    This was the dirtiest place we have EVER stayed at and we travel year round. This was a last minute booking we needed to stay in Houston another night and I would have rather slept in my car. It was FILTHY and STINKY!!! The elevator took forever and was not in good condition. The rooms and hallways smelled so bad like dog pee!!!! The rooms are divided by old doors and someone on the other side of my door kept messing with the lock and door on their side making us feel extremely unsafe! I had to pile some suitcases in front of that door to finally fall asleep! It was also sooo loud all night long. Terrible environment. Terrible smell, sickening rooms that are NOT cleaned properly at all!!!! The smell of the entire hotel was filth and dog pee! I never leave reviews but I felt like I had to on this one. If you have a family like I do with kids, stay clear of this hotel. Also, there’s a sign at the front desk that they can charge you $250 deposit per night.

    The guy on the night shift - Sal - needs some help with his personality. When I checked in I waited over 10 minutes for someone to make it to the front desk. The breakfast on the second day looked like it was just leftover from the day before 😕 the floor we were on smelled like cigarettes and weed even though there were signs everywhere that said it was a 100% smoke free facility.

    The place says 100% non smoking and our room smelt like cigarettes and ac odor. The sheets had stains on them, random people hair everywhere. Don’t rely on hotel necessities like shampoo, bring your own they give two squirts of shampoo. Spend a few more dollars to get a better hotel, please, the public ppl roaming outside the hotel are not normal… literally have to clutch your purse for safety and hold your keys in a certain way. My experience was not good, not choosing this place ever again. Literally was about to ditch the second night of staying, I really didn’t care if it was paid for already.

    The experience was quite disappointing. The rooms were extremely humid, and upon entering, you were immediately greeted by the bathroom’s sink. I could even feel the springs in the mattress. This place is not recommended for families.

    Decent hotel for the price. Not spectacular, but the breakfast was pretty good and the pool was too. We had a little trouble operating the TV. I think the remote was either low on battery or not fully synched. Microwave & fridge were unplugged when we were given the room, so had to plug them in ourselves. We were able to get early check-in, but needed to call the same morning to find out if it would be available. Nobody was available when we wanted to check out, so we had to wait for a little bit when leaving.

    This is a good option if you need to stay in this area and watching costs and you aren’t concerned with very used furniture/carpets. The staff were very friendly and also helpful. The complimentary hot breakfast was a nice amenity and stayed stocked. The elevator consistently went out, so if you’re unable to take stairs, you would need to call front desk to have it reset. I always love staying with this hotel chain because they are pet friendly.

    Worst stay at a hotel I’ve ever experienced. Rooms were unbelievably dirty from questionable stains on the bed and carpet, garbage left from the previous person, stains on towels, bathroom door didn’t close, blinds didn’t close and we were in a room between 2 yappy dogs that wouldn’t stop barking even after making a complaint. Tried to enjoy the pool but no towels and dirty pool (bugs and trash in and around pool). The breakfast looked old and dry. Will never stay at a LaQuinta hotel again! It was so bad we ended up checking out early.

    This is the second time I stayed at this hotel, the first time there was a fight at 3am, I called front desk and they never answered. The facility stinks, smells like tobacco mix with an unpleasant smell. I only stayed due to being close to a concert I will never stay there again. Smells, no shampoo in my room, breakfast limited.

    When I arrived at the La Quinta hotel to check in, the room I reserved was unavailable so I was given a room with a smaller bed. There was also roaches and bugs in the room and the tv did not work. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room and the attendant was being rude and did not want to give me a different room until I informed him that I was calling the La Quinta customer service line to tell them about my experience. I do not recommend going to this hotel.

    Ghetto! I’ve stayed at many La Quinta, and this by far was the worst one. Weed smell, reeked through the hallways. People are clearly living here full-time. Shading individuals roaming the parking lot at all hours. Somebody was sleeping in the parking lot in a vehicle. Super loud highway sounds all night. Breakfast ended at 9 o’clock and it was closed at 8:45am. Rude staff at front desk. I would never stay here again.

    You pay for what you get. Property claims to be smoke free but there was definitely a smoke smell throughout. Location did not seem safe. Lots of questionable activity in the parking lot, lobby, and hallway on third floor. Elevator was very dirty and had buttons that did not function. When I entered my room it had clearly not been cleaned well (pepperoni and sausage on the carpet I’m guessing from a pizza and a half full bottle of Pepsi still in the room). TV did not function (no signal was all that it would show). I will definitely not stay here again and do not recommend it to others. Checked out at 6am even though I didn’t need to leave until around 9am.

    Check-in was terrible. When I walked in, the man at the front desk was on a phone call. He looked up and barely acknowledged me before turning back to his phone call. When he finally hung up, he barely said anything to me. On paperwork, he pointed where I needed to initial and sign, and then didn't bother scooting it towards me. So I had to reach all the way across the counter to get the paperwork myself. He only gave me one room key, knowing there were two of us. After check-in was completed, he didn't tell me anything about the building, like elevator location, breakfast times or other amenities available. I had to ask where the elevator was. The lady I dealt with later (we were there 2 nights) was much more hospitable, but that man was terrible.

    The staff we spoke to were nice but they accidentally told us the wrong room number so we kept trying our room key in the wrong door. Our room looked clean but the bathroom door didn’t lock properly. It did have decent water pressure and the water stayed hot the whole time. The desk chair was broken, the second you sat down it leant backwards. We also killed a cockroach our second night. The pool was open already and pretty nice. We saw staff cleaning it that morning as we left for the day. There was some debris blown in while we were gone but it was still mostly clean when we used it that evening. Breakfast was fine, pretty much what is expected with a continental breakfast. There was staff there cleaning up as people came and went. The WiFi was fast. The TV was weird, we think it was set up for someone with an impairment. The remote only worked at a weird angle. We did get a lot of channels though. The elevator was kinda scary. It creaked when used and lurched when stopping/starting.

    Myself and kids got our key, went to our room, and upon opening our room, a LIVE ROACH was crawling on the door. I went to the front desk and told them what I saw and showed them the video too -- didn't seem very concerned. Gave me a different room on the opposite side of the hall. I checked that room, and there were gnats on the counter, then I found 2 DEAD ROACHES!! I couldn't subject myself and my family to this, so asked for a refund and left. We were very grossed out and again, the front clerk didn't seem to care. I wouldn't recommend this place; you'll likely bring home roaches & pay for an exterminator.

    The neighborhood was terrible! Every Lyft driver told me to stay safe because the area is bad. There was a bug in my room that looked like a roach! The whole place smelled so bad! The room next to mine looked like the door had been broken into. They advertise a stocked little market it there was hardly anything, couldn’t even get a bottle of water. The elevator felt unsafe and made weird noises and the buttons didn’t light up when pushed so you didn’t know if it was coming or not. There wasn’t really any close food places. The front desk person was not friendly at all.

    Room was dirty & infested with roaches. Linen was not clean & when asked to change, more dirty linen was put on the bed. The hotel in general was nasty & had I known before booking I would had chose somewhere else. I had to tough it out but disappointing is an understatement. I have reached out to the GM with my issues via email after speaking with hotel front desk. I hope & pray they will make the necessary changes to improve cleanliness for furture guest.

    First off took forever to get our room, Got charged for a different room after we already had a reservation. Walked into the room with the room key working and there was people in there.     First off, elevator out of order, and hallways reeked of marijuana. The room was clean, but the deadbolt was broken and the safety latch look like it was on his last leg. It honestly looked like they had to break into the room once before from the outside. They didn’t have continental breakfast until 9am or so it says, but staff closes the doors between 8:30 and 8:45. It was different each day but stayed. However, it was an affordable hotel. I guess it’s true you get for what you pay for.

    The evening staff could have been friendlier. I stayed five nights and for some reason I had to get my key card recoded each day due to failures. I also did not get the room I reserved and paid a higher cost for via Expedia. The La Quinta manager said I had to follow up with Expedia for a refund. The elevator was out of order for the entire stay.

    The elevator was broken the entire 5 nights we were there. The hotels is supposed to be completely non-smoking, but people were definitely smoking in their rooms, the smell leeched into the corridor. I mentioned it to staff, but they said they couldn't go check or do anything about it.

    I enjoyed the fact they cleaned our room every day, but the elevator was not working all week that we stayed there. The breakfast was the same every day, biscuit, egg, bacon and sausage. Unfortunately, there was an older gentleman in the front desk that was not very approachable. Other than that the staff was nice. I also didn’t like the fact that our room keys kept getting deactivated every day and we had to go to the front to get them reactivated. Those key cards are very sensitive, it was a drag to reactivated them every day because the elevator wasn’t working. They should really advertise that the elevator isn’t working because it’s hasn’t been fixed for over a month.

    The door lock on my room 233 was very unstable, I had to ensure that it locked all the way after closing the door. Hotel staff needs to be more friendly when checking in, I recommended my cousin to stay there and they did not have a pleasant experience even though I booked a room for 6 days. That is not good. I had to enforce the housekeeper to dump my trash after it sat at my door well after 4hrs

    This was a non-smoking room, but it stunk of smoke. Really poor ventilation, plus the windows could not be opened, air was filled with humidity after a shower that stayed for hours. The carpet was dirty, and in the corner, there was a super-filthy, stained chair. The elevator did not work, and the stairwell smelled of pot. Two stars for okay breakfast and friendly front desk.

    The elevator was out so that made it hard to get to the 3rd floor. Good news it was horrible only when having to take your luggage up and down. Only negative is I didn’t like the shirtless guy in the lobby area, but I guess that is up to the staff to tell them to put on a shirt. Excellent location and right off the highway and easy to find and in the middle of everything. Only about 10 mins from the Galleria Mall.

    Great customer service. They just need to bomb the place for roaches. Ive killed dozens of kid and baby sized roaches and I only stayed 3 nights. They appear to live all throughout the building, they’re IN THE CARPETS, every time you turn the lights on you’ll see 3 or more in any given space of the hotel. Other than the smell of weed and cigarettes throughout the building, our stay was okay. Definitely won’t be staying here again nor recommending.

    My toilet was not working properly, it would backup every 2-3 flushes. I went to ask for a plunger since it was late, the attendant gave me a defective plunger and I had to go back and get another one. She offered me to switch room but she said that they only had a king size and i needed a double bed. There was a light that flashed on and off. I went and reported the toilet and light but the maintenance person never went to fix either. I tried to use the fitness center but it was locked and even though i had my key it wouldn't open. The vending machine was sold out and apparently has been for a while. The hotel states it is non smoking but the halls reek of cigarette. I had roaches in the bathroom and coming from the hallway. The elevator sounds like it is not very reliable. It doesnt even show the floor numbers inside.

    The most unpleasant place to stay. There’s a very distinct smell, air conditioner, smells moldy, and the clean people will leave all the rooms open on your door while they’re prepared to clean even though nobody is in there, leaving your room, open and exposed to anybody that’s walking through.     The staff was super friendly. The front desk lady was great got us exactly what we needed. Bottom floor close to the door. My momma is a cancer patient and disabled so we didn’t have far to walk. The hospital was only a couple blocks so no excessive travel or stress

    There were kids running the halls all night and they pulled the fire alarm at 330 in the morning. The mattresses were moldy under the sheets but no bugs were found thankfully. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. We really enjoyed the pool.

    I was told this was a non-smoking hotel, but from the moment I arrived, the walkways and the room assigned to me reeked of cigarette smoke. I’m allergic to smoke, and I had my two young children with me—one 7 months old and the other 2 years old—so this was a serious concern for our health and comfort. By the time I woke up in the morning, all of our clothes smelled strongly of smoke. I brought this issue to the attention of the front desk, but instead of offering a solution or even an apology, the staff simply handed me a card with a phone number to call if I had any complaints. I deeply regret staying at this hotel. It was an uncomfortable and disappointing experience, and I would not recommend it to anyone—especially families or anyone with smoke sensitivities.

    When we checked in, we were told that our room was on the second floor but elevator was broken. We are elderly people and have health issues. They then gave us a room on the first floor. When we walked in it smelled so very bad. The AC was not working properly and after we got our c-paps set up and got ready for bed, we saw a roach running near the bathroom. It was too late to start changing rooms . If we would have had to stay another night in Houston, we would have found another hotel.

    The elevator did not work when we got there, we did ask for a floor room but they only had queen beds. We didn't mind but when we walked in the bed was a full size and had to get a room on the second floor. This is normally the Hotel we stay at when we go into Houston for games/activities but I will be looking else where from now on

    upon arrival and after checking in , was told the elevators were not working and gentleman looked upset at answering questions to other guests. had driven 400 miles and need to rest, yet the place was a smoking marijuana dump, smoking definitely allowed and no security to enforce. the carpets on the stairs and hallways very dirty. WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN. OR RECOMEND TO ANYONE.

    8 hour drive, looking forward to the stay. Showed up elevators didn’t work, that was understandable. Got to the room, tv did not work. I was told if it could not be fixed that we could switch rooms. That wasn’t that big of a deal. Then while getting ready the next morning I found a small amount marijuana in my room. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and manager. Keep in mind, this was a trip with my son. After speaking to the manager about the situation, I was told that I could no longer switch rooms because of the Beyoncé and Drake concert. Multiple complaints from other guests made it that much more uncomfortable. Overall, we made the best of our trip disregard our hotel experience.

    My review is based on my personal opinion and likes. When arriving at the hotel and walking in the front door, I immediately knew this was not a place for me. The smell was stuffy and not fresh, and it did not have a well-kept appearance from a maintenance standpoint. When the front desk representative informed me that the elevators were down, I knew I was in trouble. Luckily, I always like to take the steps in hotels. When I went to the stairwell, the steps had not been cleaned in years. The steps were carpeted, and the stains and the smell were strong. But I got up to my floor. The smell intensified, and I noticed the carpet baseboards were beat up, with dirt, etc. But I open the door to my room. My sink area was to my immediate left, which was still residue of some red makeup or juice steel on the sink in the restroom toilets, which was not clean, and a few small particles on the shower wall. I also noticed from a maintenance standpoint, a lot of caulking, missing grout, missing busted up floor, and again, that was a stuffy smell. I understand I chose the hotel because of the lower price, parking, and, more importantly, how close it was to my destination. In the future, I will choose a hotel that meets more of my standards. When I checked out on Thursday morning, the staff had cleaned up breakfast, but I couldn’t smell any food. All I could smell was that stuffiness. In closing, the staff was very friendly.

    This location was clean outside. The inside lobby and stairs had a funky smell. The elevators were broken and we were on the 3rd floor. That was the lowest floor they could offer us. When we got onto the 3rd floor it had a strong smoke smell even through the hotel has a sign saying there 100% smoke free. Luckily our room did not smell like smoke. The room was fairly clean with a lot of huge red stains on the carpet.

    When we arrived, staff seemed friendly, but I only spoke to them to check in. I dropped off my stuff and was informed we couldn't use the elevator anymore because there was no one to fix it. (Mind I was on the 4th floor with a 10month old). I went out and when I got back there was a strong smoke smell in the bathroom, and I obviously couldn't shower my baby in there. I immediatelly called the front desk to change my room, all I got was "we can't give you another room because we are fully booked", I asked for the refund amd they said they couldn't do that either.

    When I checked in, I was greeted by Raven who apologized and informed me that the elevator was not working. I was bummed but at least I was given Room 231 on the 2nd floor. Using the stairwell closest to the office, I noticed that someone had folded a cardboard to keep the outside door open to anyone without a key. When I got to my room, I immediately called the front and informed them of this security issue. They said they would take care of it, but when I used the stairwell, the cardboard was always there. So, I NEVER felt safe! After reporting the door, I pulled back my bed sheets and noticed the sheets were dirty. I called down again to have Housekeeping remedy the situation. While I was waiting, I sat down in the desk chair and it pivoted back where I almost fell backward. After praying and taking several deep, cleansing, calming breaths, I asked Housekeeping to replace the chair and they did. The only positive to this disastrous hotel stay was that the bed and pillows were comfortable. I only stayed at this La Quinta because I thought it was updated, but the exterior was just a mirage for the interior was grossly lacking.

    When we got there they told us the elevator was broken so we had to haul our luggage up three flights of stairs! Our truck was broken into in the parking lot! Window smashed glass everywhere! Save yourself the trouble and pick another place to stay or plan for an extra $300 to repair it.
