Overall location and staff along with facility was perfect Nothing really

Good location, close to the airport and close to some last minute sightseeing and shopping on Bali. The hotel was very classic with a touch of Indonesian flavor. Pool, restaurant, etc was nice. Don't bother going to the beach there though. The staff was great, very professional. Nice room. After staying at some more remote hotels on different islands, staying at the Holiday Inn Baruna Bali was a more modern and standard 3 star hotel. You get all the amenities of a good hotel here, but not a lot of the island atmosphere.

The beach and surrounding was absolute disgusting. Trash was everywhere on the beach and there were numerous aggressive sellers.

I strongly recommend checking recent reviews before booking this hotel rooms My experience was disappointing and stressful rather than relaxing. overall management needs serious improvement to understand the situation This hotel is not recommended for travelers who truly value peace of mind and a comfortable vacation. There are many better options in Bali that offer higher standards and a more relaxing atmosphere. If you expect cleanness please check thereview , since they don't have cancelation option

food and pool no beach to enjoy

Location superb for easy access from airport nearby and for day trips to nearby tourist attractions such as Kuta , Waterbom. But Discovery Mall overrated as a shopping destination. The large fishing monument on the beach near the hotel was disgustingly full of plastic waste trash on the surrounding beach and the pedestrian walk along the beach was a superhighway of local motorcyclists bypassing the roads to commute on the sidewalk very dangerous for families with children out for a beach walk to statue monument. Also hotel took two days to repair lack of hot water in bathroom. Rented two adjacent rooms but two models of room safe and posted instructions for both was the same but did not work as labels different. TV operation for kids to watch local cartoons was overly complicated defaulting to money generation by starting on Netflix and no instructions on how to switch to free local channels. No laminated TV operation instruction sheet in room. The switch at door entry not clear on accidental turning on NO ROOM SERVICE and kids think it’s a light switch as next to light switch and looks like light switch so some days accidentally no clean towels when hotel thinks no room service desired. KISS (keep it simple) applies…plastic DO NOT DISTURB sign hung on door best otherwise kids inadvertently turn off room service. Hotel could make switch flash red inside room if no service desired. The Air Conditioning controller not easy to understand and no posted instruction. The temperature controller doesn’t appear to adjust displayed temperature. The toilet paper falls off the holder as bar installation is reversed so pulling paper pulls paper tool onto floor as its location is behind user. Finally bathroom floor tile is same as main room. It is slippery when wet . Hotel should use non-slip tile in bathroom and in shower or have interim non-slip mats as I slipped twice. All purchased on promise not providing guest with purchase receipt. They keep all copies and many times fail to apply Discount code for members, be vigilant or no membership discount applied.

The grounds were beautiful and very relaxing The size of the room was not significantly larger that the Holiday Inn Express next door and was a little "tired" and basic, definitely no frills

Gym missing towels and cups for water. Also very hot! Beach in front of hotel isn’t someplace you would want to swim.

Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Good location surrounded by many restaurants. Pool foam party and other parties were great Beach is not as it looks in the photo! It was mess and not private beach! The room we first checked in was bad damp smell and couldn't sleep. Changed to different room which was better

Front Desk Staff - A+ Front Desk Management - D Location - C Room - A+ Concierge - A+ The hotel is very nice. It is conveniently located on Kuta beach and one of the nicest properties in this area. The front desk staff upon check-in were exceptional. The room was very clean and the view from my room was one of the best in all of my past three weeks of travel. The concierge and support staff were also top notch. Aside from a couple of easily fixed issues and one not so easily fixed, this hotel would have been rated a 10 of 10. For the area and comfort, this is a great hotel, but as in most resorts in Mexico, guest's experiences are best on the resort and not as much outside the resort. There are a couple of easily fixed items. Some of these issues I consider a no-brainer, but was difficult for the management team to identify and address. First, the hotel is a little bit older and is starting to show its age. The grounds and hotel are immaculately kept, but the water supply from the shower and bathroom has the odor of sewage. I am not sure if this is due to the quality of the water or gas from the drainage lines. This was a constant problem everyday of my stay. When there is this much concern about the water, you need to make sure you used bottled water to prevent from getting sick. This issue may be caused by the hotel's age and drainage or lack of water filtration system. Either way, it was the first noted issue with my stay. Second, the front desk management team was oblivious to the surrounding area. I spent the last few hours enjoying the open air lobby, wonderful views and comfortable breeze. For the last 90 minutes, a gentlemen sat in another chair and continued to have long, loud, conversations on his phone. While some of this may be attributed to this background and need to be vocal, it was quite disturbing. For a lobby that is well over 1500 SQ FT, his voice easily covered the entire lobby area in all corners. The front desk and management team refused to address the issue even after being raised. There were literally 100s of other locations including the business center this gentleman could have had his call, but decided to disrupt the lobby and disturb the peace and tranquility of the wonderful lobby. The manager did not engage or address the issue. Only after I offered to address the issue, did she even make an attempt, but after 90 minutes, the peace, the tranquility, the escape was all lost. It was a horrible way to end a very positive stay and is a direct reflection of the poor management team to identify and address the issue. I attached a picture from the local airport of what the hotel needs DESPARATELY!!

The location near the airport is perfect and the staff are amazing! The wifi was not the best honestly and the food is pretty average

The staff was very helpful. The free shuttle to and from the airport is very useful. They can arrange takeaway boxed breakfast meals in case you have to depart early for an acrivity. The breakfast had good options. The standard room had no balcony or even a window that could be opened. In these type of resort it is usually common and useful to have an area to hang clothes and/or sit. The room only has one sitting chair.

Close to the airport The room is very basic with old furniture. Food quality could be improved. I ordered a cheese burger which was way below expectation
