt and Lent all over the beds the floors looked at their head they had not been vacuumed, the bathtub could only get hot water so you can barely stand to shower the knob was broken and you could barely turn the water on. There were signs everywhere that said 100% smoke-free however the entire facility smell of cigarette smoke marijuana smoke cigar smoke and very stale

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Fake reviews online and the photos are deceptive

Everything has stains on it from the pillows to the shower curtain. There was dirt on the toilet lid and shower curtain. And when I was about to jump in the shower a roach crawled out from the cracks in the wall. Was here for two days for a concert and would never go back!

This is a terrible place. The place has a distinct smell to begin with, beds were made, but there were visible handprints on the headboard, bathtub was filthy, refrigerator was not getting cold and the freezer part was iced over -there was also a drink that was left inside it, the elevator was trying to go up and the door was wide open when it did that (we used the stairs every time after that), and the upholstery on the office chair was tattered and peeling. I’ve never felt this unsafe and uncomfortable in any rental. The young man at the front desk offered a full refund, and we appreciated that.

The walls in the room had terrible patch work. The smoke detector was damaged. There was a roach in the shower. When i asked for an extra pillow or more towels, he said they were out. It was a terrible experience.

The morning time staff is a bit rude.

I stay there for 5 night and had no room service to clean the room and had to stop the staff in the hall to get fresh and clean towels.

We arrived after 1 a.m. We thought the room was ready because the reservation was made several days ago and we paid early online. But it seems they gave us a room that was out of order. The bathroom was dirty and had mold. The towels were yellow and the bathroom curtain was yellow.

I would not recommend staying there. We had roaches in our room, mold in the picture frames in the room. Door jam busted on the bathroom door, mold on the lamp shades. The halls smelt of Marijuana. Mold on the window shades. The housekeeping didnt even come to clean or restock the room.

It is a terrible and filthy place. It should not be on hotels .com at all. I asked to see 3 rooms and everyone of them was disgusting. I never want to book with hotels.com again. This was an awful and scary stay there. Around 9pm one of the office staff knocked on my door and forced me to open or he would call the police on me. He said i was not authorized to be there. I was alone and was terrified to open the door. He didn't have a uniform on either.

Hotel is very old, and in need of remodeling. The room was disgustingly dirty. The old paint was peeling in the bathroom, and the bathroom floor was dirty. The bed sheets were dirty and covered with hair.

Served the purpose but we would not stay again. Rented two rooms, one of them the air nor fridge worked so we had to request a different one. The hallways reeked of weed. Rooms were very run down and not overly clean. Sheets and blankets had stains. Staff was nice but didnt seem surprised about our issues.

Breakfast was not good and long term residents will bring breakfast to their rooms despite being told not to. Hotel doesn’t feel like hotel but more like housing projects.

The bathtub was very dirty, and there was black mold and hairs inside it. The toilet was had many roaches. Also, the beds had crumbs and burn marks on it. When we asked for a cleaner room, we got keys to another room that was also the same condition as our room. It seems like there was no room service.

The staff was very friendly. The facility itself was dirty and falling apart. Our room had duct tape holding the dresser together. The sheets had cigarette burn marks and stains. The pillow cases had brown and red stains. The bath tub had pubic hairs all over it, and in the bath room area the counters were not cleaned and had coffee and stains and dirt on them, and the wall pannels fell down numerous times. The carpet had not been vacuumed. And the couch was dirty as well.

This motel has a pool outside it is green and swampy and when you go inside it says no smoking but it just smells like cigarettes in there. When you walk through the halls it smells muggy and like cigarette smoke and there are roaches crawling on the walls. Inside the room there were baby roaches in the bath tub, the tub was filthy and the toilet looked like the room hadn't even been cleaned. The floor by the bed had an ash from someone's cigarette, there were baby roaches coming out of the side tables by the lamps and some just crawling around. The sofa is filthy in there and it looks like it has never been cleaned or washed ever. I paid for 2 nights but I barely stayed that one night cause it was disgusting in there! I'm wondering how they are still open with those kind of conditions!

They do have snacks and drinks available for purchase in the main lobby. The breakfast buffet is limited and typical of a 1-2 star hotel. Don’t expect room service or cleanness in the public areas of the hotel. Location is next to lots restaurants and 75 in Plano. In my opinion, i wouldn’t stay here again. I can find something more comfortable for a little bit more.

The Hotel was terrible. The room was disgusting stained and ripped comforter, mismatched chair ripped and badly stained, shower curtain rod barely screwed in, the finish in the bathtub was peeling, the carpet was dirty, and the smoke detector was missing with wires hanging from the ceiling, at checkout I was approached by a guest to purchase drugs, there was a strong smell of marijuana in the hallways and full garbage bags of trash,and it appeared some guest were living there, the pool was murky and used for a drug smoking area, the 2nd day of our 5 day prepaid booking, the hotel filled with smoke, the manager refused to even take a look to investigate I had to contact the fire department and the police department, Me and My wife packed and left and stayed with family for the remainder of our vacation, waste of money and disappointed in Expedia for having Wyndham Baymont on there site, the place is very dangerous it is in a high crime area, and I am thankful I made it out alive, not to mention this totally ruining our vacation!

The location was not the best but the price was decent so you get what you pay for. There were people roaming around outside at night who probably weren’t hotel patrons lol. Breakfast was average (Texas waffle, cereal, toast) Overall a decent stay but we probably won’t be back

I am blessed this place is awesome ,staff whom try their best to work with you and all their guest like a real family oriented establishment with friendly staff and guest ,you must come and stay here.

Drug dealing and noise in rooms.

The only thing okay at this property is that the front desk was nice enough not to charge us to cancel once we got there. The lobby smelled heavy of smoke. When I asked if it was non smoking, the guy at front desk said yes, would you like me to show you your room first before you pay? Seems like they may get a lot of people who come and want to cancel when they arrive because that seemed common to him. We had reserved two rooms. One smelled bad of smoke and one smelled strong of chlorine, but was no where near the pool. The main floor bathroom had a lock that you had to get a key from front desk to use. It was dirty. Several people hanging outside the front of the building. Just not what we expected so we were thankful to move on to another hotel one exit further that was extremely clean and nice for only $30 more a night.

The property was dirty, grungy, and several guests loudly left because of cockroaches during our stay. Thankfully we didn’t personally see any bugs, but it was a very dirty and grungy hotel especially for the price that we paid.

I do not recommend this property to anyone. There are to many people hanging around outside and people coming up to cars like drug action there were even ladies walking around looking like hookers. Horrible experience.

Great Management, very friendly, great condition for the price. I have stayed here several times. It is not the Hilton or Embassy Suites, but very clean and good service considering the price.

There was no hot water for 24 hours without warning or compensation. There was hair in the sink like someone had just shaved and hairs in the bed sheets. There were roaches crawling on the sink and in the tub.

I didn’t get everyone’s name, but just to reiterate, the employees were great .. John and Alex were the only names I remember... Thank you for your kindness in a time when my family needed it... and everyone else for that matter.

The shower in room 303 had zero hot water which was really disappointing when you drive for many hours and all you want out of your hotel is a hot shower.

Front desk help is friendly house keeping yells at you if you ask for anything. They won't come clean your room until you check out so if you need your room cleaned or need clean towels you have to do it yourself. Breakfast is ok if you want a lot of carbs it's always tater tots, pig's in a blanket, waffle, toast, bagels, muffins and donuts. No eggs, bacon, sausage or biscuits and gravy

There was black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Day two of my stay, there was no hot water!

The staff was friendly and professional and I woke up to a free breakfast. The hotel is in the middle of everything in the center of Plano: transport, restaurants, shopping, etc. For the price, this is a place to be on low budget and still get a four star treatment.

This place discriminates against Ada animals throws you out very unaccommodating staff very good and they do a lot of threatening if you don't say or do whatever you're supposed to do when you're only in your room all the time doing nothing and bothering nobody never go there tons of bugs

We had a great stay. Breakfast was good. We did call to ask for a late check out but was told 10 am was the latest, when 11 am is the actual checkout. We didn’t argue and left before 10. Other than that, it was a great stay.
