I fully understand the importance of guest security and identity verification. However, despite correctly verifying my personal information on file and offering additional forms of verification, including Apple ID facial recognition from my phone, there appeared to be little willingness to consider reasonable alternatives because I did not physically have my ID in hand. What made the interaction particularly uncomfortable was being told security would follow me to my room, which felt unnecessary and humiliating given my efforts to verify my identity. The tone and professionalism of the interaction left much to be desired, and I did not feel treated with courtesy, empathy, or respect. To make matters worse, I also experienced duplicate charges of approximately $1,300 each during my stay, which remains unresolved at the time of writing. I expected a much higher level of professionalism, customer service, and problem solving from a hotel of this caliber. I hope management reviews both the handling of guest interactions and billing concerns to ensure future guests are treated with greater professionalism and respect.

The lobby was beautiful, the spoonful shop was the saving grace for customer service, coffee and snacks. The pool was nice and provision of towels was helpful. The DJ played great music. The gym was great, the room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was appreciated. The coffee provision in the room was terrible, a kettle would have been better with coffee sachets, the small sachet of milk powder wasn't adequate. The towels were tiny, too small to wrap after a shower, and I'm not large, just average. On arrival the front desk was very hostile, an attempt was made to take €300 off of my card, without any warning, for 'incidentals'. I was then mocked for not expecting this. The holiday was a hard saved for treat and I didn't arrive with a bottomless budget. I paid for everything when I booked, at least I thought I did, but then another €150 dollars was taken unexpectedly for taxes. I booked breakfast included but as I had to sign to agree for the charge I didn't trust it and didn't have breakfast all of our stay. The staff in the hotel (apart from a guy on checkout) were all very stressed and hostile. I couldn't access the plug to turn the fridge on in the room, the TV didn't have the satellite channels as sold. We were not explained on arrival that they key card was needed for the lift to function, all just adding to lots of very stressy experiences that really made me resent the hotel and their comfort with helping themselves to money from my account. The shop really was the saving grace for morning coffee and croissants for breakfast, and lovely customer service by every member of staff in there.

The rooms are a little small in terms of room size compared to the price; however, the air conditioning worked flawlessly and the bed was comfortable with a soft mattress and lots of pillows. The shower provided a lot of great amenities like body wash and shampoo. The pool on the rooftop was nice to relax in.

Beautiful area of the city. The hotel was clean, and we'll maintained. We ate at steakhouse and the Italian restaurants. Both were great. Expensive but thats to be expected. The only thing that sucks is their parking fees. I had to pay 58 bucks per night, as a guest!

The rooms could be cleaner. I’m a bit OCD and toilet around rim dirty. Easy to clean just need to scrub. Also comforter was black however it was covered with clean duvet. But hotel needs to clean comforters also every so often.

The room condition is old and does not reflect the four-star Grand Hyatt grading. Lacks basic amenities like kettle, tooth brush or tooth paste in the room.

Excellent all around. Grab and go cafe was particularly strong. Literally attached to HGB conference center but across the street from riverwalk. Only qualm was a 20oz coke was almost 6$

It was alright. Considering this is the Grand Hyatt and we have been their patrons such as in the UAE/Dubai, India etc, we were quite disappointed. Check-in was good and though rooms looked dated. Housekeeping was good and prompt. Breakfast was terrible. Although our server Gilbert was excellent, the check in at the breakfast area was less said the better. Overall, I dont think we will go back to this hotel.

Room and hotel really clean. Beds comfortable. The view from the room was one of a kind! Hotel location really convenient for pedestrian and motorized outings. The hotel lobby smelled divine and elegant festive decorations added to the overall appeal. As such guests lounged in the lobby at all times, further enhancing the social experience. Staff was uniformly accommodating to provide you with the best stay. Breakfast was buffet style, with plenty tables available every morning. Yet one needed to wait for up to 15 minutes to "be seated" - it was unpleasant especially for the youngest and the eldest patrons and there was always a line. Unnecessary.

Our toilet was plugged when we arrived to our room. The shower was also very 'weak' with pressure. It would also be nice for some sort of reasonable or 'free' breakfast options for people who aren't looking to spend $35 per person on a buffet, especially when we pay as much as we did for 1 night stay.

The lobby area was so beautiful and the checkin employees were so nice and gave us compliment margaritas at check in. We loved the view of the city. Unfortunately they gave us a room where the ac wasn’t working properly we were hot and couldn’t sleep all night u can see they didn’t clean the side tables there was drink dry sticky rings for what we paid total the rooms should have been cleaned right and the ac should have been working right we didn’t sleep good at all due to the ac not functioning properly. We paid 279 for the room 75 for incidental, 60 for parking, 30 for destination fee

The staff was phenomenal and always courteous and helpful. The room was immaculate and quiet. The fitness facility had state-of-the-art equipment and was spacious. The rooftop pool was a smaller area but never felt crowded. Great location to boot. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Antonio.

I was at the very far end of the hallway from the elevator. Even though the walk was far the view once i got in my room was beautiful.

Upon arrival I was handed a letter saying that I would need to stay at another hotel. This added significant challenges as I had to use taxis to get back-and-forth to my conference center rather than having my hotel right next-door. I made the reservation several months in advance. It would’ve been very easy to call me to warn me so I could’ve made arrangements to rent a car.

Hotel was walkable to shopping, dining, and concert venue that we were attending. Late night dining available with many different options offering convenience for a late night appetite. Hotel is family friendly with amenities for everyone to enjoy - pool, gym, outdoor games, an arcade, and rooftop yoga class.

I am a local resident and stayed one night here for a Staycation with my girlfriend. The view from the 17th floor was amazing! I even ran into a former co-worker who was moonlighting as the evening entertainment at the hotel lobby. The room was clean and the King Bed was great!

Stayed here to attend the Chris Brown concert and it was perfectly located for the venue. Although it says a 15 min walk, it was more like 10 min or less. The rooms and hotel was immaculate and the staff was professional and friendly! I would definitely stay here again.

Room and facilities were always clean. The Staff was very helpful and always polite, etc. The food at the restaurants adjoining the hotel-Ruth Chris and Moda Fare were pricy but the service and food was excellent. I have exactly zero bad things to say about my stay at this hotel.

Very close to popular attractions

I liked the location which was close to the Alamodome and the river walk. I traveled to San Antonio for Shakira’s concert and even though there was an influx of people the hotel did a great job at maintaining the building clean and it was surprisingly quiet. The Staff did a great job as well. Very welcoming and professional.

Never had a bad stay at a Hyatt, and this one proved why I will continue to try and stay at them. Staff was great (especially Michael and Alexus at the Tejas lounge. Lovely people). Look forward to staying here again in the future!

We were told that the parking fee is about $47 per night, which we accepted. However, on the final bill, we were also charged a $25 “destination fee” per night, which we were never informed of or agreed to. So, I called the hotel front desk. The gentleman manager on duty explained that since we booked via Expedia and received 10% off the $47 parking fee, the hotel then charges a $25 destination fee. That doesn’t make any sense — I can do the math. Honestly, I’d rather just pay the full $47 parking fee than be surprised with a $25 fee that no one mentioned before. He was rude and spoke in a way that I believe is unacceptable for a manager at a hotel of this level. I told him we had a great time at the hotel until we had this conversation — and he made the issue even worse. In the end, he offered to waive the $25 destination fee instead of providing any actual documentation or agreement that showed I had consented to that charge. Come on — both Expedia and your front desk staff told me that parking is $47. If there is an extra $25 fee, your staff should clearly inform customers in advance, not hide it in the bill or assume we should have known. Please make sure to check your final bill carefully for parking-related fees — and I hope the hotel takes this feedback serio

Loved my experience and the fact that the riverwalk was just steps away. Went for an early morning run around the riverwalk and then showered after at the hotel. Super convenient.

From the complimentary bottles of water and margaritas at check-in, to the cleaning staff greeting us in the corridors, the service was professional, friendly and consistent.

Everyone was so helpful and nice

Great staff, everything was clean and tidy. Only complaint is my VPN wouldn't work with the guest wifi and one night there was a loud concert next door. Just ask for a room above floor 8 and you'll probably fine. Will definitely stay there again if the opportunity revisits.

The staff were great. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and view was amazing. The only complaint I have is the valet parking fee of $64 for a 1 night stay (not including tips).

This property is amazing! Walking distance from riverwalk shopping center, staff was amazing, room was very clean, from the bathroom to the linen! I felt safe leaving property in my room, Ruth chris was amazing and their staff was amazing also! In town for 24 hours and I highly recommend the property, we will return soon! Thank you

Book early. This is the one where they do the dance competition every year. Book now, pick the refundable option and you won't actually get charged until date of check in. This way you secure your room a year in advance at it's lowest possible rate.
