What a breath of fresh air it was to stay at this Courtyard. Very helpful staff, clean as a whistle, and amazing parking! Really enjoyed this stay at this property!

Older building but very well maintained. Everything felt, looked and smelled clean. Staff was friendly and helpful

Beds are comfy and staff is super nice and helpful. Wasn’t in the most convenient area but that’s the only draw back

I was allergic to the air freshener and was sick until we aired the room. But I realize that was no fault of the hotel.

Great area close to my family and staff was very nice

Location was good. Staff was friendly at the check in desk. Room - including the lumpy, too soft mattress that was obviously old - was dated and tired. Bathroom was updated and fine. This hotel charges for all incidentals and even PARKING in their own, large, empty lot. The coffee was NOT Starbucks standard quality - but higher than Starbucks prices. The eggs were prepared to order, but not capably. Not good tasting and overpriced. Yogurt, water, fruit - all overpriced. No free coffee available, despite lobby canister with cold, terrible coffee. Very slow service. Customer in line before me actually left his paid-for food because he couldn't wait any longer.

I had a good stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin South. It’s a solid business hotel with everything you need for a comfortable trip. The room was clean and well kept, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and I appreciated having access to a pool, gym, and bar/lounge. The staff was welcoming and nice. The location was also convenient, close to the freeway and near a Walmart, which made quick stops easy. Overall, a reliable and very pleasant place to stay in Austin.

It was ok, nothing special. Lobby coffee was cold and not good. Don't understand why its extra for parking, they have the parking lot like every other business.
- 4/5
We slept wonderful. Beds we're awesome! Very nice room but the shower head needed plumbers tape which caused water to spray up on the ceiling. Alot! Elevators were OUT, so we used the stairs. They had a service man working on it while we were there. Simple fixes, so we would stay here again. Very safe area too.
- 2/5
Elevators did not work and the stairwell smelled awful. Also the pull out couch was disgusting and had some sort of gel stain on it. Would not recommend.
- 3/5
Looks like they may be under renovation and new ownership. The elevator is out of service which made the hike up and down 3 flights of stairs with luggage unpleasant. Also, upon check in they couldnt find my reservation. It seems that a "former" employee may have changed my arrival date. I have stayed here bedore and had a much better experience prior. Overall I rate this stay a 3 out of 5. It was close to .y meetinh location, fairly easy to access but the area (rear of property) is sketchy with transients sleeping near dumpster.

The room was spotless. The bed was a bit hard for my taste and the sheets not as luxurious or soft as I'm used to at a Marriott property.

Everything was great

It needs major update

I called to let them know I would be checking in late. When I arrived at 8:30 pm, I was ready to relax. I was impressed at the very well groomed woman at the front desk, wearing a suit no less. There's an area with snacks and drinks next to the check in, and I grabbed a beverage and some chips, and she comped them, putting them in a very nice bag. When I asked where the ice machine was, she went herself to get me some ice. It was then that I noticed there as a bar in the lobby. I got some delicious loaded tater tots from the bar, and went to relax in my room. I normally stay in a different brand of hotel when I travel, but booked the Marriott at the suggestion of a friend. I will be staying at this brand in the future. It was all very nice, including four pillows on the bed.

Could hear the people above me running and stomping around. Had to pay for parking. Don't think I'll stay here again. Use to be nice when I stayed several times before. And person at front desk had attitude when asked for extra towels.

Updated outside but still a very old hotel inside. Hallways are musty and old smelling. The elevator is sketchy. Beds are comfortable but the hotel needs renovations and updating.
- 5/5
Great comfy beds and pillows
- 5/5
Room was wonderful.. lounge was very nice. Pool looked great, love the wall art.
- 5/5
Nice hotel but no free breakfast. Nice bar with some food but expensive. Charged $10 per night for parking. The parking is the regular lot out in front of the hotel. No covered or valet. Had to go out in rain to put the parking sticker on my own car. This is just a way to get money without you being aware up front. Ridiculous. You would not pay this in comparable hotels.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Everything was good.
- 3/5
I liked the indoor pool. Front desk staff is very friendly. Breakfast attendant had a bad attitude and ignored me while waiting in line. Homeless people walking around property. Clean facility. Didnt tell me when booking and surprised me upon arrival with a $200 freeze on my bank account for incidentals and 10 days to return it. Room furniture needs updating. Had 70s wood grain paneling.
- 5/5
Renovations at the looby area were taking place during our stay, so the noise was an inconvenience, but other than that it was a good experience
- 4/5
The WiFi in my room never worked.
- 1/5
We had an issue with the room I booked as opposed to the room that I got. I was supposed to get a one bedroom suite with a balcony, but received a regular room. It wasn’t a problem as far as the cleanliness of the room. However, I paid more for room I didn’t get and was told that I wouldn’t be receiving any kind of compensation for the difference in price. The customer service, especially the gentleman that was working at night, was absolutely unacceptable.
- 5/5
Property was great, was in Austin for ACL and place was Clean, Safe. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Honestly no complaints. Very clean (which is my biggest concern), beds are comfy and room is spacious! They were also very kind to let me check in early at 1pm and check out an hour later! Free parking and they gave us complimentary water when we checked in. Had a nice time and will definitely come back!
- 5/5
We are there for rest so it was a good choice for clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Very nice and clean hotel
- 1/5
The hallways have a weird smell always, the elevator has stains all over, understaffed with same personnel managing front desk and cafe and the list goes on…. The employees are trying their best but the hotel is ill equipped to provide clean, comfortable and pleasant experience to its guests. Registered a complaint into Marriott Bonvoy since I am a member there and will not be staying at one ever. Ruined our family trip at the outset. Steer clear from this one, a motel nearby would offer better.
- 5/5
Super clean and comfortable!
- 3/5
Odd smell in hallway. Could hear guests in room/s above ours.
- 2/5
The check-in was easy. However, when we settled into our room, we noticed a tick crawling on the pillows. The front desk person was kind enough to move us into a different room without any issues. The staff was friendly and understanding; however, I would not stay here again due to knowing there are ticks crawling around in the beds at this hotel.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and convenient to our needs.
- 3/5
The property was average. I wouldn't come back, let's just say that. The staff was friendly but the stay wasn't pleasing at all.
- 4/5
There were little to no food options and hardly anyone staffing the front desk on a regular basis. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly however.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Helpful staff
- 3/5
One bed was so close to the wall that it was only accessible from one side and the bottom. I'm pretty sure these were double beds, not queen-sized. There was also only one chair to share.
- 4/5
It was nice they could have more food options aren’t any eateries near by
- 5/5
Everything was so clean, orderly, and well-maintained. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Loved zipping right onto 35 to be on my way. Perfect stay!
- 3/5
The only thing I dislike they don’t have breakfast in the morning at least
- 3/5
No hot tub the app lied and ruined my stay. I really needed one and traveled far to this for nothing.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff

Checked in for . First night the king room and couch for 2 adults and 2 kids had no extra pillows and sheets for the kids. Had to call downstairs four times before someone answered. Was asked to retrieve my own sheets at 9pm. My husband found chewing tabacco on the floor and I found a small toy. Second night my 5 year old sat on the floor in the middle of the room and a sewing needle went into her PJs and stuck her bottom. Went to complain and gave needle to front desk and was only told sorry. Disgusting
- 3/5
Specifically picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. Disappointed that the pool was freezing. Kids could not swim.
- 4/5
I had a single room with a king bed. The problem was that there is, for lack of a better term, a rolling item that looks like a chest of some type. It is placed in a position that caused me to fall during the night because it obstructed the area from the bathroom to the bed. When the lights are on, it is easy to avoid, bur in the dark it is dangerous. I took a fall that could have had a really bad result. The management should know that the placement is a lawsuit waiting to happen at some point in the future.
- 5/5
Great proximity to downtown and Austin. Not happy with the homelessness in the area
- 4/5
Room was same as picture. But flash tank in toilet was noisy.
- 4/5
Staff was very nice and friendly.

Nice hotel
- 5/5
Great service at the front desk!

all was great except that room service forgot to service room, no clean sheets or towels, no cleaning of the room
- 4/5
It's a nice hotel, convenient location.
- 5/5
Love it

Room was dirty, had ants near bed and window sill
- 5/5
Great experience; will be back!
- 5/5
Great rooms! We loved having a balcony and walk in shower. Definitely made our stay much more relaxing.
- 5/5
Access to the highway and down town.
- 5/5
Great staff, felt welcomed everyday through my 9 day stay.
- 4/5
Easy access to airport and restaurants.
- 5/5
Easy access from freeway
- 5/5
Great place
- 1/5
The pool was also cold enough to keep your drinks cold, and was completely unusable. They said the heater just broke, but I saw reviews weeks back mentioning the same issue, so clearly if there is an issue it's not a priority to fix. With so many other hotels in the area, save your money and spend it at a hotel that actually cares about their guests and has working pool facilities.
- 5/5
Clean room and bathroom. Very comfy
- 4/5
Shower sucked 😡
- 3/5
The restaurant wasn’t accommodating when I tried to phone in an order to pick up. The wifi was frustratingly bad that it as better to not use it at all. There was 2 pieces of furniture that had low, sharp edges that I banged my left leg on that gave me lacerations. The indoor pool water was so cold my wife was unable to use it.
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Clean. Quiet. Stayed here before. Will stay again. My go to hotel when in Austin.
- 5/5
Service and room are excellent
- 5/5
We really love the staff they do a great job. plan to go back next year
- 5/5
Everything was top notch! This is what a hotel is supposed to be.
- 5/5
The front desk employees were amazing. They were so kind to my children. Easy check in and out..
- 4/5
The hotel is obviously older but has been redone inside. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent.
- 1/5
Our first room had 4 roaches so we requested to be transferred to another room, in which we also found dead roaches. Stay away!
- 4/5
We stayed here for a week at the end of August and mostly had a nice experience. The room had all the amenities one would expect, the staff was very courteous, and the location of the hotel was extremely convenient. The only complaints I have are minor ones--since there's a Starbucks in the lobby, the only free coffee you can get is through the small machine offered in your room, and that's never a great quantity or quality. The other issue was the crickets--they were EVERYWHERE. We noticed a horde of them as we entered the hotel each night, which was no surprise considering the time of year, but the insects managed to make it up to our second floor room and startled us more than once. I'm honestly not totally sure how they got up there, but we kept finding more and more of them. Crickets and coffee aside, we had a delightful stay and will likely make this our go-to hotel when we visit Austin.
- 5/5
crickets in the room
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend this place to friends and family for sure. Very clean and comfortable. The Starbucks in the hotel lobby was a great touch. Good times.
- 5/5
clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Very pleasant stay, near SoCo area. Not within walking distance, but a short drive. Would definitely stay here again when back in Austin
- 5/5
Very clean beds and pillows so comfortable…when I had to switch to a two bed room it was an easy process very nice service
- 5/5
I was on vacation to staff greeted me at the door every time I entered our accident the pool area always was clean friendly service at Starbucks
- 5/5
Very open
- 5/5
It was very nice and enjoyable.
- 4/5
Staff was extremely nice and accommodating however, there was not any regular coffee for the coffee machine in the room. They only had decaf coffee and the shower leaked water all over the floor. The property was kept very clean.
- 5/5
I liked everything about the hotel. I always enjoy staying at Marriott properties.
- 5/5
Front desk employees very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Fast, friendly and professional
- 5/5
The location in proximity to downtown Austin and surrounding points of interest was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Perfect. Room clean beds perfect
- 5/5
What I loved about this property is that it felt like a boutique hotel but with professional amenities. The small 24 hour market was a life saver. The staff was also very friendly!
- 4/5
Easy and friendly hotel.
- 4/5
Very nice and clean. Friendly staff. Only 2 minor issues. TV would lose its signal for vlocks of time and it took 5 minutes to get the water to run warm. This was dueing the recent freeze so the issues ciuld havebeen caused by this. Would DEFINITELY stay agin!
- 5/5
I liked the indoor pool for my daughter and the staff is friendly. Good location and the rooms are very clean
- 5/5
The whole experience was phenomenal with super friendly staff and they were very accommodating. Everything was very modern and the amenities were superior, definitely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at.
- 5/5
The renovations are truly impressive and was honestly impressed with how nice the hotel was overall, especially the rooms! Great staff/customer service that was present and attentive!
- 5/5
Visiting family for the holidays and this was a great location for us.

It was convenient.
- 5/5
Love this place any time we here in Austin this my Hotel
- 4/5
Very nice staff and all around nice hotel. Great beds and bedding!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 5/5
We stayed in a King Suite on the way home from a long road trip and we’re so glad we did! The room exceeded our expectations in comfort, cleanliness and value for the rate. The room was spacious and updated with clean cotton linens. The concierge greeted us professionally and warmly when we checked in which was a nice welcome coming off the road. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful if we needed them. We loved that there was a coffee shop in the lobby for our morning drinks. We will definitely be back on our next trip. Thank you to the staff for making it a nice place to rest on our way!
- 5/5
Friendly ck in. Clean room.
- 3/5
Breakfast not included, need to figure out the staffing at that Starbucks. It was fine but shouldn’t cost more than 200$/night
- 5/5
Remodeled hotel. Nice property and would stay again.
- 5/5
Great last minute trip - everything was sold out bc of the UT vs TECH game
- 5/5
Very clean rooms, courteous/ friendly staff and extremely comfortable beds!!!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Clean and the bed was like a cloud. Will stay again. Front desk person was so nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean beds and pillows where comfortable a huge plus was tht there was a Starbucks
- 1/5
We requested a handicap accessible room with a roll-in shower for a wheelchair along with a transfer bench, this hotel misled us and didn't provide an accessible room. When we requested a shower bench we were told they are attached to the wall in accessible showers and that they didn't have those showers in rooms with two beds. So, they expect guests in wheelchairs to travel alone or they have to share a bed with someone else. You can't just throw a bar in the shower and call it accessible. Accessible means it's wheelchair friendly and this hotel doesn't care about guests in wheelchairs. This hotel isn't handicap friendly, so if you need accessibility avoid it because they really don't care. You can request it but they won't provide what you need. I will never stay at a Courtyard Marriott again, maybe not even a Marriott again and I used to work for the company.
- 5/5
Awesome!

Toilet wouldn’t flush we had to go downstairs, the problem was reported but not fixed
