Reviews
The hotel is undergoing renovations, which has caused some inconveniences such as parking issues and unclean bathrooms. However, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the location is convenient to restaurants. Breakfast standards are below expectations for a Holiday Inn Express.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Convenient location
- Parking garage hassle due to construction
- Unclean bathrooms and lack of shower amenities

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was cool and comfortable, the price was very reasonable in a great area of town! Will stay here again!

This hotel is very ran down. It needs a good remodeling. Tile is comming off or loose in the bathroom. The rooms were fairly clean but it just felt yucky since everything was very worn.
- 3/5
The hotel and the room were ok, the wireless internet was awful.. I couldn’t even browse the internet, let alone send email or have a work meeting.

Location to shopping and food was great. Staff was ill prepared to handle a check in at the expected check in time. The breakfast was poorly supplied.

Grat location! Close to stores. Cute swimming pool! Great with summer coming. People that work here lovey! First time I traveled slo. Felt save in hotel and area! The breakfast is so lovey! The lady that does it must have OCD it perfet! Front is so kind from moring to night to even if you call down. House keeping everyday I felt like I was one a cruise. Hidden gem for me.

Rooms are very nice. Beds are comfortable. It is right beside plenty of places to eat, and a target is next door as well. I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Good room to spend the night. A super target is very close if needed.
- 4/5
Pretty average stay. Good breakfast and secure parking. Slow to get to room since only one elevator worked.
- 5/5
Parking was fairly easy to access and there were plenty of spots. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. For a quick visit from out of town, this was a great choice if you want to stay in this area.
- 4/5
It was just good. Solid hotel, but breakfast made me sick for 2 days. Otherwise staff and hotel were great.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room and decent breakfast
- 2/5
Was outdated. Elevators not working other making noise. Breakfast meh. Not worth almost $200 a night. Motel 6 for 80$ would of felt the same.

However, I had a connecting room. The door sits over a laminated floor. Every noise the neighbors made came right under the door. The door to the hall was there as a lock. You could see light around the entire door in the frame. You guessed it, every noise and conversation from the hall, you hear. Target, iHop and Saltgrass steak house are all within reasonable walking distance.

Limpio y muy buen desayuno
- 3/5
The “sausage” gravy seemed devoid of any sausage, and was barely warm. The coffee was good.
- 4/5
We had issues with our reservation as they charged my Visa card twice, the manager claimed that the payment did not went through but on my side it show the two different transactions. Not only that they continue to charge my card until my bank locked my card. I offer to pay cash but they declined, as they don’t take cash! Eventually it was resolved and they reversed one of the transactions. It a nice hotel but will probably not stay here again.
- 3/5
Hotel seems dingy and not very clean. Keurig coffee maker in room would not close. Average stay.

Great hotel! NIce grounds, spacious, clean room with nice amenities. Staff very friendly
- 5/5
Friendly helpful staff rooms are very clean. Hotel is clean kitchen and breakfast is always really good. Only complaint this trip. The fire alarm went off at 5:30 and then it went off after about 10 seconds no fire not sure what up but woke up the whole hotel.

- 5/5
They were very nice
- 3/5
Over all, very clean and quick check in but the walls are paper thin and the person next to me was snoring so loud that I couldn't sleep.
- 5/5
It is very clean and they take care of their guests and they really care about the people that stays with them
- 5/5
I've enjoyed my stay there there very clean and caring for their guests
- 4/5
Very clean room. Excellent!
- 5/5
Satisfied.
- 5/5
There were multiple places for shopping and I had no issues with noise
- 1/5
AC didn’t work, toilet dirty, stains on sheets, food was terrible. Will NEVER stay here again and do not recommend it.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
We like everything
- 4/5
Most staff were extremely friendly. Our main issue was housekeeping. 4 of 7 days our room wasn't cleaned and we had to ask for linens, trash emptied etc. When we questioned it, we were told they were short staffed. It seemed like they were prioritizing rooms being cleaned so available for rent, overlooking people who were staying longer.
- 5/5
We enjoyed the stay here. The hotel is close to shopping and various dining options. It is close to major highways but in a quiet neighborhood. The room is clean and the staff is friendly.
- 5/5
Everything was great clean and staff was very friendly communicated. Very convenient area had what we needed when we needed it.
- 5/5
Great stay, convenient location, friendly staff
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Very accommodating. Enjoyed our visit
- 5/5
Would definitely come again!
- 3/5
The breakfast area also was small and lacked enough food to serve the large number of guests being present.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful when confronted with an issue. Promptly handled the situation and offered convenient alternatives.
- 3/5
Property was good but African woman at front desk is very rude and way to aggressive
- 5/5
Very nice facility and staff
- 2/5
air conditioner was loud and on its last leg, ice machines didn't work, luggage cart broken
- 3/5
Issues with housekeeping. They did not make the bed or bring towels but got the trash. Very odd.
- 2/5
The room was not clean. The bed cover had stains. Two of the hand towels did not look laundered. Something bit me while I was sleeping. No breakfast ready at 7 am. Do NOT recommend.
- 5/5
Manager was very nice and courteous
- 1/5
very bad hotel for $200 a night with fire alarm going on at night for no reasons!
- 4/5
Business trip for 3 nights.
- 2/5
But on the bright side as the shower water was starting to warm up, our room ran completely out of hot water, so I was wide awake rinsing my hair and body in bone chilling water. I would have called down, but we had a phone, but it was not attached to anything We informed the desk about the phone and smoke alarm on day one, on day two both issues had not been addressed and on day to is when we found out that they save energy buy not heating a lot of water, so they don't waist power. I think the above is true as I have never not had NO hot water at 9:00 AM in any place inside the US ever.
- 5/5
Nice Staff, close to Venues
- 5/5
Staff was top notch! Was my best stay this week for business so far.
- 3/5
Property was run down. Location was quiet abs clise to good restaurants.
- 4/5
You need more luggage carts. There was only one available for the entire hotel.
- 3/5
My niece bought a tuna pouch as a snack to tide her over night and got food poisoning. We came down for breakfast early and noticed that oatmeal pot was empty and when asked a staff member said the quota had met for the day and no more would be made. We stayed for 2 days on our second day our room was not made up or clean towels replacing used ones
- 2/5
When I stay there, the place was under construction and not pleasant
- 4/5
Yes, they should change the daily menu. I stayed for 5 days and breakfast was the same every day.
- 4/5
It was good. The Xmas train was annoying. It was also annoying the front desk was not staffed at my arrival.
- 5/5
We just needed a get a way for a day. It was very comfortable. Had a great night's sleep!
- 4/5
Our stay was great. Currently (early Oct. 2024) the hotel is undergoing renovations. This didn't really effect our stay. Staff was very friendly, and the hotel was quiet. We would stay here again next year for the same tournament. Also, there is a Super Target almost in the parking lot, an Academy across the street, and many other places including fast food nearby with easy access.
- 2/5
The hotel was very old and dirty. I will not stay here again.
- 2/5
My husband and I traveled to Fort Worth this past weekend and stayed one night at Holiday Inn Express. Upon our arrival , we saw there was construction being done. As we walked towards the back of the hotel where the temporary entrance was, we were stopped by a homeless man who informed us where the entrance was and said since he lives in the parking lot- he sees alot of people going in. We arrived around 430pm so the construction crew was done for the day. There was broken glass everywhere and lots of debris. There were pallets stacked on top of the storage containers and nothing was marked off or had any sort of caution tape or marking for guests protection. Upon entering the hotel- we stopped at the table for check in. The woman working was rude and very unwelcoming. Her tone and sarcasm were disgraceful and unprofessional. For someone working in customer service, she needs serious training on dealing with people. Every response was as if she was annoyed by us. When we got to our room - we noticed the air was not coming out cold. We figured maybe it was due to the construction since the whole property seemed musty and had a mildew smell. Since it was only one night, we dealt with it. Later that evening we went out for dinner and again saw the homeless population in the parking lot. Very unsafe conditions
- 2/5
The property is under renovation. This was NOT clear in the advertisement. The pool is closed and GREEN. broken floor tiles, wallpaper peeling off, door not closing, front entrance of building is blocked. Dog in the next room barked at night forcing us to change rooms. This stay was NOT worth $140.
- 1/5
I did not like the property. It was under construction and took 2 hrs after 3pm to check in.
- 2/5
Air conditioning was Turning on and off all night with very loud noises
- 5/5
The hotel is being remodeled so some areas were "under construction" but the staff works keeping the guests accommodations above par.
- 5/5
Hotel was clean and modern. Property very nice. Parking garage was a bit of a hassle.
- 3/5
Staff was wonderful. Bathroom could have been cleaner.
- 1/5
Not friendly at all in the front. Could see upper management eating in the back while front desk was backed up. Tv was hard to work. Half the channels didn't have service. Guide was not helpful or worked on remote. Back of mini refrigerator was dusty. The microwave on top it is not kid friendly. One wrong move and it can fall. Hotel seem to need some upgrades compared to other hoilday inns ive been to.
- 5/5
Amazing.
- 5/5
Na
- 5/5
The pool was dirty an unuseable. Didn't say anything about it in website,
- 5/5
Even though it was going through renovations it was still a nice property. All the staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff! Hotel is conveniently located and easy to get to. Everything was very clean and neat.
- 1/5
Worst Holiday Inn Express I ever stayed in..the first room given there was a leak in the bathroom wall where everytime you flush the toilet the floor would get wet..they moved me to another room and the doors and some of the furniture had paint splatter everywhere..the ceiling looks like it was leaking at one time and the repair was not done right..horrible rooms..but I was tired and since the bathroom wall wasn't leaking I stayed in it..I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.. Holiday Inn Express should be ashamed to have there name on this establishment.. surely it doesn't represent them well..
- 4/5
Staff was excellent! Liked the breakfast too. Didn’t like the room. It was remodeled, dirty no plug in sink. Bed was not comfortable. Could be better.
- 5/5
A little out dated, but was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
overall i would stay again. The staff was professional and attentive. The room was mostly clean it's just that the hotel is dated and needs refurbishment. I liked how quiet it was.
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good and kept very stocked and cleaned. I would stay there again next time in Fort Worth.
- 3/5
Our room had a terrible musky odor and the bathroom was in poor condition. We were put in a handicap accessible room which we did not request and the bathroom floor appeared to have dirty glue or caulking all over the tile. The caulking around the shower was very messy. The air conditioner in our room was very noisy and rattled really bad when it would kick on. Very disappointing quality for a Holiday Inn.
- 5/5
The only thing I noticed when I walked in the room was a dead black cricket which stayed underneath the bathroom sink. The next day the maid refreshed my room but, didn’t sweep the cricket. I did find a nice young lady maid and she quickly got rid of it. Everything else was wonderful including the staff and breakfast.
- 5/5
No electricity to home. 100°+ outside. Needed a cool place to sleep.
- 4/5
There was only 3 pod of coffee and we each drink two cups. There was only bar of soap for both the sink and bathing. I had to keep move it from one location to another. There were only two bath towels and with my partner having long hair another bath towel was needed. The toilet paper was soo thin that you had to use twice the normal amount.
- 1/5
Very poorly maintained, checking was delayed for an hour late around 4:30 pm, horrible breakfast and rooms had a weird smell
- 2/5
This hotel is filthy not clean at all and looks very old. Not safe ppl walking around coming up to you asking for money walking around our vehicles. The pool wasn't open it was horrible with green nasty algae. Our room tho was clean. Staff friendly
- 2/5
The staff was helpful enough but the room was terrible; tub faucet leaked, tile grout had failed and tiles were loose, wallpaper peeled from humidity and stapled back down with large staples. Room curtains wouldn’t close all of the way. Room furniture was old and outdated (table legs were loose and wobbled).
- 5/5
Brooke our host clerk was very professional and courtrous. She texted me to see if I needed anything which was so nice. Our room was great. The bed comfortable and black out curtains wete perfect. Great stay overall.
- 4/5
we liked that it was centrally located to many food places and that it was clean for the most part. About the only down fall was when first walking into the room and everytime after that was a musky odor. Maybe have a room freshener, or filter in the AC units. We understand in this area and time of year the moisture and humidity is a constant force so the odor was expected just wasn't expecting as pungent an odor.
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay for our visit to Fort Worth!
- 5/5
The staff was absolutely incredible. From maintenance to management every single person was friendly, kind and professional. Thank you for an amazing stay.
- 4/5
Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Staff was nice, it was quiet, and a decent restaurant within walking distance. Price wasn't bad either.
- 5/5
I really liked the staff they were really great at helping me with whatever question I had.
- 3/5
Front office staff not at desk and took a long time to show up. No bell.
- 4/5
Erika was really nice and friendly. She did everything to make my stay comfortable.
- 2/5
I complained, no one responded.
- 3/5
The property is in a good location close to Target and restaurants.
- 2/5
Water faucet in tub would be hot at times and cold at others. Needs fixed! Htg/cooling unit made so much noise when it came on at night we couldn’t sleep. Nothing but sweetened creamers for coffee and some of us are diabetic. Girl at front desk when we checked in was very nice and helpful. We have stayed at this HI so many times but plan to check out other nearby hotels for the future.
- 2/5
This hotel is well below the standard we expected for a Holiday Inn Express.
- 2/5
The handle on toilet had to be held while it tried to flush took a while and handle should be replaced, the toilet ran all the time so might want to fix that as well, Area where prior water damage to ceiling in bathroom was repaired is very noticeable and was not a professional repair. Door to elevator in lobby needs to be repainted as there is a huge scratch on it. The hot water is the shower is dangerously hot. better keep knob more towards cold side or you will get burned, couple of burned-out light bulbs in room. Breakfast buffet was not very good. The best thing on buffet was prepackaged blueberry muffins. The cinnamon rolls in the pictures look great but in reality, they are very hard and dry. worst cinnamon Rolls I ever had
- 2/5
AC to noisy. Cant even sleep
- 1/5
This property is old and rooms are run down with old and even dirty furniture. I didn't want to sit on the coach as it has stains all over it. Super gross! First room we get unpacked and then find the toilet doesn't work. So at night in PJs get moved to another room. Pull back the bed comforter and find hair and a dirty spot. Not clean. Poorly run. Old property. This place hurts the Holiday Inn brand.
- 5/5
The location was great and the staff was very nice. The bathroom was a little run down but otherwise great.
- 1/5
1st room was dirty and bed had blood stains, moved 2nd room found condoms wrap used and room was never done while my stay towels where dirty. Bad experience
- 4/5
It was definitely ok, I enjoyed my stay there!
- 3/5
This hotel needs an refresh. The hallways smell musty and it is ststing to look a little run down inside. The bathtub in my room had no nonslip making it challenging stepping in and out. The bathroom door was leveled correctly and the bottom edge got hung up on the floor when you tried to close it. I stayed there about 3 or 4 years ago and it was in a lot better shape. I normally choose Holiday Inn Expresses in my travels because they are clean and well maintained. I was a little disappointed in this one.
- 1/5
Tile cracked. Wallpaper cracked. Shower curtain wouldn’t close. One SMALL bar of soap. Bed frame stuck out. Wife tripped on it. Worst thing was a roach in the bed. Had to ask for coffee to be made. Ran out of bacon and eggs for breakfast.
- 3/5
The wallpaper in the bathroom was bubbling and ready to peel. The bathroom door was dragging the ground and hard to move. The bath mat was a hand towel. The whole place needs a facelift.
- 3/5
Definitely needs to be updated.
- 5/5
What I thought was going to be a large room/mini-suite turned out to be a two-room suite. Very nice, a TV in each room, mini-fridge, microwave, and small sink.It had the necessary amenities. There are four hotels all together in a small area. I picked this one. It was a last-minute booking, and I don't know if that is why the price was so good, but 106 dollars for a suite sounds very good to me. Close to I-20 and to Hulen Mall, Target, and Costco. Some restaurants in the area.
- 4/5
Good place, glad they had breakfast! Big bonus! Our bathroom floor was cracked and broken loose floor, needs some work but overall good place. Kids enjoyed and gave me thumbs up.
- 3/5
The person who checked us on wasn’t friendly. The floor in the bathroom was basically crumbling under our feet with every step
- 4/5
It is near my daughter's apartment. There is no ledge in the shower to hold soap &/or shampoo. Had to put those items on the floor of the shower. Not handy.
- 1/5
Room condition was horrible. My 4 year old son found an unknown pill bit it and we ended up in the emergency room. After going to the ER they found out it was an antidepressant pill and stayed all night to monitor his heart. We ended up inspecting the hotel room further and found popcorn, trash, cheetos and an avacodo skin on the floor. After notifying the staff of the incident they seemed like they didn't care at all. They also didn't have a manager available, we did leave info to have manager call us. The latch for the door was also broke. We also looked at the reviews on google and it seemed like there were a lot of fake "good" reviews to balance out the bad ones. So this 160 dollar room is going to cost us over 2000 dollars. This is one of the worse hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. We will be trying to contact the corporate office of the incident.
- 4/5
Nice hotel. Ice machine on first floor worked. Limited tv channels, no espn or movies. Impressive breakfast
- 3/5
It's really outdated and the ceramic tile in the restroom was cracked and loose. Also the lady at the front desk wasn't very friendly
- 3/5
This property was in the right location. It’s showing it’s age.
- 5/5
I plan on staying there again next year while we are in town.
- 5/5
Great experience and location!
- 2/5
Nice room, great bed but this poor review is more about the hotel environment for example; at 11 in the evening house keeping was cleaning a room next me. This process was extremely noisy and the guest were standing in the hall having a rather loud conversation. Then again a 3 in the morning some quest returned to their room and rather than proceed into their room they decided to have a loud conversation in the hall. Perhaps this negative experience demonstrates more about an American's lack of awareness and common courtesies.
- 2/5
The cleaning crew did not clean the room at all. We had to hunt them down and ask could they give us towels and take the dirty ones. The trash stayed full never emptied. When asked for towels the staff member made a disrespectful joke stating that only my fiancé could have towels and not his “girl”. The bathtub wouldn’t drain correctly and filled with water while trying to shower. Also there was a roach crawling in the bed, didn’t know if it was a bed bug or roach but either way it was disgusting. We checked out early didn’t even stay the full stay.
- 1/5
Staff is rude asf
- 2/5
The location is good. The room was dirty. The window was letting in a lot of cold air. Was unable to heat the room.
- 1/5
There were roaches in the bathroom and the room wasn’t clean. There’s also no luggage carrier
- 5/5
Friendly Staff and Accomodating
- 3/5
I didn't like that the shower curtain was so dirty and there's booger stick to it... it was gross... Also, it wasn't sound proof that we could here noise from other guestroom
- 2/5
They have bedbugs! The staff was nice about the situation but the bugs are still not ok.
- 5/5
Like-Staff, Location!!!!! Easy free well-lighted parking lot, Dislike-Elevator needs attending, did report my chair in the room was full of dog hair, front desk did apologize and will have it removed before next customer checks in!
