Hotel was old, shower leaked. Staff was superb.

The two positives about this property were the really kind front desk staff, and the very brightly lit parking lot. I chose this as a solo female because the Expedia bullet point said It was recommended by solo travelers. Whoever they are, I'd say they're not solo women! The building is in disrepair on the outside, and the rooms felt clean-ish. The pool was green and had trash floating in it. The property did not feel solo-female safe at all though, and I locked myself in the room at 6pm with my dog and didn't open the door again until I left at 6am. There were two men right outside my door talking loudly for an hour about scary sad things and I have never felt more unsafe. I would have left if I was brave enough to open the door after they stopped talking. I slept with the lights on and my dog was on alert all night. This hotel may function fine and well for oil field workers or someone else but I cannot say enough that this is not a place for a solo female traveler. I had booked another night in a month but I cancelled it from the room and hopefully Expedia and the hotel can refund my money. If not I will eat the cost as a loss because I will not return.

The room we had was in need of a complete gut & remodel. Air conditioner needs replacing. Need new wiring & more updated plugs. The need was not comfortable. It had a great size frig & freezer. A table to sit at. We did not eat breakfast. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Don't think I'd stay again unless rooms got remodeled.

Property needs to be updated. Overall appearance of rooms is shabby. Bathroom is dated & has rust on much of the chrome. Beds slept okay & TV, microwave & Fridge were fine. Outlets were missing covers & chair legs wobbly.

I booked through here and when I arrived the room I booked was not available. The staff mentioned this has happened before. The suites were not clean, and the wait time in the lobby was long.

The front desk staff was AWESOME! We had an issue in our room and they moved us to another quickly. They accommodated us with our big German Shepard. Even gave us a late checkout due to an event we were attending. Despite the renovations and the older hotel, we really enjoyed our stay! Theresa at the front desk in the evenings was a rock star!

I didn't get to stay. The computer system was down and I couldn't check in. I had to go elsewhere and get a room. The guy behind the counter tried for about 30 minutes to get me checked in. Good on him.

Pretty tired condition, bathroom fan sounded like a tractor, ice machine broken and no other option. The breakfast was ok.

Seemed like I was the only person who’s tv didn’t work. The room I was moved too didn’t have a working tv either. There was no upfront notification about the problems they were having with the tvs.

My room didn’t get clean at all, I’ll never stay at this hotel anymore .

Everything was ok. But in 4 days i stayed, they never went to clean the room. And continental breakfasr can be improved.

This property is very rundown. There was chipped and missing paint on the exterior doors leading into the rooms and inside the rooms as well. The bathtub looked dirty. The towels and bedding were clean. The staff was kind and courteous. The breakfast was very basic. I had oatmeal and a hard boiled egg. The icemaker was not working. Per the employee I asked, it’s part of the renovation. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice how rundown the property was when I booked my room on hotels.com. The bathtub was very old with the ceiling crumbling, the refrigerator did not work. When you put your hand into the freezer, you just felt water present. And the TV remote needed new batteries, but the main desk doesn’t have batteries for the remote. The room was clean. the bed was comfortable, and the heating system was fine.

The suite was roomy. Unfortunately the bedding smelt like cigarettes. The tub was dirty. I refrained from using it. I didn't sleep well. The clerk told me the outside doors were always left open which made us uneasy. I believe this accomodations are for oil workers. B

I picked it because everyone one I stayed in before was amazing. This one not so much. Had to move around parking because of broke fence down and towing a trailer. Walked up the stairs and some of the stair concrete was busted up and broken.

False advertising led me to cancel room within 1hr of booking the room. The location was a motel with a subpar room, not like the one I stayed in the previous night in Garland, TX. I cancelled the room and customer service was not able to help me get in touch with the hotel to waive the cancellation fee which I must now pursue on my own. I haven’t used hotel.com in over 2 years because of similar incident and this will be last time because of the shady business practices charging fees to cancel and then offering no help to waive cancellation fees for valid cancellation within a reasonable time frame. I will be contacting BBB and writing reviews wherever I can. I will also recover the bogus cancellation charges as well.

Tub was stained up some and the toilet hardly had any water pressure to it and literally took 10 seconds to flush and you had to hold the handle down the whole time. Breakfast isn't much. Upon check in we realized that our room was backed up to a train track and the train shook the room and was so loud there was no sleeping. We were going to suck it up until we saw the shower. No thank you! We were there an hour and we have requested a refund over and over again. Not only did they not give us a refund, they have charged us another $59 for who knows what! Do not stay here!

I honestly think the property should be condemned. The room was so nasty and old dirty. Shower was so bad that I didn't even shower there. Its not the brand, its this location.

The room smelled like smoke (Marijuana) and in general not good at all.

It had a good rating for the price. The refrigerator worked. It’s right next to a railroad track, the tv didn’t work, the coffee maker was dirty, bugs in the sink, the light switch didn’t work, the staff was less than welcoming, no soap, and only one wash cloth. We won’t be back.

N/A Booked the room for my parents while I was in labor with my first child. My parents drove 6 hours to be here. My father had his id and card but was refused at check in because it wasn’t a “major credit card” (he has a cashapp card) my mom had a regular bank card but id was expired the lady at the front desk was rude about the situation and refused service. My father called me to let me know I told the lady on the phone I’ve stayed at another la Quinta property with my fiancé and used a cashapp card and had no problem and she said well I can’t do it

The fact that I leave to go get some clean clothes and I witnessed the lady cleaning my room and my belongings I had to go hunt them down and they refuse to give me my robe that they stole off of the bed i tried to be civil it's not cheap but the manager or the owner was not very helpful police report was made for theft 50% off a night is not going to cover $180 robe sir if it was yours belonging it would be a whole different situation

I always have a good stay here when in Odessa. The outside needs some sprucing up but the rooms are always clean and comfortable inside. I always feel safe at this hotel and that means as much as anything since I'm usually traveling alone. I get aggravated when I have to get the key cards reactivated every day at each stay but since they updated the door locks I think it is a personnel issue more than mechanical- that is really the only complaint I could have.

The front desk clerks were super nice! The air unit worked during the day but at night we were sweating. All 3 nights we stayed we tried working with it but no amount of turning off/on was helpful.

Bathrooms were in bad shape and dirty. The front desk staff was not good, there was only 1 person working at check in time and the line was crazy long. One morning the housekeeping ladies open my room door while i was in the room, she didn't knock or announced herself, she just opened the door, she did apologized, but come on...

I showed up from my room and was told that it was not available. I had to find another place to stay at 1 o’clock in the morning.

Hotel would not accept my credit card. They should post the requirements on the website. Horrible service will definitely not be using that location for future stays.

We went to hotel. They were booked and cancelled our reservation. Since we used Travelocity we would have to get w them about the refund. It was a total mess and never got my money back.

I paid for the room in advance but the clerk would not accept my corporate credit card for the deposit. He was going to turn me away and the card plainly said corporate. The heat in the room was broken and it was snowing outside. It was so cold in the room i couldnt take a shower the next morning.

Great place to get a nights sleep when working on the road. Room was clean, Shower was hot, Bed was comfortable. What more do you need. Food was decent.

Shout out to Daniel at reception, he was excellent and engaging the entire time not only with me but with other guests. The only reason I will visit again is because of Daniel. Property needs a lot of renovation and the rooms stinks a lot, quite different from other LA QUINTA.

Upon arrival i was having issues with my reservation. Every hotel has their way and we have to adapt to it. So the Front desk attendant took it upon herself to do my portion on her computers to better and faster. JUST REMEMBER, this is not the normal way of doing things so please don't expect this.. i had just driven 5.5 hours. Can't say enough for their overall staff.. Awesome!!

The place was a little difficult to find because the link provided on the email belongs to a different place. In general the place is very clean, it's all you need to shower and sleep.

They wouldn't take my card aftet i already booked and paid online so the frint desk canceled my reservation and i had to find another hotel with a good price in a short time

The room was FILTHY! Stains on one of the beds under the blanket. Other bed didn’t have stains but had fur on it. Mystery gunk and smear in the tub. Toilet seat had dried up stuff on it and was chewed up on one side. Towels were stiff and smelled like it sat in used oil and was attempted to be washed only once. I have always liked La Quinta, but my stay at this location was horrible, uncomfortable ,inconvenient and frustrating. I had to leave early needing to use the toilet. I did not use the restroom there or take a shower. It was that bad for me. I left and check in to another hotel.

Excellent stay...hotel was awesome...great pool super comfy beds great a.c. and i cant remember the gentlemens name that worked the desk from 3 to 11 but superb customer service...very kind very nice and did an amazing job at making out stay comfy for us

They should offer different variety freezer meals and hot pockets in the front in there snack area because what they have now is not very great . PERKS , the people are so nice and PETS STAY FREE. Low weekly rates .

The room was fine and staff was good. But there was lots of construction in front of the motel. In avoidable situation.

The room phone and remote control was non functional. Unfortunately my mobile was out of service that is when I checked the phone. But the plug inlet to the phone from the source was broken. Phone service should be must!

Run down needs to be sprayed for bed bugs. The ceiling in bathroom was falling apart . Probably been better off sleeping in my truck . I went to Home Depot and bought bed bug spray . Will not ever use this motel again .

Everything was good except not being able to go swimming in the pool. Apparently the owner got the permit but didnt meet the safty requirements.

The staff and room were great. The room full of drunks next door made sleeping impossible.

Decent hotel for the price and outstanding service. The man at the front desk in the evenings is great, if theres any issues with your reservation or room he will do anything he can to help. Even seen him single handedly handle a lobby full of complaints and situations and mange to resolve every single issue and keep everyone happy all at once. I dont recall his name but if the middle aged man that runs the hotel in the evenings is on shift you can rest assured your stay will be perfect.
