Bathroom was newly renovated The ac smelled old , motel looks run down and needs major improvements. It smells bad due to ac units are super old, they need lobby to be more friendly they have you register thru a window outside

Absolutely nothing. The place should be condemned. Absolutely disgusting place.  I didn't even get all the pics of how horrible it is.  The place is run down, dirty, even extremely dangerous in public places.  The pool is green and the water oily. The mattresses torn and dirty foam.  The ceiling falling down.  Bugs everywhere!!!   The advertising for this is fake as are the June reviews.  One review, dated June 7, states the establishment is wonderful, the pool and hot tub fantastic.   The hot tub, according to the front desk staff, has not been working for months.  There is no possible way a real June 7, 2026 review could possibly discuss how nice and useful the hot tub is.  Upon further research many of the reviews turned out to be fake.  This building needs not only be taken off your site, but truly condemned.   The entire time we were there, out of 100s of rooms, we literally only saw one other person.  We left at 2:30am because we were itching so badly and bugs were everywhere.  At 2:30 in the morning I had to go find another hotel.  I am disabled and driving across country from Florida to California.  I trusted your site and this hotels listing.  You and this place put my daughter, myself and my service dogs in an unsafe and unhealthy position.  What is the compensation for that?

I really wanted to like Econo Inn Lackland AFB as a low cost option for those visiting Lackland to see their son or daughter graduate Basic Military Training. Partly because of the location close to the base (within a 10 minute drive to the Luke East Gate), it seemed like a good no frills option for housing and their staff was so kind in trying to accommodate me. But there were too many issues I encountered. First issue was the large cockroach in bathroom by the tub in my first room. After changing rooms, the second issue was the sticking door that caused the door handle to break off in my hand when trying to close it. After changing to another room, the third issue was the smoke-smelling room (despite this being a no-smoking hotel). I kept the room since there were no others. Fourth issue was the rain leaking through the ceiling on my last night there waking me up at 4AM from the dripping from the ceiling nearly landing on my open laptop. Aside from these issues that directly affected me, there was at least one abandoned car in the parking lot (tires flat) as well as some long term residents living in one of the rooms. To be fair, the beds were clean and soft with no signs of bed bugs in the three rooms I examined, the room air conditioner worked well to cool the room, there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room and parking was plentiful. Everyone makes their own choice on where they decide to stay, so please use this info in making your decision.

Overall for the price this hotel is okay. It was clean we did have a little incident with some things but the staff quickly addressed it. The water pressure was not the best, but the water was hot. The location was good for what we went to San Antonio to do. It was just okay it was a good value for the price.

Don't need to say pretty much anything else. Read reviews from verified guests and you will know the type of property. Lesson learned you do get what you pay for.

I PAID AS EVERYONE DID , AS MY NIGHT GOES ON I TOOK A SMOKE BREAK OUTSIDE MY ROOM AND SOPHIE THE MANAGEMENT SIMPLY TOLD ME I WASNT ABLE TO SMOKE IN ROOM WHICH I RESPOND IM NOT SMOKING INSIDE IM OUTSIDE MY DOOR AND SHE RESPOND THERE NO SMOKING POLITELY WHICH IN FACT SHE DOSE HAVE A POLICY LETTER IN THE FRONT DESK AND IT SAYS NO SMOKING IN A NON SMOKING ROOM !!! NOTHING ABOUT OUTSIDE !! The staff was very kind to work with. I unfortunately the property itself is the underwhelming part. They do have a pool but it isn't clean at all, the room itself was not bad. There were two dogs that tried to attack me and my family if we walked a certain direction. But it was affordable:)

The water pressure in the shower was horrible. Very little water came out. The extra door lock on the frame of the door was broken so we could not lock it.

The shower sucks we have little water pressure and the floors were making our feet dirty after getting out of the shower to get in bed. Staff was wonderful and parking was easy air conditioning worked great.

The location was close to where we were going, the price, and my grandson liked the pool. First, on arrival, there were several big dogs walking around the property. When I opened the door their was a big dead cockroach on the floor. The top bedspread had stains.

The stay was nice very clean and the staff was great, can't remember her name but the housekeeper was amazing. Didn't have breakfast or complementary coffee. The vending machine was out of order. Overall, may stay there was great and yes, I would stay there again in the future, also I would recommend them to any future clients.

I've had previously been to the property numerous times over the years when my ex wife would throw me out. And always had good experiences. But the lady checking me out,this morning wasn't very inviting. And I had time top add another day.. but she wanted to chaos 7

I have been trying my best to keep everything clean and organized but it is not easy as i do not have access to the supplies that the staff does. I can not speak for whatever is said to the 2nd guest, i only know that as the main guest i am ignored and i am the one that really cares about the room being clean and having actual clean linings. I am not expecting 100 grade level service or cleaning, since this is a low budget hotel. However I am expecting to be recognized and acknowledged. I have a service dog and it is not easy for me to just go to the front and try to locate the staff, despite this i did stand outside the door 2 days ago and a housekeeper did ask me if i needed, sheets or tissue but she did not return with them. I actually was injured the day before my trip and tried to cancel my hotel. I tried online, but they said that the site was having trouble and I'd have to try later. I wasn't able to cancel and was subsequently charged for my stay.

The Econo Inn was exactly what they advertised. It was clean and well lit at night. It was in the 100's while i was there and the room cool the whole time. I had no issues whatsoever and would recommend it! Except for no in room coffee maker, but options close by.

The hotel Chek in are was dirty and the equipment was very outdated. In the room the faucet a very small amount of water runs through it. A few of the wall outlets didn’t work.

Apparently, there are a lot of people that live at this hotel. I only had five hours to get some decent sleep, and my neighbors next door yelled and screamed constantly and their kids and each other slamming doors coming in and out. I finally had to crank my tv up all the way to drown them out.And I guess they got the message because they know I finally went to bed at about one a m.

The service was very good but over all idk I booked it because of Air Force graduation and it was 15 min away from base very help full because the cadets had to be there early so ment I spent more time with my love one but if it’s like booking to travel there wouldn’t recommend. I do have to say the stuff about bed bugs are not true but but while I was there I did see 1 roach 2 dead mosquitoes on my bed and 2 flys and I stayed for 13-16 of may over all yea it’s ok not too great and not super bad at same time oh and they have a pool it’s clean daily and hot tub and like I said the service was great. Microwave, fridge, and TV all worked fine. The wifi was weak, but acceptable for basic use. No breakfast. It was a cheap place to stay, but definitely not luxurious.

We enjoyed our stay at the Econon Inn. It was very clean , economical, quiet, had a refrigerator & microwave, wall unit A/C & Heat. Staff was very polite and efficient. Parking was easy. The people that worked it was very nice and everything whenever I wanted something in the towels or anything they had it ready they were very professional I enjoyed my stay there it was nice

I recommend this hotel to people who are coming to see someone graduate basic military training at Lackland Air Force base. There is fast food on your way to the base. So close and easy. We got food and turned left to get in line for the base, easy.

I like how things are being fixed up they have car ports it's looking good . Or they ever need help with some work on patios and making a new car ports over again my husband is good at building and making a patio and porches car ports and building houses and my mom went to collage for interior design she

Ok. Let's just be honest. Went there for USAF BMT graduation at Lackland. Its clean enough. The rooms are big enough. The price is affordable enough. The location is close enough. And the people that worked there were nice enough. It was a good stay. And heck, it was $63 a night. It is a bare minimum hotel that is what it is. I give it overall 4 stars. The area is shaky, but cant blame them for that. If u want a decent place to sray for the lowest price around near Lackland AFB, this fits the bill nicely.

What you’d expect for the price. Room was clean minus the microwave, and not too far from food and stores. Overall not a horrible experience.

The room was clean and looked like the pictures. This is not a walkable area, you definitely need a car to stay at this location. There is a pool, but the gate was locked and we needed it open. A bag of my items that was NOT with the trash went missing when the room was cleaned. That’s why I’m giving it 2 stars. It was unused diapering items for my child that was on top of the counter and not with the trash. Really made for an unpleasant situation when I realized it was gone. Also, they definitely did not change the sheets when they cleaned. This location is relatively close to Lackland if that is why you are going. Other than that, you will have an ok place to rest at night.

She told us we couldn't check in and we couldn't be refunded (Had booked the room 20 minutes prior of showing up) To top it off both employees started flipping us off as i walked away saying i didnt understand why they were so hostile.

The staff was very friendly. However, upon check in the bathroom was filthy. A complete shoe print in the bath tub and the floor was dirty. Staff quickly remedied by cleaning. While I was out housekeeping came in to clean and turned of the ac in 109 degree weather. Smh and no coffee maker in the room which was a complete disappointment. The price was cheap, easy to check in and very quiet.

Even though some of the reviews were negative I still took a chance and booked and I’m so glad that I did. The room was very plain but I was there to relax and sleep! The bedding and laundry were clean. The bathroom was clean. The toilet does sit low but it was clean and worked. The room did have a weird smell at first of like getting your nails done but it went away after while. The pool was okay I didn’t get in it but I did dip my feet. There were no issues with noise or anything like that for me. So my overall experience was more than I expected it to be. Great job!!

This hotel was very clean but the bathroom was not working at all! The shower had very low water presure when using hot water but fine on cold 😠 it took FOREVER to take a shower! The tolet would not flush my husband had to open to comode to fix it! The phone in the room wasnt working so we were not able to call for service 😒 NOT HAPPY!!!

They stole clothing that I had purchased specially for Thanksgiving day and they stoled from my luggage. No body took responsibility, it felted wrong specially when I told management they acted like if it was ok.

Receptionist was extremely rude. Threw the key card. Was talking over me when I talked. Blankets were dirty. Shower was dirty. And trashcans still had trash in them. Couldn't even stay the full night. I'd like a refund.

There was a 2 inch live cockroach in the bathtub. There was no water pressure in the shower. Visible hair/gunk clogging the shower drain. Curtains had multiple visible blood stains. Wifi never worked because it was completely non-existent. Shady area with shady ppl all around. Was there for a regretful 3 nights and packed all my belongings and took with me every time I left the motel. I do not recommend.

They had no drink machines nor did they offer food. The nearest gas station was about a mile walk down a busy highway! Not recommended if you don’t have a vehicle

it was quiet and we were left alone. they cleaned our room . and made our bed. The owner was nice. We had a refrigerator and microwave in our room which was nice. Only thing we dint have a blow dryer.

I called the front desk 4 time's with no answer. I got in contact with Hotels.com and they informed me they couldn't help. It was 21 degrees and had to drive down the street to use the bathroom

If ALL you need is a bed, you got it! Very little on amenities, cleanliness, and comfort.

Most disgusting place I have ever stayed. Huge stains on blankets, broken concrete and trash everywhere, dogs roaming parking lot. It smelled terrible. Nobody in office. This is a MOTEL not a hotel. With door leading outside. Everything is run down in horrible neighborhood.
