The hotel's location is excellent: walk out of the hotel straight onto the Riverwalk with several great restaurants on the doorstep; walk out the front to close proximity breakfast places and Starbucks. The valet parking is very pricey at over $60/night and there is a safe self-park option literally 30 seconds away for $10/day. There was torrential rain on our first night that overwhelmed the pool area and drainage system and led to the lower level having some water (I don't think it made it into the rooms). The staff were good natured and helpful during this time. By the following morning there was no sign that anything had happened. Overall, A great short stay and will put La Mansion at the top of my list to stay at next time I'm in San Antonio.

Awesome location. Staff went above and beyond and surprised us with champagne and cupcakes for my husband’s birthday. The only negative aspect of the stay was the room across from us had dogs that barked constantly.

History of the building and convenient location. Building well maintained. Complimentary water and service of bed making. Parking on site ridiculously expensive. Parking directly across the road a fraction of the cost. That breakfast was only à la carte! Pool was overrun with children so we never made use of it. WiFi- this was disastrous- although booking g comes with wifi you have to go through reception where process wasted our time and we still don’t know if we were charged for it as an extra service or not. That has to be streamlined! Lifts very slow!

Loved that it was on the riverwalk and within walking distance to many places. The front desk clerk was nice enough to upgrade my room to a river view for my birthday and even had a complimentary bottle of champagne and sweet treat delivered to my room.

Hotel is in a great location. Close enuf to walk down the riverwalk and far enuf to avoid the chaos of the nightlife. Booking our vacation through a third party there was confusion finding our reservations. Thankfully we checked ahead of time and the confusion was remedied. But upon arrival there was still confusion as to whether I still owed money or not. Had to show proof of the reservation made by the manager that got cleared up. Also, I used a cc for incidentals and was asked for a PIN? Not sure why I needed a pin if it was a cc and had to use another cc & they came back w/it it was denied. After telling them to rerun again and it went through? So, not sure why that was an issue. Not how I wanted to begin my b-day weekend. After that got sorted out, we enjoyed that day. The next day we ventured out around 8:30am and returned at 4:45 PM and our room had not yet been cleaned. We took a nap and we’re disturbed at about 5 o’clock asking if we wanted our room cleaned?!?! That was a NO! However, the following morning we informed the front desk people that we would be venturing out all day, that if our room could be cleaned while we were out. Upon our return, our room had not yet been cleaned and it was already 6:30pm. Excuse was that they were fully booked and that we may still be on the schedule at 7pm? Seriously…so on a 3 night stay our room only got cleaned 1 time. I still enjoyed my birthday but didn’t think their excuses were good business.

the staff had great attention to detail and very courteous. we came back to celebrate our wedding anniversary at the hotel we married at 26 years later, and the hotel did not disappoint. ambassador room overlooking the riverwalk. cant say enough how great the hotel looks after returning.

We just stayed at the Omni La Mansión del Rio and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment we arrived, everyone was amazingly courteous and helpful — and I mean everyone, right down to the valets who made coming and going effortless. Our room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and we had a balcony overlooking the River Walk surrounded by gorgeous old architecture — sitting out there listening to the river and the music below was something I’ll never forget. The building itself is just stunning; you can feel the history in it and even the pool area is lovely. It’s the kind of place where the setting does half the work and the people do the rest. We had dinner at Ostra our first night and it was consistently beautiful — fresh, full of ambiance, and again, just the nicest people taking care of us. Every detail, inside and out, felt cared for. If you’re looking at hotels on the River Walk, this is the one. You’re right on the water, wrapped in beautiful old San Antonio, and treated like a guest who matters. We’ll be back. Highly, highly recommend.

Room service is amazing and great food but a 25% gratuity is already added in. I just thought that was extremely high but the food was worth it. I would go there again. Staff were kind and the valet was congenial. There’s a parking lot directly across the street for $9.00 a day or each time you go in and out so there’s no need to pay the $60 per day for valet parking at the hotel.

Front desk staff was very helpful after a leak in our room. They cheerfully compensated us for the inconvenience. The Four Brothers restaurant was very good, but the staff made our experience even better. This is a beautiful old hotel with well preserved history.

The hotel itself is extremely clean and the hotel pool and co located bar was extremely nice and easy to grab a drink and relax next to the pool. The location of this hotel is ideal if your trying to enjoy the river walk as its literally directly out the back door of the hotel. 10/10 would stay again.

Our flight delays, struggles, and situations were absorbed by your excellent attentions...door to door. Clean place, silent, peaceful place, beautiful...no complaints. We were treated very nicely and respectfully by all the staff. We had the best waiter in Four Brothers Restaurant and tasty Enjoyed the clean pool.

I would not stay here again. Waited nearly an hour after checkin to have our room available. Our room was still dirty with a pair of used socks left by the bed, hair in the shower as well as used pimple patches on the wall. We attempted to order room service the last night we were there and could never get ahold of anyone. I ended up calling the hotel restaurant directly and ordered my food for pickup. Terrible terrible customer service. We were given a $100 food credit but that didn’t even cover the $55 per day for parking.

Felt so lucky we chose Omni to stay at for our San Antonio trip. It was the perfect location on the river walk, the staff at the hotel were all SO friendly and kind, and the coffee shop and restaurant were both wonderful. They were able to accommodate early check in for us and provided a fan on request. I would recommend anyone stay here as we had such a lovely vacation.

It was perfect. Downtown. Everything was perfect but I asked to buy a robe when i was checking out and was told they sold the last one and I couldn’t buy one online. It was my sisters bday and wanted to give her that.

The property was nice. It is located right in the middle of all of the restaurants on the Riverwalk. I thought the room would have been a little bigger but I guess you cant go by the pictures online. The showerhead was AWESOME. It gave you a nice massage while showering. For breakfast we ate at Four Brothers. The food was good. Our waitress encouraged us to try a hot sauce, which is something I never eat, but it was very flavorful and good. One night we did hear the people next door on our shared balcony laughing very loud. The hotel restaurants were a little difficult to find. If you get there before your room is ready and decide to go on the Riverwalk to pass time, be aware that you have to find the front of the hotel in order to get back into the building because you do not have a key to reenter the hotel. I guess this is for safety reasons

Not sure what you mean by amenities. Yes they had a spa, the pool area was quite beautiful. The restaurant prices were outrageous. Maybe it would’ve been nicer to have coffee available in the arrival area but rooms to have coffee pots. But the location is what you pay for and it was perfect. It was exactly where I wanted to be overlooking the Riverwalk.

The River View was excellent and we enjoyed the balcony. We were not told that we shared a balcony with 3 other rooms though. The bed was rather lunpy and hard. I told the front desk at checkout and she didn’t respond. We will be back if we are in San Antonio

My husband and I came here for a much needed getaway. We spent almost the entire weekend relaxing by the pool. It was just perfect. This has always been our "go to" hotel when we have traveled to San Antonio these past 45 years of marriage. We look forward to our next trip!

Pool was amazing

Room service didn’t know if they can get us hot water and have to wait on hold. When calling to find out if there was an event going on in the restaurant for Brothers for Cinco de Mayo, no one knew what was going on and we ended up finding out. It was a private event. Location is great in relationship to the Riverwalk and will probably go back again. The valet were very awesome and personable. The Front Desk was very attentive every time we walked by they said hi and got us whatever we wanted

Great view of riverwalk. I would recommend getting a 3rd floor and upper rooms (riverwalk views) for the best views. We stayed in room 245 in the corner of hotel.We had a partial view of riverwalk due to the tree outside the balcony that blocked the view but was still a great view of riverwalk. We also had another balcony with street view. The balconies are small but they are perfect for 2 people. There is a spa, restaurant and bar but we didnt try these amenities. Outdoor swimming pool area is nice and has a bar there. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. It was a little noisy from the street and riverwalk but we slept ok. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel sits right on the riverwalk.

The floor was always wet because of the door and it was difficult getting in and out due to the toilet being so close to the door. Also, the room had a strange odor.

Centrally located, Spanish-style hotel on the River Walk… just like many others, except this one pretends to be something it’s not. We stayed two nights. The room was dark, tired, and felt more like a cave than a hotel. We were placed in the second building overlooking College St, as far from the River Walk as the next hotel. I genuinely kept asking myself why I didn’t just stay there instead. Valet staff on arrival were warm and welcoming and that’s where it ended. Front desk staff were disengaged and flat. No real welcome, no guidance, nothing. There wasn’t even a queue, so no excuse. It did make me wonder if booking through Expedia made a difference, because the guest ahead of me received noticeably better service. On a positive note, Eva, our housekeeper, was lovely, genuinely the only bright moment in an otherwise disappointing stay. If you’re specifically after an old, dark, “historic” building and you’re lucky enough to be in Building One with direct River Walk access, this might suit you. Just be prepared to pay for it. For us? Overhyped and not worth it.

Very beautiful property! Shockingly peaceful despite the busy location. Housekeeping was AMAZING! Staff was very warm and kind, regardless of the many rude people they encountered (through no fault of their own). Thank you for providing an excellent home away from home.

The ambiance here is true San Antonio. Stay here if you prefer charming hotels over sleek modern hotels. I felt like I was a guest at a large home. The staff are the friendliest I have met. Breakfast was good. The location is good also. Nice part of the river—busy but not too noisy. Get a higher floor if sound bothers you though but get a river view-worth it.

Only ok. Expensive. But condition of room wasn't great. No outdoor facing window. So dark and tight. I kept waiting for a staff member to open the hotel door for me during check in and check out when I had a ton of luggage and struggled with the door, but they didn't. It just seemed more like a 3 star hotel and not worth it for the price. Check in took forever. Would stay somewhere else next time.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, but charges $7 per day and parking is $60 per day. The beds were quite comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner smelled pleasant. Walking distance to a lot of different things such as the Alamo, Old Historic Market, and more.

Valet was nice We booked a premier Riverview room, we called the day before to get assigned a room on a lower level so we could be close to river which with booking a two double bed was on level 5 which they did accommodate and that was fine. But they put us in a room that one side faced the street and one side faced the river. Not at ALL what I was expecting especially for the price we paid we were highly disappointed in it.

Loud noise in room in early morning hours. Elevator was slow and only 1 for 7 Floors. Parking rate of almost $60.00 a night with taxes, very upsetting. Will not be back.

It was misleading from the pictures. For a five star hotel it was old. The view they gave us was of an old abandoned building on the backside of the property. For the money I should have stayed at a newer place less money in the same area.

This is one of the best hotels I have found. Right on the Riverwalk, great restaurants, wonderful staff, pool. In downtown and within walking distance to many local attractions. I would definitely recommend for anyone. Will definitely return.

Very clean the staff was amazing. The location was awesome. The room that I had that overlooked the Riverwalk was tremendous. I got to visit my daughter and she came to stay with me a couple nights and we had a blast. I do highly recommend this location because of the courteous staff and treatment that I received

Great location for anything that you want to do in San Antonio.

We stayed in the Ambassador Room with private balcony on the 6th floor. Room was cleaned and tidy when we walked in. Coffee maker was tucked in the furniture with a slide out which kept the focus on the room and not having the eyesore of appliances on the surfaces. For a building that has been standing for 170 years, it is surprisingly maintained and kept up with. If I visit SATX in the future, or if someone asks for a recommendation, I will advise to stay at the Mansion Del Rio.

Housekeeping was also inconsistent since one time they have me new glasses and sometimes they left the dirty ones. They would also take towels but wouldn’t replace them. It looks like they would only make the bed and occasionally restock your amenities. The pros are that you are right on the riverwalk and close to everything there is to explore

I have to admit, I saw a 9+ review and I was a little on the skeptical side. It was all that and a bag of chips. We really enjoyed ourselves. If I am ever back in the area this will be my first choice.

Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were greeted and were made to feel like we were welcomed. The staff at check in was very friendly and so accommodating. We were there for our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to make our stay special. The staff even surprised us with champagne and pastries that said Happy Anniversary on them. The beds and the linens were so comfortable. The size of the room was bigger than I expected it to be. It was very roomy and comfortable. We had a balcony which overlooked the riverwalk that had a beautiful view. The bathroom was super clean, and it had an amazing shower. We loved the location because we were close to everything. We ordered room service and the food tasted great and the portions were more than we had expected. We did use the valet, and the staff were so friendly, and we did not have to wait long to get our car when it was time to leave. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that was thinking of staying in San Antonio. I have stayed at several hotels on the riverwalk this hotel was the best out of them all so far. We did not have a microwave in the room.

The biggest issue for us was their lack of a heated jacuzzi at the pool. A 4 star vacation destination absolutely needs one. Makes the pool largely worthless 9 months of the year. I was told we did not need a reservation for the Four Brothers restaurant on a Saturday when I checked in. However, when we went to dinner at 6PM, we were told the earliest we could dine since we didn't have a reservation was 8:15PM, and even then, we couldn't get a table along the Riverwalk. SO YOU DO NEED RESERVATIONS FOR THEIR RESTAURANT. The food was good, but pricey for not having a table along the Riverwalk.

Most comfortable hotel room I’ve stayed in a long time. Location was perfect in terms of the River Walk. The only negatives were the slow elevator, the pool was cute, but nothing spectacular, & the parking is pricey unless you are ok walking across the street to utilize the parking garage.

The Omni La Mansion del Rio is the middle of everything (food, attractions, bars, shops, mall, etc) it is a very very nice property, the staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms were very nice and their room service was amazing. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. The only tip is to make sure you get a room facing the river walk.

Stayed two nights in a river view king room. The room was very small and balcony even smaller, with not enough room to sit outside. This is unfortunate because the hotel sits in a great location. There is a premium price for premium location and parking is an additional $60 per night. Valet parking was good, but remainder of experience was not premium. HVAC made very loud rattling noise multiple times per night, awakening us each time. Notified front desk, but not fixed after first night. Notified front desk again upon departure after a second night of lost sleep, but no one appeared overly concerned. Also, balcony had not been cleaned. Clearly many weeks of dirt and a can from a previous guest. Overall, nice hotel. Great location. Nice to have water bottles in valet area. Nice to have fridge in room. Wish the service was equal to the cost.

The hotel was beautiful and right on the river walk. The staff were outstanding. We got a room upgrade and had a balcony overlooking the river walk. The room was nice and quiet. I loved the bathroom amenities.

San Antonio and the Riverwalk was incredible. We were disappointed with the hotel. Out room was tiny. So small the mini fridge would not open all the way because it hit the bed. Our balcony could not be called a balcony. The door would not even open all the way because it bumped into the tiny and crammed space. It was so small. It was incredibly loud day and night both inside and outside the hotel. On our second day there, we returned to our room being out, we discovered after housekeeping had come through that they did not close our door. We immediately alerting the hotel staff, they made every effort to apologize insured no loss prevention had happened and gave us 50% off our room for that night. We appreciated that, but it did not make us feel safe and secure.

We had a great stay at the hotel. There was easy access to the Riverwalk and we enjoyed our riverview balcony to take in the sounds and atmosphere from the people moving around below. The hotel felt centralized to the restaurants we wanted to visit as well as a convenient river boat pick up point just a few steps away. Hotel staff was courteous and the Valet was convenient and polite. Upon arriving we were met by a person that helped us get our vehicle handled and unloaded. She told us to go check in and find our room and she would meet us there. Within five minutes she was at our door with all of our luggage and helped us get settled. Overall experience was outstanding. I recommend the Omni la Mansion Del Rio.

Room wasn’t ready at check in, we had to wait 2 1/2 hours. We thought we would go to Four Brothers at the hotel, the service was awful!! We ended up only getting appetizers and leaving because the service was so slow. I usually love any Omni Hotel, but I will not stay here again.

Room was lovely. No hand soap at the sink. The bed was HORRIBLE! We both were sore each morning. The pillows were terrible, too. We won't stay here again simply because of the bed.

Valet parking this is my second visit to your hotel first time. It was a minor issue room service never brought my pie dessert. Second time which is was the most recent. I asked the gentleman please charge my car that was at 12 o’clock. Noon I needed my car charged for the evening evening came. We left halfway down the road. We realize we had no charge we had to cancel ours our plans and come back to the hotel then again I asked him please charge my car so when we leave the car is charged again they decided to charge our car at midnight so when we got the car, it was only 45% charged. The only reason I came to your hotel is for the convenience of my car being charged while we enjoy our vacation. I don’t think we’ll be coming back again seems like every time we go something gets worse and worse and worse thank you Daniel.

While the room and accommodations were fine, my low rating is due to the Omni hotel charging my credit card for the room even though it was prepaid through Expedia. Essentially, I was charged twice for this reservation. I spoke with the front desk and was told this was fixed before my departure but a full week has gone by and my credit card has not been refunded.

Beautiful hotel, thoughtful touches like leaving a birthday cupcake, very clean. The only thing to keep in mind is the additional parking charge and the $100 deposit for the duration of your stay (in my case, 4 days, $400). Then you have to wait 7-15 days for the refund. I know it's a $100 deposit for the entire stay, but not $100 per day. If they had told me that, I would have been prepared.

The Omni La Mansion del Rio in San Antonio is the best I've ever stayed in. Checking was excellent. We arrived a little early but, no problem a room was ready. When we located our room, it was clean, smelled fresh and was totally ready for us. Everyone from check in staff, housekeeping we saw in the hallway, bar tender that gave us our free drink...everyone could not be nicer. The River Walk is just steps out the door and optional long term parking is across the street from the Omni.

They didn't have bath towel on the first day I didn't notice until I was done with my shower. They brought it up when I ask for it. No soap near the vanity. You have to use the pump mounted inside the shower. Overall it is over rated at the price point.

It is definitely older hotel. When we arrived the room had a smell like it hasn’t been used in awhile. The sheet was damp and had a smell. I told the front desk and they fixed it immediately. The bar was decorated for Halloween and it looked amazing. Great drinks and service.

Great location on the River Walk. Nice pool and bar/coffee shop. The only thing I found unnecessary is when the manager told my daughter and I we couldn’t drink our Starbucks along with my husband who had ordered coffee at the coffee shop. Not everybody wants just plain coffee from the coffee shop and they should realize that in this day and age.

Although we were directly over a busy part of the Riverwalk, it was still very quiet. My family and I had a wonderful time. The staff goes above and beyond even in the midst of a busy weekend (concert, boat parade, and blues festival). The facilities and room were very clean and accommodating. I will definitely return for my next stay in San Antonio!

Unique history.

We did have a problem with the drainage system in the shower, it did not drain well. And when you took a shower, you were in about 2 inches of dirty water. There was also a wet spot on the carpet that was wet due to the condensation of the air conditioning above on the ceiling, the property was informed. And they acted immediately.

The beds are comfy, multiple pillow choices, robes, rain shower head were nice. Enjoyed a clean pool with chaise lounges and pool bar. Four Brothers restaurant in house was delicious. Highly recommend.

Proximity to Riverwalk.

Staff are super nice and helpful. They asked upon check-in if we were celebrating anything special. We told them it was our anniversary and they sent up champagne and cupcakes! Super nice!!

Amazing location on the river walk, very clean & well maintained. Awesome staff.

Hotel was very nice. Got a river view room and had lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Parked across the street $10 a day. Had a great time.

Super cute hotel in the heart of all the action. Pool was perfect temp and clean and loved now they didn’t have blaring music. Room was good size and comfy. Breakfast at restaurant was pretty pricey but food tasted good. No free coffee, unfortunately. Most of staff was super friendly. Had a great time there overall and would recommend.

From Check in to check out and all points in between, the staff, was friendly, attentive, helpful and professional. I never had a request that wasn't promptly attended to. I WILL be back.

Perfectly located easy access to everything from the Riverwalk to the streets above.

My wife and son stayed 3 nights at the Omni and thoroughly loved our stay there. The room was perfect with 2 queen beds. The riverwalk view from our balcony was excellent and centrally located across from Rita's - which we think is a must go-to restaurant. The entire staff from front desk, valet, housekeeping and concierge were uber pleasant and spot on with any request made. We will continue to stay at Omni locations during travel because of the excellent services and amenities provided. Our only complaint during our stay is that the in room mini fridge would not cool our drinks despite being replaced on night one.
