Sarah at the front desk was very helpful. She had our car service pick us up at the Hotel instead of us meeting him 10 minutes away. Carrying all of our luggage would have been difficult.

A truly special stay at Le Malve Cave Retreat. What stood out the most was the kindness of the staff, always attentive and willing to help, which made a real difference throughout our visit. Staying in a place with the typical cave features was a unique experience that immediately connects you to the essence of Matera. The room design is beautifully done: it respects the original stone architecture while offering all the modern comforts you would expect. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Matera in an authentic way. On a personal note, the only thing I didn’t love was the glass partition between the bathroom and the bedroom, which takes away a bit of privacy. It’s a stylistic choice that suits the design, but something to keep in mind depending on who you are traveling with.

This place was really cool! It was so clean and so comfortable. Unfortunately, we were only there one night. Wish we could have stayed longer! Nothing.

Centrally located. Staff very nice and helpful. Breakfast included. Room we received was extremely basic. After seeing all the pictures online, we had high expectations. So disappointed. Room was very standard. Nothing like all other rooms. Price was extremely high for what we got. We had 2 small suitcases. One we placed in top of set of drawers. The 2nd small suitcase we ended up putting over the fridge in the room. They could have supplied us with a luggage rack. Bathroom is 2 steps up/down. Not so safe, especially in the dark.

The location was central to restaurants and easy to view the sights of Matera. The staff were very helpful in securing dinner reservations and a city walking tour. Breakfast was very good. If I had to be picky, not much room for luggage.

We loved that both our rooms had a balcony with amazing views of the city! They were very spacious and comfortable, and the hotel staff adapted to our needs exceptionally. The breakfast was very complete, and the space it was held at was beautiful! It is located right in the middle of the town!

Exceptional stay!

Nothing, the only thing is that there are stairs that are slippery by the entrance, you just need to be very careful walking so as not to fall

A word to the wise....That the navetta or pre order the transportation from/to your parking garage. You and your legs will thank me later.
