Our room was very clean, staff was very friendly

Front desk staff not very friendly. The overnight staff member was probably the only nice one. Rooms were small but clean. The lobby and hallway were extremely hot. It felt like the heater was on when it was reaching 100 degrees outside. Breakfast was okay, basic.

Easy little overnight

My husband confirms that they have the best pillows which I also agree with him. We slept so comfortable, and it was so clean outside the building and inside for right of highway 20. Breakfast was so good and healthy, with many options to choose from. They insured that breakfast was always stocked with supplies.

The staff was amazing and so friendly. The room was a little disappointing. It was small and didn’t even have a coffee maker. The hallway to the room had a very strong and unpleasant smell. The room was fine for a quick overnight stop but I wouldn’t have enjoyed staying longer than that.

The building has received recent upgrades. The staff was friendly and amenities were nice. My only complaint was you can hear everything. We were on the first floor and could hear other above us, beside us and in the hallway, which made it hard to rest.

Room and lobby super clean! Good for families. Some staff was good, others barely looked up when you walked by. Breakfast was ok, not many options. And no pool, my kiddos were sad about that.

The room was clean, relatively quiet (was placed next to a room that was also occupied but thankfully they were not loud). The parking lot wasn't full so they could have spaced us out a little better I thought. But no issues. Will stay there again if needed during a rig move.

Maybe it’s me but I didn’t realize this was a stripped-down hotel. No luggage rack, no closet ( hooks and hangers around the room )shared liquid soap, body wash, etc. no shelf in the shower to put your stuff, and fixed shower door so you have to get a blast of cold water to turn the shower on. Bed was uncomfortable for my hips and shoulders.

The staff was the epitome of professional and courteous service.

I booked my room and confirmed. On the day just before check in they called me and said no rooms are available, room full. When I got frustrated, they gave me room.

Blow dryer was broken. I called front desk and not able to provide a replacement.

The room was tiny. The shades had water stains. One of the lamps didn’t work. There was a weird smell. The doors don’t go all the way to the floor so any noise from the hallway comes in and vice versa. A couple other rooms were using towels to fill the two inch gap so that’s what we did too. The area around it didn’t feel super safe. Not well lit. We checked out as soon as we could in the morning and would not stay there again.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The AC couldn't keep up at 70 degrees though. It was hot all night in our room.

Very small room for King size bed. Almost ne room to sit down other than the bed. Remote(s) didn't work. What concerns me the most is there are no exit doors on both sided of the hotel, just in the main entrance area. IMO, this is a fire safety hazard and I'm curious how it got passed in the engineering, planning phase or how it passes fire code.

Nice a quiet and easy access getting there and leaving

It was pretty new. Carpets were clean & the whole place was pretty. The only think would have like hot water for hot chocolate or tea. It was out of order.

We had to make a last minute trip to Midland and we had stayed at Avis before. It is very clean and staff are friendly. We were on the go the whole time, so the breakfast was perfect for us to get a couple things and hit the road.

I had to put a deposit and never got it back

The shower hose was inoperable. A small block of rooms on the ground floor should be reserved for handicap guests who cannot use the stairs to evacuate in an emergency.

The staff was very nice and the hotel was really clean. I liked that they had Dove soap instead of the usual cheap hotel stuff. It made the stay feel nicer.

Shower was not very clean and had mold. We also lost power in our room.

Location is perfect

I’ve not ever stayed at Avid Hotels before but was enticed by the newness of it and its very economical price. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the hotel. It is so cute and modern with its colorful decor, the lobby is a great space for relaxing or working remotely. Check in was quick and although the front desk staff let us know the tv was broken, the live tv channels were working yay! The room was spacious and had lots of hooks to hang things and two areas to sit and put your shoes as well as hang things up which I liked. Love the Dove brand toiletries too! They also had a black makeup rag which I’ve not seen in a while and makeup wipes AND shoe shine wipes. Breakfast was awesome. I was nervous it’d be basic continental but there were bags of oatmeal with toppings and toppings for yogurt too, lots of different juices and some hot wrapped breakfast sandwiches as well. Coffee is ground fresh each serving at the little coffee bar which also has a still and sparkling water dispenser. Best of all as an IHG rewards member late checkout was at 2. It was a great experience and all the little details went a long way. I will DEFINITELY be staying at Avid Hotels again!

The hotel is clean but for some reason had a horrible smell. It wasn't a constant smell but it was either sewage or they need to change the air conditioner filter. Everything else was great.

It’s a nice property on the outskirts of Midland but the hard floors are loud. I could hear every footstep from the floor above me. Breakfast is good though.

It was nothing over the top but it was affordable, clean, modern, and new! The rooms we not huge but we didn’t stay there to hang out.

I tried to check in 20 min before check in started. I was told, rather rudely, that there wasn't any rooms ready yet. I came back after 3 pm, to check again. I was told again that there weren't any rooms ready yet. I went somewhere else to stay.

The coffee was the best

The customer rep was so confused with the staying of the hotel. Ask manager for help never came out. Had a weird smell and the people around there did not let you sleep. The temperature control was not working right

Check in was wonderful

The hotel was clean and well kept. However, when I arrived to check in, there was no one at the desk. It said “in the laundry, ring bell”. I did. The desk clerk came out looking incredibly annoyed. She was not welcoming, never smiled (although I kept up a smiling and bubbly attitude). That was the only drawback to an otherwise pleasant experience.

This property is not worthy of 9 rating. Does this place create its own reviews? Maybe a 7. I would not have stayed but already booked a non refundable room. I choose this based on reviews.

There was a bad smell on the 3rd floor. They did it was because of the oil field. There was a stench from that smell but this smellsled like a dead rodent. They did offer another room and air feshner. I had to put a towel in front of the door so the smell didn't overtake my room. Otherwise the food was good. The room was

Quirky room setup though functional (European?). No coffee maker in the room. No ice buckets (only one ice machine on 1st floor and use non-insulated plastic pail). Very clean and quiet inside. Outside is a different matter - noisy, dirty oil field environment, must use a maze of roadways to access hotel since some road closures. Not very convenient. Junk food galore on display for purchase. Breakfast surprisingly good. Coffee excellent as was the omelet. Didn't try other selections. Not too far from excellent Mexican food restaurants.

Wrong address for property on listing. Shower was dirty. Beds were very comfortable. Average breakfast. Okay for its purpose of overnight stay on our roadtrip.

Our family was in town for a softball tournament, getting to the hotel was confusing with all the closed off roads, Road getting to parking lot from gas station is horrible with huge potholes. Room was small, no closet or storage space. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was decent. Overall, a good stay. Nothing fancy but we just needed a clean place to sleep for a few nights.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Electricity went out three times and the last time no one came to help turn the breaker on and off. We asked for a late checkout due to the fact we were in darkness trying to get ready and they charged us an extra night saying we didn’t leave till 2pm but left at 11:55pm right before check out at 12pm which we were told was fine. I called hotel and Angelica and Michelle Tid were very unprofessional and hateful towards the situation. I asked for a higher up number to get in contact with them and they refused to give that to me. Save your money and your sanity! Will never be back. Also, mold was growing in the restroom and behind the back of the toilet. Beds were uncomfortable too.

Conveniently located

It’s an overall nice hotel, only downfall was it has a sewer odor throughout the hotel. Not sure if that’s from all the construction around the area. Outside of that nice place to stay for tournaments.

The entrance to get to the actual hotel was not great, but I know this will be better once the entrance that is off the service road, is completed. There also wasn't a lot of parking.

The entire Hotel had sewer problems and smiled pretty bad even during our sleep it smiled. Our TV never work and they wouldn’t give us another room.

The manager Michelle is so amazing and kind. She helped with an issue I was having and solved the problem asap. She explained the entire process in a way anyone could understand. She deserves a raise in my eyes.

Beautiful hotel next to undeveloped land

We travel for work all year… we spend hundred of nights in hotels. We have never had worse service or been treated as poorly by a property. Michelle at the front desk is a flat nightmare, sleep in your car or in a park if you this is the only other option.

The night clerk (11-7) was a jerk, had no clue how to help navigate to the hotel. I called numerous times to let them know I was running late, was having problems. He wanted me to pre check in, when I said no, he hung up on me. Waited 30 min for a room

I actually left the hotel because I could not stand the odor that permeated the hallway and room. The hotel itself was modern, neat, and clean; it was just the location ¿OIL FIELD¿ area that lent to the smells.

Midland is an oilfield town and the motel smelled terrible!!! It may be the smell of money for some but for me it was worse than the smell of sewer. The motel was nice and new but the smell made it terrible!

It didn't feel as clean in person as it looked online. It was okay, I've stayed in nicer hotels for the same price.

I did not like the entrance to the hotel. I came in at night and it was difficult to see the entrance even though there is a sign. There was some stains, it looked like dye on the bathroom walls and ceiling. A few hairs in the shower also.
