Gorgeous view from the balcony! Clean and comfy place, roomy enough not to feel suffocated. It’s right in the Sassi, but close enough to park your car (private parking 5 minutes away by foot, we paid 20 Euros for leaving the car there for two days - Parcheggio Comunale Via Vena). Breakfast is an Italian one, there were sweet pastries, but also plain yogurt, fruits and toast with honey available. No eggs or cold meats. Too bad we only spent one night there! The shower doesn’t drain properly, we had a good bit of water that leaked on the steps leading to the vanity sink.

We made our reservation with Slow Living the day before our stay. We were messaged a few hours later to say they had difficulty with our reservation at Slow Living but they had a place for us at another property, 5 Elementi. My review is not for Slow Living but for 5 Elementi. The room we had was exquisite. I am sure it was an upgrade. We had a lot of space in the room and in the bathroom. The view from our room was truly amazing. We had a terrible time finding it and parking was not close by. If didn’t help that it was raining when we arrived.

The view from the room was fantastic, both from the balcony and also from the window on the other side of the room. The staff was wonderful, especially Graziela, who was so nice to talk with and had such a friendly greeting in the morning. She made me feel very welcome. The breakfasts were a treat, with a hot cappuccino, choice of yogurts and fruit, as well as baked goodies. Although the room was advertised as having a TV, the TV didn't work. When I brought this to the attention of the staff who checked me in (Irene) she indicated that she was unaware of the problem. However, the next day one of the staff told me that the TV had been broken for over a week and that some of the customers were not very happy about it. I would have appreciated being told when I checked in that the TV wasn't working.

This place is ace, can't recommend it highly enough. Top marks in every department. Nothing, can't fault it.

Nice and comfortable right in the middle of the Sassi. Breakfast was within the B&B so no need to go to a nearby cafe and was excellent. The host Irene and the lady that provided breakfast were very friendly and gave us information about the city of Matera. Nice view over the city from the balcony of our room. We plan to visit next year Matera again and will for sure go to this B&B. Thanks for the hospitality. Everything was good.

Amazing location in the sassi, gorgeous view, comfortable space, thoughtful/communicative host. A bit loud at night when people would congregate outside. Can be a tighter fit for tall people.

The apartment was lovely. Matera is like a dream. We enjoyed opening the window in the early morning and looking out over the Sasi! Amazing In the evening the locals (teenagers) hang out right below our apartment and party. It could be loud.

Good facilities: Needed more chairs, a kettle and cups, and some more love and care

Beatiful room, perfect location. Breakfast wasn’t very good, no ham or any warm food.

Excellent value for money in a fantastic location. Breakfast was good, good advice given for parking and where to visit. Would definitely go back. Wish I had requested self check in from the start in order to avoid back and forth messaging about the arrival time
