Cristina gave us the warmest welcome to the hotel and a complimentary glass of wine. The breakfast was great, hot and cold buffet and fresh fruit. The snacks available by the pool throughout the afternoon were reasonably priced and as good quality as in any local restaurant. The term snack somewhat under sells the quality really. Pasta and seafood options were top notch. The basil came from the hotel's own herb garden and shrimps in lemon leaves used leaves from the lemon trees that grew by the pool. Our room was spotless, aircon was included and the entire hotel was cleaned top to bottom every single day. All the staff I met were friendly, pleasant and very helpful. The location is perfect with lots of great restaurants within a shot walk - the railway station is a 15 minute walk away and that wa shandy for our trips to Herculaneum, Pompeii and for catching he fast jet ferry from Sorrento main port. I am so glad that I found this gem and that we stayed in Piano di Sorrento as the main town is pretty manic these days. Piano is like Sorrento was back in 1985 last time I was there. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Albatross.

Very good

Friendly and very helpful staff. Special thank you to Cristina. The location of the hotel in close proximity to Sorrento and very good as a base to explore Amafi cost, Pompei, and many more attractions in the area. Swimming pool with sunbeds and sea view from the room. Fridge in the room. There could be a bottle of water and a few disposable cups provided in the room for the start.

Cleanliness and accessibility. The most important thing for me was parking which was arranged comfortably by the hotel. Everthing was fine.

Pool and close to the train station Dated decor

Lovely hotel, amazing staff and love the location! Train station isn't too bad of a walk but be careful if out at night as the trains from Sorrento don't return after 10pm we found. The staff even gave us a free upgrade which was much appreciated. Would happily stay again.

Beach towels were dirty. Hotel room was ready 2 hrs after check in time. Room did not have 4 star facilities (kettle, slippers). Staff was not friendly despite room was not ready at check in time. Even though booking mentioned check in 2, they said it is at 3 , and checked us at 4.

the breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Lovely and clean.

Very basic 3 star hotel.

The location of this hotel is really good, it's 10 mins walk to the station, Piano di Sorrento. There is also a nearby beach, €20 for 2 loungers and an umbrella, and restaurants all within walking distance. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean. The shower was hot and fresh towels every day. The rooms are dated but were comfortable, and the air conditioning did work. The pool is good, it's clean, nice and deep. It's not really a hotel to sit around the pool, as most people are there to see the sites. However, if you do want to sit for a couple of hours, we could get a lounger. We stayed an extra night instead of going to Naples so that we could walk to the beach for a second visit. It's advertised as a 4 star Hotel, which it definitely isn't. It's a 3 star. We had really hot weather and never in, but if the weather wasn't good, the lack of 4 star facilities and quality might irritate you. Breakfast is basic, but ok. A simple thing, like the toaster doesn't work, was mentioned by someone else in a review and remains the same. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which is pretty standard these days. This hotel is riding on its lovely staff and location. There is no investment in the hotel building, or facilities. Yes, it's cheaper than Sorrento. However, it wasn't cheaper than a 4 star boutique hotel in Rome, near the Trevi fountain.

Rooms were clean and spacious, big pool with lots of sun chairs/ outdoor seating. Breakfast everyday was good. Excellent staff. 10 min walk from the train station, doesn't take long to get to Sorrento. 15 min walk to the beach.

The shower was mouldy & could hardly open the screen door. No draw space whatsoever. Air conditioning only worked slightly but not on very often as problem they told us. Pool was in very bad condition The staff were lovely ladies All of itx

The staff were fantastic! Especially Carmella at reception who was an absolute angel in helpings us! We had an unforunate incident at another hotel which left us no where to stay for the night and no way for getting out of Ercolano however Carmella was amazing and arranged a taxi to collect us. The room was clean with a beautiful view. There was lots of choice for breakfast and was lovely and fresh. Dinner in the hotel was fabulous and excellent value for money. Staff in the dinning room were wonderful. On the way to the train station with our cases staff contacted local mini bus to drop as the station. Hotel is a few minutes walk to shops and small bars and further along the road at the pier there is more with a larger walking route to central Piano di Sorrento Was a lovely relaxing few days after our terrible expereince and would definitely recommend. Direct walk to the train station was a little awkward due to the narrow roads but was manageable.
