Room had no heat and FREEZING. Front desk staff provided portable heater and said would give discount but manager did not. Coffee weak and lukewarm. After spending the night in cold room, was hoping for hot coffee at least. Would not stay here again

Ac/heat was broken and made an awful noise all night, people above us made banging sounds all night … we literally got no sleep- light were missing light bulbs- looked like black mold under the sink in the bathroom

Check in staff were difficult. Problem with out room required me hanging up the room phone after 5 mins on hold to call from my cell so she would actually answer. Breakfast was stale af. Really disappointing for a brand I expect better of.

The sink in the bathroom did not drain properly. It took about 5 min to drain after washing hands. The shower curtain was not long enough so after a shower, there was water all over the bathroom floor. After sopping up the water with a towel, it was obvious that the floor was dirty. I always use Clorox wipes when entering a hotel room, this hotel room was not clean. There was an ozone generator left on the desk In the hotel room. The morning after our first night, I told the front desk person about all the problems. He looked down at a piece of paper and might’ve been writing them down or pretending to. He did not apologize or say one word so I just left. When you pay that much money for a hotel, it should be clean, the sink should function and the shower curtain should be long enough and there should not be an ozone generator in your room. We did not even get an apology, there was no response. We will never stay there again.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. The biggest issue we had arriving at midnight was the lack of the hotel desk clerk. I waited 30 minutes for someone to appear. I gathered that she was called in last minute and she did a great job jumping in the get me and the three other parties waiting checked in. This, however, shows poor management. Not likely to stay at this location again.

The bed and pillows were better than usual compared to Hampton Inn and other more pricey options.

Our only problem is we are both nearly 70 and your beds are to high for short people to get in and out of. The vacuuming was good except in the corners. I guess housekeeping did not move chair to vacuum there. The only reason we saw it was because we had to move the chaise to stand on to get into the bed.

Dirty bathroom. Bathtub stopper completely missing. Ask for rubber stopper told they didn’t have any. Mold in bathroom.

We booked last minute on a road trip and loved the convenience, safe parking lot, and accessibility to restaurants that are walking distance. It’s very clean and the staff has been very friendly.

Employees screwed up and charges my employees $600+ each on their incidental debit cards. When they went to check in they claimed we had no reservation - it was pre-paid from Hotels.com.

This property has an EV charger, but it didn't work.

Bed and pillows were great and the AC was amazing and kept the room nice and cold.

There a lot of black birds outside that made a mess everywhere including the vehicles

Our room was a little bit dirty on a few of the walls. My friend has an eagle eye and pointed out some smears on the wall next to the fridge and over on her side of the bedroom - she took the bed farthest away from the entry door.

Rude mangers. Regular staff was wonderful. Yelling about firing someone for wanting a day off in the lobby isn't the best way to keep guests.

The bathroom could use some updating

Our room was was clean but the bathroom door was broken. Bad smell when you walked in and front desk was not very friendly.

Nice hotel, no problems

The pool was ok. Hot tub was not hot. The rooms and staff were great. Made an easy stop on our way to Colorado! Highly recommend the Big Texas right next door.

For older travelers your bed was about 6 inches to high. We are not as nimble as we used to be and if short would not have been able to get on bed without help. A nonslip mat in bathtub would be a bonus too hand rails on inside wall of bathtub would be nice also

The hall floor outside the elevator needs a thorough cleaning. The grounds need trash picked up. Amarillo is very windy so trash blows in from everywhere. BUT it still needs picked up.

Desk clerk was very friendly. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was ok. Pancake machine was broken and also their refridgerator.

Just a stop over at Amarillo heading toward Dallas, This location is right off of Interstate 40, plenty of parking space and is pet friendly. Comfort is there and clean. The surrounding area is well kept and great for dogs and cats to roam around.

The property wasn't the cleanest, and you couldn't access the pool during pool hours because it was always closed for chemicals. Put the chemicals in after hours instead of having the pool closed all day! Room was not cleaned properly, my bed felt like It had crumbs in it! Could be a very nice hotel if ran properly

The room was clean and tidy. The only thing i didn't like was the shower, it felt like the water pressure was low and the shower head did not have a decent spray pattern. Overall, the stay was nice.

But, lots in the near area to drive to. I would recommend.

Pool had been shut down by the city of Amarillo. Hotel did not seem clean. Other guests were screaming in the hallway, which could be heard in our hotel room. Could hear other guests talking and crying in their rooms while in our room. Marketplace was not well stocked. Ended up not staying the night, packed up, and drove the last part of our trip home we hadn’t wanted to make until the next day.

The Chechen in woman was rude. The TV did not work. No one answered the phone when I called to request something and no one called back. For Texas, this was the most unfriendly place we?ve been in the state.

The property was clean and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. The porcelain on the tub was chipped and I was unable to sign in to the wifi system. It appeared that my last name was not entered correctly, if at all, for my room. (The desk clerk commented that she was no feeling well and could have forgotten to update the system).

Upon arrival there were thousands of birds in the trees in parking lot with thousands of birds comes thousands of bird droppings all the vehicles were covered with the droppings parking lot was covered with the bird droppings As we were registering the desk clerk never removed her headphones from her head and was on her phone for the entire time as we were leaving the next morning at 6 am the coffee was cold and no hot water for tea back to the front desk to tell the desk clerk she never got up from her chair hard to find good help these days

Staff was helpful when checking in, very friendly. You can tell the cleanliness standards are low, boogers on the walls in many obvious areas that should have easily been seen and cleaned. Very dusty in the room, the gap on the door jam was so wide you could see people in the hallway. You can tell they do the minimum to turn over the rooms, at least our room was that way.

Our smoke detector kept buzzing all night loud enough to not allow us to sleep. The room smelt like dog. Daughter had her ESA with her so I am assuming they put us in that room for a reason. When I showed the clerk the video I took of the smoke detector her response was Oh well. We are fully booked. We got absolutely no sleep. The clerk the next morning was a little more understanding after i showed her the video and they inactivated that room until they can figure out what was going on with that room.

This HIEXPRESS Hotel was out of the way but we were staying there due to their $25 Pet fee. We stay in Amarillo 6 times a year with our small dog because we travel back and forth between Austin and Denver. They’ve gone up to $40 with tax. We like HIExpress but will look for other choices in the future. The pet area was very dirty too.

Did not get room I selected was no couch bed a chaise lounger. I am a holiday express member but since I booked through Expedia nothing they would do. Then charged $35 pet fee for my 10 lb dog with tax!! Then furnace blowing cool air 30 degrees there!! Sent maintenance man worked on 30 min got warm air to blow out but when shut off cool air. Really load noise when came on screech when go off. Told her all this when I checked out because I booked with Expedia nothing they could do!! I will never stay with them again and not sure book with Expedia again as I have no garentee’s.

Outlets did not work, Tub stopper did not work, window blind was broken. Water was not hot. Towels felt like sandpaper. AC started blowing even though thermostat said 74, could not shut it off. Dog poop everywhere outside. It was obvious immediately that every corner that could be cut...was. We got the large room with sitting area, light didn't work and no television. Won't stay again. For the money, huge disappointment.

Dog barked nonstop from 8:30 to 11:00 pm in room across the hall. Front desk tried to contact dog owners. I had to get up at 4 am so didn’t get the sleep I hoped for.

Room smelt like dirty socks. Large dogs running upstairs all night. Breakfast terribly disappointing.

Everything was good, except the bathtub floor, if you take a shower be prepared to slip. It’s like a skating rink.

First room we were assigned smelled like a men's locker room. I suspect mold or similar. Lights went out in a storm about 8:30 and there was no communication from staff. Staff person was not friendly and did minimum necessary. We left to find another hotel.

Hotel was great condition but the front desk worker is very disappointment… She needs to be more polite and more training on customers care

Convenient to our trip

Very conveniently located close to the airport and excellent home base for trips to Palo Duro and Caprock Canyon. They have an indoor pool but no outdoor seating area.

At check in the lady at the front desk was unpleasant. Dis not inform me that the pool was closed nor tell me that the rooms are not cleaned daily. What kind of hotel doesn’t clean rooms everyday!! For the price I paid that’s a minimum. There was a smell on my floor as the laundry room was left open or always running so no air circulation. On Saturday & Sunday breakfast is at 7am it should be at least 6:30am for those who want to set out early. Very disappointing.
