It’s near yo everything

The location is amazing, the rooms are very comfortable and we had a nice view. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast included was good. The WiFi was very weak and got lost in the bedroom.
-
Pool dirty and whole hotel needs some serious refurbishing. Too expensive for what you get.

Breakfast was boring Gym & sauna were small, nasty & old

The staff is amazing, very attentive, nice & tolerant of me being a needy mess. They are always willing to help. Shower was big & proper HOT water. Breakfast had good hours, lots choices. Close to grocery stores & gym. Daily housekeeping Coffee at breakfast was terrible, wifi was pretty weak. If had better wifi & coffee i would give higher rating. Yes facilities are very aged but thats why it costs what it does in that area. Yes air cons are noisy & old but muffles sounds from outside. Facilities are dated but an update would skyrocket prices. Everything is clean just old

Location and staff are friendly Stayed here during Carnaval and regret spending so much for such a run down hotel. Rooms are dilapidated and need a lot of tlc. whenever it rained the water would leak into the ac vents and the sink was blocked. Could hear doors being slammed all morning and also it’s conveniently located right next to a school! So you hear kids playing in the playground right next door. And good luck with the key card because it gets deactivated every two days so you’ll have to come back down to get another one. WiFi doesn’t work… And the breakfast is a joke ? the eggs have more butter than egg. There are very few healthy and non meat options. The only good thing about this hotel is the location.

The staff is excellent!!! Very kind people The rooms were not clean. Hairs on the floor, mold in the bathroom….

Location, maybe breakfast Unfortunately, this hotel was a big disappointment. The property feels very old and looks like it hasn’t been renovated in at least 30 years. Cleanliness was questionable, and I did not feel comfortable staying in the room. During my 6-night stay, the room was never cleaned and the bed linen was never changed even once. This is unacceptable for any hotel, regardless of category. Overall, the lack of maintenance and poor hygiene made the stay unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel. Only one elevator for the entire hotel which has 13 floors. Also during the check out receptionist tried to charge us for some things from minibar that we've never eaten.

They say there's parking, but in reality there are only a few spaces available.

Booking was easy, but nothing else. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL - DO NOT STAY HERE!! Absolutamente vergonzoso – no se alojen aquí In decades of worldwide travel, this is the first 1★ review I’ve ever written—but people need to know. Augusto’s demonstrates some of the most unethical, uncompassionate, and greedy practices I’ve encountered. I booked a family New Year holiday at Augusto’s for ~US$3,000. As the trip approached, every visa was approved except one, our minor child’s. Leaving a child behind was impossible, so I contacted Augusto’s simply asking for suggestions. After three messages, they replied that it was a busy period and they would not “exempt” us from charges. I never asked for a refund, only alternatives. I proposed multiple fair alternatives: rescheduling to a quieter period while still paying peak rates, allowing them to resell the rooms and charging us only for unsold nights, or issuing a future voucher. They rejected every option, offered none of their own, and ultimately stopped responding altogether. Their indifference was appalling. By contrast, other Brazilian accommodations (including Iguacu Falls) went above and beyond, rescheduling stays and activities despite similar no-refund policies. Augusto’s kept ~US$3,000 and we got absolutely nothing in return. If you value basic humanity, customer care, and ethical treatment, do not stay here. They care only about money.

The swimming pool was good and the bad comfortable. The staff was nice besides the ppl from reception there weren't helpful either friendly The hotel old, the AC is old and very very noise, the door key had to be changed daily, the gym is old and lack maintenance. Besides all of that I was wrongly charged and took more than two weeks to them fix it. I also forgot some shirts in the the wardrobe and tried to contact them but I was ignored completely.

Air conditioner wasn't working very well. Wifi didn't work at for whole day. There were no plugs next to beds. beds were not too comfy. Hot water was coming toooooooo late
-
Good breakfast, closer to the beach The hotel was old, the rooms stinky, and the sheets and towels stained. Plus, there were so many bed bugs we couldn't sleep the first night.
-
Nice location, single beds were for children not for a shared room with my adult daughter. Better quality beds and linen
-
Great location Clean Comfy bed Everything works well Beautiful pool and rooftop terrace Good value Breakfast could be better, especially needs more vegan options other than fruit and bread. And the fruit isn't usually that good (usually sour, sometimes bitter)

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and kind. Lobby and restaurant were pleasant and inviting. Very convenient to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Rooms are somewhat dated.

The reception staff were helpful during our stay, but unfortunately, we had a very bad experience on our last day. We lost $300 from our room after briefly going downstairs for breakfast. When I reported it, the manager’s response was highly suspicious—he immediately claimed that the CCTV cameras were not working and refused to show me the monitors. Instead of assisting, he rushed us to check out. This gave us the impression that management may be connected with dishonest staff. It was an extremely disappointing and untrustworthy experience. I would strongly advise others not to stay here if you are carrying valuable items, gadgets, or cash. Buffet breakfast was very good: scramble eggs, breads, juice, and fresh fruit. Location was within walking distance to Copacabana Beach and around the corner from the subway station. A/C unit was strong and WIFI was good. Mosquitoes kept coming into the room, possibly through the gaps in the A/C unit from the outside. We were staying on the 10th floor so likely not from the hallway. Killed several each day, but should be expected, since this is Brazil.
