Little run down but staff was friendly.

Check in was very quick and easy. George was very easy to talk to and made you feel right at home during check in. The room was nice size and clean.

1.The swimming pool is completely unclean and infested with insects. I've requested it be cleaned every day, but no one has responded, especially since I have children with me. 2.Breakfast is a recurring feature throughout the 5-day stay.

Our one-night stay at the hotel was very pleasant. The establishment was clean, and the staff members were friendly and accommodating, meeting all our needs. We even purchased snacks from downstairs for our dinner.

Very enjoyable overnight stay. The staff were helpful and friendly, room and property was clean, breakfast was fresh with plenty of options for both hot or cold breakfast dishes. We stayed overnight on a Sunday leaving Monday morning. The only negative I could find is that there is only one elevator. If busy, that could probably become very slow. But everything else was outstanding. If in the area again, I’ll definitely be back.

Clean and comfortable. A little tricky weaving through the gas station to get to the entrance. Convenient to everything. I would book again.

Window privacy blinds did not work; we reported to staff, but they were never fixed. The room had a stale smell.

Best hotel stay in two years!

After staying at the Motel 6 hell, the Holiday Inn Express was actually paradise. Very comfortable bed and soft Linens. The lighting was great. The breakfast was also really good.

It occurs to me that people mostly write reviews when they absolutely love something or are wildly angry. So, I'll weigh in here to fill in the gap. Shut your eyes and imagine a suburban Holiday Inn Express on a busy road. This hotel is exactly what you are picturing. It is clean, quiet, and safe. I liked the pillows. There is a Dairy Queen next door and a really excellent donut shop across the road. The staff is pleasant. Breakfast has hot and cold options, and it's okay! Five minutes after leaving this hotel, there is nothing in particular you will remember about it. However, it was $110 per night, and it absolutely gets the job done.

The front desk changed the price multiple times during my stay. For 6 nights I was quoted different amounts ($840 online, then $1250 at the desk, then about $900). There was no clear explanation of the rate. After checkout, I found multiple charges on my card that do not match my stay. I was correctly charged for the stay (~$1,739 + $253), but there was an additional $959 charge that could not be explained by the staff. This looks like a billing error and lack of control over charges. I had to open a dispute with my bank. Be careful and always ask for a final itemized receipt before leaving.

Wall moulding were peeling and falling off. Corners of the walls had dirt and grime. Well that weekend we had a cheerleader competition and we made a reservation for that reason, so later we have the unexpected freeze and here in Houston we are restricted to take road trips and the company cancelled the competition and we explained that to the manager and they don't give me a refund for that.

Facility was aged but more importantly, we had 2 rooms and both had maintenance issues that were not followed-up on by staff. The bathroom sink handle fell completely off the first time it was used and the other room had a toilet tank issue. After being on hold with the desk for literally 25 minutes, I just figured it out myself. We were there multiple nights and the sink handle in the other room was never fixed or even acknowledged. I fixed the toilet while on hold. We just made it work.

The fridge in the room had a leak and was loud. The breakfast was marginal nothing extra. No hard boiled eggs as an alternate. The pool was littered with tree debris and dirt. The staff was friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable clean.

Room was decent but not what reserved. Check out staff was nice. Check in staff was rude and semi incompetent. Room was not as reserved online. Sofa bed and roll away bed were atrocious. Breakfast was disgusting. Vehicle was broken into and staff refused to call police for a report and they show me the perp on surveillance cameras. I had to do their job for them.

The room was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was hot and fresh. Our room was a suite next to stairs and had people stomping up and down all night long. There were also issues for some guests with their key cards not working and we were told the locks were in the process of being upgraded.

Also, shower head was super high up on the wall, like 3 feet above my head, and water pressure was low, so it was hard to shower and get rinsed.

It was 2 inches from the top of the door frame and drug on the floor. The finishes were poorly done, tile was cut poorly and looked like amateurs did the work. Bathroom was roomy and generally nice, with a home style shower head, that was in dis repair nothing that should ever be in a motel. Summary. I would stay there again, just recognize it is sub par in construction and finishes. I am most amazed Holiday Inn has gotten that sloppy

Pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. No bad if sanitizer smell. Sheets were bright white. Hotel representative was so friendly and helpful ( I wish I had got her name) even working Christmas Day night didn’t change her cheerful attitude and great hospitality!! She’s a huge plus for this hotel!

The location was convenient and our room was excellent. Breakfast was included and offered a nice variety including coffee made with freshly ground beans. We enjoyed the pool - even in mid-November! The staff was friendly and efficient. We'll stay there again!

The beds were soooooo comfortable. And the location was great. There was a convenience store next door and it was close to the HEB Center. The only issue we had was that we had the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door in the morning as we were getting ready to leave and housekeeping not only knocked on the door and then tried to open the door on two different occasions. I found this a little annoying and unprofessional.

The first one we checked into stock so bad when you’re open the door there was a strong odor came out of the room. None of the housekeeper spoke English, so they were unable to understand what I was trying to explain to them. I ended up going back downstairs and talking to the guy that was the receptionist. He was a bit impatient and didn’t seem really to Care gave me another key to another room which smelled just a little bit better, but it’s still stunk. The towels didn’t appear to be very clean. They were a dingy white. I guess the only thing fair about the place was that didn’t charge a deposit which they wouldn’t have deserved anyway with the way the room smelled. They didn’t even provide us enough towels for two people. It’s not a place. I would recommend I wouldn’t stay there again.

Staff, location, breakfast and price! Pool was nice but cold because of the cool front that had come through a day before but our kids still had a blast! Probably one of the cleanest outdoor pools I’ve seen at a hotel! Could hear loud cars from gas station and road near by and every door that closed in the hallway. Not the hotels fault though and we will definitely be staying here every time we come if it’s available. I just suggest bringing a sound spa if you sleep lightly like I do.

Terrible experience. I booked this hotel specifically because they have photos showing a hot tub next to the outdoor pool. When I arrived I saw that these photos must be very out of date because where the hot tub used to be is now filled in with concrete and there is NO hot tub. False advertising. The hotel is much more rundown than the photos let on. The air conditioning unit dripped continuously onto the carpet making the floor wet and created a musty and damp smell in the room. One evening, when returning to the room, my mother and I got into the elevator and the doors closed and the elevator didn't move. We pushed the buttons and nothing happened. The door wouldn't open. We pushed the call button and the woman at the front desk came to assist, but there wasn't much she could do. Fortunately within a few minutes the doors opened on their own but it was a nerve-racking experience and we didn't trust the elevator from that point on. Because of the issue with falsely advertising a hot tub when there is not one on the site - I requested a refund but was denied. Expedia worked with me to try to make a refund happen and an agent that I spoke with said that a manager named Jeremey approved at least one night of our three night stay to be refunded; however, when trying to find out details about when to expend the refund I was told it wasn't going to happen after all. I would urge anyone thinking of booking here to look elsewhere.

The overall condition of this location was ok; however, the a/c had an error on the control panel and was somewhat difficult to control. The worst issue though was the shower. I liken it to taking a shower under a drinking fountain. Not sure I’ll try this location in the future.

I took them to the front desk, not thinking much of it. Later that night, I looked down in the space between the beds and saw a very large toenail clipping. The wallpaper in the bathroom was soiled. I truly couldn't focus on these things or I would have had to leave. We will not return.

The hotel was almost full the first night - I did NOT want a first floor room and was told they were completely booked - I opted to cancel (had purchased the insurance) and magically a second floor room became available. Our room had a huge stain on the floor. There was also the hugest cockroach I’ve ever seen in my life in the bathroom. So for the rest of our stay, we left the bathroom light on so we wouldn’t be startled by another one. Before we could try to kill it had ran up under the sink. Our room had a huge stain on the floor. There was also the hugest cockroach I’ve ever seen in my life in the bathroom. So for the rest of our stay, we left the bathroom light on so we wouldn’t be startled by another one. Before we could try to kill it had ran up under the sink. My husband and I are in town for a wedding. I work in healthcare and had 3 shifts in a row. We are from the Fort Worth area so it took us about 2 1/2 hour drive here. I called to let them know we were still coming and the person I talked to was super nice and reassuring. Upon arrival, the check in process was pleasant, and quick. The shower was better than the shower I would’ve had at our apartment. The best part, the ac was on 65 when we arrived, which is perfect because I like it cold when I sleep. Great experience and highly recommend.

The best part about this hotel was how amazing the staff is. Diana was the sweetest person and took care of me from check in to check out. Also, if you’re looking for a good nights rest, the blackout curtains will make your room DARK! It was the best.

- I work nights and sleep during the day, so I needed to make use of their 1130am checkout. I put the do not disturb sign on the handle. Whelp, 1005, maids attempted to enter the room. Woke me up. What's the point to the 1130 checkout and door handle do not disturb? -the employee kept trying to sell me their club membership. Multiple "no's" and he kept going. Generally, the room was clean and we didn't have other issues.

The complimentary breakfast surpassed my expectation! It wasn't your usual continental breakfast. The staff exhibited both professionalism and genuine concern for our comfort.

Clean and nice. Serivice desk persoal was very nice. But noisey in the morning. Can hear clearly people talking and walikng in the hallway.

Shower was stuck in on position

The cleaning staff spilled water all over my iPad. When I reported it to George at the front desk he said he would report it to the manager. I was never contacted ever again. The walls were paper thin and I could hear normal conversations like they were in my own room. The bathroom door was dented and the pint was scratched. The blinds did not work. The staff did provided no service and everything was nonchalant and uncaring. I highly recommend using any of the much nicer hotels in the area.

Close to the HEB event center for an event i attended. Close to many dining options for a bite to eat for the night! Plenty of stores to grab a quick something in case forgot something or in need of something. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was great. Free breakfast usually sad looking but here it was plentiful and delicious!

The breakfast was ok. The original room assigned had an unpleasant odor, but the staff immediately accommodated us and assigned another room.

Bed, location, front desk staff, breakfast were all good. Housekeeping didn't make bed and didn't wipe up overflow water from shower - dangerous!

The air conditioner didn't work. The phone didn't work, but the staff moved us to another room, it was okay.

The staff at this facility was excellent. The only negative to this property was that the air conditioning was not cooling properly. It is located very conveniently to the HEB Center and there are plenty of places to get coffee or eat nearby.

Her respone: "it's 9am, breakfast ends at 0930." Me: yes, but thats 30 minutes from now. Her: we don't put out any more food after 9am Me: you've no milk, no cereal, no scrambled eggs, no cinnamon rolls. Only things left are sad bread for toast and egg dish w/peppers that I'm allergic to. Her: i won't be putting out more. Me: death glare and an immediate decision to check out despite having decided to stay a 3rd night. WHY are Breakfast hours till 0930 but too bad, so sad if food runs out at 0900! They aren't making more!! This to a hotel fill of local refugees whose homes had no power. We bought a generator instead and stayed at home. No power for NINE DAYS. They could have had us for at least 5 of those days were it not for the Breakfast server. Beds fine, room clean. Supposed to be a handicap room, but it wasn't.
