Service is not that good

The location is close to a grocery store along with multitude of restaurants, convenience stores and the main roads. Train station is 5 mins away by taxi. I wish it was closer to the Medina to explore the souks. You’d need a taxi unless you enjoy walking a little under an hour. The rooms were the right size as they were for sleeping - not hanging out! Beds and pillows are harder than I prefer. Great cleaning staff. Reception was warm and hospitable for the most part. Guards at the door were absolutely polite and respectful. Location was great but a bit too far from the Medina. Reception was welcoming with one off interaction that wasn’t helpful when asking for directions.

Attitude of some staff disappointing

the staff was amazing! very friendly and helpful. everyone from the doorman (OmarZine) to the front desk staff, and cleaning staff (Zahara) were happy to share about the neighborhood as well as life experinces. The rooms were small from an American perspective, but the central location of the hotel, paired with amazing staff made it a great experience. Having a bar, nightclub, convienence store, and restraunts on the same block made it a great place to start our trip.

I had a wonderful 4 day stay at the Oudaya in Gueliz. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. I especially enjoyed the pool and convenience to shops and restaurants.

The check in man Old, smelly, terrible hotel nothing like the Booking.com website info.

Overall I’m happy with my stay. It offers great value for money, with clean rooms and a good location outside the busy Medina. It’s easy to catch day trips, arrive late from the airport, or walk to the train station which is about 500 meters away. Breakfast was basic but fine. The real highlight of the stay was the cleaning lady, Zahra, honestly the best I’ve seen anywhere. Every day she decorated the room in a different creative way with towels, fixed small details, and was always friendly and warm. The facilities are quite old and not so well maintained. The staff were polite and helpful but a bit distant. By the way there are limited spa facilities but all charged extra and rather higher priced.

Nothing. It is too bad. 1st they gave us a room which had constant noise coming in from a loose door on the terrace as the wind was blowing. upon asking that we only checked in late at night to be able to sleep, they moved us to another room which had disgusting sewage smell Bugs in the room. Cracked old walls and furniture. Too dirty. Bad sewage smell in the toilet coming till room. We had to flush atleast 20 times for the poop to be flushed. We did not take shower also as the smell was unbearable. Such hotels should be banned from booking.com

I was coming to Marrakech after a very busy summer of work and was looking forward to resting and relaxing and I had a great opportunity to that at Hotel Oudaya. It is a nice hotel with a good complimentary breakfast, comfortable beds, and clean rooms and public spaces. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In particular I want to mention, Nezha, the housekeeper that cleaned my room. Nezha, was wonderful and kind and made sure my room was cleaned and had fresh towels everyday. Overall I was happy with the facilities, but a work out room would be nice

Good value for the price

We booked this hotel to have a room for an elderly lady to rest for a few hours during the day, as we were headed to the airport by 6 pm. We called the night before but the person at reception was rude. We arrived to the hotel at 12-13pm and asked for early check-in. They said no which is fine. They said check-in by 3 pm. We left and came back after 3 pm. There was a long line of people waiting to be checked in. They finally gave us the key to the room by 5 pm after almost 2 hours of waiting with an elderly lady. She used the room for just 1 hour to rest before leaving to the airport and the bathroom was broken. If we had known we would have just paid for the VIP lounge at the airport.

Spacious room. Beautiful hotel. Wonderful breakfast. Low lighting in room. TV had no watchable channels. Few towels.

Location The hotel aspect of the stay was lovely. The spa and Hammam (first one ever) was disappointing. When we came into the spa, the girls working seemed disappointed that they had customers. The mat that we laid on for the Hammam smelled as if it wasn’t cleaned between sessions, and while we laid and waited, the pool music was loud and distracting and the workers were watching videos outside the room loudly, when we were escorted into the room for massage, we were left on the tables for over 10 minutes naked in the cold ac, and about 5 minutes into waiting, music was put on that started with a jarring commercial, commercials would interrupt the music every 15 minutes, and when the girls came into the room to massage us, they talked loudly for the first portion of the massage to each other. All in all it felt like they were just going through the motions and like we were doing them a disservice by being there. Unfortunately, I do not recommend and won’t be back.
