Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Odessa

Eggs and potatoes swam in condensation water and the coffee out of the machine tasted horrible and I forgot a dress in the closet which housekeeping never turned in and the manager never called me back about it. Definitely enough to not stay there again.

Staff very pleasant, full breakfast was great, room layout was perfect with built in desk and kitchenette, only issue was garbage disposal which we didn't use. Beds extremely comfortable! Large screen TV!

We were staying there while our child was in the hospital. Having the nice, clean rooms to take a break in were awesome. Being able to wash some clothes there so so helpful. Would definitely be our first choice of places to stay if needed again. The hotel was excellent!!!

Everything was really good just the rooms were a little dusty in the kitchen area and floors but other than that amazing staff

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, bathroom cleanliness was okay. Free laundry mat was a nice perk. Location felt safe.

I arrived late in night (2:15 am) and although I had called ahead to tell them and they said no problem, no one was at the desk. I did not get into my room until 3 am.

The room was clean and smelled nice. The staff was friendly with each interaction over our week long stay. Bonus for the complimentary on site guest laundry facility, it was a saving grace at the end of our week to not have to come home and do laundry as soon as we unpacked

The room was large and fully equipped for a lengthy stay. The only real deficit was the breakfast was really weak. Not up to more than two star rating.

The room was fine but lots of unfinished trim work and parts of the hotel itself falling apart.

Stayed here on businesses for 3 days and 4 nights. Staff was excellent. The breakfast was a plus as well. The kitchen was a great feature as we like to cook over eating out. Would stay here again.

The beds were comfortable and they had a good breakfast. The staff was friendly. The breaker switch for my room kept breaking and I didn't have any power in the room. I called the front desk and they said they didn't have any other rooms available. This was around 730 at night. The next morning, I spoke with a manger and she said there were other rooms and didn't know how why I was told there wasn't. I was moved to another room for the next night and was told I would be getting a refund for the room that didn't work. The new room worked out fine. I was never issued a refund, they said it had to be approved through the owner. No response from the owner and I never received a refund.

The hotel was rated well for cleanliness however during a 4 day stay, housekeeping did not turn down the room a single time. My door looked as though it had been broken down, the secondary lock was broke off, the main door handle and scan lock were loose and the door had damage. I was pretty concerned my first night. The dishes were not clean, I did not have a bath mat. The floors were so gross I couldn’t walk barefoot without my feet getting sticky or black. Breakfast left a lot to be desired and the pool was closed the whole time. It was just a very undesirable stay. The bed was comfortable and that was about the best I could say for the stay.

Location to nearby job site. I could hear vehicles drag racing all night long. The people next door woke me up at 3:00 AM and made loud noises until 5:00 AM. I got little to no sleep and couldn't perform my job the following day.

I thought housekeeping would come in with fresh towels and make the bed..

The breakfast was lacking, had to ask for juice the two mornings I ate there, as their juice dispenser was not operating, the last morning I chose to eat somewhere else. Also, one evening while waiting in the lobby to be picked up I could smell something with a pungent odor and the individual behind the desk said it was worse in the offices. She came out from behind the desk to check some electrical items as she believed it was smoke. Sure enough about five minutes later she found greasy rags in knit bags leaning up against the wall in the laundry room smoldering. Rags and towels soaked with oils and grease can spontaneously combust under the right conditions. She took them outside.

Friendly staff at check in, only issue restroom barn door would get stuck and we couldn’t get out of restroom.

The room layout was great! The kitchen and bathroom sinks were not clean. The dishes in the cupboard were not very clean. The dishwasher wasn’t working properly and the coffee pot wasn’t working. There was also small particles of food in the utensil drawer.

I want to say that this staff at the hotel was amazing above average and the best. The lady at then counter and the manager need to get a raise they were above and beyond professional

I love their there 24 hour coffee bar in the lobbey. The workout gym is equipped with new machines that can give you a good enough workout to keep you fit while traveling.

This is my favorite place to stay when I travel to Odessa for work. The staff is friendly and the bar is great! I've stayed here more times than I can count! I have no complaints.

Needs to fix their shower heads and water pressure but perfect stay

It is a little far from restaurants. Only complaints are internet is a little hard to login to and the shower water pressure was low.

Service at front desk was slow, lobby and elevator were dirty (floors sticky), luggage carts were falling apart, guests were mostly oil field workers who are not considerate of family’s staying at the hotel. Group of guests were at the pool loud, partying till 3am. Door jam on room door was broke and could not lock door properly. We left a day early!

Staff, breakfast, cleanliness. Person in charge of breakfast didn't take more bacon out. But I think she was waiting for more to be cooked. I'm not sure.

I'm guessing they're short on cleaning staff - I emptied my trash cans on day 4 of no cleaning service, and regularly saw trash bags sitting outside of other rooms in the mornings. The bed was fine and wifi was good (around 80mbps consistently).

Awful cable service. Wanted to watch a soccer game and no Univision available. I was not the only one complaining. The mayority of the costumers are sports fans and there are no channels available for that.

The rolling door was jammed due to improper use by a previous guest. Hopefully the suggested bar across the top of the rollers (between the flanges but not touching the roller) will prevent future damage.

Cleaning was not horrible, just not thorough. Odessa is an Oil field town, so I imagine it's hard to get help.

The star ranking is inaccurate. There was dust and dirt everywhere and staff was not helpful.

The pool was cloudy and breakfast times were too short. Food was not available or restocked during eating times.

Smoking areas are filthy. Room was clean but the entry door knob hits wall and some of the plaster was off the wall. Breakfast area was nice and clean service was good but we had our DND sign up until noon then left and never got room service (probably my fault). LOTS of oilfield workers so parking was tight. All in all- a five out of ten.

Booked a king but upon arrival only queens were available. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Will not stay there again.

Got call back to work early and had to cancel my last nights stay and the hotel refused to refund me. DO NOT recommend.

We needed maintenance to fix the plumbing in the sinks- but he was super fast and nice. And of course, it is always nice to have a suite space when you're on a business trip- so that was good too.

Like every hotel there are a few cosmetic things but nothing that would ever stop me from staying here again.

The reviews looked good when we booked. The check in was fine. However it went downhill from there. I wanted an extra towel for my morning shower. I was told I would have to bring to old one to exchange. The hall floors were dirty as well as the room and bathroom floors. The electrical breaker in the room tripped about 4 times. The remote was not working properly and the attendant has to get a remote from another room because they don’t keep batteries. After the breaker tripped for about the 5th time, we were offered another room. This one was not much cleaner.

The neighbors were rude and obnoxious until almost 3am

Check in was fine, room was dirty, towels looked like they hadn’t been washed, other peoples hair still in the shower. The shower door kept rolling open and flooded the bathroom floor. They wouldn’t give me more towels until I returned the dirty ones that I had soaked up the floor with.

The bed was firm, not saggy like most hotels I’ve used. Also, the room and facility was super clean and the room had a non carpeted floor.

I have stay in this hotel before and I really like it that’s why I chose it again but I was dirty the floor, the shower and the little kitchenette was dirty.

I couldn’t sleep because was super noisy and you can hear everything from the next room and the street, not staying there again.

This was my first stay at this hotel, and i was very pleased. I started with being greeted very warmly. I truly appreciated such a wonderful welcome. Next, the room was very nice and clean and a comfortable bed. There isn't much of a view, but that is an Odessa issue, not a hotel issue. The breakfast was enjoyable. The only thing missing was complimentary water. There are 2 water fountains on the main floor, but Odessa water does not taste very good.

Minus: there is no information in the room about the hotel and its amenities, nor was there information on local points of interest or local dining. We were there three nights. We never saw maid service. Our trash was not emptied nor was the room made up during our entire stay.

I enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately due to the weather i was leaking a day early and the front desk would not issue me a refund for one night after I've already stayed for three night's
