We had a bad check in experience after we were given our key card to our room, it was late at night and we go into our room and there were other guests sleeping in there which scared the crap out of me! Went back down to the front desk and told her what happened. She apologized and I don’t understand how they wouldn’t see that someone was in that room. They put us in another room, upgraded and gave us complimentary breakfast to apologize.

This is a great spot in the middle of the city with access to everything like shopping, hiking and biking, great nearby neighborhoods for food and drinks, and it's close to the airport. The property is quiet, spacious, and has amenities like a green space courtyard, pool, bar, dining and an art gallery. Apart from the gallery, the art in the hotel is very unique and reflects the true culture of San Antonio. I walked around just looking at the art to make sure I saw everything. Really enjoyed staying there and walking around the property. The antique looking outside elevator is so unique too! I will be back.

The pool area was nice and the bar tenders were great. However, the rooms are small, and the AC was horrible.

Overall a nice stay. The staff was friendly and attentive and the room was clean and comfortable . The common area to include the pool, outdoor patio and bar appears inviting and well kept. Evening security was present and appreciated. The bad is the hotel is dated and in need of renovation. The shower head was looking like it needed replacement and looking outside the windows could use a wash. Despite this I would still recommend

sorry to say I was not to pleased with our stay ,with the price of a room almost $900.00 for 4 days you could have given me free wifi for 4days not 2 days, not even a free cup of coffee.Don't think I will be staying there again, but the staff was very nice and helpful.

The pool is nice for lounging but has fountains the entire length of the pool making guests dodge if you just want to soak. I don’t normally leave reviews but feel it’s important for families for their children wanting to play. Also, had to pay for coffee…..should be inclusive….

It smelled so good when you walk in. The front desk clerk was so nice and understanding. The room was clean and bed was comfy. We usually stay next door at the Marriott but we always stay here now. Everything was perfect

It smelled good right when you came In and everyone was so friendly I guess there was a party going on or something. I wasn’t able to sleep because people were at the pool screaming and laughing till 2 am. There should really be a curfew

We have stayed here several times and overall loved our stay again, however the room they gave is this time (506) was in desperate need of some repairs. The door to the room was super hard to open & close, seemed the door frame was messed up and needed redone, and wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling pretty bad and some rusting around the shower frame as well. The rest of the room was just fine, but they need to temporarily place this room out of order and give it a little facelift. I will be sure to ask NOT to be placed in that room next time we decide to stay there. Otherwise beautiful hotel, great location, & airport transfers a plus.

Clean rooms. Very nice staff. Guests were very loud outside the rooms in the hallways but it’s likely the hotel design with courtyard and veranda like hallways for our area of the room, so we could hear guests on ground level in courtyard and in veranda parts of the hotel late at night. Otherwise no other issues. Will stay again.

The location was close to the airport. The hallways that lead to the room were not as clean.

It was a beautiful hotel. The water fountain at the entrance was beautiful. The weather was nice for the outside seating. The lights above the grass were pleasant to look at. The outdoor music was appropriate and nice. I liked that the room was spacious. The outdoor balcony was nice. I was happy to get a room facing the garden area. Even though probably could have gotten a room without it. Employees were very friendly. Nightly security was appreciated. There were several things I did not enjoy about my stay. The carpets were dirty. The shower door were rusted. The bed was extremely hard, as well as the pillows. I was not able to sleep much. The toilet paper was so rough that I cut my butt using it and now I have an uncomfortable cut and bleeding. The chairs and tables were a nice touch but they were uncomfortable. I did not like that you guys did not offer room service. There was no menu to be found in the room. There was miscommunication about receiving amenities in my room to make our anniversary special. Even though Kenya tried her best to make it up to us with free drinks and an appetizer. It was not the same. Since we had to go to the bar to get them. Bar staff was understaffed so it made harder to get our order. I was under the impression that we would have a private balcony to the garden. I was highly disappointed when it was all connected and I had to keep using my card to get in and out. It was a bit difficult to get in and out of the property.

Hotel was very nice and relaxing Bar closes to early.security needs to be better 4 vehicles where broken into. Shower didnt drain well. Need to tell cleaning people when theres a sighn on door " do not desturb" dosnt mean knock at 730am to see if they can clean room.

The courtyard was just beautiful. The bar area was very nice, open and plenty of seating.

A/C stopped working, it was miserable, a party by the pool continued way past 10:00 PM which kept us from being able to sleep. The TV stopped working and the door access failed numerous times. The lady at the front desk did not seem to care. We have stayed here for the past four years but this will be our last time. The lady at the desk who I believe was a manager solidified we will not return after this stay.

The hotel itself is beautifully elegant and everyone loved the interior courtyard. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The interior rooms are quite fantastic (from a prior experience) and check in was very easy. Exterior room facing the highway was (expectedly) very loud. The TV was broken, we notified the front desk and they said they would send someone to fix it but no one ever came. The restaurant was very understaffed and warned us it would take at least 30-60 minutes for our food to be made (but thanks so much for warning us). I still love this hotel and would happily stay again (but request an interior room).

It felt safe and was easy to get to. The AC was great! Breakfast took a long time to prepare when the dining room was empty. The refrigerator leaked.

Location was good, the hotel was unique and beautiful, loved all the beautiful doors leading to patio area. Front desk workers were super nice. Room could have been a little better. Room couldn’t cool down, parking was a little congested, booked online with the expectation of having room leading to patio center/corridor and ended up with external facing room, asked for extra towels and attendant/worker made it seem like it was an issue making her do her job (giving extra towels) when we were three people in a room and towels weren’t that big to begin with.

The carpeting in the rooms and pubic areas look, old, worn and dirty. All carpeting needs to be updated. Carpeting especially in the rooms. I do yoga and the carpet was not clean or just looks dated.

Reservation was supposedly cancelled for 2 rooms. I called the hotel in advance before booking to ask if it was pet friendly and I was told that it was pet friendly with breed restrictions. When I arrived not only was my reservation lost they then told me the no one would have told me pet friendly.

What a pleasant surprise the Estancia was. An older hotel that has been cared for and updated over the years. The staff are exceptional in all areas. Our room was very clean and comfortable. My favorite part was no carpet! The floor was faux wood with an inserted area rug under the bed. The chairs and table were comfortable and the room was spacious. We will be back!

We stayed here for a few days before we left on our trip to Hawaii, and had an excellent experience; service was great, rooms were spacious and very nice, comfortable bed. Food was excellent and hotel was very pretty. Would absolutely stay here again.

The building was beautiful a the pool ares was beautiful. It had an old spanish vibe witch was awesome. The lobby and bar ares was nice. The rooms were not great. I would have to compare them with a motel room with cleaner beds. The rooms are very small and the entry way to the room barely had enough room for the baggage cart to fit. There was no lock on the bathroom door. When i went to order room sevice ( which i found out they do not have) the phone line was not attached to the phone. I had to move the table that the phone was on and lean it forward to get the phone cord that was caught underneath. While i was grabbing the phone cord i saw a bunch of dust on the floor and nase board. It looked like that area hadn't been dusted in at least a year. The room over all, was ok. But it wasn't worth anything near what i paid. When i checked in the lady added $100 charge for incidentals and told me i would get it back when i checked out unless there was damage to the room or something had been taken. But when i checked out that extra $100 was charged as all kinds of taxes. So i didn't get any of it back. Also, The room looked nothing like the pictures on the website.

It was absolutely an absolutely wonderful stay ! Loved our time at Estancia Del Norte . Food was fantastic! Staff was lovely . Everything was absolutely amazing ! Will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us !

Great place to stay in SA for a layover or quick getaway. They do have a bar on the first floor and a courtyard where there is partying going on but it shuts down early enough for your typical guest to not be bothered by the noise.

Plus- the pool water temp was very cold! This hotel was so nice on the outside I was dissatisfied that it wasn’t as nice inside.

I have stayed at Estancia many times and was pleased this trip to see that they are continuing to upgrade the property and replace things as they age. We also had a great meal one night in the restaurant/bar.

Would definitely recommend this hotel. Looking forward to my next stay!

Overall very happy with my visit at this hotel. All but one negative experience. It wasn't a big deal, but a bit strange with a server. The manager on duty stepped in and handled the situation it seemed as he served me in place of the staff. I was taken back with her interaction, and as a result, I ate my food and went to the room and worked instead. I avoided the restaurant for most of the remainder of my trip. Again, all of the remainder of the team was very professional and a great customer service focused arm of the hotel.

Nice place but no microwave in room

Working nearby, I typically stay at Hyatt Place, but this hotel was a welcome change. The rooms are lovely, featuring exceptionally comfortable beds and down pillows. The vibrant courtyard creates a lively atmosphere. Although I didn't have time for the restaurant, it was clearly popular. The location is excellent, with quick freeway access. I'd recommend it for group meetings.

Great location, very good restaurant

Can stay again in a pinch but it does have very thin walls. On the first night we had terrible sleep because we could hear the guy next door snoring the whole night. We got a new room the next day for two reasons, the snoring and trouble with the toilet. There was no plunger available until facilities came in the following day.

The room was large and quiet.

My husband and i loved it!!! very convenient for getting something to eat or going shopping, and it’s only a couple of minutes away from downtown. definitely recommend staying here!!!

Wonderful hotel. Gives you the old San Antonio feeling with reasonable price. The rooms were wonderful, bed comfortable, the staff friendly, and the courtyard relaxing. The restaurant on the premises had wonderful breakfast.

I just would of liked bathtub to have been cleaner..

Such a beautiful place to stay. Parents and kids loved it!

Caitlyn at the front desk went above and beyond to help me find the best room for my needs away from the busy street. The hotel renovated rooms are really worth it and made me feel like I was staying in a beautiful home. The mix of the beautiful paned windows, brick walls, gorgeous tile and marble bathrooms...it all felt like being at my house. Everyone was amazing, the lobby is gorgeous and as well as the pool/atrium area. I can't thank Caitlyn enough for her amazing customer service and quick thinking to help me out. I would absolutely stay again! This is definitely one of the top hotels so close to the airport.

Nice

It was very loud and could not sleep with all the noise from the bar. We did nd not have towels or washcloths in our room. Not worth the amount of money we spent to stay there

Everything was great as always

This location is always clean and at the top of the end of quality for the price you pay. Its quiet, its nice, it has a bar and a restaurant and is close to shopping and many dining options.

It was a peaceful and cozy stay. Friendly staff and great aroma spray in the lobby. My wife bought one because of how great it was.

Was a beautiful property and all the staff were kind, only downside is on the day I arrived they didn't have the room I booked, so for a night I was in a different suite. The day after they relocated me and all was well from there!

I am glad that the rooms have been remodeled. The staff was great. Also, the free shuttle service to and from the airport is a big plus. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. Best price for the value.

Room was a little hard to keep cool with it being so close to the outside but the room itself was nice

Staff was friendly and as soon as you walk in the front doors it smelled so good. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice as well. The bartenders were extremely attentive. Will definitely stay here again
