Hati Padi Cottages

Very authentic, charming stay with lots of character. Amid picturesque rice paddies. Excellent food, beautiful pool, tasteful decorations...

The bedding and mattress smelled awful. We were unable to sleep at all. There were molding lemons in a glass and a used razor in the bathroom when we checked in. Their laundry service ruined several of our clothing items. I asked for a refund after checking out and staying only 1 night of three, and they refused. They would not even apologize for the ruined clothing items. They gave me my bill upon checking out and forgot to charge me for a meal we had in their restaurant and contacted me after the fact and blamed me. They were extremely rude. If I could post that conversation here, I would. You would be shocked. Horribly run business. Do not stay here. We stayed in several places in Bali that were so much better.

The pool is great with a really nice view on the rice field Staff are very welcoming and helpful. -we booked the family room, a really large one, and there was a lot of small animals and insects in the room ! I guess it is difficult to control because this is the personality of the room ( opened to air) -meals are relatively expensive, I think we had the most expensive breakfast in the Island ( 90,000 IDR)

It’s far from everything, and quite difficult to go places. Would strongly recommend renting a bike. This would’ve changed our experience here!

A beautiful place, whit great people and a delicious breakfast. The staff were attentive and made me feel very welcome. This place is a true gem amongst the rice fields, and perfect of you want to be closer to nature and somewhere quite. A beautiful and tranquil place.

We stayed at Hati Padi Cottages by chance, for just one night, and we absolutely loved it. One night wasn't enough; we'd love to return. The restaurant side is very cozy, the garden and the swimming pool in front the rice fields are so beautiful.

Beautiful location in the rice fields, away from the busy parts of Ubud. It takes a bit longer to get to town so it’s good to plan this, but they offer scooters for rent, which helps you a lot in getting around. The cottages are very nicely decorated in a cozy rustic style and the restaurant offers very good food for all meals. Cleanliness in the rooms could be improved, but overall the facilities are very well mentained. We regret not having planned a day to just sit at the location and maybe walk through the rice fields in the area. The pool and garden offer you all you need for a day of relaxation.

Exceptional

The location is amazing if you want to avoid Ubud traffic and noise. It’s in the middle of rice fields. The staff is so friendly, always here to help. Rooms are very well decorated, food is good. Second time here and not the last ? Not big noise isolation so you may hear other residents having their breakfast but it’s usually very calm !

I did not expect the place to be this special, everything moves slower in the best way. No reception desk, no stiff hotel atmosphere, just warm welcomes and a place that feels loved. My room was open and simple, with a view that made me stop and take a breath every morning. The outdoor bathroom made me feel like I was showering in the middle of nature but with privacy. The food was the kind that makes you want to stay in and eat at the same place every day. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they care about what they serve. The banana pancakes in the morning and the tempeh at dinner were my favorites. If you need a place to reset, breathe, and just enjoy where you are, this is it. I left feeling lighter and already thinking about coming back.

Stayed at Hati Padi Cottages for a night, and honestly, I wish I had stayed longer. It’s one of those places that feels like a little escape. Away from Ubud crowd, quiet, and surrounded by nothing but greenery and the sound of nature. The staff were super friendly, the kind of people who actually seem happy to be there. Check-in was smooth, and my room was simple but had everything I needed. No AC, but you don’t really need it, the cool air at night and the sounds of crickets make for the best kind of sleep, especially in this rainy season. I spent the evening just enjoying the view from my porch, and having dinner at their restaurant (which, by the way, serves really good food). I also recommend to woke up early and grabbed a coffee and just sat there watching the mist over the fields. If you’re looking for a fancy resort, this isn’t it. But if you want a place that feels real, where you can actually slow down and enjoy Bali, this is perfect. I’ll definitely be back. Nothing. If only I could have spend more days in here would be better

This place is a work of art. It is so beautifully designed it sometimes takes your breath away. The Pool is really spacious and great to swim in and the view into the rice paddies is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Bali. The area is really quiet and remote and just beautiful and also Ubud is not far away. Max and Wayan lovingly run the place and go out of their way to help with things. There is a very cute cat also It is simply gorgeous, Also the food is very good and the chocolate fondant cake is one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. And I come from Vienna! Miss it allready and will surely come back. Corinna The matress is a bit on the harder side, but this is not a negativ it is a matter of taste. I personally prefer soft matresses, but it was okay and I got used to it and then slept very well.

Quiet location, a lot of nature around, beautiful pool. Keep in mind the villas are a bit further away from the center, but if you want to rest from buzzing motorcycles and cars, this place is great. Plus they have amazing food at their restaurant and staff is very helpful, can organize a massage, a car or some activity It’s hard to explain, but bathroom is not the most comfortable, there’s some roof in some parts but when it’s raining, it drips right in front of the sink, so it’s hard to use the sink or brush your teeth if you don’t wanna get wet.
