The staff was atrocious.

Breakfast, location, pool, cleanliness I received an email stating check in was at 3 but when I got there I was told it was 4.

room was met expectations, clean a little technical with the TV. I'm not a fan of technology but it was fine. the only thing I can really complain about would be the tightness and gloominess of the garage; elevator was lit up. I felt bad that on another floor that evening someone seem to be smoking something, your staff was already investigating it. All in all, I had a very good stay.

Close to the Univ of Texas. The parking garage parking can be tight for trucks or SUV’s but take it slow. The breakfast was great with many options.

Overall a good Hotel and would recommend it to family and friends.

I like to stay in that hotel because of its proximity to UT Austin. I can park my car and walk wherever I need to get to at the university. Their breakfast is excellent, too.

Nice place to stay. Staff is amazing, very clean establishment. The only draw back is having to pay $40 a day for parking. Parking should be free for paying guests or at least heavily discounted. I know the area probably doesn’t allow for free parking but $40 a day on top of paying for the room is insane.

Continental breakfast was delicious and it was located so close to the capital which allowed for some ease when planning the day. The night time receptionist was kinda rude. The woman who worked in the day was very helpful and accommodating.

I did enjoy myself. The area was nice clean rooms. Staff was friendly except for the night people breakfast prefer real eggs but other than that enjoyed everything else parking was OK overall I enjoyed it. It was a good place to say.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located. The staff was amazing and breakfast was great. My only complaint is the stupid TV. We could never get it to work. If I chose live TV it wouldn't do anything and it would not let me sign in to Netflix even though it showed it as it said to wasn't connected to Internet but didn't give me an option to connect. We were only there 1 night for a concert so I didn't bother asking them to fix it for me, but it was definitely an inconvenience when we got back from concert and wanted to chill out for a bit before we went to sleep

It was a good stay for me, there was a ceiling fan in the room which was unusual but good feature, wud have prefered a small fridge in the room.

The staff is always welcoming and ready to answer any questions. It’s a plus that its within walking distance of Moody Center.

Beautiful hotel very clean The only reason I gave this hotel a low rating is because of one person. I will not go into detail but if the staff is able to work with people of all nationalities, then they should not be working here. The stay would have excellent had I not encountered such a rude worker. So I will not stay here again. The saying is true “One bad apple spoils the whole bunch”

The location is excellent with proximity to all event centre's. The hotel room is spacious clean and the queen beds were comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. Only the hallway carpet needs cleaning.

It was a great stay, the room was very spacious and clean, the breakfast had many options.

Great hotel, clean and friendly staff. The gym was clean and had enough equipment for a good workout. Breakfast was extremely good, fresh and hot. It was also close to the Moody Center which allowed us to walk to the George Strait concert. Parking was also convenient and very well secured. Great experience!

I stayed at the H.I. downtown to attend a conference nearby and my overall experience was positive. I was greeted at the front desk by a friendly and helpful staff member and provided with 2 free bottles of spring water for my 2-night stay. The parking was easy to navigate and I felt safe in the parking garage. My room was a corner room with a balcony and was quite spacious and clean. I did not eat the free breakfast because that was also provided at the conference I attended down the street. My only complaints were: 1.) the very slow elevator, and 2.) the noise you would expect to hear staying in a property in the heart of downtown. I would stay at this property again for future conferences and recommend it to others! Barb M.

Staff was amazing super kind. Door battery was low so could not get into room. Had to go back and forth throughout the day until maintenance arrived. Other than that the stay was great. Room was big and spacious couldn’t hear anything so it made sleeping great!

The location was perfect in distance to UT campus and to the medical school as well. I felt safe walking around the area of the hotel as a woman traveling alone. The front desk people were so kind and made sure I could get into my room even when the card pad stopped working.

We loved it here. It’s recently renovated. Great care was taken to give it a homey, texas feel. The staff are great and so attentive. The free breakfast was better than expected. We enjoyed the pool and balcony. Parking was easy and felt so safe. Great stay.

Great breakfast with lots of options to choose from. Clean and comfortable. The only thing we were dissapointed about was the pool was outdoors and not heated so we couldn't use it. Other than that everything was fine.

My room, an accessible room, had a beautiful high ceiling and cold refrigerator. Unfortunately neither phone worked, the A/C didn’t work and required a complete rip & replace of the HVAC system. There is one microwave for public use located by the front desk is very small and has LOW wattage. Each staff member we encountered was kind and helpful.

Stayed here for one night. We had a concert to attend at Bass Concert Hall and chose this due to its close proximity and not wanting to drive back to San Antonio late at night. Parking is underground and $40 (with in/out). Rooms are clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast was a plus. Only thing I didn’t like was there was no microwave. Other than that, it was wonderful!

Friends went with me but stayed in other areas of hotel and they complained about the loudness of the doors automatically closing and slamming shut in the hallways. I had room 201 and it was buffered by the elevator and the ice machine room. So I heard nothing.

Love this Hampton property! It’s a perfect convenient stay close to the capital. Great breakfast buffet, clean modern rooms, and friendly staff. I chose to stay here again because I had a great experience 6 years ago and it was still fantastic in 2026 :)

The hotel was clean and the free breakfast was like you would expect. They only had one working elevator and it was game day (Texas Longhorns football) so we were all waiting awhile to go up or down. The AC in my room made a loud clicking noise every time it came on and several clicking sounds when it went off.

Additionally, the pool area doesn’t have any sun loungers. Just upright chairs and couches which I found pretty odd. Other than that, it’s a great spot for a visit to Austin!

Rose at check in, was absolutely wonderful. She went above and beyond to communicate with me regarding reservation issues, that were out of her control, and was simply so sweet when I checked in! She also helped with information about surrounding areas.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was committing for a specific date--last night instead of the date I was looking fior(Sept 18-20). Since you provide no phone numbers I was unable to call bacj & I lost $90. Therefore I selected a different hotel foir the dates I will be in Austin, Your site was very confusing to navigate. I got this hotel because it’s very close to UT Austin University…they charge $40 to park inside their parking garage per night. There is no where to park close to the hotel. Very limited so it’s worth paying this. Breakfast is good…omelette, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, oatmeal, bagels…a lot of variety. As of today they were renovating the outside of hotel but no disturbances inside. I will be back.

We came in town for the Band Together Texas event. The hotel and staff were amazing. Friendly and accommodating. It was very clean from the lobby to the rooms. The free buffet breakfast was also wonderful. They had everything from eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, fried potatoes, oatmeal with all the fixings, waffle/pancake station to make your own with a large variety of fixings, bagels, fresh fruit, muffins, a variety of coffee, tea, juices and more. I was impressed. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. But there was no room safe and the controls for the a/c seemed hard to work. The room was very clean, hats off to the cleaning staff.

Excellent hotel! The hotel is very clean, rooms and Lubby included. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The buffet style breakfast was amazing with so much variety . We loved everything about the hotel and we will be back!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Wonderful staff. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was one of the most impressive spreads I've seen in quite some time and was included, which made it even more impressive. Parking was easy. Everything was fantastic. My only comment would be to maybe add seating to the balconies, but the fact that we had one was such a bonus so it's more a suggestion. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here to attend a concert at the Moody center. It was clean and comfortable. The pool was small so that was disappointing for our kids, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, high ceiling hotel rooms, It has a grand lobby and breakfast area. It also has a swimming pool! Walking distance to State Capital. I would come back to stay again.

Wow! We were absolutely delighted with our stay here. Everyone was so genuinely kind and accommodating (especially the woman at the front desk). The pool was clean, the room was SO well kept, and the breakfast bar was beyond any expectations we had. We want to come back and stay again. We have never stayed in such a great Hampton Inn. Thank for giving our family a wonderful experience.

We really like the accessibility to the museums. We were able to see Bullock Museum and the capitol. The area is safe and not a lot of tourists. There are a lot of construction projects around and some of the shops were closed. Overall, the rooms were spacious and provided a safe place to rest. The pool area is small but the views are great!

The place stinks like a locker room or homeless camp. The parking garage stinks. The elevators stink. The halls stink. Pitiful.

The bathroom was gross - it looked like it was not fully clean. Otherwise it was fine.

It was very quiet, respectful service and I would recommend this hotel based solely on it's staff. They're great!

Staff was very rude to me asking for 15 minutes for a late checkout just to gather our belongings. Let it be noted I was in line waiting for about 15 minutes behind the front desk employee small talking other customers which I have no problem with but then allowed someone else to cut in front of me so that they could check out and continued to have a conversation with them disregarding me and my time for a simple question and then go be answered rudely. I understand there’s rules and I don’t mind that but, how do you talk to everyone else that has questions in front of me with smiles, jokes, laughter and your demeanor completely changed because of me? Was it my skin tone? Was it my tattoos? I’m paying a room like everyone else here and I do well off for myself as well just to be mistreated this way. Oh well I guess it’s an Austin thing.

This is truly an exceptional hotel. The staff makes you feel so st home! It’s perfectly located near UT. We spent mornings walking through the beautiful campus. The breakfast is so good and the setup makes it easy to enjoy the breakfast in a comfortable setup! We can’t say enough about how nice this location is!

I was extremely pleased with the young lady working the late shift on 7/4/2025 12am-6-ish or so. She was the most pleasant and efficient, that one could ask for. After an extremely long day her willingness to help and provide stellar customer service, was much appreciated and I hope this employee is recognized. Thank you so much.

They charge $40 a night for parking, but nobody tells you that when you booked

Under construction. Bad signage for entry and check in.

The elevators were out. I have difficulty walking due the lower back injuries. But the staff did the best they could to accommodate. Also they don’t have a restaurant nor bar in the hotel.

First day only 1 elevator worked by the 3rd day both were out of order and I was on the 6th floor with my girlfriend who has asthma so that wasnt ideal and it said they offer a washer and dryer which were both out of order

Rooms were very dated and not super clean. The elevators were also broken during our stay. It was sufficient just for our one-night stay for a concert and the breakfast was good. However, we probably would not stay here again.

This was our first time staying in Austin for a concert at the Moody Center. The hotel staff was welcoming, hotel and room were clean and it was easy to get to. It was a safe and convenient walk to the location.

We had a great stay! The front desk lady was top tier! We came for a monster jam event and went out of her way to provide ear plugs for us which were definitely necessary for that event! Whenever we are in Austin I’ll book another room here again! FYI everything was near to the hotel, the capitol, UT, and Barton springs pool!! Highly recommend!!!

Very comfortable stay and good value for money (we were going to the Moody Center) even if the parking was a little pricey.

Great room. The staff, from the maids, the front desk, breakfast attendant and the manager (Rose) were all great. They have free breakfast and an alcohol bar where you can pour your own beer or wine in the evenings.

The manager (Mrs. Rose I think is her name) was VERY nice and helpful!
