There was a weird black mildew in between the sheets and blanket. So yea that was the last time I will be staying here unfortunately.

Staff was horrible with the exception of the 2 younger ladies, all rooms had roaches, washer didn't work, ice machine didn't work, stayed for 2 weeks in 3 different suites, never had room service, receptionist with the short hair threatened to call cops because we left trash outside in the hall so they can take it out since they never cleaned our rooms (after they told us to put it out there) kitchenette stoves dont work, and the jacuzzi didn't work.

First room they gave me smelled like a spit cup, 2nd rooms ac barely worked.

Room had rusty appliances and grany tub floor and needs to be remodeled. But other than that it was clean and staff was very nice.

They didn't provide enough towels/linens for the sofabed. We stayed 2 nights and trash was not removed and towels were not refreshed. The bathtub has weird peeling. It just felt gross.

There was mold on two of the bagels. 9am is a little early to stop breakfast in my opinion also. Rooms were very humid.

Saw several roaches our first night and could not use tv as our remote needed batteries. I don’t believe our sheets were changed before arriving and don’t believe our room was cleaned either. Was grateful for extra set of batteries for tv, without tv working the stay would not have been worth it. Was also grateful room had mini kitchen. Mini kitchen did come with silverware and basic cookware, also came with sponge (was used several times before our stay, smelled awful) and dish dawn soap. Took a quick trip up to the H‑E‑B and bought plastic silverware and plates + our own bottle of soap and pack of sponges. Luckily brought reusable cups and bowls with us. Our review could have easily had more stars if the cleanliness of the hotel was better kept up with. It was unfortunately our deciding factor in negative review, would not come back or recommend anyone else to stay here.

Not enough lighting in rooms. No lighting in living area. There was a desk, but no light. Could not do any work or reading because a lack of light. Trash baskets too small.

It was comfortable but we traveling and we got in late so we slept a little bit late with 15 minutes late for breakfast the lady was still down there in the breakfast room one didn't finish cleaning up yet and asked if we can make waffles and she said no so I mean I paid $150 for a room and you won't let me make a waffle and you're standing right there kind of ridiculous Not really anything other than what it was comfortable but I will never stay here again because of the way I was treated at breakfast time

The room has a strong moldy smell. The sheets were damp from the humidity in the room. The room key didn’t work. It took two trips down to the desk to get someone to fix the door.

The ac was cold The a/c dripped water on the floor and the room smelled like mold. There were also obvious spots from water damage on the roof. all the bed sheets and pillows were slightly wet due to the humidity from all the water. The tub had the coating peeling off and had water sitting in it when we arrived. there was only one light in the room in the roof the rest of the room had to be lit by 2 small lamps. The pillows also were tiny and not comfortable very lumpy. Breakfast was sparse don't rely on the free breakfast. The coffee and juice were good tho. Also they double charged me because booking.com charged me and the hotel didn't even check and charged me again.

There wasn’t much to like! We get there for a later check in just to find out no one cleaned our room. They brushed it off that there was a new maid and that was the issue. Come to find out many people had this happen to them during our stay. When we also check in we are informed that the power went out that “morning” and made the elevator go out. Supposedly the owner didn’t want to “pay for an over night fee” to get the elevator back on. Well yours truly had to lug everything up the stairs to the 3rd floor for a family of four. They should have had plenty of time to get it serviced before that evening. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and tried her best and I commend Steph for trying! She eventually came and made our beds at 9pm when we got back from eating dinner. That was really inconvenient for a family with littles. You could tell upon arrival that nothing had been cleaned or restocked. Steph said house keeping would be by around 8. We leave and go on our day the next morning thinking our room is going to be cleaned. Well we thought wrong. We get back that evening to discover nothing had been touched once again. So I ended up running into the manager down stairs and notified him of the issue and wondered if we were ever going to get a clean room during our stay bc apparently they don’t clean but every 3 days so when we would be leaving. He got us on the list to be cleaned the next morning. The guy shows up and starts cleaning around 7am when we’r eating in pj’s.

The property charged me an extra 15 dollars on my card after check out. They didn’t send a receipt the first time or one for the charge. I called four different times and everyone kept me in a circle. I finally had my bank dispute and refund me. Bathroom ceiling was molded

Room was dirty in general. Staff and rules were rude not providing extra towels when we asked (only 2 bath towels per room allowed) or pillows for the sofa bed. We had to reuse wet dirty towels for a family of four staying for two nights in a suite.

I liked the size of the rooms and the comfortable beds. Holly was amazing!! She was so helpful our last night there. She tired to get them to come fix the hot tub and hot water issue. I really enjoyed talking to her. Thank you so much for the tacos! She goes out of her way to help. This place needs more Holly’s. The breakfast wasn’t that good. They would run out of things quickly. If you came down close to 9 am the breakfast workers would not bring out anymore to fill up the items that were empty like sausage, waffle mix and eggs. Breakfast was shut down early. People came down after me to get some breakfast and they didn’t acknowledge the people trying to get breakfast nor did they bring anything else out to serve them breakfast. It’s a shame to say there is free breakfast with your stay which was not the case. You had to be down there by 6 am if you wish to eat breakfast. Also what the menu shows is not what is served. Last to days of our stay there was no hot water. The last night of our stay wanted to get in the hot tub it would not heat and had a foul odor. Maintenance was called but never showed for the hot water problem or the hot tub. If you get room #303 the refrigerator does not work, doesn’t cool and the cooktop does not work. You will have to use a hot plate to cook you food.

The room smelt funky, like someone smoked in the room prior. The carpet by the front room ac unit was always wet, the toilet paper holder was broken upon entering and they left an already used toilet paper roll on it. The ac in the bedroom wouldn’t go below 73 unless you had the front room ac lower than 70 to help bring the whole temperature down. There was only one tv remote and it took constant switching on the devices for it to work. Had to ask for extra towels since there was only one given. No sheets provided for the pull out couch. The lady on the first night was really nice and sweet but the next night, Saturday a different girl working there was not friendly at all, she looked like she didn’t want to be there.

I stayed on 4th floor and they had moisture issues. They had a dehumidifier on that floor. I informed front desk daily that it was full and needed water emptying. Everyday I mentioned it but wound up emptying myself. The pool was to open w@10 but had to go to front desk to unlock . She opened gate but never came with towels. Overall they seemed short handed

The day I arrived they warned me that there was a leak where the window was at, but they didn’t tell me that it would stink. I had a double queen bed. I asked to change rooms but they did not have anymore so they gave me one room with one king size bed. That room was much nicer and it smelled clean.

Stayed here on two separate occasions, the staff has always been incredibly kind and accommodating. The breakfast was always really good and filling with many different options. Rooms were comfortable and they were always willing to fix any problems that occurred while we were there!

The stove top was broken.The TV remote so didn't work.You had to change it by going up to the box. The shower head was leaking. They told me they couldn't do a lat check out then another lady gave me an extra thirty minutes. They ran out of food at 8.So I couldnt even get breakfast here.

We went for a quick high school graduation event. The hotel was less than 10 minutes away. We were totally surprised to have a 2 burner kitchenette with a full sized fridge. We are so used to the tiny microwave/fridge/ironing board combo (really just the tiny fridge-LOL). The sitting area in the room was nice with 2 comfy recliners (that we didn't know were recliners until we checked out-but still comfy). We were really close to some fast food places like Dairy Queen, Whataburger, Pizza Hut and Dominos (we didn't get anything from them). There was also a supermarket (HEb) almost walking distance away. We also noticed a liquor store pretty close (not our cup of tea, but others might want their products for their "tea"). We did get to go food from Blackbeard's Too. This place was AMAZING with blackened mahi mahi and great burgers (live music on the weekends). It was almost next door to the hotel, but was kind of easy/hard to get to because there's not a direct road since the property has train tracks separating it from the restaurant. But, if you leave the hotel and turn left, go to Main Street and make another left and then turn left on West Main Street, you'll get there. When you leave Blackbeard's Too to go back to the hotel, turn left and continue on West Main until you get to the railroad crossing with Highway 361 and then make a right, you'll be heading back to the Best Western. They also have an EV car charging station (we don't have an EV, but others might want to know.

The room was spacious and overall looked clean. We checked in pretty late but because we were so tired, i didn't notice that the restroom was not clean. The hand bar soap was opened and used and the there was not enough towels in the room. There door hinge was off so we had to slam the door hard to get it to close.

My opinion not cleaned enough! Carpet stains on every floor. Only one of four ice machines working and that was on the second floor. Ants in the kitchenette. T.V. remote barely worked.( would not turn TV on or off) Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Will not be staying there again.

The first room we were given, the door did not lock, all you literally had to do was push the door open, no need to swipe a key. This was obviously a safety issue! We immediately wanted to leave but were already running late for our son’s tournament . So I went downstairs and informed the front desk, she came up and saw the problem and had to give us another room, however, it was not the same type that we had reserved, but was doable since we had small children with us. She was helpful! The carpet floors throughout the hotel were filthy. You could see the stains walking down the hall. My daughter’s socks were black in just a few short moments from the floor in the room that appeared cleaner. Had to put shoes on to walk around the room. In the bathroom you could tell there had been a leak in two places, and while it wasn’t actively leaking, you could still see the tear in the sheet rock and the water stains. There was a crack in the floor that had been filed with idk what, but my son thought it was soap and I told him it wasn’t. (looked like a patch job gone wrong) The tub needed to be replaced as the paint was coming off and there were stains. There was a cabinet door missing from the kitchenette area. The bed was ok, but I wasn’t really comfortable sleeping in it and therefore didn’t sleep well. I didn’t want to think about the things that may be wrong with that bed or linen. Overall, I’d say the continental breakfast was the best part of the stay.

For the price the room was average. Although the hotel and room was clean, having to wait for long periods until someone was available at the front desk was frustrating. The front desk was always empty because they were busy doing other jobs around the hotel.

We stayed from Friday - Tuesday and the room was never cleaned. It wasnt until Monday that they finally came andncleaned it. When we checked in the reservation was fro 2 adults and 3 children. We were only provided 2 towels. When I went to ask for more towels, Inwas told there werent anymore.

Staff did not clean our room at all during our three night stay. There was rust in the bathtub and mold in the sink.

The only thing good about these rooms is the fact that they have good AC it had a strange smell along with no hot plate in the room originally had to wait three hours for one to be brought to me. They had no silverware and lack of pots and pans. We only had one remote that worked for both TVs, but would not change channels on either was only good for turning on the TV. Will not be staying here again due to the fact that the staff was unwilling to get me a hot plate in a convenient amount of time and that they are lacking on their supplies for the room. elevator was also extremely creepy and creaky.

I think we had gymnasts in the room above us after we told the employee at the desk not to stick us under the family of 6 that just checked in. Breakfast was 2 choices, waffles or what they put out; biscuits and gravy one day or some kind of eggs and potatoes the next. They did have extremely small yogurts but no fruit or cereal.

Overall nice stay. Easy place to book and friendly place to stay. They just need to check all their equipment more often. They need to update tv remotes way before you can't read the buttons anymore and that the top is all peeling off. Make sure to check fridge and freezer to see if both are cooling. Front desk did take these suggestions and were going to address them......but they should habe already been checked beforehand is all.

1. The room did not have a desk, we were brought an end table as a replacement. The pictures on Expedia do not accurately depict what the rooms actually look like. 2. The tv was not working, no channels, no ability to use Netflix. I asked if it was just my room but never got a reply. 3. By far the biggest issue was several nails sticking up where the carpet and floor meet, this is a big problem and an extreme hazard to any guest staying in that room. 4. I informed management about it via email and they said they would address my issues but crickets. It’s a LaQuinta literally next door my recommendation would be to give them a try and pick this place as a last resort

The staff were super friendly and hard working. Highly recommend this place. Was a very safe area well lit parking lot. The breakfast in the morning was great very clean! We stay here always when in area.

Unfortunately the only disappointment we had was the breakfast, everything else was good.

Great size room. Air conditioner in living room area did not work. Staff was not friendly. Hardly talked. No welcome, no thank you, nothing. Were there 2 days, no change. Same person an she just had a frown on her face and was not friendly.

Area of improvement could be the free breakfast. The eggs were overcooked and sausages very dry.

We got a room for the night, when we walked in it was warm and humid. Realized the ac wasn't working. I went back down and the lady at the counter wasvery nice and apologized told her no biggie stuff happens she gave us another room a couple of doors down so we wouldn't have to move our stuff that far by far the best customer service we have had and there is ample parking for truck and boat trailers this hotel has always been very accommodating for us great place

We have called ahead of time to request bedding for the pull out sofa when we got into the room there was no bedding. We came down to ask for bedding and again she was not at the front desk so we called and she said that she would bring it up to the room. We left the hotel for several hours and when we came back that evening there was no bedding still for the pull out sofa. We called again and she said she would bring it right up. About an hour later she brought up only sheets. We made do for the night and the next morning she was still there we requested a blanket and pillows. She brought up one pillow. She seemed very annoyed with every request. This made for two uncomfortable nights especially for my daughter who had no pillow or blanket the first night and no blanket the second night. The rest of the staff was pleasant.

Staff was very helpful. House keeping could have been a little better.

This hotel had an empty front desk most of the evening. When the lady came to check is in she seemed to bothered because she was doing something else on her phone in the dinning area. No customer service skills and was not very friendly at all. The room was freezing and our TV control did not work. We went down to front desk for assistance and if course she was not there again. Completely empty lobby. A terrorist could of walked in with guns and no one would be there to protect the guest. There has to be done. Action needs to be taken. I have stayed at this hotel many times. I will not go back.

I got there late at night and the guy was very nice and helpful. Had a King suite and it was very nice, had a kitchenett, everything was very clean and room was BIG. It had a seperate living room from bedroom with a big screen tv in each. Stayed for 2 nights very quiet, no problems at all. Holly the manager is Awesome great customer service. OVERALL EXCELLENT STAY!
