    Hotel was hot... room just felt humid. Not what I expected for a Marriott hotel. Kind of old and run down...more like a nice 2 star hotel....def not a 3 or 4 star. Walls had been patched up...not very well, mold in shower, phones in room didn't work...they were super old. 10 for parking ... generally only hotels downtown in the city require you to pay for parking, I'm used to paying for parking when parking is limited but not when there's a full parking lot in the hotel charges just to charge. Oh and I bought a water and it was like $5 which was kind of ridiculous for a plain Aquafina water. Moral of the story it was a lower quality hotel but charged like a higher end Marriott. One thing I can say is that the staff there was amazing super friendly

    Size of room, iron in the room, easy access. Easy to check out. Ton of students taking over. This wasn't the hotel's fault. During breakfast, the group spread out across the tables rather than sitting together, which didn't leave room for other guests.

    The rooms could’ve been cleaner, I deep check everyone I stay in, since I have been in the industry before I look everywhere in that room. I usually find things or places that should be cleaner. I did find a couple spots that should’ve been cleaner and I talked to the front desk staff about it in the morning when I was checking out and they we’re going to let the property manager, Maintenance, and housekeeping I did have a leak in the middle of the night that got the bathroom floor all wet coming from the ceiling. Since the bathrooms are probably stacked on top of each other on every floor. There is a leak in the bathroom above that was leaking down into my bathroom. That was also addressed at checkout. Otherwise, the breakfast was good and the rest of the hotel looked good. A few in the carpeting down the hallways had some tears. For an older Marriott property it is still a nice property to stay at. 12-15 minutes from downtown. The frontage road can be quite busy and takes a while to get out sometimes. The back entrance is easier and it takes a few minutes longer, but it is safer since they drive extremely fast on the frontage road.

    Breakfast was good and hot. Plenty of coffee available. Premises were clean and cares for. Staff friendly and helpful. House cleaning was lacking. Had to go to front ourselves twice for fresh towels. We stayed three days and had to go to front desk and ask about maid service.

    checked in at 9pm, got to room and the TV didn't work. Called down and was placed on hold for 30 minutes. Then disconnected. Then they refused to answer the phone so I tried again an hour later. They told me someone would come up to fix it. Nobody ever came

    Shower was not cleaned when I arrived. As well as the tv nor the room phone were working. Instead of putting me in a different room, a work order for maintenance was put in and maintenance showed up late around 10pm when I was already in bed. I originally booked my trim for a week stay and paid over $600 for the week and ended up checking out on the second day and this property declined my refund for the remaining days not used as well as tried to charge me an additional $120 early check out fee. I have never had a bad experience with Marriott hotels except this specific location and will be sure to never return there again for another stay.

    My son slept on the pull out couch and said the mattress was very uncomfortable. He said it felt like he was sleeping on springs without any cushion. He kept waking up throughout the night trying different positions, but that didn't seem to work and he didn't sleep well.

    The hotel is fine. The staff is great, well trained and could not be better. The only hiccup was the indoor pool. It was uncomfortably cool. When we asked if they could possibly put the heater on, they did, but it was still quite cold.

    This hotel is nice enough and is clean. Everytime I've stayed there, I get a room with a toilet that barely flushes. It happened again on this last stay. The room is always clean and the AC works great. The bed in my room this time was not comfortable. I think a new mattress is needed!

Went down stairs and they gave us another room in a higher floor and i asked for a disability room with shower did not get it either. The beds are to small and very uncomfortable. There pool was supposedly being clean both days we were there so we did not get to use pool.We were sent to another hotel next door to use.

    The pool was excellent and so was the staff. 1st room given had what appeared to be black mold, 2nd room had water running down the inside of the door, 3rd room the bolt came out as we opened the door, and Finally the 4th room was clean and no issues.

    I like this property and have stayed there before. This time I was initially assigned a room that had a weird, stale smell. Was promptly given another room that smelled fine. As I went to iron my clothes a few minutes later, I found that the iron was broken. Tried to call for a new one, but the phone line was out. They gave me another iron, but the phone remained like that the four days I was there. The place is generally in great shape, and the service was excellent. I love the full breakfasts, and I had no issues getting them to remove the tax from my bill (as I work for an agency that pays no tax). Not sure how often they clean the rooms, but it only happened once in the four days I was there.

On top of all of that the refrigerator was not working so the food we brought to our room ruined. The next morning I let the front desk know of all of these issues and she apologized and said that it would be taken care of. We left at 9:00am and didn’t come back until 4:00om and there had been no changes to our dirty room and a refrigerator that did not work the entire time that we were there. When we checked out the front desk lady said that there was nothing that could be done about it but she would talk to her manager. Needless to say I never heard a word back from anyone. I would never stay somewhere that had such poor customer service and such bad hotel experience.

    There is no insulation in the walls, so you can hear every time a door opens and closes all the way down the hall. Housekeeping, despite never coming to the room, likes to vacuum around 8:00 am, so that will wake you up. Breakfast was good, but they never put out enough for the guests. People were standing around and waiting for food and several people asked for muffins. The woman brought out 6 (at least 10 people had asked for them) and then one lady took them all and there were never more muffins brought out. We were told several times that more eggs would be ready in 10 minutes, but after waiting 25 minutes, I gave up and went back to the room.     We just checked in and the toilet was dirty and backed up. Property is sold out so they couldn’t move us. Unbelievable, makes me rethink springhill suites and Marriott. There are no paper towels for the kitchen sink. The electrical plugs needs a usb connection especially at the desk. The windows need some type of insulation or noise dampening curtains. The highway noise is bad especially at 6am on a Saturday. I woke up and I couldn’t go back to sleep.

    This time the room felt crowded and there were things such as hand lotion missing. The heater was too noisy and cold air was coming out even when we were trying to get the room temperature around 74 degrees. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was ok. Location is good if you have activities closed to UT as was our case. Being on I-35 is a major advantage.

    It's a dump. Sheets are threadbare and so much polyester in them that you sweat all night. Paint is chipping. Bathroom toilet seat was so old it was blistered. Work area was dark, and the TV was tiny.

    Not a complaint, but an advisory: the eggs and meat in the breakfast were very salty, and I mention that for folks who may have blood pressure considerations. But of course many hotel breakfasts nationwide don’t even offer protein. There is a lovely patio out back and one can also order takeaway at the Marriott restaurant 100 yards away next door, which is convenient because otherwise these hotels are isolated.

    This Springhill Suites was rundown, there were people smoking in the hallways to point of giving you a yeadache in your own room -- in a non-smoking hotel! My toom and that of my colleague smelled like mildew, and the rooms were worn/needed a remodel. There was a stain on my bed skirt, and when the desk clerk checked us in (2 women traveling solo for business) he LOUDLY announced our room numbers to the lobby. Zero training, apparently. Very disappointed with this property.

    Arrived and my reservation had been canceled without my consent. I spent 5 hours on the phone with customer service trying to get another place to stay.
