Shower had mold in it, there were cracks in the ceiling, TV had no remote control, the entire grounds smelled like urine & there was trash everywhere from the homeless. I had to play outlet roulette to find one that actually had power coming to it. I went to call the front desk and the phone didnt work. I went to the front desk to ask for a remote, and the guy spent 10 minutes finding me a couple broken remotes that didnt have backs to them, he put batteries in them and told me to try them. they didnt work. we went to sleep in the bed furthest from the dead cockroach and it had a fitted sheet (it had red stains from what looked like nail polish) a top sheet, a blanket that had cigarette burns on it, and another sheet that acted as a top quilt I guess? My partner got too warm and decided we should move to the other bed as it was closer to the AC unit. We discovered this bed had a fitted sheet, but NO top sheet. Just a blanket and the sheet that went over the top. We had to take the top sheet from the other bed. we received no housekeeping for the 2 nights we were there. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!

When we arrive a man with a baseball bat was threatening a guy with a dog. We left for the night. When we returned we noticed the room did not have a remote. The night staff said they where our of them. Basically tough "s***". We later notice the room was built on a fault line. so the floor was uneven and the tiling had deteriorated. As we left in the morning we saw trash bags laying on the cement outside rooms. The night was pretty quiet. Sadly in the morning there was no breakfast. There was also not coffee service in the rooms. My wife had no cup to take her meds with. Also we noticed the night guy had probably been up all night. This hotel was probably being contracted to some homeless residents and the room probably suffered from theft. Mold had been scraped away from the roof of the shower enclosure too. Also the shower was basically a floor and curtain. To its credit the room was as clean as it could be. The bed was ok. The bed had good chargers for the phone and a good clock radio. Only body gel was offered, but it was ok to shower. The hot water was adequate. Being the hotel was inexpensive the clientele might make some folks uneasy.

I’m in central Texas to receive cancer treatment and the stay here at this place was horrible. There were no towels in the room and when we went to the front desk to ask, there were no fresh towels to give us at all because there was no housekeeping on site. The hot water did not work in our room and the floor was sticky and very dirty. They list complimentary breakfast as one of the amenities on this Expedia listing and they said they don’t do breakfast anymore. There was no TV remote and the phone in the room did not work. I would not recommend this place at all and I would like a refund or credit of some sort. They could have at least towels and hot water. I was very disappointed with this stay.

Homeless and drug abuse outside every other room, people passed out on stairs, people freestyle rapping outside my room until 4 in the morning. Trash everywhere from the parking lot to the stairs. People doing mechanic work in the spots closest to building. Just a bad look overall. Tv didn’t work either.

This was the worse experience of my life. The hotel is in a terrifying neighborhood. My room was nasty, the floors were dirty, someone else's fake eye lashes was on the sink, it reeked f marijuana. I had to ask for clean washcloths 3 times before the safe gave me some from another room. I had to asked repeatedly for my drivers license back after they keep after I checked in. If anyone has ever stayed at this dump and didn't get their license back they may still have it as they had at least 3 stacks of drivers license or id cards belonging to other ppl. The homeless is outside the door. Please don't stay here unless you like bring in sketchy areas.

I would be scared to have children or animals there.

Tried to check in at 10.30 pm after having a confirmed booking through expedia. They didnot hold the room, said all all sold out and asked us book somewhere else when we came from out of town. Such a horrible experience!! Stay away from this place, save your time, energy, patience and money.

Check in was at 3, we checked in at 4 and I was told they were almost gave my room away since I didn’t get there at 3. The bed frame broken. It was not in the safest area, but it was suitable for 1 night

They had no light bulbs in their lamps, they had no towels I had to go to the store to buy some, they had people smoking drugs outside, noisy outside the room, they had hair on the bed sheets on their shower curtain and in the shower floor, had no toilet paper I had to go buy some, I went to ask for towels and toilet paper as well as shampoo and conditioner bottles and they said they didn’t have any clean one that the cleaning crew left for the day. The staff at the front counter was rude when I went to ask why my key card wasn’t letting me back in my room to finish grabbing my things from the room to check out. I wouldn’t recommend this motel for anyone to stay in especially if you’re a clean type of person like myself. They also locked the back door where we have to go through to get to the front and they wouldn’t u lock the door even when we knocked on it for someone to open it the staff member told me we have to walk all the way around and come through the front door. He was rude all around with customers. All night long we had people yelling outside our room and honking.

Unfortunately the neighborhood was less than desirable (homeless people) leaving nearby. There was no breakfast provided as was a request in my search for a hotel.

Side note - GPS had taken us to another hotel up the street. The clerk there directed us to the Baymont. We returned to her hotel and told her of our experience. She smiled, laughed and said “Yeah when you asked for directions there I almost said “See you back shortly”. So sad because we’ve stayed at Baymont’s in the past and they’ve been wonderful. Hoping this negative review encourages ownership to update/clean up their property.

Breakfast area was filthy with cereal spilled on the counter. Milk was empty. Chairs still on top of tables. No hot water. All 4 ice machines not working.

I took the one night penalty and stayed at another hotel. After I walked in I chose not to stay there. Poor outward appearance. Smelled and noisy.

Pros: Reasonably priced, great shower and water temp, no bugs in my room at least, room set up to deter bed bugs by having metal bed frame and laminate floors, close to many things. Cons: Dirty towels (like recently used, refolded, and placed back on shelf), a weird digital glass mirror that made me feel watched, too many people wandering around the area, not enough parking. Conclusion: I’m quite sure there’s other low cost rooms in the area that I would forfeit my payment rather than stay, so this one isn’t bad enough not to stay, but it is a last resort for me.

Inside the room was mostly acceptable. The bathroom was very compact. There was very minimal room in the bathroom to dress. I have a special needs child, and the space in the bathroom was very challenging. The room's exterior (outside grounds) was very questionable for different reasons. At night, the local clientele or patrons were very loud with alcohol containers left in the parking lot. The following morning, there were bags of trash at the base of the stairs as though someone was evicted. The continental breakfast was not available within the advertised time for it. The continental breakfast area appeared to be a BYOB (bring your own breakfast). A staff member appeared to be trying to get the coffee dispenser to work. In frustration, the staff member gave up and walked away.

The location is in a shit hole with a bunch of crackheads and drug dealers. We didn’t even stay the night. We ended up sleeping in our truck because we saw multiple people carrying guns upstairs. Also lots of drug use. Everything

Hotel employee gave me a key, when I went to the room it was occupied with 4 people. The area is sketchy, and when my key failed to work to my new room, the late night employee was nowhere to be found. It wasn’t until myself and a couple other unhappy guests knocked on the “private” office door, he finally emerged, clearly having just woken up.

The place was not as described. Place was disgusting. I entered room and it was gross. Condom on the floor, pee in toilet, and room smelled of weed and cigarettes. The 2nd room he tried was not put together pillows off couch and still smelled. The front desk guy was very polite and apologized numerous times.

Asked for extra pillows, only two small ones on a king size bed. Got one extra on the following morning. Lots of homeless people wandering around. One guy was sleeping behind the ice machine.

Easy access from highway. Front office staff listens to concern. Take time to respond. They were able to give me a handicap room after one day. They need to make sure they have enough toilet paper. They need to comply with this health code for hotels everyday.

I had already put $2.00 in it and the guy seemed annoyed about giving me the $2.00 back. The police woke us up because they were told that our room was where a verbal disturbance was... it wasn't. After the police chased us out of our room for something that was going on in a different room we spent quite a while in our car, then left in the morning.

Only positive thing I can say is how close it is to the University area. (If you’re hungry, take a little drive to the nearest P.Terrys)

Never stay at this location. It was horrible in every aspect. I swear the floor has not been mopped in months. I asked them to mop it but they never did. I requested a toilet paper holder and extra towels and never received either. Keep in mind I went to front desk 4 times trying to obtain these items.

The surrounding area did not feel very safe or welcoming. Breakfast was advertised, but it was extremely limited — only cereal, toast, and coffee. The staff is great. They were all so friendly and welcoming. I had an extended stay there and they made me feel at home. There was limited parking on the side of the building my room was on but not a deal breaker. Great value along with great customer service.

My room smelled like cigarette smoke and we had an user roll of toilet paper.

TV, you pretty much have to a rocket scientist to just turn it on.

Beds looked like they had been slept on and weren't even bothered to remake or change sheets. The bath tub was so dirty... looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in months. The only option for breakfast was cereal even though their site states "hot breakfast" including eggs, waffles, and sausage. Everything was disappointing and dirty.

I could write an essay on my stay here .. it was absolutely terrible and I plan on handling this legally . So I can’t say much. One thing I will add is that the cleaning lady pretty much stalked me from 8pm .9pm . 10pm and then again at checkout knocking on my door every single hour . Why? This stay was something out of a nightmare .

I booked a room with a fridge and microwave. I checked in and the room doesn’t have a microwave or fridge…BUT DOES HAVE ROACHES and ANTS! Room 242 has roaches and ants. I let the hotel clerks know at the beginning and ending of our stay, and they didn’t give me another room to stay in. BE ADVISED HOTEL STAFF KNOWS ABOUT THE ROACHES AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING STEPS TO GET RID OF THE ROACHES! There are lots of cracks in the ceiling, walls, floors and doors too. People were noisy at night when it should be quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. People smoke cigarettes to close to your room door so you smell it too. There was broken glass on the steps, walk areas and parking lot. Breakfast is continental not hot breakfast and get there early or the coffee and food runs out quick. The utensils are not in plastic and uncovered that’s not sanitary. The microwave in the common area was old and filthy. I won’t stay at this hotel again. Housekeeping was courteous and changed our towels daily. Maintenance fixed our dying battery on the door very quickly!

Website says hot breakfast. They offer toast or cereal along with a few fruits for breakfast. AC not in good working order. Floor warped and nasty. Pool closed before dark. Person at the desk barely spoke English and barely got off of his own personal call to answer my questions. I’ve machine on my floor was not working, so I had to go downstairs to use theirs.

In the room I stayed in, there appeared to be mold in the bathroom. The counter top didn't look thoroughly cleaned. The front door warped because it isn't able to close all the way without the additional lock.

When we went to park for our room it was sketchy. As we were walking to our room we saw so many roaches. My fiance thought they were going to ask if we needed help with our luggage. Then once in our room, there wasn’t extra lock latch to secure the door. The master lock barely was able to latch in the hole, but the door was so loose. You could see the light beaming around the door in the morning since we got there at 11pm. Crickets in the bathroom. The little closet in the room had random stuff shoved in it and it smelt so bad. The one staff we dealt with was nice. We won’t be staying here again.

The property looks NOTHING like the images shared online, none of the appliances work, and it is very old and run down.

Had to call maintenance about plumbing. No hot breakfast was available all 5 mornings we were there. Coffee was not great in lobby but also often ran out and agent did not attempt to brew more. Housekeeping did not come for 3 out of the 4 days we stayed. Asked for more towels on day 3 and got them along with attitude and excuses. Parking is very limited. Advised to use handicapped spaces “for convenience.” No shade/umbrellas in pool area at all.

Horrible stay. First "non-smoking " room smelled like weed. So changed rooms and one of the locks was broken, then handle fell off shower, then roaches crawling around on the floor and when I saw a roach on the bed, i packed up and left but could get any refund, not even a partial refund. never again!! On top of that the noise people were making outside until 3 am made it impossible to sleep.

Had a issue with the remote control and toilet. Used the txt msg that was sent to my phone to communicate the issues with the room. Staff never responded. Went to the desk to get a missing remote and was given a broken remote. Said that the maintenance person would bring another one. Maintenance never came. Trash was already in the trash can we we got in the room. Parking was a nitemare. Breakfast wasn't anything more than cereal and toast

While the staff is friendly and helpful...i would strongly advise you to keep driving a block and stay at the fairfield inn my marriot. They had no towels for my kids after they went swimming....infact we had no towels in the room at all. Had to ask the front office and then they only gave us one. There are holes in the walls, curtans, ans ceiling. And while maybe some updates have been done there is much more that need to be done.....i know its a cheap hotel....but also know theres a REASON its cheap.

I asked for a downstairs room because I have bad knees I was given an upstairs room with no elevator. When I returned from my event just after 1:00 am there was only 3 other vehicles at the motel. The accommodations did not match the photos provided, not by a long shot. The room itself was rather.. dilapidated. Things like lampshades missing, what looked like blood stains on the shower curtain, the bathroom door couldn’t shut properly, etc. Police cruisers were often in the parking lot, which didn’t make us feel especially safe overall. At check in we were told about the continental breakfast, but the following morning there wasn’t “hot” breakfast at all.

No shower curtain. Water not draining in bath tub. toilet seat shaky - only one hinge instead of two. Trash lying outside the room. Could not stay there for more than an hour. The promised staff that were to come by to fix things never showed up. The frontdesk person Omprakash Kittu promised to refund the money as we checked out immediately.

This place is a ++++hole! I had a homeless lady living in front of my room (hotel has exterior room doors). I walked out at 10am in the morning to watch her pull down her sweats and defecate in the parking lot. There were several other homeless on and off the property which were using drugs in plain site and sleeping outside the empty rooms. Lots of late night traffic in parking lot and shady looking characters. A few cars on parking lot with flat tires that have been there awhile. None of the ice machines worked. I booked on hotels.com and knew there was no refund, so I left a day early in disgust. Don't stay unless your desperate or want to do a study on the homeless or observe human behavior while on drugs.

On entering the parking lot, flashing lights of a police SUV popped up behind me. I stepped out of my rental van, and a couple police officers yelled at me to get back in the car. They came over, ID-ed me, and were soon joined by another police SUV with flashing lights, with more cops. One officer claimed that I had failed to use my turn signal to enter the lot. Lame excuse, since it was 10 pm, and there was no traffic. Anyway, they insinuated that I was there to buy drugs or pay for sexual services. I calmly explained to them that I was a guest there, that I and my team had flown in from around the world, to perform at an event, and that I just wanted to check in, get to my room, and sleep. That was just the welcome. Also, briefly: no soap, no shampoo, zero hangers, broken lights, filthiest room I've ever seen, blood on floor, feces on sidewalks, screams and fights all night, every night, brawl in the lobby, gangsters everywhere.

The shower handle was broken and was difficult to gauge the hot water and this took additional time away from getting ready for my business meetings. The towels provided had hair strands in them and made my anxiety increase by being grossed out being touched by dirty towels since I had no time to request new ones. There was also not a blowdrier available.

Eternal the front desk ripping me off and over charging my card, than denying it (after showing my bank statement to the front desk and manager they told me to call my bank!!), to the staff not having towels???! Than demanding a deposit after checkin, I refused so they refused to give me a copy of my key locking me out and forcing me to leave and go to another hotel. Speaking to hotels . Com for over an hour the hotel refunded my money and graciously gave me a $2.39 credit to my account for my inconvenience, only after speaking to two separate agents and having to prove to send them my bank statements as well twice. I still have yet to decide which part was worse. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME AT THIS LOCATION! They are clearly just trying to make as much money as possible without providing any services at all. And as for the complimentary breakfast, after seeing the state of the bathroom in my room I didn’t have the stomach to put anything they were responsible for making in my mouth. But one of the prostitutes working in the parking lot told me that the breakfast was good mainly because the pastries they served were soft, due to the fact that she had few remaining teeth, the menu was perfect for her.

They took a 25 deposit at the hotwl and i was told it is not a charge but a hold and the money would be released back onto my card at check out. That did not happen they charged my card and i had to request a frfund tgrkugh my bank now have to wait 14 days to get it back. This place is a nasty plase we cut our trip short. i've stayed in other Baymont hotels that were fantastic This one seemed like a rent the room by the hour.Type of place. every morning and every night we walked by a dirty used condom underneath the stairwell. the shower was dirty on arrival and no hot water.And when you turned the knob to turn the shower on, it fell off.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Former LaQuinta now Baymont. Transient and drug dealers all around. Car was broken into. Owner and staff barely speak English and had no answers to anything. Didn’t have breakfast, WiFi didn’t work. Stairs and sidewalks have so much gunk and gum on them can’t walk. Embarrassing for the Wyndham chain. Should be closed down.

It should be a non-smoking room, but I got a room with very strong smoke smell. Breakfast ran out and not being replenished even within breakfast time.

Booked thinking this was a La Quinta but surprised to find out it's a different name. Looks like it was a La Quinta but that name had too many bad reviews so they changed it. The location is close to downtown but right off the highway and they didn't spend any money on sound proofing. Also it's a pretty questionable area, lots of arguing late at night and hookers walking around. There isn't any real breakfast, just two kinds of cereal, OJ, and watered down coffee. The room was fairly clean but looked like it was remodeled by someone who didn't know what they were doing, for starting to peel up and not well managed. When we first got to the room we noticed that there was no microwave or mini fridge and no remote. We asked for one and never got it after four days. I would highly recommend you find a different hotel. It's sad to see these little hotels get run into the ground, as I grew up staying at them.

And in front of our room there were homeless people....Needless to say our stay was worrisome and frightening!!!!

I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you were stuck for a place to stay. I booked it because rooms in the city were expensive because of F1, College Football and music festival happening, and Baymont was still affordable. I ended up moving rooms 3 times to get into one that was acceptable. In each room something was broken or didn't work. The third room was the only one that had a bar fridge and microwave. There's no in-room coffee maker; the menu on the tv's don't work, so you have to scan through all the channels to try to find something worth watching. It's close to major highway overpasses, so is noisy - not great if you're a light sleeper. The breakfast arrangement is weird - the lobby has basic bread, toasters, juice and weak coffee. If you toast bread, there are no knives to spread butter, etc. Front desk just grunted when I mentioned this twice and they did nothing about it. They advertise a pool, but it always had a 'closed sign' on the entry gate. If you want a hot breakfast, you have to walk to the other end of the hotel and upstairs, where a woman makes you a waffle and scrambled eggs and passes it through a window - but there's no cutlery to go with it. You have to walk back to the lobby where there's no knives - ever! There were seedy characters hanging around...overall it was a pretty bad hotel experience. The only positives were that the housekeepers were nice and the rooms had laminate floors, so they looked reasonably clean. The bed was also comfortable.

Felt unsafe and very run-down. The door looked like it had been kicked and does not shut properly. The curtain was disgustingly dirty (by the AC). There were bugs (that looks like gnat) in the bathroom. At night, it was noisy and sounded like either people fighting outside our door. It also sounded like somebody tried to open the next door room. Outside when we checked out, somebody were smoking weed. If it wasn’t just for the night since, I would have left. If you’re traveling with family; RUN!!! Felt soooo unsafe.

Did not have hot water. Called the front desk. It took us 15 minutes. When the second person went into the shower there was no hot water again. Also all night long there was a bubbling sound coming from the sink. The property is not well maintained.

No hot water in the shower - was not addressed after being reported. This is an old dilapidated La Quinta which is showing its age.

Check in went smoothly and front desk attendant was very helpful. However, when I requested more towels, I was told to wait until later in the morning and ask someone with the housekeeping cart. They were not to be found, so I followed up at the front desk and was told to go to the laundry and request there however laundry was locked and unavailable to me, I eventually got my towels, but they were not helpful to meet my needs. Continental breakfast was a poor attempt and the coffee was so weak that I had to go to the convenience store in the parking lot to have my morning coffee.

Found a disgusting plastic bag in the bed, sheets had not been changed and were filthy, shower leaking nonstop, bathroom walls disgusting, huge black crickets in the room, trash overflowing and what looked to be, uh, ‘adult services’ work and drug dealing in the parking lot, random guys walking laps all night, loud music playing from cars at 3AM, just bad, bad, bad. Avoid this place at all costs, neighboring hotels seemed fine but this one was some sort of hub for late night shady activity.
