This is a great place to stay especially with kids.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were a bit firm for my taste, but overall a great experience. We will book again.

The hotel was clean but it now charges for the buffet breakfast, which was a surprise.

Front desk did their job is about all I can say. The hot tub was broken. No pool towels. Every room in the place was freezing cold. The room was clean and comfortable. The one thing that is the attitude of staff that needs to change.

They also went out of their way to stash our cooler of freshly caught crappie in their commercial freezer after an unexpected delay left us worried about our fish thawing. That's above and beyond by any measure. Rooms were very clean and the beds were genuinely comfortable. The indoor pool was a hit with the kids, and impressively the water was refreshingly cold even though the pool area itself was warm on a nearly 100 degree Amarillo day. Perfect combination for stressed out kids stuck in a city they didn't plan to be in. Would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it without hesitation to anyone passing through Amarillo.

Freeway noise is significant, and without the promise of an accessible pool we would not have chosen to stay on the scrappier east end of Amarillo. Breakfast bar is a decent deal at $10, with very friendly breakfast staff. Room is fine, a bit of damage to walls that is par for the course, but good spaces around beds for wheelchair mobility.

Martin helped bring up a lift chair for my disabled husband and set it up for him. The young Hispanic girl and the red headed girl at the desk were extra sweet. Very helpful & accommodating.

Our room was a suite which was spacious and quiet. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was much nicer than a continental. You could get a made to order omelet.

We liked the breakfast and would pay the $10 for it as it was very good

Was told to stay in the room and they would come up with new keys. It took like 30 minutes in a hot room till I left downstairs to see what the hold up was. Front desk was on her phone. Very inconvenient since it was late at night and we just wanted to sleep and rest.

After driving all day and arriving very late at night, Brianna was so accommodating! The next morning we had breakfast and Elvia was just the sweetest. They truly made a difficult trip so much better. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting or passing through Amarillo.

Location and breakfast Long black hairs all over floor & carpet. Toenail clipping and dead flies on bathroom floor. Staff didn’t have anyone to clean room properly, so they gave me dustpan/brush to do myself. Staff did offer to switch rooms, but had already unpacked toiletries, etc. carpets were not vacuumed, tiled floors were not brushed/mopped.

Always stay at IHG property. Staff & bar at the end of day. Nice touch Large room. No hot water , no stopper for bath tub, Dryer on 2Nd floor 2 cycle times still did not dry clothes. Chef called no restaurant on site. Ordered uber eats.

Didn’t like that you had to pay for breakfast, but whatever, we were there for the pool. The pool was adequate, but apparently if the doors aren’t propped open the fire alarm goes off. My kids had a blast and the hotel was close to the Big Texan, which is why we chose it. Not a glamorous hotel but was in budget and was great for our family of 6.

After a long day of travel, the entire staff at Holiday Inn did everything possible to assist us with any questions or concerns we had as well as provide us with a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Thank you.

We had to change room three times. The last room, the refrigerator didn’t work. In the second room the shower didn’t work. In the first room, there was dog hair all over the place.

Great location we loved the room! The room was very comfortable, the bed was perfect! The bartender at the bar was making some awesome drinks! The only drawback was there was no air vent in the bathroom! Will definitely stay there again!!

Great hotel except VERY poor lighting in the bathroom. The back lighting around the bathroom mirror was barely on, making putting on makeup nearly impossible. Only 2 well-lit areas: the bathtub and the entry way, which had no mirror.

My only issue is that breakfast was not included with my stay. Had I known this I would have stayed elsewhere. The breakfast was no different than any other hotel that would have had it included in the cost of staying there. It was definitely not worth the extra $10 a person. Its my fault for not checking when I made the booking.

First room didnt have the couch like purchased and had some type of what appeared to be bird poop on the floor. But after notifying the front desk, we were immediately sent to the right room and issue was resolved. Bathroom fan didnt work.

I dropped my iPad Pro in the elevator, on the second floor, as we entered an the iPad fell out of its case and fell into the slot at the front of the elevator shaft. No one could he retrieve it till Monday. I guess there is nothing left but pieces.

Room was dirty. Not quite the “Suite” I thought we were getting. Got there late. Didn’t feel like complaining since we were only there one night. We made it work, but wouldn’t stay here again when we come through Amarillo again.

The place is pretty beat up. Most of the floor tiles were eitger craced or loose. The bathroom door is a barn door type and refused to stay closed without a rag stuck it. The towel hooks were only held to the wall by the wall paper. Lastly, the room didn't come close the one pictured on the site.

Love this place. No big complaints other than parking gets full quick so you may have to park on the side. Clean, comfy, good sleep. One of our stops here the elevator was broke and we had to use the staff elevator but things happen, can’t condemn them for that. This is our go to hotel and it’s near the Big Texan where we enjoy dinner.

This was the most awful stay during my road trip so far. When I entered my room, I immediately noticed that in every corner it was dirty. Upon checking the bathroom, I was greeted by silverfish in the bathtub and more dush and stuff in every single corner, hairs in the sink and all over in the bathroom.

So didn't get to eat the egg. Air conditioner made a large noise each time it turned on and off. Woke us up numerous times during the two nights. Bathroom door was squeaky and they sprayed WD-40 on it. Better. Light bulbs needed changing, door slammed shut hard,

Loved this stay! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. Our room was lovely and had comfortable beds. Very happy with this choice and will stay again for our future trips to Dallas!

In all my years of traveling, I have never had to pay for breakfast at a HIExp.... It's only $5 but it's the principal

The air conditioner in our room wouldn't cool the room down, there was a terrible smell in the room, the air conditioner made a crackling sound all night, and the smoke detector above the bed let out a bright green flash every minute of so. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel.

This hotel was a newer hotel, less than 5 years old , it had a buffet breakfast included for 5$ a person , the staff was very helpful and understanding , and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. I would definitely be coming back again

We got to the hotel at 11:30pm and no one was working. Meaning, there were ZERO staff or employees on site. There was a sign that said they stepped away for a moment, and to call this number. We called the number and it went to voicemail. We called the hotel, and it just rang right there in front of us. After 12 calls, a child answered the phone and got the “manager”of the hotel on the phone. He said he would be there in 10 minutes. We waited and waited, and no one showed up. We had to go to another hotel at 1am with 2 children. We will never waste our time on this hotel again. If there was a fire or emergency with someone in a room, there was absolutely no one there working. Unacceptable.
