The breakfast was decent. The pool was refreshing and clean. The beds were comfy. The pull out couch was uncomfortable, but they were nice enough to bring us extra blankets and pillows. Our toilet did clog up. Other than that it was a wonderful stay. Jolene was super helpful and really knew what she was doing. The location was really central to everything we had planned. Especially the wonderland of America, for a kings of horror popup.

Police told us this happens here fairly often, which is very concerning since nothing in the reviews mentioned safety issues. There appears to be little to no security on the property. We chose this hotel expecting a safe stay, but left dealing with damage and stress. If safety matters to you, I would not recommend staying here.

The cheapest hotel I usually stay it is the holiday inns. So take that for what it is. However this was more like a motel 6. Everything was outdated. Found a face towel that was out of place and damp as if it was used. Stains on the carpets. Probably a 28in tv. People hanging out in the parking lot made out truck feel unsafe. Just wasn’t up to par with the rest of the holiday inns I’ve stayed at. Very unsatisfying.

Do not stay at this hotel. We woke up today on June 14,2026 and 5 trucks had the back driver side window busted out. With a note of a guy who can fix our windows. Do not stay here if you drive a truck. There is no security in the parking lot.

The room that was given to us had a terrible small. I also found a bottle cap from a beer and piece of chicken strip. So, the room was not properly cleaned. The floor felt sticky and the carpet felt humid. When I spoke the person at the front regarding possible getting a different room they said they were all booked. I had a reservation for 3 nights and only stayed 1. They did refund me for the other two nights and we went to another hotel.

Also didn’t appreciate having to do a deposit if I was only emailed a notification that if I was resident within 50 miles of the property then I would have to do a 250 cash deposit. I was also told it was a 50$ deposit not 50$ a night . Cleaning staff was friendly.

Breakfast the eggs, bacon briskets was cold . the juices machine was not working. the equipment to Toste was not working. the parking was good clean rooms but the cart to transport the loges there was only one but it was not on the front desk we have to carry our luges in 3 trios.

Our A/C was so loud I couldn’t really sleep. This was my biggest annoyance with the hotel. For the price it should’ve been a better experience. When we arrived to the room it was hot and musty because they leave the ac off. And then the fridge was unplugged. And it just froze everything. No gravy for the biscuits unlike other holiday inns I’ve been in and the sausage was cold. We got breakfast at 7am. So yeah.. Carpets had stains and so did the extra chair in the room. Water for shower wouldn’t get hot just decent. Toilet takes forever to flush. You have to sit there holding the button. Very inconvenient. Entrance to parking lot was HORRIBLE. Only one push cart for luggage in the whole hotel. So had to carry all of our stuff in and out. Only one elevator?? Which was dirty on the inside by the buttons. Also the guy when we checked in acted like he didn’t want to be bothered. Will not be staying here again.

Overall, the property is in a terrible location with homeless around also in bad condition they were multiple stains throughout our room. Our room alone had a leak in the carpet. I let the front desk know they didn’t do anything about it. The furniture in the breakfast area is so dirty. The elevators are all scratched up. Very poor maintenance.

The hotel needs a lot of repairs. Floor tiles in the room entrance and bathroom were broken, the carpet smells, the AC makes a lot of noise and room doors slammed very loud.

Hotel was definitely not as expected. Holes in walls and doors , stains on carpets, walls, and window blinds. Couldn’t even sleep well due to doors slamming all night and morning. Terrible parking it’s limited so you better get there early or you’re not gonna find a spot. Staff was nice but Will definitely not be staying here ever again.

Don’t ask for a cash deposit when we book online

Staff was nice and helpful. There was nothing they can do. That was the worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at.

The stay was okay overall, but there were a few cleanliness issues that stood out. I found hair on the sink and on the toilet seat, which was disappointing. The shower could also use some improvement—the water never really got hot, more just warm. On the positive side, parking was easy and convenient. With better attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this could be a much better stay.

Looked nothing like the photos from the website. Some of the tiles in our room were broken and poking out, there was mold in the restroom, and the pullout bed from couch was dirty and stained. Only good thing was the staff was nice and tried to be accommodating

This is definitely not a normal holiday inn Express it looks like a lower class hotel that was branded as a Holiday Inn express. It is definitely not a hotel I would recommend

No hot tub, filled in with concrete. Pool freezing. Pool chairs were worn and had holes in them. Breakfast was really bad and Breakfast staff was reluctantly "helpful" when i asked for water that wasnt provided. She was on her phone the entire time and seemed bothered i asked a question. My stay was extremely disappointing. The property was dirty and located right next to an area crowded with homeless individuals, which made the environment feel unsafe. The breakfast was terrible, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hallways look like they haven’t been vacuumed in a couple of weeks. Down by the ice machine there was dirt and trash, it was old looking. In the elevator, the floor corners had dirt and hair stuck to the floor in every corner. The inside doors and button area was extremely dirty with smugness and prints like it had been there for months on end. Had to clean the left over food debris on the tables at breakfast. The refrigerator that housed the milk and yogurt was below recommended temperature, everything was barely cool. Nice place but needs very much house keeping.

At the time of check in I was told they had to put a 25$ hold on my card, my card statement shows it's 30$ hold and still hasn't been returned back to my card, I was in town due to my mother being in ICU down the street and had stayed at another hotel the previous night and received my deposit on my card the day I checked out so I'm not sure why they still haven't refunded me from this hotel

Breakfast was okay. Had to put juice out of jugs which I felt was not safe someone could’ve dropped anything in it as well as drunken from the jug. The location was in more of a low class area. Homeless were on the property along fence. Very unsafe. I didn’t like the room I was given where the door was not closing all the way. It was obvious that the door had been kicked down in the past from god knows who. yu could literally hear the next room sneeze through the night. Bathroom had cracked up walls, carpet completely stained, a/c kept going to heat, ice machine was mildew all around. There was a trash bag inside the ice machine as well I couldn’t dare fill my cup either ice from the filth. They did change my room which was no better & Receptionist also gave me my 2nd room key saying my room number out loud where other guests were in the lobby which should be thought to them as a safety issue. I’ve never stayed at a holiday inn with these much problems. I also don’t do reviews but I feel as tho the next person should be aware. This may be okay stay for a Man who’s working. Not family recommended

Check in was easy The rooms were not clean - carpet are stained, some of the light fixtures was not working, bathroom was in bad condition-cracks and stains. Breakfast was not a great- only few items. Not many seating in the breakfast area.

The breakfast was OK. The ice machines on floors 2, 3, and 4 didn't work. Only the ice machine on the first floor worked. How can only one of four ice machines work? Total lack of maintenance. The fire alarm went off at 3:00 am. The juice machine in the breakfast area was out of order. I've never seen a hotel with TV sets as small as these. The larger TV set in the breakfast area only shows some of the picture. It needs to be replaced. Where you come into the hotel the concrete was broken. This facility is need of major updating and repairs.

Not bad. I had to switch rooms from 104 to 225 due to issues with the TV. However, the next room was not an improvement as it had stains on the carpet, a dirty shower-head, AC problems, a bathtub with cracking paint, and an unclean toilet.

This property needs an upgrade. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. Everything was great except the hotel only has one luggage cart to use for carrying your bags to our room which means me and my wife had to carried our bags to our room plus we had to carry them back to our car! NOT HAPPY!

Check in was incredibly slow. The poor guy was trying but must’ve very new and was all by himself. He could have used some help. The room is spacious and looks like it was missing furniture. Big empty space. It’s an older facility. It is gated and you have to have a code to leave which made it secure but I wondered if I was in a bad part of the city.

Staff support was highly lacking! Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience that put me in harms way due to the staffs negligence. I wasn’t going to nitpick at the poorly constructed, broken road exiting the building. The staff threw away my brother’s personal belongings that were in a large white bag into an even bigger black garbage bag with other trash bags. I didn’t notice his bag missing until 1AM and didn’t have any support from the staff. I had to go to the dumpster by myself in the dark since the lights didn’t light up the entire parking lot at night. I had to find a piece of wood to ravage through a large dumpster full of several black bags. I thank God in the name of Jesus there weren’t any raccoons or other critters that could’ve harmed me. The first bag I pulled out was food. The second was luckily the bag from my room and I was able to retrieve my brothers belongings. The staff didn’t care at all. I am disgusted and severely disappointed by this hotels staff.

The dining area had cloth furniture which could use a cleaning, as you could see stains from the repetitive areas they have been touched likely for moving chairs to be seated. The hotel room was suitable for staying just the one night. It smelled very strongly of Lysol Disinfectant spray. The floor tiles were visibly lifting in more than one area. The surface areas (sink, toilet, shower) were all visibly clean. The sheets and pillows on the bed were fresh, however the top cover on both beds appeared as if they were well over due on changing. (I am aware these do not get changed daily or weekly, but it was clear these may have been on for longer than weeks.) I typically do not remark on minor inconveniences, however this is the first time my experience at a Holiday Inn property was really subpar. I am usually brand loyal, as they are for the most part reliably clean.

The initial room assigned had broken floor tiles, stained walls, carpets, and linens. We we moved to another room which was a bit cleaner by smelled like mold and cigarettes. Never staying here again. The hotel throughout we very dirty and not maintained. I have never experienced this while staying at a Holiday Inn express.

The door frame is damaged from break-ins the floor was un level, the toilet was about to fall over anytime anyone sat down on it, the carpet was dirty and sticky in the bedroom, the shower curtain was falling off from the wall a few more tugs and it's going down, there is strange noises at night coming from the walls might be rats or short circuits from electricity

Hotel location was convenient, and quiet. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with variety of food options. Breakfast area was compact and crowded though.

Hotel is was dirty in the elevator and rooms need to be update but other than that it was good. Beds were super comfortable, rooms clean, breakfast was good. The area just isn't great.

We currently stayed a night here at Holiday Inn Express for a family sweet 16 birthday, drive in ftom Ft Worth. Overall the stay was ok. It's an older building thats easy to see. I got a room for 3,the sofa bed had no extra sheets or blankets. The smell was old, the loung chair was stained, like i didn't even wanna sit on it. The king size bed was however comfortable and i was happy that the desk clerk offered to let us stay til noon even though checkout was11am. I think I'll stay again. It was convenient to Walmart and a restaurant and bar.

My stay was horrible! From the moment I checked in, the TV was on but unable to operate due to a broken remote (missing the back) and the batteries not working. The AC was not working at first and the room was very damp and muggy. They offered to move me to another room, but that room was worse than the one I was in. The carpet had hard stains in several places and it too had that muggy smell and odor. Later that evening the plumbing wasn’t working. The toilet wouldn’t flush and the tub was backing up water when you used the shower. The gentleman in charge for the weekend sent someone to fix the toilet but it worked for about 5 flushes and went back to the same thing. We could not use the restroom all weekend. The hotel seemed to be completely booked and they were not able to accommodate us. Not even an offer to send us somewhere else. They offered to give me a refund but said they couldn’t because it was booked through a third party, which is Hotels.com. I need a refund! This was a horrible experience! You can contact the hotel for yourself. I was in 307.

There were many areas that were unclean and it always smelled like hair spray , the elevator was not clean

The staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean. The hallways, entryway floors looked to need a mop and vacuum. Don’t know if there was not enough staff or what. Place was a little worn, but otherwise presentable.

In the bathroom there was always hair. The breakfast had no variety and there were cockroaches. The bathroom door couldn't be closed because it was uneven and in the bathrooms you could hear a noise every time you closed the bedroom door.

The front desk person was super nice and helpful! Our room had a weird smell... it smelled muggy! The shower curtain , no matter how you closed it, the water would leak out everywhere. We enjoyed it was gated, but there was lots of homeless ppl around.

Great customer service. Room was clean and organized only downfall was the TV was not working and staff was not able to fix it on the stay or exchange to another room.

The room was ok, it's always fairly clean. Surfaces like nightstand, bathroom counter, always need to be wiped down. 50% of the time the coffee maker is broken and the coffee supplies are not restocked. The breakfast is always decent but the cleanliness was abysmal this time. The lady overseeing the replenishment of the food was in the back, on her phone, most of the time, the coffee had run out, the pancake mix had run out, and the trash areas were overflowing. I've never seen it like that before.

Rooms are clean; but room had a mildewy odor. Bed was comfortable. Door to hallway had huge gaps around the frame which let a lot of light and sound into room. Appreciated the free breakfast; food was just ok though. Overall good hotel to spend a night or two only.

Air conditioner didn’t work right so it was hot in the room the second day the lights wouldn’t turn on so I had to go talk to the front desk and they said the breaker trips so I had to wait for them to flip the breaker to have lights on in there It wasn’t a very good stay.

Slow running water on bath tub. Poor cleaning in the rooms and worst on halls and common areas. Pool dirty and not ready to be used

Holiday Inn Express is one of my normal go-to's when booking hotels mainly because I know exactly what I'm getting because of consistency in the brand. However this location is completely ran down and not up to the standards that the brand is known for. The service was amazing however but the hotel itself is definitely lacking...I would not stay here again.

We had an additional room with a couch in it, it smelt very musty, and like mildew. The couch looks old and dilapidated. The floor in front of the elevator and in the elevator was very nasty, & sticky. In the dining room, the furniture was stained up and nasty. The place was just nasty.

Checking in was great . When we arrived to the room trying to turn on TV . Remote was broken . To flip channels we had to hold down the metal flip to connect to the battery. The handle on the toilet was held together by clear wrap inside the Base of the tank .

Jacob at the front desk was very helpful. The property was clean and the stay was pleasant. There are quite a few homeless people around the property.

i will be staying there my next visit to san antonio i loved the area and the motel itself several good restaurants close by

Smelled of urine upon arrival. Bathroom was dirty and dusty. You can tell that they "tried" to update this location but it still has a long way to go. If you need a place to crash for 24 hours or less this place is fine. 2/10 don't recommend. The staff was very nice and pleasant. That's the ONLY thing saving this location.

Very clean

First room provided smelled of wetness. Bedding and floor were wet to the touch. Second room was good except the very low water pressure in the shower.

Fast and easy check inn

On Hotels.com it stated a $25 deposit but then I receive an email stating it would be a non negotiable $250 cash deposit. I called the inn n they informed me they were not to blame but instead Hotels.com.

While staying here thr night 2 vehicles got broken into. They broke their vehicle windows. Lots of homeless in the area, under the over pass. I wouldn't recommend.

They broke my vehicle window and my brother’s vehicle window and two other vehicles were broken too. There was no manager there that could help us. They didn’t care about there customers. Service was terrible not helpful. Will never come back again to this hotel.

Just no pool on a heat wave and chosen the hotel because they advertise the pool , also no bags on trash cans , no towel refills , had also to park in the fire lane once

Very easy to get to from Methodist Texan hospital. Only 1 little problem. The breakfast area needs cleaning on the seats.

This is nice and convinient where the location is to Downtown.

I rented an accessible room due to my Mom have a hip surgery the next morning. Great location, staff friendly but the bed was the tallest I have ever seen thank goodness they had a couch she slept on. I put her in the bed but she got nervous. The handrail in shower was tiny. The blind would not close because it was broke, hand print on wall and broken utility panel.

I would recommend the facility

First day elevator not working. “Hot” water in shower was barely room temp. When reported they said they would check and tried to tell me it was kind of warm. I do not like cold showers. Room smelt very moldy.

Several homeless people walking around the area of the hotel. To me the area, in general, felt a little sketchy. Upon entering the lobby the floor was disgustingly filthy. The temperature of the hotel was sooo hot. On the 4th floor the thermostat read 87 degrees at one point...it was horrible. Room smelt musty, air con did not cool room down, pretty sure there were bed bugs....woke up with itching all over body. Water pressure was pretty bad. We ended up checking out a day early and booked another hotel because we were so uncomfortable here.

The hotel was nice and clean, the breakfast and coffee were really good, AC in my room was an old unit and and very difficult to set to a comfortable temperature.

When we checked in @ 3:30 we were told our room wasn't ready (had reservations) and it would be about 45 minutes or we could take another room, ok. The room was dirty. Had to call housekeeping to clean up hair on the floors. No clock or phone in the room, and not alot of lights. Shower head was broke and no stopper for the tub to take a bath. Was not comfortable at all. Sorry about this review because I do like your hotels, but this was bad. And the window shades were broke, couldn't open them.

Overall, our stay was good. Comfortable beds and mostly clean. Our shower didn’t drain and the breakfast didn’t have a lot of options though.

VERY helpful, friendly front desk clerks and housekeepers(although ALL our HKs spoke extremely broken or no English) We were able to check in a little earlier. Housekeeper service every 5 days, we stayed 3 nights and were able to REQUEST and RECEIVED any cleaning/items needed. Wish free breakfast lasted during the entire morning at least until 11am. Carpet stained, bedspreads had small stains. Dont leave beverage cups on nite stand - overflow of ants. All in All, I will stay again.

The room was really nice except the air conditioning unit had a really bad mildew smell. I tried to get another room but nothing was available and the hotel receptionist mentioned they would send a mechanic but never did. Now I’ve been sick since leaving the hotel and I have a feeling it’s from the hotel room. The service and staff was great but they need to do something about cleaning the air conditioning units because now I have an infection that started during my stay.

Never got to stay since they cancelled our reservation without notifying us. They said there was an issue with the credit card and instead of retrying, they just cancelled our reservation.

Higher floor was better…. Coffee maker was not working, they gave me a serving one that didn’t work either 😢 thanks for the employee of the morning shift that was able to switch rooms for us.❤️

Property needs to be upgraded for what it cost. Not their fault, but they had water issues because of the city. Could not access hotel with key from back door.

I really liked that my room had a separate living area. We stayed on the third floor and it smelled like wet carpet, well not sour but musty or something. We used a diffuser to help with smell. The hotel was clean, had a nice breakfast. Staff was friendly. It was quiet.

Have no complaints. Would definitely stay here again. Best hotel we have stayed in in a long time in San Antonio.

Unfortunately the property itself is very dirty. Our room was still dirty and there was a particular smell coming out of the AC. It was like a mold or a mildew smell. The carpets were badly stained and our toilet didn't work properly.
