The design aspect prioritizes aesthetics over comfort sometimes. Some examples: 1) The shower area of the bathroom is an open-to-sky concept and there are no hooks to hang your towels. The approach back to your main bathroom invariably gets messy and wet because of this. 2) There is not enough natural light in the actual room. While the main lounge area is completely open to the pool and is breezy, the actual bedroom is quite dingy and musty. The AC was also not effective at all. 3) The pool is great but also can get quite deep on one side- I think there should be a clearer call-out to the depth just for increased awareness.

I stayed at The Amala Boutique Retreat Villa in Seminyak, and I absolutely loved it. The whole place felt peaceful, private, and beautifully designed. My villa even had its own pool, which made the experience extra relaxing. The staff were super nice, always smiling, and ready to help with anything I needed. They greeted me with a refresher drink, and I also received a free one-hour spa treatment—such a perfect welcome and the best way to start my stay. Breakfast by the pool was a dream, and the location made it easy to explore Seminyak while still having a quiet, cozy place to come back to. We stayed for 4 nights in the amala when we first came for check in our wonderful butler marveela upgraded us to a bigger villa , it was exceptional we loved everything ,location is close to seminyak village Staff are very friendly and helpful. The villa amazing with very nice pool . There is some small lizards in the outdoor kitchen area but the staff responded very well

Wonderful team of villa members that made us feel like home. Good selection of breakfast menu, wonderful cookie at the front desk. Pillow thickness and hardness did suit me. Bathroom at the common area has foul smell, and its water pressure is insufficient. A few areas are starting to feel tired.

The villa was amazing, the Spa was beyond amazing and the b'fast was what we expected I could not get wifi in the Villa for my macbook and I had to work. This was super frustrating.

Very good location, comfort manchester, friendly staff and great breakfast. The staffs are 24hrs available in the reception. They would apply pest control spray for the room every day and also evening turndown service. Still with Amala won't goes wrong. The villa next to us is under renovation. Can see the staffs still in there making noise around 2am...

Location and privacy Air condition

1. Breakfast is outstanding and the staff serving from the restaurant is really friendly and helpful. Whatever we needed in the villa was provided for. 2. The Villa was beautiful and spacious. Nestled amongst nature while still being in the centre of Seminyak was great. 3. The service staff - was very friendly, always trying to help. First impression at reception on service quality was very very poor. After having paid the full amount at the time of booking only, the hotel refused entry to me and my family quoting that unless i paid for extra beds (which I never asked for), they won’t let me check in. Even after telling them that my child was sick and just let us check in and then I will come back to clear all confusion, they out rightly refused. This is the worst service I have received at reception at any hotel. Finally after they removed the extra bed and let us check in - they did try to make up, but the damage was done. Outside of this issue - even in the villa there were lots of niggles at various times during our stay (though the hotel did try to attend to it with urgency): AC not cooling properly, light switches stopped working, 1 chair broke as soon as a family member sat on it, gas stove was not working properly, one of the rooms was very poorly lit with 1-2 lights not working and that couldn’t be solved during our stay.

The service was exceptional. Literally could not have been better. Staff are wonderful. Breakfast too a little while to cook. But that’s fine. We were in no rush. Loved it.

The villa was stunning and the staff were really helpful and friendly! Breakfast was amazing everyday and the food in the restaurant was really lovely and fresh. The main pool was beautiful and we swam in it almost everyday, I had a 90 minute massage at the spa which was beautiful. Personally we loved seeing all the little lizards, frogs and different insects (thankfully not a single spider!!), there are mosquitos around, but no more than the rest of Bali and staff were helpful with keeping them at bay. We cannot wait to return here and are already missing it! Having to leave :(

This villa was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the most amazing service from staff and the most beautiful property we have seen! Every time we needed something the staff were so quick to help and without hesitation. Everyone went over and above to make our stay a great one! Would highly recommend The Amala to anyone travelling to Seminyak, undoubtedly one of the best places I’ve stayed! Thank you all for your hospitality! ❤️ No faults
