Friendly staff and breakfast was amazing.

The facility was great, but the elevator was broken. I had to relocate to another hotel because my elderly mother could not go up and down the stairs to the fourth floor. It was inconvenient to have to find another hotel, but the staff was excellent at refunding my money so I could do so.

Staff are so nice and accommodating. Always love staying at this property when visiting our daughter in Austin. Thank you!!

The staff here are very friendly and professional. Great people that make you feel welcome. My bed and bathroom were clean with no issues. However, the carpet in the room was very dirty. My socks literallly went from white to dirt as soon as I walked around. Note to owners, pay for carpet shampooing. Vacumes only help so much. It is time. Your employees are great. I am sure they would appreciate that too...

The location is not too far from downtown and is in a nice calm area The mattress was so bad. Me and my boyfriend woke up with very bad lower back pain. You can hear everything from the neighbors above, every time someone walk or do something you will hear it.

The location is good The hotel “doesn’t “ communicate through booking, there’s someone else handling their message system and apparently they have no idea who it is, So make sure to call and confirm that you’re request is actually taken care of. Also, The elevator didn’t work so we were forced to take a different room then what we booked… The room had long term spider webs, dirty carpets and smell was not the best, we requested more pillows for the pull out couch- and were told they don’t have any… Cheap hotel, not if you’re looking for a vacation to enjoy, more for work purposes!

The staff were incredibly helpful, the majority of the hotel (room, common areas, outdoors) were clean or regularly tended to, and the suite was perfect & spacious for our family of three. Only downside was the elevator wasn’t working and we had luggage, but the staff made very agreeable efforts to mitigate that, including early check in and assistance carrying items to the room.

Breakfast was outstanding. Fresh fruit, hot food freshly made, delicious! I was impressed they welcomed pets in this beautiful place. Staff so professional and friendly!

Good location, spacious rooms, well priced. Elevator wasn't functioning during my entire visit. Bathroom flooded on my last day. No quick fix or offer of compensation.

I was moved to 3 different rooms in 3 days. 1st room - AC unit was so loud it sounded like a helicopter landing in my room. So we moved. 2nd room, came back from my daughters graduation and could not get in my room and we refused to go back down 4 flights of stairs bc the elevator was out, so maid let us in. I go to the bathroom to realize my entire shower was taken apart while we were gone and there was no water. Turns out they had to turn off the water due to a leak. Anyway I tried to call down to find out what was going on, only to realize the phone doesn’t work. Then they attempted to move me back in the room I originally left bc of the noise. So then we were moved to the 3rd room ALL THE WAY to the other end of the hall and so I had to repack everything AGAIN to move. Staff was nice enough, but there was no partial refund or anything given for any inconveniences.

Please steer clear of this property. You get what you pay for. No working elevator and rooms that were not tidy. Staff tried to be accommodating with a second room on the first level. Shower was still dirty with hair bands and hair. Tried to check out one hr later due to flight issues and mobility issues. They told me they had other guests checking in they needed to accommodate. Lastly, there were maintenance materials left in all around the hotel. The breakfast looked good and the coffee was good. The breakfast prep staff were very nice.

Stairs up to room. Also AC was cold but wouldn’t stay on long so room would get very Hot. Definitely take a fan if you get hot easily

The rooms were renovated, the staff is very friendly - specially Sam, the location is convenient - close to The Domain and prices are very competitive. The elevator has been out of service for a couple weeks, but I got a ground floor room. I had an issue with cleaning, but the front office attendant managed it very well.

Excellent customer service, front desk, kitchen and housekeeping staff, very friendly, nice and polite. Great room, super clean and everything works. Not a thing.

Spacious bright room with very comfortable bed fitted with crisp linens. Kitchen adequately fitted out and even with new soap and sponge. Seating areas and patio very pleasant with huge windows looking out to pool . Breakfast mostly not our taste but probably good for most. Have booked this hotel several times and probably will any time visiting Austin . Awesome location - very central yet set in the trees.

When I arrived the staff was rude I was told 2 pm check in and was pushed back to 4pm which had my inconvenienced, the room was okay but there were bugs (roaches).

Everything was great minus the elevator being broken. The laundry facilities also didn’t work as needed clothes were soaking wet after wash & dryer took a few times do fully dry clothes.

Elevator not worming

Great location by a Target. Everything is reasonably close distance of travel. The renovations are clear and it looks wonderful, bed is comfy and the room was cozy to stay in. Seems like the people who stayed in the room before us may have damaged the room a bit, but i reported it. $75 dollars for a pet deposit is kinda steep but it seems the norm these days.

Clean room, very kind staff

Although the issue was resolved by front desk, its hard to not comment on it. Initially, we booked for a queen studio and were at first impressed with the hotel. Upon very little inspection, meaning- being more aware of surroundings- there were at minimum 5 dead roaches located throughout the room. Simply plain as day out in the open. Imagine the ones we would have found if we attempted to look for them. One near the stove, three spread across the floors, one located slightly under the bed, and one in the bathroom. The front desk upon notice did upgrade our room and offer a fresh pair of sheets as compensation. But the room differences were clear as day. The new room smelled more fresh, lacked roaches on genuine inspection, and for the most part was satisfactory. The previous roach room- did not smell as freshly cleaned. Definitely satisfied with staff, the elevator was out of service at the time- amenities looked well kept and breakfast was fairly good and offered variety each day.

I enjoyed my stay as the hotel was pet friendly and I had my Cavapoo with me. My only disappointment was the fact that the elevator was not working.

They do not have a working elevator and the building has 4 floors.

First, the hotel does not provide cleaning service proactively. During my entire stay, I barely received any housekeeping service（ I know they say will do it every 7 days , but still quite different from other ) The front desk staff were generally okay in terms of attitude. However, the noise level in the hotel was very poor. I could hear frequent dog barking from the hallway, which made it difficult to rest. Another unpleasant experience was that I was woken up by a phone call from the front desk in the afternoon. They told me that a guest downstairs had complained about noise, saying I was jumping in my room. In reality, I was asleep at that time. This suggests that the staff did not verify the situation themselves and simply relied on the complaint without checking. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.

That I was able to cancel for free The elevators were out and I had a guest who isn’t able to climb 3/4 floors of stairs. Not good.

The best part about my stay was meeting Angel!!! He was so concerned and did everything he could to better my stay!!! He was so apologetic for everything that went wrong!!! I also enjoyed meeting the lady that will become manager. She was also apologetic about the pool. The elevator being down and having to be moved to the first floor! The room not being as cleaned as I would have liked! The room being hot at night and cold in the morning! The worst part was the uncleanliness of the pool!

Check-in was very easy, staff was friendly. Room was fairly clean. Location was ideal for what we had planned. The included-breakfast had great selection! The elevator was down and there were signs that stated, but we were not told at check-in directly. We were told we were able to get a 2nd floor room, which the staff member was very eager about, I didn't understand why until we tried to go up the elevator with the suitcase dolly. That's when it clicked that the elevators were down and why he was eager to advise he got us a room on the second floor. So this was a negative/turned positive for us. The room was also right at the stairwell, so carrying our luggage up the stairs was not as bad as it could've been. We book a queen suite that included the bedroom in a separate room so that our daughter could enjoy the tv during downtime, and we still had one in the room. This was great, except that every time she'd change the channel in the living room, it would change ours in the separate bedroom. I think this was because both tvs were installed on the same wall so the bedroom tv was picking up the sensor? It was mildly inconvenient. The room had a slight smell to it upon entry when we arrived and when we'd leave for our activities and come back, but that would go away after adjusting ac temp and airing the room out by opening the window.

Not too far from the Domain so lots of places to eat and shop. Outside paint needs a refresh and you have to pay to park there over night ($5).

The elevator was not working when I arrived. The front desk clerk did carry my luggage up to the third floor. All of the staff were friendly, but the gentleman working the breakfast area was the friendliest and always had smile on his face.

Also noticed breakfast was still being served after 9 when previously stated it ends at 8:30. Left property for breakfast after 8:30 and found it was still being served when I returned. There was one day breakfast was canceled last minute. Very little effort was made to put our easily available food They could have just put out yogurt and bagels along with fruit, even if there were personnel issues. Breakfast could be served for a bit longer each day. Why did we have to play for parking? Otherwise it was ok.

I have stayed in many hotels and I have to say that this is my first time staying at a Sonesta hotel. The staff and the service was outstanding. The hotel was top-notched in all areas. I can't believe that I have never heard of Sonesta hotels. With that said, I will always book with Sonesta.

The hotel is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I like the room amenities... nice to have a decent size fridge and stove etc. If i were to stay for longer would definitely take advantage of this. The only drawback for me was the pet hair that i got on my clothes when seated on the couch. I would have liked to have a swim before breakfast. Limiting pool hours from 10am to 10pm prob works for vacationers. I chose this hotel because there was a pool. Overall though i had a great stay. Keep up thy excellent service.

This place exceeded our expectations. The room was big, comfy, and overall felt like home. My only negative thing to say was that we had to wait quite some time to check in and then check out as no one was at the desk. Once someone attended me, they were so nice. Great place to stay. This is my second time at this location, before it was under another name. My one complaint is the toilets sit to low otherwise it’s a good place to stay. I did not partake in breakfast bc it’s over to early. Breakfast should last until 10:00am

The property was overall fine. The breakfast hours are too short, it ends at 8:30 am during the week. Ridiculous if on vacation. The coffee maker in room did not work either. Cannot get coffee or tea after those hours. There were only 2 towels in the pool area for anyone going to the pool.

The staff were all friendly- like they seemed like they actually enjoyed their job. The room was great- clean, comfy, and the upgrade to the double room double bathroom suite was really worth it. The grill outside was clean. The pool area was clean and not busy. There was a fire out outside, and a full basketball court that was really new and nice. The only complaint is that being in the second floor we could hear people above us and they happened to be awake in the middle of the night often. Definitely coming back to this place. Walking distance to Whole Foods too.

The staff were all friendly- like they seemed like they actually enjoyed their job. The room was great- clean, comfy, and the upgrade to the double room double bathroom suite was really worth it. The grill outside was clean. The pool area was clean and not busy. There was a fire out outside, and a full basketball court that was really new and nice. The only complaint is that being in the second floor we could hear people above us and they happened to be awake in the middle of the night often. Definitely coming back to this place. Walking distance to Whole Foods too.

I had a great stay at Sonesta during my weeklong business trip. The staff were friendly, polite, and accommodating. I arrived a bit early for check-in and the front desk manager was kind enough to accommodate me and made sure my room was ready! I really appreciated that gesture! I also liked that the room was spacious. Pillows were soft, mattress not bad for a good night rest. Breakfast wasn't too bad, but could be improved (no fruits were served except bananas).The area was nice and quiet and seemed safe. I wouldn't mind staying there again!

Great place to stay! Loved my stay and was close to perfect until the last minute. Requested late check up due to late flight the day after my arrival. All was well until I come in from the pool card deactivated so went to the desk and the guy was extremely rude. Escorted me to my room to tell me they have shut down the rooms due to construction in sprinkler heads. Was very pushy for me to leave immediately when I had 2+ more hours before my planned departure per an additional charge. Somewhere there was a disconnect in staff communication. So showered quickly and rushed to be out. Not pleasant!

The staff was great and helpful. They did bring in some dining chairs for us to sit on and the beds were very comfortable. We got vouchers for a meal and we got free parking for the inconvenience so the hotel manager did his best to make us comfortable and to make up for not having our original booking for the Riverwalk room with a balcony.

The pictures looked good and the budget was great so we took a risk...and regret it! First, we checked in late and the front desk gentleman was not friendly. but the real issue was cleanliness and comfort. The room was "cleaned" but the floors had dirty on them, the bathroom was old and tired and they had HUGE cockroaches running around. It was scary they were so big! Then the bed, is so uncomfortable our back and neck hurt each morning. The good thing was the nice refrigerator and freezer for ice, etc. We will paying more to stay someplace different.

From drain. It was huge like a water bug. Go to Breakfast the next morning, dead and alive roaches by the window across from tv. These were small house roaches. I tell quietly tell the front desk because I did not want to cause a stir. Go back to my room a roach in the tub. Yea I was over it. Clean, no trash around, but they have some type of infestation problem in the drain or around the perimeter.

The bed was super comfortable! Everything was super clean! Will definitely stay here again!

I was greeted by the FD agent with a friendly personal welcome to the hotel and ready to check me in. He was very through and hit all the points he should have. I believe the manager on duty came out and welcomed me. This was very refreshing for a mid-level hotel. I work for a luxury hotel company but do not stay at luxury hotels. My wife and I do not like all the fluff. For us it is all about a place that is friendly, safe, sleep, shower and go the next day. Your hotel hit all those point we needed. We are now a fan and will book with your hotel company is available.

The staff were amazingly helpful. Everyone was so nice! Parking was easy and the area was safe and quiet with minimal traffic ( by Austin’s standards). Bed was extremely comfortable and the room was super clean. Conveniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping centers.

We were only there for a short stay, but the suite had everything you need for an extended stay. Great staff. The breakfast bar had a good selection of food. There was a nice dining area.

If you are more than 2 people or 2 couples, the room we got with the double bedroom was awesome and affordable. Also had a small kitchen area, which was awesome, and if you wanted to save money cook while in the room. You just have to bring your own pans and other items. But its there.

Good property, decent for the price. King bed with 1 bedroom suites was nice. Staff were great. Breakfast was good as well. A bit old appliances and old switches were kept after the renovation didn’t make much sense but we didn’t mind that.

Amazing hotel. We got the 2 bedroom suite it was so spacious and fantastic. Each room had its own huge tv, and their own bathroom which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was amazing. Even with no waffle maker. All the employees made us feel welcomed. And for the down side, the hallway and elevator was very warm. The dishes in the room were not to clean but they give you dish soap and a sponge. But we got over that because the hotel was amazing. We will come back for sure. Could use a Keurig in the room, but that's ok too we always bring our own.

The room itself was decent the fact that it had doors to divide the living room was nice we were there for leisure but the fact that it was so hot at the hotel we had to check out and stay somewhere else! The elevator was like a suana, the hallways were so hot and stuffy. I advised the staff but he said yes, it’s always hot here so we decided to check out and stay somewhere else

The outdoor pool had a fireplace and a basketball court... This was a great stay The staff were friendly and well knowledge about the area. Breakfast was great different items on the menu on different days but basically your breakfast at any hotel stay. If I'm going back to Austin I'm definitely coming back to this sonesta.

Kids and I had a great time the kitchen was cool I used it a couple times the bed was comfortable and I liked that the showers and things had soaps shampoo conditioner lotion the stuff you need yet sometimes forget, if I had to pick one set back... I wish the pool was a little bigger

Amazing as always, Sonesta ES is our go to when traveling to Austin. It's WONDERFUL. I'm a customer of this hotel for life. It's a great place for a weekend stay or longer ESPICALLY if you are traveling with pets.

I found this place by accident. I was going to stay at another facility, but it was unclean and unsafe, and found this gem. The people were friendly, the breakfast was lovely, the neighborhood and location was safe an convenient. I would stay here again when I next come to Austin.

We loved our stay here, we just wish we could have turned the AC to 68°. This is Austin in the summer and it was hot at night.

Quiet, small, quaint hotel with a homey feel. Rooms are well equipped for a long stay, and clean. Staff are friendly. They are quite aggressive about check out so make sure you’re out of the room by 11:05am or you will get a phone call and a visit from housekeeping.

First time you experience Sonesta and it far exceeded our expectation! Every staff person we encountered was so personable, friendly, professional and helpful! It seems like years since we encountered this level of interaction from service industry staff. We've gotten used to setting our standards low - that's how awful it's been. So thank you!!!

I am severely allergic to cats and dogs. When I got to our room I could tell by the smell that there had been pets staying there. I went to the front desk and asked to be moved to a room that hadn't had animals in it. She said that all the rooms were pet friendly. I looked at the description again and couldn't find any mention of all the rooms accommodating pets. We left right away and will not be staying there again. There should be ample warnings when someone is making a reservation that the Sonesta Suites are not friendly to people with allergies to animals!
