The hotel was in the process of major upgrades. If i knew that i would've chosen something else. Noises through out the day and night. The room that we stayed in was at first nice. Then we saw very poorly built products, shelf was barely hanging on the wall, half the lights didnt work, no coffee machine in the room, no microwave, bathroom was extremely small, tub was very tiny. Didnt have much interactions with staff but they where polite. Whirlpool half the jets were inoperable. Barely any parking. 2 cars havent been moved and piled with snow. Parking lot was filled with snow from the road couldnt tell what was the front entrance shipping containers was all over the place. Breakfast was horrible. Milk was on ice but was very warm. Will not stay here again.

It was all good friendly and peaceful

The pool was okay. It was small and cozy. My room was a little smelly of cigarettes. I think the previous people booked before me smoked in the bathroom. My door lock was not working. It won’t stay locked.

The room reeked of cigarette smoke, they were remodeling the hotel, the bathrooms were bad. We could also hear everyone in the next rooms, hallway, and pool area. We left the next morning as we checked in past 10pm.

It was ok overall. Beds are only full size. Unfortunately the heater for the pool was out. People smoking pot in the rooms and that's all we smelt at night when trying to sleep, gross... Needs some tlc in areas..

Well, I hate to be too negative because it appears as though they are trying to renovate and improve things, and in the grand scheme of things it’s a budget hotel, but anyone staying there should know some things. We were on the second floor. When we arrived it smelled terribly like pot in the hallway. The bathroom in our room was being remodeled (i hope?) The baseboard trim was gone and the floor was partially painted but some kind of old rubber not even like tile or anything. Beds were lumpy and just ok. Pillows were totally flat. When we came back Saturday night after spending the day in Duluth the kids wanted to swim but the pool was closed. Apparently the heater quit and people could swim but it was definitely cold. Overall it really wasn’t that pleasant to be there, Saturday night again smelled like pot on the second floor. Looks like other reviews mention the same thing so it’s either workers or someone living there. Pretty tough to have small kids and feel like it’s safe for them, so. I don’t know whatever situation they have but I wouldn’t recommend for families.

Staff was nice, the state if the hotel was really bad. Thin walls, stiff beds, stained sheets and carpets, shower curtains dont stay closed, bad breakfast. Changes do seem to be happening though

Ok. Smell like cigarettes.
-
The mattress was hard as cardboard and not enough towels. We can hear the noises from outside.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room and fixtures were quite dated. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

hotel was clean but in rough shape. nice pool and hot tub area. breakfast was dried goods with milk, yogurt, and some fruit. convenient location with parking.
-
Some hard boiled eggs and yogurt would be appreciated on the breakfast menu.

Located in a quiet area of town. A nice gas station convenience within walking distance. No coffee maker or microwave but there was a decent sized fridge (no freezer for blue ice). Pet friendly. In the hallway I could smell cigarette smoke but not in the room. The room was very clean & quiet. The people at the front desk were very friendly & helpful. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast but I did have the coffee. 3 levels of decaf👍and it was good! I would gladly stay here again.

Everything is super old there/outdated and the room lights are very dark, also the AC/heater smelled like bootay when we turned it on so it went off very quick. Overall the place was clean, they had breakfast everyday and coffee and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
