This is a very simple hotel but I did not lack anything. Everything was very clean. The room was large with a regular side fridge and small burners. The staff is super nice! Right on I35.

The rooms were well-equipped and comfortable. The picnic table area wasn't really set up. There was dirt and slight trash under the couches and in nooks and crannies.

I stayed in a suite, the bed was comfortable. Kitchen and living room area were fully equipped. As soon as I arrived, I checked the room. I noticed trash in the dining trash can, one of the glasses was still dirty and they had forgotten to put var soap. Everything else was in places The room had no AC, so would need to leave the door open so air could come on from the living room. Bathtub was repainted. Wifi signal kept going down. TV signal would work for a few minutes then it would go down. I did asked the front desk about the wifi signal and I was tols, someone had a complain and they had reset it. However it

I’m not sure how this hotel has an excellent rating. The guests who rated it excellent must really have low standards. My standards are not high, but this this is by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. When we pulled into the parking, we had a feeling it wasn’t going to be an excellent stay. Trash scattered across the parking. After we received our room key on the 3rd floor, the receptionist told us it would be faster to park near the side to get tour room quicker. After moving our car and heading to the elevator, we discovered the elevator was near the front. However, it was out of service, so we had to packed several heavy bags up the front the stairs. As we entered our room, I noticed the aluminum panel at the bottom of the door was hanging out. It could have easily cut my wife’s leg or one of my boy’s legs. The sheets appeared washed, but they had reddish brown stains on the top where pillows would sheets. The stains could’ve been from a nose bleed. When we took showers, the bottom of the tub made a loud noise every time we took a step. There was rust built up on the A/C. WILL NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN!!

Free laundry. Kept getting woken by a herd of elephants in the room above me.

On my very first night staying, there was no ice in our room, because the ice maker in the refrigerator does not work. I was told that if I wanted ice, I had to drive to Walmart.... at 11:30pm. So we did without ice. The next morning, the shower leaked all over the floor and out into the hallway. This is not their fault as it is a shower design for wheelchair use. But I used my towels to clean and wipe up the floor. So afterwards I went to the front desk and asked him if they could change my towels, they told me that I needed to find the housekeeping department and take the towels to them. When I explained that they were soaking wet from cleaning the shower, she said that she would get it taken care of while we were out for a few hours. When we came back, the towels had not been changed and the floor was still damp. When I went to the front desk to ask if they could get me the new towels, they told me that they went to lunch and did not take care of it. So I asked him if they could take care of it. And the lady began speaking in Spanish to the people behind her talking about me. And what if the problem I was causing? And how much I was complaining, and using words that were not appropriate. I think she was totally surprised when I spoke back to her in Spanish and told her that I didn't really care about her attitude, but that I did want my towels changed.

I like how the front desk was trained on not saying my room number out loud. I like that they have a microwave in the unit and dishes to use and a dishwasher. It felt really clean and it was a great quality stay. I felt safe because of the two deadbolt locks inside my unit.

Great rooms, very large and very clean. Wifi never worked, I could have tried to debug with the staff, but wasn't worth the effort. Just had to tether with my phone. The management has a long page of tons and tons of rule and they even put more rules as a special page under everyone's door at night. Of course, the irony is there are so many rules, no one reads them. Just annoying. Apparently every time something bad happens they add a new rule, so you can basically see every bad thing that ever happened by reading their rule list, which is kind of funny. Better to just have 3 or 4 rules people can remember, or even yet, don't allow bad customers to stay there so you don't have to present good customers with a million rules.

The card/payment system was malfunctioning upon my arrival which delayed me settling in for the night after traveling & before business meetings the following morning, television/cable was out for the entire hotel for majority of my stay, and 1 out of 5 washers were working. This was determined after I attempted to use another washers. This required myself and other guests to manually transfer soaking wet clothing. Only one washer was labeled as out of order. Others had dirty standing water in them or would not wash at all. This led to wasted laundry product and time. Although there was a staff member that came into the area to mop up the water that dripped from wet clothing, I still had to go tell another staff member about the machines so that they would be properly labeled preventing others from wasting. Also, the amount listed on my receipt was lower than what I actually paid. That’s concerning and questionable.

Hotel does have WiFi, but my cellular service was faster. Staff was nice. AC was great. Definitely a 3-star average sort of place. Also, I thought it was weird I had to ask for a “do not disturb” sign at the desk.
- 1/5
I arrived around 11:30 PM for a two-night stay and quickly discovered the AC in my room was completely broken. The room was close to 85°F and absolutely unlivable, especially in Texas heat. I had an important interview the next morning and needed to be up at 6 AM, so this was beyond stressful. I called the front desk immediately to request another room. After waiting in the heat for the front desk to contact their supervisor, I was told around 12:30 AM that no other rooms were available. Their only “solution” was that I could check out in the middle of the night—in a city I didn’t know—and get a refund. That is not a reasonable or safe option at that hour. I had no choice but to stay and try to sleep in those conditions. The room was also dirty, with stained carpets and what appeared to be blood drips on the bathroom vanity cabinets. I checked out at 6:30 AM before my interview and booked another hotel for the next night. This was a complete failure in basic hospitality. I would not recommend staying here.

Room a/c took a long time cooling the rooms. No cups for coffee this morning.
- 2/5
The kitchen didn't have any plates, cups, etc. The air conditioning wasn't working very well. Finally, the room was pretty beat up and didn't look nearly as nice as the pictures.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. Full kitchen was very convenient. Room was a good size as well. Definitely will be back
- 2/5
The floors felt dirty enough that we didn’t feel comfortable walking around without shoes, which isn’t a great feeling in a hotel room. It wasn’t the worst stay, but definitely not somewhere we’d choose again unless there were no other options.... even then.... id drive to the next town to find a better option. Disappointing.

No cups to be found. No complimentary coffee at front. Staff was not overly friendly by any means. And sketchy neighborhood.

Overall clean and spacious apartment style room. The only drawbacks are the lack of amenities and not in a walkable area, you’ll have to Uber or drive to access local stores and restaurants. Great value and would stay again next time I’m in Austin!

Staff was phenomenal and the room was very clean. There was ample parking, and the location was extremely convenient. My closet did not have a rack high enough for a long dress, which I had to hang on the door after it was ironed. I informed the front desk. Also, the rate on your site was higher than what I could have gotten had I booked directly with the hotel. #Disappointed

Absolutely top-notch hotel with spot clean suites, amazing and friendly staff, comfortable beds, kitchenette in every suite, quiet (despite being close to the highway), and close from everything in Austin (downtown, UT). Walmart is less than a mile away if you need anything. The hotel went above and beyond their duty to make our stay comfortable, by offering extra bedding for our daughter who stayed with us in our room for a couple of nights. They even provide small appliances (blender, toaster etc.) if you need to cook something special in your room. One of the best hotels I have stayed, when traveling with family. Value for money! Absolutele nothing not to like here.

This is a budget hotel. You get what you pay for and it met expectations. It's a decent value for a place that has easy parking, a kitchenette, etc. I just needed a relatively inexpensive bed for a for a couple nights it was fine. I'd stay again for the price point. Front desk staff has friendly.

Location. there was a $75 deposit the hotel requested on site that I was unaware of. Nothing on booking.com says there would be a deposit. The workers lied and said it was just a. Hold and that the 75 would not be taken from my account. 2 days later I'm still missing the $75 from my account. I would not recommend this place. Called and messaged the property days before the stay and could never get ahold of anyone

The women at the front desk were wonderful—kind and professional—so none of this reflects on them. The problems were with the incidents themselves and how they were handled. 1. False fire alarm + unannounced room entry Around midnight the fire alarm went off and we evacuated, thinking there was a real fire. The next morning, three men knocked and immediately entered our room without waiting for permission, saying they needed to “do a quick check.” They inspected the room, including the toilet, and left without any explanation or apology. It felt invasive and unprofessional. 2. Armed individual on the property On our last night, we saw an unknown man lingering in the foyer. A security guard arrived and told us he had a machete, pointing it out on the ground nearby. While we were speaking with her, the man suddenly exited the building and fast-walked toward us. Fearing he was going for the machete, we ran to our car. Police and paramedics later took him into custody. Overall, the stay did not meet basic expectations for safety or peace of mind. The women at the front desk were great, but we would not stay here again. I also contacted Sonesta multiple times afterward and never received a response.

Parking is located close to the building and easily accessible. While there are no public ice machines on-site, the in-room freezers do make ice, which is a practical touch. There is no breakfast service at this location, but the friendly and accommodating staff make the stay pleasant and efficient. Overall, this is an excellent choice for travelers seeking a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay in South Austin. It offers great value and comfort that go above and beyond typical expectations for a 2-star property.

The property needs a lot of work. The pictures doesn't look nothing like the actual room. Also the check in area smelled so bad like wet dogs. We arrived late and we wanted to rest but around 5:30 or 6 in the morning the receptionist was having a full on conversation she was so loud. I would never stay there again. The A/C in the room didn't work. The dishwasher had duty dishes. Thank God we only stay there for one night. I do not recommend this property.

Negatives: had we known there would literally not be ANY housekeeping during our entire 6 night stay, and that we had to take our dirty linens down to front desk ourselves, replace with clean linens, take care of our full garbages (place in hall when full - did not get a replacement bag for them), we would not have stayed here. When you pay that much money a night and you're there for a vacation, the best part about coming back to your room in the evening at the end of a tiring day is to come back to fresh towels, a clean bathroom and a made bed. Also, we did not see when we booked that there was a $5 a day parking fee. Also, the hotel is literally right beside a busy overpass. Easy to get to but there was some traffic noise. One more thing: the a/c did not put out enough cold air into the bedroom - it comes through a vent from the main room and even though we had it down to 60, it was still not cool enough for us. Again, just want to say thank you to the very friendly ladies working the front desk.

Very helpful staff. Very nice room (suite) with dishwasher, garbage disposal, cooktop, full size refrigerator with freezer (ice maker), dishes, silverware, pots/pans, paper towels - so, basically a full kitchen. Very nice!

I booked a stay for my son and I. We arrived late in the evening. There were lots of people in the parking lot just walking around. There was a strip club and many homeless people right around the corner. The people at the desk were friendly, but a little distant. The parking lot and lobby smelled like weed. We stayed the first night because we arrived so late and could not make alternate plans. The next day we went to find another hotel and checked out. I asked the front desk for a refund, but they said since it was after the cut off time that I had to contact Expedia. I did not feel safe, staying there as a woman or with a child. I would like a refund of the second day. We checked out at 1 PM and returned our keys to the front desk.

Attended ACL and it is convienently located 13 miles away. Overall hotel is clean with friendly staff. The only issue I came across was inital smell of the room. It was not horrible but it was not fresh at all. It was an okay price of $110 a night. Anything closer to Zilker park was more expensive. I do not feel that being charged $5 day when you are guest is necessary. That needs to relooked.

Clean room, very difficult to open door (actually it hit my knee when entering since it sprung back to close), and no breakfast option.

Overall the hotel is a bit older but it was good. The ice maker in the fridge didn’t work and the ac could use updating but the bed was comfortable and the staff was amazing! Megan was the sweetest she really helped us!

The location of the hotel is convenient to the airport and much of Austin. The property itself does not feel brand new, but for the price I did not expect that. The room was clean and functional, though when running the AC (which is necessary in Austin in September), there was a certain mustiness, though it was not a huge deal. I don't know if the other rooms have the same issue. Service was friendly and helpful.

The place was nice / cute, although some upkeep is needed (paint in bathtub is coming off which looked really unpleasant). And although it is nice inside, the area is really concerning. Its a nice hotel in a really bad area. I do appreciate them keeping our cars safe though.

Room was nice and clean and a good value for the money.

Clean comfortable room. Loved that pets can stay as if they are also a guest and cleaning services can be defered for at least a week allowing for privacy. Great suites with supplies needed to cook food. No ovens but counter stove top is great. Love the timer safety feature. Enjoyed a dedicated area for pet walks. Did not ise gym or laundrh but facilities look good. Vending machine/ canteen prices high. Parking costs $5.00 a night. That seems a bit much when you are a paying guest. They have a gated parking lot and security, but with the cost of the room I was not expecting parking to cost more.
- 5/5
Staff was super nice, our room was very clean and comfy. Common areas were also clean, in spite of with hotel being pet-friendly. Really good for the price 👌 We'd definitely be back.

The days I was there, no one cleaned the room, even I had to take out the garbage and give it to the cleaning staff because the garbage in the room was already 2 days. I found dog feces in the hallway

Needed a place for the night on the way home. Great value. Clean the parking lot was well lit. Will stay again when in the area
- 5/5
Great value. Not luxurious but the room was comfy and has everything you need—even a pot, dishes, and dishwasher.
- 5/5
For the money you pay, I don’t think you shall expect more. You have a car, you can cook, it is right on ih35, 4 miles to Austin downtown, 30 miles to San Marcus, you want spend a few days with your family in this area, this hotel’s suites are just on the money I should say.

Recently discovered these gems and havent stayed with another company since! ES has been my favorite but this takes second due to the balance of price adjustment and quality. Affordable, spacious, safe, clean, caring staff, and the little home touches remind you that Sonesta is always the right choife.

Bed was clean but mattress wore out. Had coffee maker but no cups. Not even a plastic cup in bathroom. No ice machine but had ice maker in fridge BUT turned off. Location was surrounded by homeless but did have security.
- 4/5
Clean enough. Right off the freeway, so not much to do close by, except we discovered St. Elmo Brewing in the neighborhood on our second day. The neighborhood just to the east is pretty rundown.
- 3/5
Rooms need upgrading. Dingy carpet. Refrigerator has rust. The price matches the room.
- 5/5
I would stay here again, room was clean, desk staff was extremely pleasant during our late night check in, plenty of parking and easy access to freeways.
- 3/5
The good news is the room was clean. The hotel property is dated and the location is questionable. The staff was not very helpful and there was no housekeeping service during our four day stay. We had to go to the front desk each day for towels and extra toilet paper. And, surprise, for some crazy reason they charge $5 a day just to park in their lot.

This could have easily been a seedy gross hotel, but it was honestly so nice for what you pay for. Parking was easy, conveniently located, the room was clean, and having a full fridge was a nice addition. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel experience this isn’t the spot. If you’re looking for affordable, having your necessities covered, and a clean room this is the place.

property was nice no problems, clean rooms. However, I did not like the smell in my room. It smelled old and musty. And lots of places with extended stay residence always have a few weirdos hanging around the building. One dude was on an ankle monitor trying to have a conversation with me
- 3/5
Nothing fancy, clean hotel, bed is pretty comfortable, tv is good. But there are no trash can in the bath room, and the bath tub is peeling, shower is leaking
- 4/5
The hotel room was just fine although there was a lack of utensils. With the construction ongoing on I-35S it was a challenge to get to in rush hour, otherwise no complaints.

- 5/5
The staff was polite and friendly.
- 3/5
The customer service is great! Very friendly employees that make you feel at home. However, this place is in need of some upgrades and improvements within the rooms. It’s also an extended stay hotel which I did not realize when I booked. So keep that in mind. I didn’t see any bugs or rodents while I was there so that great! But I wouldn’t be surprised if they were there.

Locked out of our room twice on first arrival

Pros: close to downtown, front staff is friendly, security patrols parking lot at night, it was overall comfortable and quiet Cons: the room itself was nice having a kitchenette and psacious but overall felt very bare, they dont do cleaning everyday which i didnt relly care about but there were no cups to like rinse (theres coffee and coffee pot but no cups? At all...- I imagine most ppl dont bring their own cups), the room wasnt really diety but i kept finding hair all over- on the bed, on the night stands, on the dresser and by the sink and there was only a half roll of toilet paper in bathroom- it just overall felt half cleaned or half put together
- 5/5
Clean, affordable, friendly.

The rooms are renovated and okay, they don't smell, I guess that's an upside. The location is pretty bad unless you plan to drive all the time, no restaurants within a reasonably short distance, everything is over a mile away.

I genuinely do not leave bad reviews unless it’s a must but this place is definitely not what is advertised online. I booked via Expedia for 2 nights. I was apprehensive to check in based on the drive up appeal alone, but went ahead and did so to check out the room itself. The elevator felt rickety and once I made it to my floor, there were socks and trash bags in the hallway. I only opened the door to check the room and it smelled and was very humid. I immediately told the front desk person I needed to leave due to the state of their accommodations. She was kind to refund me for the 2nd day but told me to contact Expedia for the 1st. Expedia said the management refused to refund me for the 60 second stay. I wish I took photos. I was highly oversold and beyond under delivered. This left me out of pocket by $114 for literally nothing. I will never return to a Sonesta property again.

Not close to any place to eat or have a coffee. Parking fee in such a location is egregious. Parking was plentiful. Coffee and snacks were substandard. Staff is poorly trained. Rooms were good, clean, and quiet. TV did not allow for streaming via phone.
