The hotel was built in 2005, I believe it needs to be renewed. Did not feel value for its high cost.

Viceroy has a very very very good quality and standard of accomodation and literally everything was perfect from my point of view! We stayed at the terrace Vila with a private pool and after 18 hours of traveling, the tiredness went away when indulging in the warm waters I would have liked to have something on which to dry out bathing suits after coming out of the pool, but that's the only thing.

Excellent service, accommodation and location. Attentive staff everywhere, they will go over and above for you. The location and views are sensational, only 20 minutes or so to ubud on the free shuttle. We stayed for a couple nights after leaving another hotel after being really disappointed. The team managed to get us into a villa and upgrade us and they made sure we had a special few days. Thank you. We went full board, the food in the cascades was hit and miss. The western food & pastries/desserts was very good, the Indonesian food however, was disappointing and was tamed down for the western visitors (we were told). Considering the cost the local food choices should be on point when compared to local restaurants. I think we would have gone without full board if we returned.

Tasteful room decor and amenities Temperature controlled generous size lap pool Asked for CVV of card on checkin which I declined due to potential fraud concerns. Was not pressed to provide. Told them to improve their pre-authorization process by using a POS terminal.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom pool villa with our 3 children and had a wonderful experience. The service staff were exceptional; always smiling, genuinely caring, and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. Every request, from children’s floats to small extras, was granted without hesitation. The villa itself was spectacular, with great food quality and excellent “butler-style” communication via WhatsApp, making everything effortless. We also enjoyed the dance event during our stay. The only downside was that the marble floor can get quite slippery when wet, which is something to watch out for if you have young children.

Even when we encountered a minor issue, it was resolved promptly and with genuine care, further proving the team’s exceptional service. The longer we stayed, the more connected we felt to this magical place. It elevated our entire Bali experience, and we are already dreaming of our return. Without a doubt, If you’re heading to Ubud, don’t think twice, don’t think twice, this is the place to stay. It’s not just a luxury resort; it’s an experience, a sanctuary and is a haven of indulgence. Absolutely perfect, not a single flaw.
