No pool! Pictures show pool but it is actually both neighboring hotel pools that you walk to that can be used. Pool overflows with guest of their own and not very clean during our stay.

Unfriendly staff, took forever to check in. Couple of things I wanted to purchase from their store and waited for 10 min, the lobby staff couldn’t charge me.

While the accommodations themselves were satisfactory, our arrival experience at Fairfield was unacceptable due to the conduct of the front desk clerk, Jarode. We arrived at approximately 9:30 PM on Saturday evening after a long day of travel, tired and expecting to check into the room we had reserved. Instead, Jarode informed us that our reserved room was unavailable due to overbooking. This information was delivered in a rude, dismissive, and unprofessional manner. He stated he had “a long day,” which did not excuse his behavior toward paying guests. He initially offered us a room with one king bed and a sofa bed, which did not meet our original reservation for two queen beds. He then suggested relocating us to a nearby Residence Inn, but informed us that complimentary breakfast would not be honored despite it being included in our original booking. When I questioned why an amenity included in my reservation would not transfer, he dismissively responded that those were his manager’s instructions. Given the circumstances, we accepted the transfer to Residence Inn in order to secure the proper sleeping accommodations. Fortunately, the front desk associate at Residence Inn was exceptionally professional, courteous, and welcoming. Her service significantly improved what began as a very frustrating experience. The room was clean, and the stay itself was comfortable.

We went at 4:30 and the said rooms not ready. When I questioned why not for check in is 3 pm. I got an answer that they did not have enough people to clean . We had to run for an event and we showed back at midnight and there was no one to let us in or check us in . After staying with another person for an hour , we saw someone enter building and he said he had to hep the near by hotel. We asked for a refund for we do not want to pay for 1 hr for we had an early flight at 5 am. He said it is paid for and we can stay for 2 hrs and that he will speak to manager for refund and we have not received a call yet . Who leaves a hotel with no front desk ? Why was check in not kept at the time ?

We were unable to make our stay because of car issues. We had to have the car towed back to our home in Kerrville before we could check into the hotel.

Meh, absolutely nothing special. Charged for parking in an empty parking lot, bathroom sink water pressure was negligible, heater fan was loud all night long and could not turn it off. Breakfast was ho hum at best for this level of establishment.

Hot breakfast. LOTS of choices/special touches Fruit & nuts for the waffles. Right on I-35 but NO road noise. Had to pay $10 for parking here and other areas of the city because of rhigh crime rate. $30 in downtown or airport locations. National Guard is helping!!

I was very disappointed that I was required to pay $10 per day to park in the parking lot. The location is not near any type of downtown area that would see unnecessary overnight parking for bars or restaurants. I was just in Boston about a month ago in the downtown area and was not required to pay to park in the hotel parking lot.

I enjoyed my stay UNTIL I realized 3 days after I left I received a $400 charge on my card for smoking in the room even though my husband and I did not smoke/vape, etc. They use these fake smoke detecting sensors to charge their loyal customers once they leave. Many other hotels that are doing this are being sued - look up the class action lawsuits about this. It's a straight up fraud. Will not return to another Marriot hotel because of this!

Staff were really friendly, accessing room was easy as building was only 3 stories. Breakfast was more than adequate. The room was tidy and clean. The hotel was a distance from the downtown area. No dining in evenings, but possible to go to hotel nearby. Although there was security patrolling around hotel there were lots of disenfranchised people near the hotel. Convenience store is 5 to 10 minute walk. Really need a car to stay here.

There was such weak internet I couldn't open sites - then I saw it's a 2 star property. Also, our AC wasn't working and they had to fix, fitness center AC wasn't working and they couldn't fix.

The location was great! The sofa bed was small.

Enjoyed the breakfast. Decent variety and quantity was sufficient Ice machine was on the fritz and I use/consume a lot of ice. Not the easiest place to locate/get to and online mapping program(s) were not helpful.

The bed was in horrible shape. Very uncomfortable. Made for a very sleepless night.

The property is conveniently located, very comfortable. The rooms are spacious with lots of good amenities, bedding was extremely comfortable. Staff was very helpful, easy to talk to, professional & friendly. A special shout out to Connor who welcomed us & provided great customer service! We wanted to be down south in Austin and close to I35. There is a row of hotels and we were very happy with this hotel. Everything in the room worked and was comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

This hotel oversells and “walks” guests to other properties on a regular basis! The split up our group, and because I booked through Expedia, I was given “low priority” and forced to stay somewhere else. The staff was horrible and gave me no discounts or anything to make up for this inconvenience. My daughter was separated from her team!

Room was good. Bed was comfy, shower was hot. Nothing within walking distance to eat but within 10 miles, tons of options. Area was fine and it was quiet even tho the hotel is right off I-35.

Very clean and friendly staff. Not as close to airport as I had thought, so I had to Uber. Also, no restaurants nearby at all. Only restaurant is 2 hotels down at Marriott. Good restaurant and not that far of a walk.

The only problem we had was the room was advertised as being able to sleep 5. 1 king size bed and 1 hideaway bed in the loveseat. We had 3 in the king size bed (mom, teen, and 7 year old) but 2 in the hideaway bed (dad and teen), while technically possible, was not realistic, so dad slept on the floor. Not complaining but just be aware that if you have 5 grown ups staying together, it may be a challenge to get everyone into the two beds.

The coffee was strong and perfect! Our check-in was easy. I really appreciate having a microwave and mini fridge in the room as well as an in-room coffee maker.

Breakfast was disappointing. Worst two nights of sleep we had in our vacation. Bed/Pillows were extremely low-quality, and we woke up very tired both days. Won’t be staying at a Fairfield again, a good night’s rest is too important.

The hotel is and area in an industrial park so you have to rent a car or Uber. There is nothing you can walk to. Staff are nice. They are doing construction so you can’t use the pool table

The exterior paving and concrete looked like they hadn't been touched in a decade. The interior lobby was under construction. The staff were pleasant. The halls seemed to exhibit the effects of construction dust. The room itself was small, but clean and very dated. This is not what I expected of Marriott. The 2nd occurrence of poor performance in a 6 week road trip.

The stay was great. My problem is the next day the hotel debited my account for $130. They admit it was a mistake on their behalf. But that was $130 not available to me for several days. That could’ve overdrawn my account. They only should have debited my card for $20 for incidentals and of course return it to me.

The hotel was renovating the first floor but even so the place was clean and the staff were amazing!

The first room I was given smelled so strongly of formaldehyde from the new materials just installed that I had to ask to be moved. Then I had to move again as the work changed floors during my stay and I was in the way. It was just inconvenient--not horrible. Rooms--new and old--were immaculately clean. Breakfast was really good. Employees were pleasant and helpful. I will return next time I'm in Austin.

This is my new go to when I travel to Austin. I have been there multiple times and will be back. The staff is great and facility is clean.

We had to cancel Our stay at this hotel. We are waiting for Expedia to get us a refund. We checked in on 8/21/21. We were assigned to a room. The pull-up bed was filth with blood and other body fluids. The bedsheets were also dirty as well as the curtains and the walls. We were moved to another room and the bedsheets had hairs and the pull-up bed was dirty again( we got pictures of a as ll this). We asked for a refund to go to another hotel. Because of the time at night there was no manager and Expedia couldn’t get a refund for us. We are waiting on getting our full refund. We ended up having to go to Courtyard by Marriott as well, they are on the same parking lot and had to book another hotel room paying out of pocket.

Rooms was great and plenty of room to stretch out. Only bad thing was guest above us had kids with heavy feet.

Overall was ok. Pool was not available yet it indicated that was one of the amenities. And I was really looking foward to relaxing in the pool. Staff was very polite and helpful.

Check in was great! The person at the desk was very professional and would greet me by name every time I walked in the hotel. The room was great as well, but the bed was a little stiffer than I would like. Overall, it enjoyed my stay.

When we arrived we were told that the hotel was full do to overbooking and we were to go down the road to a partner hotel. the receptionist was polite about the situation.

Hotel felt outdated, beds were old and furniture and carpet looks run down.

The desk clerks were friendly and both check-in and out were efficient. I understand that hotel staffs are small lately, but the recycle bin in the lobby was full and did not get emptied. The first day, the trash can in the breakfast lounge was full to the top, though it was emptied the second day.

Anna, the receptionist in the evening is the best I have ever seen, bending over backwards to help and assist. I was VERY impressed. Breakfast doesn't have any savory items. :( Pool is closed. You have to go to the sister hotel that is not far but didn't want to cross streets in my towel and suit!

Clean, with plenty of space. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had chosen this hotel specifically for its indoor pool, but when we arrived we were told the pool had been drained and was closed. So that was disappointing. Other than that, it's a nice, inexpensive place to stay. :)
